It took a while until the food came and the community food plate was spoiled, all of the group Assen had to throw up later, that's not okay, the bill was also excessive, never again

We're back at the Parthenon after a long time. The food wasn't as good as before, and the staff was new, but we were happy to see the waiter who had been absent for a while—a young and very friendly man. We will be back and are delighted with his service.

We've been regular guests for many years, and we have nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, there are always some East German complainers—that's why they don't do anything.

Unfortunately, we didn't feel comfortable at all. When we ordered, the waiter asked us to "hurry up." We felt like we were sitting at a fast-food restaurant. We had to quickly make room for the next person, and on top of that, the food wasn't very good value for money and, unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it either.

The food was simply fantastic. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. You feel like you're on vacation here. Absolutely recommend it!

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment! Panthenon really disappointed me with its outrageous prices. These are the most expensive dishes I've seen in Leipzig... For example, a portion of chicken breast with Metaxa sauce and a small plate of fries costs €20-23!!!! There are hardly any main courses under €20 anymore. Fish is around €30. The portions have gotten smaller over the years, okay... inflation says hello, but the food isn't anything special that justifies the prices. You could also tell that today, for a Saturday evening, it was quite quiet (only 40% full), whereas a year ago it was packed!... The service was mostly okay, but not very child-friendly, except for the oldest waiter (who's been there for years) who really made an effort - thanks for that! It's a shame that the restaurant's potential isn't better utilized. Perhaps they should focus on quality and service before adjusting prices so drastically.

We returned to the Parthenon after a long absence and were quite disappointed. The food was no longer of the quality we were used to, and it had become considerably more expensive. The wine seemed to us to be adulterated. The service was okay, although we sometimes felt rushed... All in all, we found it tastier and the value for money better.

Dieses griechische Restaurant ist für meine Familie und mich einfach der Ort, an den wir immer wieder zurückkehren. Wir kommen seit Jahren her – und es ist wirklich das beste griechische Restaurant in der ganzen Stadt. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Das Essen ist jedes Mal eine absolute Freude – frisch, hausgemacht und voller Geschmack. Besonders lieben wir das Lamm, das immer butterzart und perfekt gewürzt ist. Auch das Souvlaki ist ein Klassiker, den wir nie auslassen – saftig, aromatisch, einfach richtig gut. Der griechische Ofenkäse ist ein Muss, genauso wie die Bratkartoffeln, die außen knusprig und innen weich sind. Ehrlich gesagt: Wir haben uns schon durch die halbe Karte probiert und noch nie etwas gehabt, das uns nicht geschmeckt hat. Was wir aber besonders lieben, ist die Atmosphäre. Man wird immer herzlich begrüßt, es ist familiär, ungezwungen und gleichzeitig sehr aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich hier nie wie ein „Kunde“, sondern wie ein gern gesehener Gast. Diese Herzlichkeit spürt man jedes Mal. Und was wirklich beeindruckend ist: Die Qualität bleibt konstant – egal wie oft wir kommen, es ist immer hervorragend. Für uns ist das viel mehr als nur ein Restaurant – es ist mit so vielen schönen Erinnerungen verbunden und ein Stück Zuhause geworden. Wer echtes, liebevoll gemachtes griechisches Essen sucht, kommt an diesem Ort nicht vorbei. Wirklich ein Herzensort für uns.

Visiting friends—that's how you could describe a visit to this Greek restaurant, judging by the warm welcome and friendly service. We enjoy coming back to this restaurant often and for various reasons. The food is delicious and the menu is extensive, so there's something for everyone. 😋 The only thing is the parking situation, which is a bit tricky, but as we all know, a short walk after dinner can't hurt. 😉 We look forward to our next visit 🤓🫶🥂

A Greek restaurant just as I imagine it! A warm welcome upon entry, a warm atmosphere, of course with typical background music (but not intrusive), a large selection of dishes, including some with Metaxa sauce. The prices aren't cheap, but they're fair. My portion of gyros left me feeling quite full.

