Very good food, upscale prices, rustic ambiance. Large terrace, quiet with a beautiful view when the water is there 😄.

After a long day of hiking on the Urwaldsteig trail, I ate a delicious burger here in the evening. The wait was worth it.

It would be extremely customer-friendly if the opening hours listed online matched the actual opening hours. It's really annoying to drive an hour (one way) and then find the doors closed.

The two of us arrived after a day's hike and were warmly welcomed as the last guests. There was a delicious warm meal, and the cappuccino at the end was truly delicious. We also received some great information about the former lake and the current situation of the people there. It was a special and heartfelt stop – thank you very much for that.

Super nice hostess and delicious food. We were here on our tent trekking tour and received a friendly welcome. Our drinking water was also refilled. We were completely satisfied.

We arrived there with a group of five. The landlady was extremely rude. Thirsty, we bought a few drinks from the neighboring kiosk (highly recommended). Then we were again shooed away by the landlady, who refused to serve us anything at 3:49 p.m. Our advice: Find another restaurant if possible! The kiosk, on the other hand, is highly recommended! 😁😁😁

We were staying overnight at the campsite and wanted something to eat after an hour-long motorcycle tour. However, the rude greeting at the entrance, "Pre-reservations required," wasn't very customer-oriented, and I've never experienced a campsite requiring a reservation for a restaurant that actually had a small, manageable menu.

I'd actually like to give more stars, as I absolutely loved the food here. JäcWeck used to be a small, friendly local shop in Gilsa. I really enjoyed going there often and enjoyed it because of the incredibly friendly service from the nice lady and the great food. When we were at the Fairhouse, it was a bit disappointing. Some delicious items, like the salad and great sauces, were no longer available. But hey, things change. But having to wait over an hour and 15 minutes for our two burgers is just unacceptable. I understand it when it's busy. But there were only six people there. We were almost ready to leave, which is a real shame. The burgers are still very tasty, but they're just way too expensive these days. I think a burger with fries for €19 is just too much. It's a real shame, but we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, the quality and service have declined significantly. Instead of hand-cut fries, there are now only fries from a bag, and that costs €4.50 a portion. Ketchup costs extra. I'm actually willing to pay €16 for a burger without a side dish if the quality and service are right. Which, unfortunately, is no longer the case here. When I ordered the burger, there were a total of five people sitting in the shop. After waiting over an hour for a burger that wasn't exactly amazing in terms of quality, I was finally served. That's really unacceptable. The shop is quite dated, which isn't a bad thing, but it could be decorated and maintained in a more tidy and sophisticated way. This was definitely my last visit.

We pre-ordered eight days in advance via Facebook, but unfortunately we were turned away because everything was already full. And they said they didn't have internet. That's not how you treat guests.

We arrived in the pouring rain and would have loved to have something to eat. Unfortunately, we were very rudely turned away, even though the restaurant was open. "We have to do the dishes first," was the explanation. We weren't even allowed to sit down; the terrace was cordoned off. This can be handled differently.

Service was unfriendly and overwhelmed. We waited 45 minutes for a fries.

Friendly staff, a very nice location, and an excellent burger. 100% recommended.

A very nice restaurant right next to the campsite with a view of Lake Edersee. Highly recommended for the mayor. It was just as delicious this year as it was two years ago. Thank you again!

A quaint restaurant with delicious burgers and a few vegetarian options. We sat comfortably on the covered terrace. The outdoor beer garden also looked inviting.

The atmosphere is somewhat simple and rustic. But our food was simply delicious. We can only recommend it.

They're supposed to have delicious 😋 😋 burgers 🍔 🍔 here!! Currently closed due to illness, and that's during peak season!! But after reading all the negative reviews, I'd rather not go!! The working atmosphere here doesn't seem to be that great!!🤔🤔🤔

Very unfriendly service, unable to serve three burgers. During peak season, this restaurant couldn't accommodate spontaneous long-term campers, even though only two of the 30 tables were occupied. The woman at the counter quickly became grumpy and rude. One star is way too many. The food is supposed to be good, but as mentioned, we couldn't try it because we were chased away. Very unfriendly! We've been wanting to go out to eat our whole vacation. But the restaurant is only open three days a week and it is peak season. So we waited and wanted to spend our last evening when the restaurant was finally open. Instead, the "service person" yelled at us in a terribly unfriendly manner, telling us that it was clear that we had to make a reservation and that we certainly wouldn't get anything to eat today! The restaurant was completely empty and it was still an eternity before the next guests arrived... Only open three days a week, no communication that reservations are mandatory for a better chip shop on the campsite and last but not least you feel unfriendly because you dare to ask if you can eat there. In addition, the chef seems to be hopelessly overwhelmed, from what you hear... All in all, in my opinion, a complete failure in his job! Thanks for nothing!

