Food is ok...but a bit disappointed because you got two very flat schnitzels with breading...whether it was pressed meat can't be said for sure...heavy for the price. . However, you always have to reserve a place in advance... there are only 3 restaurants in the area... unfortunately this restaurant only opens at 5:30 p.m. and is closed twice a week (Sunday and Monday)...

During our stay in the Harz, we spontaneously ate there on May 4th, 2025. I knew the “economy” from my childhood days and was last there over 40 years ago. Of course, a lot has changed. We were warmly welcomed even though we hadn't made a reservation. It may be that it was easier to get a table because we were in the Harz outside of the peak tourist season. Nevertheless, we received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose a table. You have to take some time with you as the food is freshly prepared. We each had a starter and the Cordon Bleu with fried potatoes. It was very tasty and plentiful. Hopefully we can go there again on our next vacation in the Harz. So if you like good home cooking, “Auf dem Rübchen” is the right place for you. We'll definitely be back. Thank you to the entire team and please keep it up for a very long time.

Very friendly hospitality at moderate prices. And also very tasty.

We were there for lunch today. Super delicious food, we tried a lot from salmon trout to venison goulash, everything was super fresh and very tasty. The homemade croquettes and the homemade lemonade are also very tasty. Very accommodating, friendly staff, waitress was great and took great care of us. We took some smoked trout with us and we're looking forward to it. We'll be back 🤩
