Burger was delicious. But for 2x burgers, 1x fries and 2x drinks we paid a whole 45 euros. That's not worth it, for the tiny ones and a handful of fries.

I had dinner there yesterday with my brother because I've been interested in what the burgers are like for a long time, since we go to Giessen every now and then when we were at the Freilinger warehouse sale and wanted to have a little something to eat afterwards. Let's start with the criticisms but also with the positive things. We both had a cheeseburger Meat: Either they are frozen patties or they haven't been smashed enough. It also had hardly any taste - you could sprinkle salt and pepper on it while grilling to give the meat a certain character. There was no cheese to be found at all, and if only with a slice of the good old plastic cheese that we also know from the big two global chains. With a cheeseburger you have to see the cheese from the outside and you have to taste it too. Normal cheddar costs almost as much and works out much better - you can also ask for 2 slices at a price of €8. Salad: Iceberg lettuce simply has no place on a cheeseburger and since it is cheap to buy, you can also stretch your profit and it was also chopped to infinity, just like you know from a kebab or from the other 2 big global companies . If you want to put lettuce on a cheeseburger, all you need is a single leaf of lettuce like Lollo Rosso or Lollo Bianco. Sauce: The sauce was OK, not a high-flyer but it worked. Tomatoes are ok if you like them, but then they should be good ones and not the cheapest ones you buy. I looked for pickled cucumbers on the burger and didn't find them, that's the kind of thing I expect on a hamburger or cheeseburger Ketchup and mustard neither found nor tasted on the burger. Burger Bun: Somehow it wasn't toasted and, as you would expect from other self-made burger shops, it was spread with butter beforehand. It was just dry so you could have used mustard and ketchup. Fries were ok, nice and crispy but lacked salt. Dip: I took the sour cream dip with it, the taste was ok, but it was really too thick so you couldn't really dip the fries in it. Tasted more like cream cheese than sour cream The choice of drinks was really bad and there was no home-made iced tea. Let's get to the ambience: Interior: OK, they're trying to look rustic, which works, but the stools were still uncomfortable. Cleanliness: Tables were not cleaned even though there was nothing going on in the store. The toilet was functionally equipped but you shouldn't just leave cleaning utensils lying around openly and offer a kitchen roll as a paper towel. Well, I don't think that's really HACCP compliant. The mop just standing there in the toilet/kitchen entrance doesn't make a good impression either. The crates of drinks were stacked up in the background near the entrance to the kitchen and didn't leave a good or professional impression. The waiter was only present when the order was taken and then he disappeared into the kitchen. There were also cameras on the ceiling every few meters, so just one would certainly have been enough. And now we come to the biggest point of criticism: although there was a card reader, it was supposedly defective. You would have had the option to pay in cash but the waitress and I guess it was the owner himself said you could also pay via PayPal. I then forced it because the nearest bank would have been a few hundred meters away. But arranging the payment to a private account and then sending it through friends and family smells like tax fraud to me because the tax office cannot understand whether it is private income or company income.

Nice, friendly, attentive staff. Portion size great compared to the price. Good seating options. The rooms are designed to be friendly and welcoming. Toilets are clean. There is a charge for parking in the surrounding area. Is in the middle of the pedestrian zone.

I ordered and the food came with a hair. When I called they were of the opinion that this could happen. Even if a new burger had been delivered to me, that couldn't be the case. How can you say that it can happen that there is a hair in it. Disgusting restaurant!
