10/2025: 3 stars A BBQ burger was ordered with a 25% discount for €9.37, but my colleague (without noticing) paid the regular price of €12.50. That's not right... And when they add a well-intentioned cheesecake (good) that you didn't pay for... Questionable. The food was still delivered quickly, though, and it wasn't bad (4 stars). Normally, I would have wanted a refund for the difference, but the effort was too much for me. This shouldn't happen more often, or is it perhaps even intentional? PS: I also took a photo of the greeting from the kitchen just in case 😉

While we were on the road looking for a good burger, we found this little gem of a restaurant—not a chain, but delicious! The photos speak for themselves; I recommend the truffle smash, delicate and sensational. Fast and friendly service.

For dinner, a burger, fries, and a drink cost about 20 euros. The portion of fries is very large. One portion for every two people would have been enough. They don't have beer. Water is quite expensive. The guy who served us was very friendly and spoke English, French, and some Spanish.

Unfortunately, it's declined significantly. Whether it's delivery or pickup, takeout orders seem to receive every possible displeasure from the employees. When you pay €10-13 per burger, which is as small as a McDonald's cheeseburger, that's outrageously expensive. But when these burgers are spit out so carelessly that you have to put them back together yourself at home, that's simply a disgrace. Now, of course, you could say you had a bad delivery or it was an exception. But no, unfortunately not. I've tried it three times now via different methods. Picked up, ordered by phone, and ordered via Lieferando for delivery, and every time I get the same sad and pathetic picture of a "premium burger." It used to be good, but unfortunately, it's no longer.

The burger used to be very good, but recently, strangely, it hasn't tasted at all. The burger patty is too dry, the bread feels like it's a few days old; something's not right. Or maybe the chef has changed...

You tore me apart with bacon. I ordered a statement menu from this shop via Lieferando, and it had bacon on it. I thought, unsuspectingly, "Okay, a little bacon is fine." Then the first bite... It felt like there was a whole pack of bacon in there! I don't mean to criticize, it was awesome, and you tore me apart in terms of taste! And a big kiss to the shop for the extra cheesecake you included for free. Overall, highly recommended. Been there once, great team, ordered three times, always arrived on time or even ahead of schedule. Nothing to complain about, but please don't order so much bacon again, or your supply will run out quickly. 😂 Love you all❤️

Very fast delivery, and the food arrived piping hot. The smashburgers were delicious. Unfortunately, the cheese sauce didn't taste like much to me, and the fries weren't seasoned enough in my opinion. All in all, though, it was okay.

We ordered through Uber Eats and received the wrong order (a meat burger, and we ordered a veggie burger). We called and were fobbed off with a simple message: "It's not their fault and therefore not their problem." We were told to please call the Uber driver. We did, and he also said it wasn't his fault and not his problem. So we called Statement Beef again, and they were once again incredibly rude and had zero interest in solving the problem (not the girl on the phone—you were nice, but the manager was awful :)). I wouldn't order from them :D

Been there twice and the food was terrible each time.

For the first time, I ordered a cheat day box via Uber, which was supposed to contain two burgers and a portion of fries. I was extremely hungry and was initially convinced by the pictures. The burgers were squashed, the patties were dry, and the portion of fries was very small and limp despite the short delivery time. The milkshake was advertised in the symbolic image with a donut, mini marshmallows, and a rubber snake... None of the sweet "decoration" arrived here. So, it's 95% out of line with the symbolic image. For a total of over €40, this order was outrageous. For a burger restaurant whose specialty is burgers, that was unacceptable. If you want to eat a burger in Giessen, definitely order somewhere else. I've attached pictures...

I had the Statement Classic Burger, which was delicious and just enough for someone who likes to eat a lot. I have to say, in my opinion, it's the best burger place in Giessen in terms of price/performance ratio and taste. I definitely recommend it if you're really craving a burger.

My group and I went out of our way to try this place, specifically because I am a vegetarian and my wife has celiac (can’t eat gluten), and their menu seemed to offer nice options for us all. The counter person was pleasant and helpful, but not knowledgeable at all when we asked what options were safely gluten free. Only the cook had this information, and instead of speaking to us directly, the cashier had to run back and ask things several times, despite us being the only customers in the restaurant. We eventually learned that none of the sauces are gluten free, nor are any of the sides because they are prepared in a shared fryer with glutenous items. None of this information was made available online, only in person when asked. As for the vegetarian burger I ordered, it was a terrible disappointment. The falafel patty had no seasoning, and worst of all was soft and mushy, similar to mashed potatoes. Those of us who don’t have dietary restrictions thought the food was good enough, but it should be noted that the wraps aren’t closed, only covered in foil, so when you hold it properly everything leaks out the bottom, making a real mess (which was especially difficult because no napkins were packed with our order for six people. Not a place I would ever recommend to a vegetarian or gluten free person, and definitely not someplace I’d return to.

The Statementbeef in Giessen is a subsidiary of the Statementbeef in Ehringshausen. The one in Giessen is better and more recommendable! The burgers and sides are super delicious; there are no better burgers in Giessen. The customer service is outstanding. The waiters are all friendly and courteous; you'll gladly get a free ice cream or coffee, and you can even have a pleasant chat with the waitress. I go there often and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, the restrooms aren't as well-maintained as the rest of the place.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing in several respects. The meat on the burger was dry, and for the price, I would have expected high-quality ingredients like fresh, homemade fried onions. The cucumber and tomato were watery and flavorless, and the cheddar cheese was barely noticeable, more of a decoration than an ingredient. Additionally, there was a lack of sauce, which made the burger seem very dry. The sweet potato fries tasted of old grease—inedible. Both the sour cream and the house sauce had hardly any flavor and didn't enhance the dish. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't a coherent taste experience—I expected much more for the price. I wouldn't recommend the place. Sorry :)

Stopped there before driving home after a stay in the hospital. The food was perfectly fine and tasty. We had a punch and a burger dish. There is only one tiny negative point - it smelled like cold fryer oil in the shop. I can't say whether it was just changed or what else was wrong.

As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a radiant smile and such warmth that I immediately felt welcome and at ease. Very good gluten-free buns and overall very good food

The interior itself is nice. The place is cold. You order at the front and pick up yourself, so there's no service. The price isn't justified. Regarding the food: There were four of us there and we really expected something, as the burger looked very good. We can't even say it tasted bad, because all four burgers tasted absolutely nothing. How that's possible is a mystery to us. €19 for a burger, fries, and a drink. If it had any flavor, it could have been tolerated. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

Burgers super good! They have the best burgers in town here, in my opinion. I go here often for burgers with my best friend. He lives with celiac disease. But that's not an issue since the burgers are also available gluten-free. You can also still get cucumbers, pepperoni, etc. free of charge here. I haven't had any problems with delivery either - maybe that's because I live nearby. Nevertheless, I would order or go there again at any time because the food is simply addictive.