The restaurant and the atmosphere are inviting and decorated in a typically Greek way. The staff are friendly and warm. Please note that we do not accept credit or debit cards. You are sent to the gas station and asked to get cash. It's like the Stone Age! In general it is also too expensive for what is offered. Metaxa with sliced ​​meat simply had a whole chicken in it.

We were there for the first time, just correct, that's it. Immediately greeted with a handshake. Everything happened quickly. We had lamb shanks. They were actually just warmed up, the layer of fat wasn't tasty. The knuckle, which according to the menu had soft cheese, only had a tiny piece of cheese on it, like two postage stamps. The tomato based sauce tasted too good as it had a lot of sugar. It tastes good at first, but it's not good for your blood sugar. We left 55 euros for two meals, regular menu, two drinks, and were hungry again less than half an hour later. You probably have to order side dishes here to fill yourself up. Only then will you probably be served the ouzo, we didn't get any, other tables got some.

After many years we went back to the restaurant. We were absolutely thrilled. Friendly welcome, very good menu and delicious 😋 food. We would be happy to come back.

Food arrived quickly, fish for me and baked pasta for my girlfriend, which was also prepared quickly. Very nice service staff, friendly and accommodating. We were there at very short notice (called 20 minutes in advance) but a table was still prepared even though it was already very full on Saturday evening. Clear recommendation! :)

Quite comfortable for the size of the restaurant. Staff friendly. We could have stopped by the table a little more often to take orders. Main courses and starters were very good. The desserts were catastrophic. Ice cream with hot raspberries is just raspberry sauce without any noticeable raspberries, ice cream chocolate was also not edible.

The food is fabulous and really recommended. What doesn't work at all - the service. While all the waiters make an effort (drinks and food come really quickly), paying is not without cheeky comments. Plus grimacing and imitating your guests when you can't decide quickly enough whether you want to pay with card or cash.

We chose the restaurant because of the reviews and thought the food would be good. The small starter salad was quite nice and the pepperoni we ordered was tasty, at least in terms of aroma. The Metaxa sauce also tastes good. Our two main courses with gyros, veal liver, souflaki and steaks with fries and fried potatoes were unfortunately very weak in taste. The fries and fried potatoes also lacked salt and unfortunately they weren't fried potatoes but, to be honest, fried potato slices. By fried potatoes I mean fried and not potato slices from the deep fryer. But I didn't feel like sprinkling my food with salt or pepper because that wouldn't have given it the typical Greek taste. The service is very friendly so far, but unfortunately I didn't like the main course at all and was also very cold. Unfortunately, I wouldn't eat there again and would choose another restaurant.

First of all I have to praise the great food. It was really fantastic and was brought to the table relatively quickly. Unfortunately we had a bit of bad luck with the waiter. Either he doesn't like his job or had a problem with us. No smile, no kind word and when he made a mistake in the billing, he rolled his eyes in annoyance. It's a shame, the young waitress who brought us the food was super friendly and we were also given a very warm welcome. Ouzo as a farewell was apparently only available to regular guests. It shouldn't actually happen that such differences are made.

Simply delicious, we were greeted with an ouzo. The food is amazing. The garlic bread was very crunchy and delicious. It went perfectly with the salad, which was also very good. The main courses were on point. Really a Greek who is completely convincing. The staff is also very friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. Something went wrong with the payment. So we went to withdraw money and left a deposit. At the end we were even given wine as a gift. So the visit will definitely be repeated.

After a long break, we (two people) recently went back to the Parthenon for dinner. Unfortunately, this evening ended disappointingly. When we arrived we were given a table in a rather unfriendly manner. After 15 minutes a waiter took pity and took our orders/drinks and food, which he had obviously forgotten to place. After another 30 minutes!!! After waiting, the drinks arrived and then the food. So far we have always raved about the excellent quality of the food, but this evening... the fried potatoes were smothered with tzatziki, the fries were unseasoned and even though the meat itself was very good, the taste was a disappointment compared to before. After the meal, when clearing away, the waiter literally said "quick the plates, no time". The outdoor seating area was at most half full at the time, but unfortunately two of the three waiters were unfriendly, inattentive and annoyed. The previous boss wasn't there either, maybe that was why. It's a real shame, but we definitely won't be coming back.

