Very nice guests, rustic inn with a cozy atmosphere. Price/performance ratio was okay, but for us the food was a little too low in salt and tasted too bland.

Yes, definitely. It has a beautiful beer garden. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great when we were there, so we sat inside. Very friendly and funny staff. Unfortunately, the menu is relatively small, and you have to go across the courtyard to use the restroom. It can be a problem in heavy rain 🤷🏻‍♂️

I remembered it as a great restaurant with an exciting menu. Why do we still call ourselves a wine bar even though the wine list is not very exciting? It would be so easy to offer great winemakers from Württemberg. With children you are placed upstairs so that they cause as little disruption as possible. Too bad. In addition, you are not able to adapt the spaetzle portions to the hunger of children. Apparently they've been counted out.

Always tasty, always nice and courteous service that also responds to special requests. Ambience typical of a student city. I always enjoy coming to the 'Herzog'

It was an ok experience right up to the end when we were told off for having our water bottles in a cold steely eye way (we asked at the beginning and a fiendly welcoming waiter told us it was ok). I find it increadibly dumb for a person in the hospitality business to behave in this manner. I am not sure he has enough brains to realise his mistake. The food was good, surroundings average.
