China Star in Minden

Very tasty and rich food. Our waitress was very courteous and cleared away the empty plates quickly and unobtrusively. All in all, I can fully recommend the China Star in Hahlen.

Not as tasty as before, more of a mass production, no longer comfortable

We were there with four people for the evening buffet on a Sunday. + good, courteous service + Reservation was very easy (and actually not necessary on a Sunday evening) + Ingredients are freshly grilled on site (for the best experience: grill meat of the same thickness, do not mix fish and meat) + the soft ice cream from the machine tastes particularly delicious + overall good selection, especially with classic Chinese buffet meat/fish and children's dishes - Sushi rather tasteless - Atmosphere seems a bit kitschy and old-fashioned Overall, a solid buffet with good service. You shouldn't expect too much from the food. You eat here in an average Chinese buffet with contemporary prices (€23.90). Not comparable to, for example, XIAO. Good luck for continued success!

We ate the evening buffet here. It was very varied. There is something for everyone. It was quickly refilled when something was empty. The plates were always cleared away as soon as we were finished. We recommend this restaurant.

The buffet was huge. From meat to fish, sushi, dessert, everything was there. The staff were very nice. I can only recommend the restaurant, it's worth the money, you don't do it every day

I've been here so many times now and over the years it has diminished significantly, but today the store itself has put an end to it. It's great that you can have the meat roasted live there, but it's not so great when the "cook" spends the whole time on his cell phone, writing text messages or talking on the phone and the meat ends up on your plate charred and then that is actually still put there... Rarely experienced such ignorance. By the way, I think it's a shame that the spoons can't be rinsed with fresh water when making ice cream... there's probably a different way to do it hygienically. I saved myself the ice cream now that the rinse water was almost the consistency of ice cream For me it was here today. Thanks...but NO thanks

Very tasty food, price performance is great

Went there today for the lunch buffet, it could have been hotter, the food was only lukewarm. Otherwise everything is good. 🥰 Went there again for lunch, this time everything was nice and hot and again very tasty. 🍤🍤

After we hadn't been there for a while, we were really positively surprised again. The choice of food was large. The food itself was very good. The staff was totally friendly, helpful and very quick. It was constantly refilled at the buffet and wiped clean as soon as a guest dropped something. I received immediate and expert help for a food intolerance. Only individual guests are probably not aware of how to behave in a restaurant, but unfortunately that is becoming more and more common these days...

The food was of poor quality and a lot of the meat was too dry. The restaurant was only a third full. We found the price/performance ratio to be poor compared to our last visit 4 months ago

Was there for the first time and I have to say I liked the food there better than the thing in Porta. The staff was also super friendly. The price is also perfectly fine for a buffet. What I have to complain about is that fish and meat are sometimes used with the same tongs. For allergy sufferers like me who can't eat fish, that was a little modest. But there are ways and means to avoid this 🙃 Unfortunately there is no air conditioning so at 30°C you felt like a steamed chicken 😅 But as I said, food-wise and price-wise, it's perfectly fine Gladly again!

You could call it a food stamp, but that wouldn't do the China Star justice. Apart from the typical Chinese cliche kitsch atmosphere, you get everything you would expect from a Chinese buffet. And much more. Both the sushi and fresh produce departments are very rich and offer some exotic and unusual items. Unfortunately also frog legs, which I personally find worrying. The sweets, the soft ice cream and the various types of ice cream not only make children's eyes light up, but also round off the buffet for adults.

Today I visited the China Star Restaurant in Minden as we were visiting friends in the city. For lunch we decided to try the restaurant. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that there was enough parking space right in front of the restaurant. This saved us the hassle of searching for a parking space and we could go to the restaurant in a relaxed manner. The ambience in the China Star Restaurant is really appealing. The furnishings are tasteful and invite you to linger. I was particularly impressed by the buffet offering. There was a huge selection of dishes, all of which tasted fresh and delicious. The highlight for me was the grill buffet. The variety was impressive and there was something for everyone. The service also left nothing to be desired. Drinks were served quickly so we could fully enjoy our meal. Overall, I can only recommend the China Star Restaurant in Minden. It offers a delicious buffet, a wide selection and fast service. I would love to come back here.

