Ordered pasta with vegetables - 3rd attempt after dishes with meat. That was definitely the last time.
The taste was catastrophic - vegetables with the noodles were onions, the rest was completely missing.
Spring rolls are also not recommended.
We went there spontaneously today after a visit to the shopping center.
The architecture is strange - you're basically sitting at a lofty height on a bridge above the main distribution corridor of the shopping center (gallery building).
It has that 70s reinforced concrete charm.
The staff made a virtue out of necessity and hung up countless lanterns. That's pretty pretty.
Even as a new customer you will be welcomed, advised and served like a long-standing regular guest. The boss (I assume it was her) likes to come to the table for a nice chat and is also happy to fulfill special requests (if possible).
The food:
We had duck with peanut sauce and beef with various vegetables.
The duck was (as it should be) tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
The peanut sauce (with chunks) was surprisingly sweet, but went well (also surprisingly) with the duck.
The beef was also just right - tender but with a bite.
The vegetables served with it were fresh and crunchy.
Both portions were well sized.
The rice as a side dish too.
Even if you're a "good eater" you should get your fill here.
As “dessert” there was just a fortune cookie. In my case with the world's best message ever.
The drinks: We had a Spezi and an apple spritzer, both quite carbonated. No comparison with the stale rubbish that you get served elsewhere.
In short: Our expectations of a snack restaurant in a shopping center were clearly exceeded.
Very warm couple, great food. The best “Green Curry with Duck” that I have ever found and eaten outside of Thailand. Special requests are accepted. Unfortunately the atmosphere is more like a 70s pub, but always clean.
Really catastrophic! The store was totally dirty and chaotic. The food didn't taste fresh at all and was really disgusting. The service? Unfriendly and slow. I'll definitely never go there again!
Me and my girlfriend were there and it was great, the price is quite okay, I don't think the time limit is a good idea because you can't eat in a relaxed manner, you would have to change the concept a bit as far as the times are concerned, but otherwise my girlfriend and I were quite satisfied
Tang Wang is, without a doubt, the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Düsseldorf! From the moment you step inside, the aroma of sizzling spices and slow-cooked broths transports you straight to China. The flavors here are bold, deep, and full of character—exactly what you’d expect from true Chinese cuisine.
The spicy dishes are an absolute highlight. Whether it’s the numbing Sichuan peppercorns in their signature hotpot or the perfectly balanced heat in their stir-fried meats, every bite is an explosion of flavor. The beef is always tender, the pork melts in your mouth, and the duck is crispy yet juicy. The seasoning is spot on, delivering the perfect mix of heat, umami, and fragrance that keeps you coming back for more.
Service is quick and friendly, and the portions are generous—worth every cent. If you’re searching for real, authentic Chinese food in Düsseldorf, look no further. Tang Wang is the place
A very nice shop with a beautiful view and delicious food. The staff is very nice and quick. There was even a sweet surprise for my mother, whose birthday is today. Highly recommended :)
Were here out of necessity. Since it's very cheap, we really didn't expect much. For 2 people we paid €29 including drinks! But it was surprisingly tasty 😋 Service was friendly. The ambience isn't that cozy but it's okay. Would come again 😊
