I went to City Feinkost Döner today and, frankly, I'm shocked. The owner himself simply turned away a customer who wanted to buy a döner for his child. No discussion, no explanation – just because the child had briefly touched the counter.
And all of this happened in front of all the other customers, in an absolutely disrespectful tone.
I've never experienced such behavior in a restaurant before. Instead of treating customers kindly, they were humiliated, dismissed, and simply chased away. That's no way to treat people.
I could barely eat my döner afterward because the atmosphere in the shop was completely unpleasant. It was clear that respect and hospitality have no place there.
In short:
The owner behaves disrespectfully and unprofessionally.
You shouldn't support places like this.
I definitely won't be coming back.
I've been a regular here for 13 years, and now it's about time for a review! I come often and gladly to the very hospitable owners, Thomas and Anna. I've tried everything on the menu (pizza, pasta, salad, and dessert) and have never been disappointed. For me, they have the best pizza around! And excellent espresso/cappuccino. The atmosphere is also perfect in the evenings for wine or cocktails. Modern yet cozy. Especially the comfy bench!
Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Ordering food by number works, but due to language barriers, there's no chance of making changes or special requests. Unfortunately, the noodles come from a rice pot and aren't stir-fried in a wok, and there's hardly any vegetables. Nevertheless, they try hard, and aside from the noodles, everything tastes very good. Everyone is also very friendly; it's just that the limited German language skills often lead to mistakes or misunderstandings.
I tried the fried noodles with vegetables and egg – they were pleasantly aromatic, the vegetables were fresh and firm to the bite, and the seasoning was perfect for a quick and filling lunch.
The Toucan Irish Pub offers an authentic Irish pub experience in Weiden. The drinks selection is excellent (including Guinness and Kilkenny on tap). The staff is very friendly. The central location makes it easy to visit. The special events, such as open mic nights and pub quizzes, are also great. Ideal for a relaxed evening with good drinks and a genuine pub atmosphere.
A very, very tasty salad buffet and very tasty food! We had schnitzel with fries and salad for a great price—we've rarely eaten such a good, presentable schnitzel! The service is also very friendly and helpful! The salad buffet is super fresh and delicious—everything freshly grated or sliced! We're on vacation again now, and the food is still super fresh and the service is great!
I'm truly sorry to give such a bad review. First, the positives: The burger patty was ordered with the instruction "please cook thoroughly," and it arrived that way. The grill was probably too cold, or the meat was overcooked; it was like cardboard. When I cook homemade patties at home, they're always juicy, even when cooked through. The bun tasted like it was from the day before, as another reviewer already mentioned. The sauce was slightly spicy, which didn't suit me when it's advertised as cocktail sauce. The fries were a complete disaster. Greasy, undercooked, soggy... inedible. I absolutely cannot understand the very good reviews.
We went there with our motorcycle club and had a great time eating and drinking. The food was delicious and freshly prepared! The Jägerschnitzel with fresh wild mushrooms was especially tasty 😋. The service was incredibly friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant. We'll be back!