The food was okay. The prices are justified. But unfortunately the service is not at all. After greeting you, the waiter leaves you standing there stupidly... I don't expect to get a free ouzo. But of course it's nice when he comes. The alcohol-free version is suitable for children. Most Greek restaurants do that too. Drinks and food were ordered and came quickly with the obligatory salad plate. But: no request for additional drinks or desserts!! Only the phrase about whether it tasted good. Not interested in sales?? When you are finally allowed to pay after a while, the EC device is slammed down and you are told that paying with a VISA card would be fraud. (What's the point of such a thing?) At the end there was an ouzo for 2 adults!? We will no longer implement the requested “goodbye”! In contrast to before, I didn't feel like a welcome guest here.

It's always nice to come back there. You know the staff there because you're not welcomed as a guest but as a member of the family. The food is just great. We'll go there again and again.

Been here again for a long time but extremely disappointed. Arrogant, ignorant waiters. One order was completely wrong, I ordered gyros with rice and calamari. Gyros came with fries and liver. The waiter, annoyed, took it back, then came back with the same plate, only the liver had been scraped off. When we were told again, the calamari was thrown onto the table without a word. After further instructions to bring the right food, rice came instead of fries, but everything was cold. We also waited in vain for a beer we ordered. No apology or insight from the waiter. My "salad" was actually just oil and the other dishes were also miserable compared to before. never again, not recommended.

I haven't had that yet either. At the Greek restaurant, after a decent turnover with a starter, main course and 3 drinks, no ouzo was added to the bill! Average taste. It was clear to the employees that the separate bill was annoying them and it showed. For the next round of men we went back to Rhodes, where it was still human. Even if we cycle 15 minutes further must. I have also been here with my family and was treated more kindly.

After 1 hour the plates were picked up and the glasses were left standing and the waiter was also in a really bad mood... The neighboring table was empty and was served at the hour when we could theoretically have been served. Better to wipe it 3 times. Very very sad.

We have been guests here for many years. It's always very nice. You are greeted as a friend and treated as such. The food and service is first class. I can just recommend it to everybody.

Rarely have I had such a bad Greek meal. Unfortunately the salad was drowned in oil. This made it unpalatable. I tried to make it more bearable with the balsamic vinegar from the table, but it had probably been there for a while. 😣 The food was OK, but nothing more. Everything is loveless. Unfortunately there was no response to our criticism. Despite all of this, the staff was very friendly and the ambience isn't that bad. This is worth the two stars. It should also be noted that the restaurant was quite full, so it was still very popular. It's probably because we're used to something different.

One of the best restaurants in Leipzig! +: easily accessible by car (lots of parking spaces, all free) or tram 4 (final stop), very friendly staff and great service, good ambience, every table has its own niche so you can have your own time, starters and main courses all taste so damn good good (especially the gyros with metaxa, the fish and the lamb) The good atmosphere and the good food make every evening here perfect. Everyone must have been here! -: Actually there are no negative points. The Parthenon is simply amazing. Everyone who comes from Leipzig North knows this. But: That means it is always incredibly crowded. On Friday and Saturday evenings you have to reserve in advance (several days in advance), otherwise you won't get a table. Prices have risen sharply. No dish costs less than €16. On average you can spend 30€ per person. calculate. It can get very loud in the restaurant. Then you can no longer understand each other when you talk at a normal volume. In addition, the outdoor area is quite small, so in summer you often only get a place inside.

I have no idea where all the positive reviews come from. You have to whistle to the waiter to order. You sit in front of empty plates forever. Water glasses are dirty and broken on the table. Food is carelessly “decorated” and you expect a lot more for the price of the food. Fries not fresh but the cheapest frost fries, tzatziki prepared with quark, fish is fried to death. Waiters seem overwhelmed. I'd like to say it again, for the price you expect much more than simple canteen food
