As soon as you check in, you notice that the hotel is showing its age. There are chipped spots everywhere, and if you look in the corners, you'll find dust and dirt everywhere. The same thing happened in the room. Not modern and not comfortable. To our surprise, we had two separate beds. After checking with reception, we were told that the entire hotel only had single beds, as they had to accommodate every guest, and not every man/woman necessarily wanted to sleep in the same bed with their partner (a strange statement). However, we could push the beds together – which we did, which resulted in the countless light switches being right next to our heads, so that every movement accidentally turned on a light. It's very nice that they provide two small bottles of water in the room for free – but it's bad when one of them has already been opened and demonstrably drunk. So back to reception... The explanation: the hotel has been very busy lately, and the staff can't keep track of everything (absolutely unacceptable!!!). Luckily, I was given a new small bottle of water (I would have preferred a large one as a small compensation). The dirty ashtray from the previous guest (or whoever) was still on the balcony. The bathroom is okay, although the bathtub urgently needs to be replaced with a shower. Despite the shower screen, showering in the tub is only possible if the entire bathroom floods. The breakfast was okay, but at €17.50 per person, the price was way too high. All in all, we wouldn't want to stay here again. The hotel's restaurant, "RheinArt," is a complete disaster – more on that in the restaurant review.

Delicious pizzas and super tasty other options fresh, good and cheap food. Where can you still find all the choices pizzas for €6 in the restaurant or on the terrace (on Wednesdays) and a decently filled glass of cola for a nice price

We stayed in the attached hotel for one night and wanted to have a delicious meal here after our bike tour. But we haven't experienced anything this bad yet. The menu reads well and for the prices listed you might expect good food. For a "Viennese style" schnitzel for €19.50, we got a frozen meat schnitzel (presumably from the deep fryer) and a handful of fries. Not even a side salad or vegetables. The “yellow vegetable curry with fresh vegetables” for €15.50 was an indefinable orange mush with soggy pepper pieces from the microwave. It tasted extremely artificial with flavor enhancers - you really couldn't eat that. We also ordered a salad plate with turkey strips for €18.50. Here we were told directly that the turkey strips are currently being replaced by crispy chicken. The salad then consisted of a handful of leaf lettuce (one type), a few slices of cucumber, a few cocktail tomatoes and a few pieces of pepper. The crispy chicken was also frozen meat (probably from the microwave or deep fryer). After a few bites, we complained about the food to the waitress and you could see on her face that it was probably not the first time she had heard complaints about the food. What was really commendable was how she dealt with the criticism. Very understanding - she gave us 10% off the price and we got two Aperol spritzes on the house. You could really feel sorry for the waitress, she really tried hard, but she also had to listen to complaints from other tables. We would never eat here again and we would never recommend the restaurant to anyone.
