We agree with the previous reviews. This is a great place! You have to eat here if you are in town. Delicious schnitzels, great and super attentive service. Simply great and very warm. Danger! Small restaurant, very popular and fills up quickly. So maybe. Even make a reservation if you are more than just 2 people.

The restaurant is located directly on the main street in Friedrichsbrunn. Mainly schnitzels are offered in several variations. The service is very courteous and quick.

We reserved a table at 5:30 p.m., which worked out great, the drinks order was taken quickly and they were brought relatively quickly. After we ordered the food there was 1.5 hours of silence, nothing, we weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink... Nothing... After 1.5 hours the food came, salad wasn't fresh. Schnitzel, if you can call it that, came probably from the freezer at Lidl, dead fried and fatty, totally greasy and tasteless. Fries and the sauce were good. When we wanted to pay, the lady, instead of bringing us the bill, started clearing the neighboring table, at our request, to finally bring us the bill (we had two small children with us, who were slow had to go to bed and were already totally crazy) the lady became really unfriendly and said that she couldn't share either. I can't recommend the food at all, just like the service, the house beer (light) is delicious.

I was at the Bräustübl with friends on Saturday, thank God we had a reservation. (Is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment) Since you're not just there to fill yourself up, there's no problem waiting for your food, but you get it fresh and not warmed up. Although everyone “only” had schnitzel, they were excellent and prepared with a lot of sophistication. Thanks to the very friendly and attentive service, there was no lack of replenishment of drinks. (Another reason to wait a bit) Worth every penny and definitely a reason to come back. This restaurant can only be rated 5 stars. Many thanks to the entire team.

€6.50 for a cup of coffee in a simple and rather old-fashioned restaurant is absolutely outrageous and we strongly advise against a visit.

We reserved a table here online with confirmation. When we arrived on site, no one knew anything about it. We could have sat at the counter, but we declined because we wanted to eat something comfortably. Surely mistakes happen to everyone, but the lady's way was impossible. Rude, annoyed and no apology. The man tried a little harder, but that didn't really help. At least they won't see us again.

We got two more seats at the counter without a reservation. Super nice staff and the food was very tasty and rich. Harzer noble brandies are very happy to recommend!

Delicious food at fair prices. We had a good meal here and will definitely come back. The schnitzel dishes are also available with vegan vegetable schnitzels for those who don't like eating meat. Tip: reserve a table in advance on the weekend as the restaurant is busy.

I found the Bräustübl online before we arrived and reserved a table straight away. I have to say: you feel like you're at grandma's Sunday lunch table. The ambience also reminded me of my childhood with grandma. Just beautiful. For dinner I had the Ostalgie schnitzel... again a childhood memory! The service was honestly friendly. Not like other upscale places where you get your butt powdered. There is genuine Ostalgian friendliness here! We'll definitely come back again. Thumbs up and keep it up!

For us it was a great and new experience to be able to enjoy this handmade food. We would describe it as honest cuisine where you don't have to go home hungry. The photo shows, among other things, the XL version of a schnitzel dish. There are 4 schnitzels on the plate. The fried potatoes were cut into cubes and s nice and crispy. Even though it was actually plenty of food, everything felt good in the stomach. :-) From our point of view, the starters also deserve a recommendation. We didn't manage to have dessert. If we are in the Harz again, we will definitely throw food there again.

We hadn't made a reservation, but were allowed to come back after an hour and there was a place reserved for us. In the cozy parlor you get solid home cooking with a large selection of schnitzels, the portions are good, everything tastes fresh. To get a pub like this you have to go there, the food is good.

The schnitzel fan has come to the right place here. One thing in advance, call ahead and reserve a table. 😉 I had the Harzer Stinker in size M, which means 2 schnitzels each 100g (S=1x100g.) So, size M is a lot. I'm not the thinnest under the sun, but I really struggled. The taste was really great and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Incidentally, all schnitzel dishes can also be ordered as a vegetarian version. P. S.: Try the Ragout Fin, it's something different. 😉 My conclusion: Recommended 👍👍👍

After the HWN's successful stamp aria, a well-deserved dinner at Hanolds Bräustübl. Very nice service, we felt welcome straight away. We ordered: Schnitzel ou four with a side salad (the eyes were bigger than the mouth again), Schnitzel Pan (with shepherd's cheese) and nuggets for the child. Everything was delivered quickly ;) and was very tasty! Even the nuggets, which you often only get as deep-fried frozen goods, were homemade! Really great! Conclusion: Absolute recommendation, value for money ok, food excellent, service excellent. If you want to try schnitzel in an unusual version, you've come to the right place :)) We would love to come back…

We are a women's group and are guests at the Bräustübl every year. We are always very satisfied with the service and the delicious food and the friendly service. And we're already looking forward to next year.