Everything was ok. You can take and eat as much as you want. Here not only classic meat, also many fishes, shrimps and vegetable.

I was there a few days ago and overall it was a mixed experience. The staff was OK, but the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming. I sat next to a pane of glass that was smeared with grease fingers. Unfortunately, the restaurant has become increasingly negative in recent years. Unfortunately, the prices no longer correspond to what is offered here. Unfortunately I can't really recommend it.

Of the giant Chinese, this is by far the best Asian I know. Even though it was very busy, we never waited long for our prepared food. The staff is also really friendly and helpful!! Both thumbs up! 👍👍

Food was good, service was very friendly, but unfortunately the noodles weren't quite as warm anymore..

Yesterday I was there with my wife for the first time. We don't need to start with the service being unfriendly, the food was cold. We found it very unhygienic as tongs are used for a lot of things and we don't even need to start talking about the desserts - I get them from the supermarket and they're much cheaper at €56. I wouldn't be happier at a snack bar.

Spontaneously drove past in the evening after a Wolves game and got seats without any problems. I found the selection at the buffet to be plentiful and I really enjoyed it. Service was very attentive. When I'm in Minden again, I know where I'll go next time my stomach growls.

The food didn't taste good at all, the breaded chicken was way too hard. The spring roll too. Me and my girlfriend were very disappointed.

I had a bit of doubt about the prices at first, but it quickly became clear that the large portions and the taste justified the price. I can't say anything about the buffet, but the €25 is really only worth it if you stay longer as you'll get full for much less.

Large, rich buffet which impressed us (4 people) with its good taste. From the starter soup to the main course to the bedside table, there is basically something for everyone, and the salad buffet was also good. Despite the size of the place, it was a pleasant atmosphere, especially when it came to the background noise. Much better than a similar place from Porta. The staff was also very friendly, I can recommend it!

I took Mala Tofu off the menu and wasn't expecting this huge plate! It was very tasty, well seasoned but without making your tongue fall off. I tolerated everything and didn't get any headaches afterwards like I often do after visiting Chinese restaurants. You can definitely do it again.

The food was really delicious, the Jell-O unfortunately tasted very chemically, but the rest of the buffet was really good, including the grill. The non-alcoholic cocktails didn't work at all, they were really bad, pure chemistry, so very chemical, so I absolutely advise against them. The service was really great, super friendly, polite, prompt and quick, there was nothing to complain about.

To be honest, I only know the buffet, it is rich and varied. The Mongolian buffet is also very diverse. The service is nice and accommodating. Unfortunately it is massively crowded at the weekend. The line of people around the buffet has no beginning and no end. You have to squeeze yourself in between somehow, here it might be a clever idea to create some sort of beginning/end there. Otherwise, hats off to this logistical achievement. Price is also right.

Für mich das beste chinesische Restaurant in Minden und Umgebung. Wäre schön wenn am Sonntag die Eismaschiene betrieben werden würde.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Preisleistung stimmt auch, je nachdem wie viel und was man isst. An manchen stellen bemerkt man, dass die Qualität etwas drunter leidet, was bei dem Konzept des Ladens allerdings völlig normal ist. Mein Persönliches Highlight: Lachs und die ungepulten Garnelen. Gerne wieder.

Ich hab es jetzt ein paar Mal versucht. Es scheint sehr viel Glutamat verwendet zu werden. Ich vertrage das Essen hier sehr schlecht, bei anderen China Restaurants ist das nicht so. Alles sehe auf Fleisch ausgerichtet. Gerichte mit Tofu gibt es am Buffet gar nicht.

Eigentlich ein super Restaurant, allerdings so teuer geworden, dass es sich kaum noch lohnt.

Sehr netter und freundlicher Empfang. Der Service setzte sich über die ganze super fort. Das buffet war üppig und bot eine sehr große Auswahl auch wurde schnell aufgefüllt.
