Rhein Art in Rees

We stayed in the attached hotel for one night and wanted to have a delicious meal here after our bike tour. But we haven't experienced anything this bad yet. The menu reads well and for the prices listed you might expect good food. For a "Viennese style" schnitzel for €19.50, we got a frozen meat schnitzel (presumably from the deep fryer) and a handful of fries. Not even a side salad or vegetables. The “yellow vegetable curry with fresh vegetables” for €15.50 was an indefinable orange mush with soggy pepper pieces from the microwave. It tasted extremely artificial with flavor enhancers - you really couldn't eat that. We also ordered a salad plate with turkey strips for €18.50. Here we were told directly that the turkey strips are currently being replaced by crispy chicken. The salad then consisted of a handful of leaf lettuce (one type), a few slices of cucumber, a few cocktail tomatoes and a few pieces of pepper. The crispy chicken was also frozen meat (probably from the microwave or deep fryer). After a few bites, we complained about the food to the waitress and you could see on her face that it was probably not the first time she had heard complaints about the food. What was really commendable was how she dealt with the criticism. Very understanding - she gave us 10% off the price and we got two Aperol spritzes on the house. You could really feel sorry for the waitress, she really tried hard, but she also had to listen to complaints from other tables. We would never eat here again and we would never recommend the restaurant to anyone.

When it comes to real estate, location, location, location counts - that's true here. But food and drinks are at least as important when visiting a restaurant. I have to say that the character of ready-made food predominates; Chicken on the salad definitely wasn't freshly fried, fries without a bite, burgers without any kick.

The view of the Rhine is great! The food, we had bruschetta, spaghetti bolognese & turkey pan was very tasty 👌 and the service(s) were extremely friendly ☺️ Overall perfect...if it weren't for the fact that, in my opinion, the prices of the main dishes are a bit too high, even in the current situation.

Service was committed, ambience was good so far, thanks to the view of the Rhine and the good weather today. But there were cobwebs everywhere. Food was very weak, lukewarm, small selection, maximum mediocre food quality and small portions. So please improve, the location has a lot of potential.

Overpriced lunch. Currywurst was great, paprika schnitzel, well.

Booked overnight stay with breakfast. Finally had breakfast at the gas station. It doesn't work at all, you come in and the tables look like a garbage dump. Nothing was on offer anymore, no rolls, nothing sausage. I can eat a slice of bread at home. Very disappointed 😞. The view of the Reih is fantastically beautiful. That's why one star 🌟

Even though it was actually already closed, we were still given the opportunity to enjoy a beer on the terrace with a great view of the Rhine. Thanks.

The view is great but the staff was unable to serve us even though we waited patiently. (I even asked if there was service outside as well) And then only the tables that arrived later were served. The staff is certainly often understaffed, the reason lies not at the bottom of the ladder...

Manageable menu, despite a full house, prices obviously adjusted upwards as the Corona incidence increases, I've never eaten such a thin schnitzel in my life, that's probably the type in the name.

Ambiance: Old tables on which there was neither decoration nor a tablecloth. Serving was then served on these tables. It couldn't be more uncomfortable. Oh stars. Service: Attentive and friendly. 1 star for that. Location: top. Magnificent view of the Rhine. 2 stars Food: Tasteless. I can't think of any reason to eat here. 0 stars. CONCLUSION: Enjoy the view with a Pilsner and then quickly eat somewhere else.

I've rarely had such bland, junky food. Somehow the eye eats too, but you won't find any decorations on the table or nicely presented food here. Instant is offered here with not a crumb of “freshness”. Not recommendable!

Wir waren vom Essen sehr enttäuscht, eigentlich würden wir nicht einmal einen Stern hier geben. Es war nicht gewürzt und dazu auch noch kalt. Schmeckte leider nach nichts und war dafür einfach überteuert. Wir würden kein zweites Mal dort essen wollen.

Een lekker restaurant met een ruim aanbod van eten en drinken. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk.

Zwar eine kleine Abendkarte, aber es schmeckt. Etwas höheres Preisniveau, aber hier muss man wohl die Location, direkt am Rhein, einbeziehen. Freundliche Bedienung 👍.

Gutes sauberes Zimmer mit Wlan, kleiner Tisch mit Platz für Laptop etc. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, netter Service. Sauna, Whirpool genutzt mit Infiniti-Blick. Gute Parkmöglichkeit

Tolle Aussicht und gehobene Küche

Tolles Ambiente mit Blick auf den Rhein, leckeres Essen mit saisonalen Gerichten zu angemessenen Preisen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder!

Bedienung nicht gut informiert (kannte die eigene Produktpalette nicht). Kuchen war nicht ùberzeugend. Aussicht sehr gut. Mobiliar schon etwas verbraucht.

Leckeres Frühstücksbüffet zum guten Preis

Schöne Lokalität am Rhein, der Service könnte jedoch verbessert werden.

Mit kleinen Gerichten, Kaffee und Kuchen waren wir meist zufrieden. Jedoch zu wenig und überfordertes Personal bei verkaufsoffenen Sonntagen im Sommer. Service in der Regel freundlich.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr leckere Speisen, hervorragendes Restaurant. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne her. Der Ausblick auf den Rhein, die gemütliche Atmosphäre und die Kunst aus der Küche tun uns gut.

Aussicht sehr gut über den Rhein. Wir müssten lange auf das Essen warten - und dann kamen leider kalte Kartoffeln zum OK Schnitzel. Die Ziegenkäse Vorspeise unspannend und sehr fettiger Billigkäse. Da die Preise aber 5 Euro pro Gericht über bessere Restaurants in z.b. Bocholt liegen kann es nur 2 Sterne geben.