Was there with friends, it was delicious as always 😋 Since I've been a regular guest for many years, I can take my hat off to the innkeepers and their team. Even though the shop is always full, the waitress keeps an overview and is always friendly. By the way, it is a historic inn and so I find the furnishings appropriate and not old-fashioned. Some guests don't have to be understood when rating them 🤦‍♀️

Very good food, we didn't have to wait long and the prices were reasonable, there were great children's meals for children. Unfortunately, a waitress was not seen again after the food was served. The atmosphere is a bit old-fashioned.

Food was great! Unfortunately, the extra requests (due to intolerances) were not completely fulfilled and were instead forgotten. It can happen but unfortunately that's missing from the 5th star.

The restaurant is a bit older. Music from the 80s and 90s. We had the Jägerschnitzel with fresh mushrooms. That was really great. The salad also had a great fruity note.

We lived about 450m away and were there on Thursday around 5:45 p.m. without a reservation. Only 1 table outside was occupied. Unfortunately, the waiter told us that all tables were reserved even though there was enough space inside. So unfortunately we couldn't stay there and went to the klobenberg building. When we drove past Hanolds about 1.5 hours later there were only two tables occupied outside. It's a shame that they were so inflexible. Maybe you should write on the website that you have to make a reservation!!!!

We can warmly recommend it, it's so delicious 🔨. I wanted another ice cream but I wasn't allowed (big stomach). :-( There's also something fun for the little ones. So our daughter was really satisfied and happy. We saw it on the neighboring table, the icebreaker looked delicious.

We were completely thrilled. The Bräustübl was filled to capacity. A reservation is recommended. The number of schnitzel variations is really great. And in sizes small/normal/mega. The owners are very friendly, despite the fact that the inn was very busy. You have to wait a bit for the food, but you are even more rewarded. By the way, Radeberger is available on tap as Pils. We would like to come again.

Excellent schnitzels in numerous variations (one better than the other, you really have to try them there several times)! Perfect quality, deliciously prepared and individually variable in quantity! Friendly and attentive service, delicious beers (house brand)! Reservations are absolutely necessary, otherwise you are often unlucky and will be charged. Overcrowding is rejected if you drop by unannounced/spontaneously! Quaint, cozy, very clean and tidy atmosphere, just like you would imagine a village restaurant from back in the day - you immediately feel at home! Numerous and, above all, free parking spaces around the corner - no longer a given these days!!! The only somewhat incomprehensible point that struck me during the visits was that many spontaneous guests, despite the large (regulars?) table in the middle of the restaurant being free for hours, because The above-mentioned overcrowding was turned away - it was the same on the 2nd evening too, only sitting with other guests at their table was then allowed as well as taking a seat at the counter, but the large table always remained unoccupied, despite a considerable rush - something strange, but overall still definitely recommended!!!

Because of the good reviews, we visited the Bräu-Stüberl - unfortunately only on the penultimate day of our vacation - and we were not disappointed. The dishes are freshly prepared. The selection of schnitzels ranges from classic to unusual. All schnitzels are also available vegetarian. Then the pork is placed through beetroot or vegetables. Very tasty (even for non-vegetarians). The schnitzels can be chosen in three sizes and with various side dishes. There should be something for everyone here. The Soliyanka is also recommended. The service is friendly. Dogs are welcome. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Wir verbrachten hier im Bräu-Stüberl einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen. Das Ambiente ist eher nostalgisch, was aber einen besonderen Charme hat angesichts der Tatsache, dass es sich um ein historisches Gasthaus handelt. Schwerpunkt der Karte sind verschiedene Schnitzel-Gerichte, die man in kleinerer und größerer Größe bekommen kann. Alle Schnitzel werden auch als vegetarische Variante angeboten. Wir haben uns als Vorspeise für eine Soljanka entschieden, die sehr gut zubereitet war. Als Hauptgang jeweils Schnitzel mit Pommes und zum Nachtisch noch einen Eisbecher. Alles war superlecker und frisch zubereitet. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und die Wartezeiten für die Gerichte absolut ok. Ganz nach dem Motto "Futtern wie bei Muttern" waren wir nach dem Besuch des Bräu-Stüberls dann auch wirklich pappsatt. ;-) Wenn man am Wochenende hier essen möchte, sollte man auf jeden Fall vorher reservieren. Das Restaurant bietet auch Essen zum Mitnehmen an, was wir an einem anderen Tag in Anspruch genommen haben. Auch die beiden Gerichte waren sehr gut und dabei sehr ansprechend angerichtet.

