The food was unfortunately inedible.
We even had to throw away my husband's meal because it tasted strongly of musty, cellar-like smell; we suspect it was spoiled. The food my children and I ate—the duck—was very dry and tasted almost as if it had gone bad. So we definitely won't be going back.
The best in Deggendorf. Tastes very, very good, everything is fresh. The manager is friendly. The pizza tastes very good, as does the kebab. Highly recommended; it doesn't get any better.
Dear Asia Food Team,
The following dishes were ordered:
- Tom Yam Gai Soup
- Duck Sushi
- Crispy Duck with Peanut Sauce and Rice
- Spring Rolls with Sweet and Sour Sauce
Unfortunately, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the food:
- The duck was very soft, had an unpleasant, stale taste, and was anything but crispy.
- The peanut sauce smelled and tasted strong and unappetizing, and was inedible.
- The Tom Yam Gai soup was extremely greasy, tasted fishy, and was far from being of good quality.
- The spring rolls were only slightly crispy and rather soggy overall. The sweet and sour sauce was also disappointing.
- After just a few bites (a spoonful of soup, some duck, and sushi), I experienced severe gastrointestinal problems the next day.
... When dining at a restaurant, I expect fresh and hygienically impeccable food, even when ordered for delivery. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. I request a response and appropriate compensation, such as a credit note or refund.
I am unable to attach images.
Sincerely,
David
A magnificent view of the church in the old town, the chirping of blackbirds, a friendly atmosphere... delicious pizza made to order. Crispy crust, yet light and fluffy. Fantastic. And very friendly service.
We stopped here on a hike for a bite to eat and a drink. The service was friendly, the food was good and plentiful, and the prices were very reasonable overall. We'll hike there again sometime.
Best beer garden in Roth. The Ritter beer and the Leberkäse (Bavarian meatloaf) are fantastic. Unfortunately, Theo isn't open as often anymore due to health reasons. Out of sheer goodwill, I'm giving him a full 5 stars.
Update July 20, 2021: Downgraded to 3 stars due to a poor service experience.
Update September 3, 2024: Closed at least temporarily since the end of August 2024, see article in the Rother Zeitung.