Super unfriendly service. We were there at 5 p.m. and although almost everything was still free, we were rudely turned away with the explanation that tables were reserved from 6:30 p.m. and therefore the chef couldn't handle any other orders before then. I don't quite understand how that can be in a fries and burger joint. I have never experienced so little customer focus! Especially as the only restaurant/beer garden far and wide on a campsite that is extremely well attended in high season, and there are also many day-trippers here. I can't understand what kind of concept this is supposed to be!

Unfortunately completely unfriendly. Tables are reserved from 6:30 p.m. and orders are no longer accepted after 5:00 p.m. Reason you didn't make a reservation and it wasn't a snack bar. Unfortunately the very last shop.

Went there for dinner with the family. It was very tasty and quick too. Unfortunately, the day before we were told that we had to be there at 5:30 p.m. because the next guests were coming at 6 p.m. When we were there we were told that the cook still had to go shopping and it might take a while. We then decided to stay there and waited almost 2 hours until the food finally arrived.

Food and service as well as ambience OK, happy to come back.

A culinary highlight at the campsite During our stay at the campsite we had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The manager of the restaurant is not only super friendly, but also extremely accommodating. Despite the barbecue day, he conjured up a wonderful vegan dish for my friend, who eats vegan. We were very impressed by this personal service. Particularly noteworthy is the extensive vegan and vegetarian menu, which is rather unusual for a campsite restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise to have so many meatless options to choose from, all prepared with great attention to detail. The restaurant can get very busy and you need to be patient as it is run by only two people. However, this waiting time can easily be bridged. With a cold draft beer or a refreshing cocktail in your hand and the wonderful view that the restaurant offers, you will quickly feel relaxed. After all, you are there to camp and not to escape. All in all, our visit to the restaurant was an absolute highlight of our camping holiday. The combination of excellent service, a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes and the cozy atmosphere makes this restaurant a real insider tip. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Verweilen! Sehr zu empfehlen! :) Das Essen war frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Dazu hat es unglaublich gut geschmeckt und der Service war sehr angenehm und freundlich. Dickes Plus auch dafür, dass vegetarische und vegane Gerichte einen Großteil des Angebots ausmachen. In der Gegend ist das, schätze ich, eine ziemliche Besonderheit.

Wir hatten eine indische Linsensuppe (grandios) und einen vegetarischen Salat „Queerbeet“ (megalecker), dazu ein malerischer Ausblick und sehr freundliche Besitzer - ganz klare Empfehlung!!!

Schlemmereien im Jäcweck im Fairhouse. Kreative frische Gerichte auch vegetarisch von herzliche Bedienung auch Bier und Tee auf die Seeblick Terrasse. Auf der Terrasse gilt freundliche Selbstbedienung. Manche Bewertungen die hier zu lesen sind zeugen von ein Mangel an Verstandniss leider. Die beiden die diese besondere Restaurant möglich machen, geben ihr bestes und das sollte mann zu schätzen wissen! Rummottzen ist keine Kunst und keine große Leistung aber 6 Tagen in der Woche 11 Stunden Börger und kreatives wie ein foodkünstler und freundliche Bedienung ist eine Leistung mitten im Nationalpark. Nein keine 24 Stunden Tankstelle, Erste Hilfe Notaufnahme. Es ist auch zu bedenken das die Zeiten mit Butler, Küchenmädchen und Sklaven vorbei ist. Menschen in der Gastronomie verdienen respekt. Alle möchten gerne bedient werden aber kaum Personal zu finden der fördernde Menschen bedienen möchte. Jeder Mensch hatt Recht auf persönliche Umstände das nich respektieren können, deutet vieleicht eher auf den Bewerterinnen Einstellung denken wir. Zum Glück besuchen uns sehr viele liebe freundliche dankbare verstandnissvolle happy Gäste💕 Und deshalb gibt es mitten im Nationalpark ein schöne Einkehr Möglichkeit. Öffnungszeiten vorab nachschauen ist einfach immer klug. ps. Es ist nicht fair und kann doch nicht ihr ernst sein Frau Grohmann? kurtz vor Feierabend 19.30 Uhr wo das Bierfass alle geworden war, getauscht werden musste und Sie dafür ein Wein ausgegeben! bekommen haben und eine freundliche Erklärung was der Vorgang ein Fass zu tauschen auf sich hat, persönlich beleidigend und unfair zu werden. Und 5 Tagen sind keine 14 Tagen.