Nice service and great food which is too cheap. Homemade wild brawn with fried potatoes for 16.50 euros, and a sufficient portion is a price you don't have to talk about. The Bräustübl is highly recommended. 👍

Unfortunately it was very noisy there, we waited for over an hour, we ate there once on February 14th and then again on February 16th, unfortunately the prices had increased significantly within 48 hours, which was disappointing, we weren't full. For us it was annoying the last time we waited over an hour both times for the food

The schnitzels are very good and the portions are large. Price-performance ratio also fits. Unfortunately, the waiting time during our visit was very long. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is rustic with a bit of modernization. However, the food was very tasty and we will definitely come back!

Wir haben unsere Firmenweihnachtsfeier dort gehabt und es war sehr, sehr lecker! Es gibt eine sehr große Auswahl an verschiedenen Schnitzelgerichten und jedes dieser Gerichte wird optional auch vegetarisch angeboten. Jedes bestellte Essen aus unserem Team war lecker, frisch und sah auch optisch sehr gut aus. Hanolds Bräustübl ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Ein kleines Manko, wenn es eins ist: Wir haben unsere Weihnachtsfeier für 11 Personen angemeldet und als Nachtisch war der Apfelstrudel leider nur noch für 2 Personen zu haben, da er dann alle war. Wenn man eine Reservierung für so viele Gäste hat, wäre es vielleicht besser, den Vorrat nochmal aufzufüllen. Aber das ist in meinem Auge keinen Grund, einen Stern abzuziehen oder das Bräustübl nicht weiterzuempfehlen. Alles in allem war es ein hervorragender Abend 👌

Das Essen hat 5Sterne verdient da muss man mal hin

Das Gericht (wir hatten beide Schnitzel, jedoch in unterschiedlichen Variationen) war sehr gut zubereitet und ansprechend angerichtet. Die Gerichte beide wirklich lecker. Es gibt die Möglichkeit 150gr. (entspricht 2 Stück) oder 250gr. Schnitzel (entspricht 4 Stück) zu wählen. Mit den Beilagen ergeben beide Möglichkeiten eine große oder sehr große Portion. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hanolds können wir weiterempfehlen.

Sehr gutes Essen, schöne Ostdeutsche Hausmannskost…Reservierungen sind am Wochenende echt empfehlenswert! Wir kamen spontan & hatten gerade noch Glück, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und blickig…das Essen sehr lecker! Leider etwas Abzug fürs Ambiente, es wirkt etwas zusammengewürfelt und die Toiletten sind sehr nostalgisch & nicht so ganz sauber gewesen, auch drumherum & in den Ecken des Raumes…

Habe seit langem nicht mehr sooooo gut und lecker gegessen, wie an den letzten zwei Abenden in unserem Familienurlaub in Friedrichsbrunn. Insbesondere wer Schnitzel liebt kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten. Ob normal oder in XL, satt wird man hier auf jeden Fall. Wer dann doch noch Platz (gelassen) hat, sollte die Dessertkarte nicht außer Acht lassen...wirklich ein Traum... Tipp: Wer keine Sahne mag, sollte hier vielleicht mal eine kleine Ausnahme machen. Wir sagen Danke und bis zum nächsten Mal.

Sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Kellnerin, Gruß von der Küche war hervorragend. Schnitzel war zart und sehr gut gewürzt. Unsere Freunde waren auch sehr begeistert. Vom Aquarium waren wir hin und weg.😊

Es mag modernere Gasthäuser geben, keine Frage. Das Bräustübl will dies aber nicht sein. Hier wird mit Herz gearbeitet. Man kann sich an dem Gesprächston stören, muss man aber nicht. Er ist herzlich und vor allem ehrlich. Wir haben uns lange auf diesen Abend und die tollen Gerichte gefreut. Wir hatten 4x Schnitzel, allesamt aus der Pfanne. Sie waren so, wie man ein Schnitzel erwartet, Cross aber nicht hart oder trocken. Die Bratkartoffeln verdienen den Namen, frisch aus der Pfanne. Das Gemüse war lecker und frisch. Die Optik der Gerichte ließ keinerlei Wünsche offen. Die Portionsgröße war für uns okay. Das ist immer sehr subjektiv. Die Wartezeit war recht kurz. Der Service war herzlich und schnell. Es sind keine Wünsche offen geblieben. Über den Preis muss sich jeder sein Urteil bilden. Für uns war er, da alles Handarbeit war, sehr gut. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Das Essen war sehr gut,deutsche Küche wie sie sein soll,sehr empfehlenswert wenn man im Ort Thale ist und gut Hunger hat.....aber unbedingt reservieren,ist sehr gut besucht.

Was soll man schreiben wenn mal wieder alles perfekt war! Auf dem Teller Schnitzel Hertha! Dazu Bratkartoffeln und Mischgemüse! Vorher über die Grösse der Portiom informieren, damit es nicht zuviel wird😉
