Unfortunately there was nothing on the menu for us to eat. The innkeeper was solely responsible for everything. Otherwise very friendly. We wish him employees and all the best for the future

Ate there on February 24th, 2025 I'm from out of town and I was looking for a small shop where you could have a nice meal. When we walked in to Nino's we immediately felt comfortable. Shortly afterwards we were served by a real Italian. His accent made the ambience that much better. My two female companions were very impressed by how the conversation was in a relaxed tone and how they were repeatedly referred to as “seniora” at the end. In the background you could hear the ingredients being freshly prepared. Actually, I wanted to "just eat a quick schnitzel" but that was over, which doesn't deduct from the rating because the man of the house recommended with the words "Seniora, I can make you a gyros pizza that is very good" and what can I say? She was BOMBASTIC! The gyros pizza was on the menu with the addition "Let yourself be surprised" and that was really it. The extras on this pizza were just amazing and made it the best pizza I have ever eaten.

There should be delicious 😋 😋 burgers 🍔 🍔 here!! Currently closed due to illness, and that in the high season!! But when I read all the negative reviews, I'd rather avoid a visit!! The working atmosphere here doesn't seem to be that great!!🤔🤔🤔

There is no longer any regular restaurant business here! Therefore I can't rate anything.

The taste of the food is very good and the service is good too. There were three of us there and we had a pleasant evening. Now to the ambience. Visually, it's a bit old. The decoration is more reminiscent of the North Sea (lighthouse/starfish/serhorse etc) than of Edersee/Kellerwald. These could easily be adapted to the local ones. You had the feeling that you weren't sitting in a "restaurant". The whole thing has a bit of a pub feel to it. You are also greeted by the smell of a pub when you enter the restaurant. Despite everything, you can eat well here and I would come back at any time.

We were recently guests at the Hotel Freund for two nights and would not book another holiday there. From our perspective, a completely different type of hotel (and hotel room) was advertised than what we actually encountered. The "luxury" double room was noisy and far from any luxury in every respect. The “view” paid for was limited to a view of a parking lot and a field. The room itself was clean, but the mattresses were very worn out. The sports facilities consisted of a windowless, careless fitness room - the wellness area was ok, but the saunas were really very small and manageable - there was little sense of "4 star plus" here either. The dinner was discussed in many other reviews - and I can only underline the reviews three times: we were unpleasantly surprised by the service, ambience and the quality of the food in relation to the price paid. There was NO ALTERNATIVE to the 4 course menu - our main course (one fish, one meat) was only lukewarm. The second evening we ate outside the house in a restaurant (but had to drive 20 minutes). All in all, we didn't agree with the price paid for the service we received. For us, the room prices and the overall ambience were not in good proportion to the service received.
