Current news 08/29/23: Unfortunately, the landlady didn't manage to keep the delicious, cozy shop running or continue to run it. And so the restaurant no longer exists. Really a shame. The food tastes amazing! Such delicious meat and the schnitzels are amazing. So if you like eating meat, this is the place for you. The landlady is so warm and accommodating, unfortunately the landlady (her husband) recently passed away (Dec 22). Let's hope that the landlady continues to run the restaurant, that would be a big loss for Remscheid if not. Wish her all the best and lots of strength! Regarding the ambience, I agree with most reviews that it is a pub restaurant. But that's not a bad or negative thing in any way, because it makes you feel more comfortable, it feels like you're going to friends' houses, you don't have to behave and dress as poshly as you would in a fancy restaurant. So everything has its advantages, just like everyone likes it.

Wir waren gestern zu fünft in dem hervorragenden Restaurant, hatten fünf verschiedene Essen bestellt die sehr schnell und auf einmal kamen. We tried it for the first time and they said it was so delicious, unfortunately I can't confirm that at all. Labberrich's fries aren't cooked properly, and I paid €5.20 for a large frie that looked like a normal frie. Gyros wasn't that great either. I've eaten better ones. The shop doesn't look very inviting either... Since they work with Lieferando, the snack bar is full of boxes. I wasn't understood properly when I ordered. The lady had to ask two times because she didn't understand or speak German well. But they were very friendly and tried hard. Unfortunately for me the food isn't worth it for the price.

Fangen wir mit den beiden positiven Dingen an: 1. Es sind ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden und das obwohl sehr viele Menschen hier gleichzeitig Platz finden und es auch heute sehr gut gefüllt war. 2. Die Atmosphäre und die Hälfte der uns bedienenden Servicekräfte waren freundlich und schnell. Nun die Dinge die mich wirklich fassungslos gemacht haben: 1. Ich habe mir das Rumpsteak mit frischem, deutschem Spargel sowie den Drillingen bestellt. Der Spargel war nicht gut geschält, das Steak eher warm als heiß. 2. Die Menge: Ich hatte - das ist nicht überspitzt formuliert - 4!!! dünne, fast kalte Spargelstangen und gerade so genug Drillinge, das ich nicht noch richtig hungrig geblieben bin… …der Preis: 26,50€. 3. Ich würde gerne schreiben das nur meine Portion zu klein gewesen ist, aber u.a. der Spargel mit Drillingen oder auch die Schweinefiletmeddallions in Champignonrahmsauce und Kroketten hatten exakt EINEN geviertelten Champignon in der ansonsten ausschließlich nach Sahne schmeckenden Sauce. Alles in allem leider sehr enttäuschend.

Had a great meal again today, of course at Afroditi, every bite was a pleasure, steak with fries, grilled eggplant as a starter, peppers and zucchini with tzatziki and salad for the main course, super delicious
