It's shocking that the Beckergrube is a complete construction site. As a result, the outside area of the café appears to be squeezed in between, like a construction site. On Sunday, April 27, 25, I was a guest there at breakfast time and left my reading glasses and case at the table. I called and the waitress assured me that she had been found. It would be deposited so I could pick it up in the next few days. The following Friday I was there again, but the waitress in question wasn't there. The colleague didn't know and called the colleague in question, who couldn't remember finding glasses with so many guests. I should call again on Monday, May 5th, 2025. Then she would work. No sooner said than done. Only yesterday the lady wasn't there either. I should call on 5/5/25. I just did that and was told that the lady in question would be out for a longer period of time (the waitress was very pregnant, probably on maternity leave). Furthermore, no glasses were found. I'm pissed. How do these people deal with lost property? The glasses weren't expensive, but it's about the principle...
Going straight from the broom to the kebab without even washing your hands, you can do that in the stable, but not in the kebab shop..
Clearly the health certificate isn't available in his language, the kebab won and I don't feel like eating kebab anymore, that was my very last one in Lübeck and an apprenticeship...
Today we were in the restaurant (fish buffet):
First the positive points:
The atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and regularly asked about us. We found that to be very positive.
Unfortunately, there were a few points that didn't appeal to me:
1. There were dogs in the restaurant. Even though I love animals, they have no place in a restaurant.
For allergy sufferers or people with phobias, there is no evidence that dogs are allowed there.
Not even on your homepage.
I wouldn't have any objections outdoors, but I find it absurd in an enclosed area where animal hair could fly around and fall into my food because the buffet is nearby.
In addition, the dogs barked several times during our stay and it was clear that the owners did not have the animals under control. This was very disturbing and I started to feel uncomfortable.
2. Cod was listed on the buffet menu - Either I couldn't find it at the buffet or it wasn't even available. Correct me if I'm wrong)
If something like this were to happen, it would be nice if the service staff could pass this information on to the guests.
3. There was unused furniture that was stacked very presently in the dining area - perhaps an alternative parking space could be organized for it - but it wasn't clear.
Because of the three negative points, I found today's stay to be "okay" - I hope that my criticism will be taken into account and we can continue to visit you.
Basically we felt comfortable until the mood changed due to the barking dogs.
Best regards!