Im allgemeinen sehr schön und urig gehalten in toller Lage. Das Essen war ok, aber nichts weltbewegendes.

Sehr Gemütliches Lokal, Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist richtig lecker, etwas teurer aber dafür stimmt die Qualität von den Zutaten, immer alles Frisch, und super lecker. Wer hier Essen möchte sollte vorher einen Tisch bestellen,weil man sonst evtl nichts zu Essen bekommt. Hier geht es gemütlich zu, Klasse statt Masse. Komme gerne wieder.

Knappe 30min auf 2 Bier warten, weil schon 15min bis zu Bestellaufgabe vergeht ist nervig. Danach bekommt man ein Bier welches nicht frisch gezapft wurde sondern schon knappe 10min stand aber nicht Bescheid gesagt wurde. Aufs bezahlen dann nochmals 10 Minuten gewartet

Essen ist lecker und die Preise sind fair. Auf der Terrasse herrscht Selbstbedienung, was zu längeren Wartezeiten führt. Insgesamt zu empfehlen.

Waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort mit Reservierung. Leider gab es zu wenig Personal. Das Essen war mega lecker, hätte nur für den Preis etwas mehr sein dürfen.

Top Burger! Freundliche Bedienung, faire Preise. Das sind 3 Sterne. Aber 1h35min Wartezeit für 2 Burger und eine Portion Pommes geht gar nicht. Die einzige Bedienung war mit dem Ansturm völlig überfordert, die Küche anscheinend auch. Schade, keine Ahnung warum es so war, aber mit besserer Vorbereitung und mehr Personal wäre das echt super top gewesen.

Auf dem Gelände des Campingplatz "Asel-Süd" liegendes Lokal. Von der Terrasse hat man, den richtigen Platz vorausgesetzt, einen herrlichen Blick auf den Edersee. Dem Namen entsprechend sind die Spezialität des Hauses Burger, die mit handgeschnitzten Pommes serviert werden. Ich habe noch keinen besseren Burger gegessen! Auch Veganer/Vegetarier werden, laut der kleinen, aber feinen Karte, nicht verhungern. Fazit: Ein absolutes "must try" für jeden Edersee Urlauber. Absolute Empfehlung!

Hätte nicht besser sein können! Sehr nette Bedienung, sehr (!) leckerer Burger, guter Preis und ruhiges, gemütliches Ambiente. Wenn es sich anbietet: Einplanen als Rast während der Wanderung! Zum Beispiel als Ziel auf halber Strecke bei der Ringelsbergroute vom Himmelsbreite-Wanderparkplatz aus.

Die Burger sind hier genauso lecker wie sie groß sind. Sehr zu empfehlen! Dazu hat man eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den Edersee. Freundliches Personal obendrein. Die Aseler Brücke ist bei Niedrigwasser nur einen Steinwurf entfernt. Einen Abstecher ist es allemal wert

Toller Platz um die Seele baumeln zu lassen, mit Blick auf den Edersee. Das Personal ist super freundlich, wir fühlen uns jedesmal wieder sehr wohl. Das Essen ist super lecker, von Suppen bis Burger ist alles selbst gemacht. Es ist ein wahnsinns Geschmackserlebnis. Nach meiner Meinung mit Abstand der beste Burger in unsere Region! Neben dran ist ein Spielplatz wo unsere Kinder immer viel Spaß haben und genau wie wir die Zeit vergessen. Absoluter geheim Tipp, auch wenn man ein bisschen fahren muß.
