We're here on vacation. We've been here twice so far. The food was always good and more than sufficient. The service was very friendly and, as expected... great beer garden, great atmosphere. This certainly won't be the last time we're here on vacation.

But the pork knuckle is amazing... I recommend it

Rustic and very good! The roast beef with onions was amazing! A beer garden where you can relax and unwind.

On August 20, 1925, we ate the following: a suckling pig roast = very dry to tough meat, plenty of fat on the edge, and served in a thick, almost unseasoned, brown sauce. Taste: as if it had been reheated several times. - Jagerpfanderl = dry and tough meat, mushrooms and spaetzle swimming in a watery broth - mushroom cream sauce = nonexistent. Conclusion: once and never again! Very friendly service, okay atmosphere.

Everything worked out perfectly. Würding is a very idyllic and quiet village. It's full of old farms. It's worth seeing. Today we were in the beer garden of one of these incredibly old inns. It was actually quite a good experience. The pork knuckle and bread dumplings are highly recommended. Be careful, you can only pay in cash here.

Quaint interior, cozy, lovely beer garden in the shade, attentive and friendly service, the onion roast from Angus rump, as well as the roast in aspic with fried potatoes, were very tasty. The other dishes at the neighboring tables also looked very well presented; highly recommended. Cyclists can also easily stop for a bite to eat, as there are ample bicycle parking spaces in the adjacent beer garden.

Today for the third and, unfortunately, last time for now. The vacation is over! The Alte Taverne is outstanding. All the staff are fantastic and know how to work! The food is, or rather, was, truly delicious... Even though there are some negative reviews here, we can't confirm that and would love to come back! Thank you so much.

We visited the old tavern last Sunday for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. A truly quaint restaurant with very friendly, professional staff. And the food was amazing! We both had the lumberjack steak with fries and were thoroughly satisfied. We especially wanted to mention the salad dressing! If we lived closer, we'd definitely come more often!

Extremely tasty food, good beer, friendly people!

A venison goulash cost over €20. It was delicious, but see for yourself. I didn't say anything because I was invited and didn't want to spoil the mood. My opinion: beyond outrageous. By the way, I'm not a vacationer or spa guest who can be ripped off; I live here. Word gets around.

Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner during the season! Rustic decor. Very busy. Reservations are recommended, as it's very busy. I opted for the Kaiserschmarrn, and it was excellent (and there was a lot of it). We'll be back!

This dish is truly inedible. Liver Berlin style!!! Charred apple slices, reheated liver, 1 slice of green liver!!! Horrible. I told the manager I wouldn't eat it. She then said we should order something we know, and at 7:15 p.m., they don't serve fresh liver. Definitely our first and last visit.

Very rustic, authentically Bavarian, cozy, and shady. We sat on the terrace. Delicious food: Kaiserschmarrn (shrimp pancakes), Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), and mushrooms with rösti (fried potatoes). The cider spritzer is also highly recommended. Definitely a stop on our next visit to Bad Füssing.

The fries were neither fresh nor crispy, but very hard, chewy, and obviously fried or reheated several times. The food was so dry and rubbery that you could almost gag on it. The fries were ready in just two minutes—that says it all. Two portions for €7.80 for such poor quality is truly disappointing.

We came here for the first time today by chance and had a very good meal. The Kaiserschmarrn is absolutely delicious and homemade! The service is very friendly. We'll definitely come back again.

We're passing through. The owner of the guesthouse recommended this old tavern to us! Excellent! The food is delicious. Whether it's cevapcici or a soup with pancakes, you can taste the quality of the food! We sat in front of the tap, and while we waited for our food, we could watch the waiters. Every glass was polished after the dishwasher cycle. It's rare to find glasses this clean—no limescale, nothing—crystal-clear glasses! Plus, all the waiters are very friendly! Great! 100% recommendation!!! We'll be passing through again! We'll definitely be back in this area! And of course, the lager beer—simply a dream!!! Magical 🤩

A rustic Bavarian restaurant with friendly staff. The food was good, but nothing special. I had a roast beef with onions and wanted vegetables as a side dish instead of fried potatoes. I had to pay a €1.50 surcharge to change the side dish, which I don't understand. The menu states that there's a surcharge for upgrading to a higher-quality side dish. The vegetables were simple frozen vegetables with Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and carrots. Definitely not a higher-quality side dish. But I was forced to order it that way, since unfortunately, there were no dishes with any carbohydrates. A real shame, and outdated.

The rustic dining room has always been worth a visit. Finally, I visited the beer garden. Highly recommended. Shady, beautiful tall trees, and very cozy. The staff is super friendly. The food, as always, was excellent.

Tavern in Bad Füssing – we'd go back anytime! We visited the tavern in Bad Füssing for the second time today and were once again absolutely satisfied. There were three of us, including our dog. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival – our four-legged friend was immediately offered a bowl of fresh water, which we found very thoughtful. The food was once again excellent: We had the Swabian plate, roast beef with onions, and a rolled roast suckling pig with salad – everything was freshly prepared, very tasty, and generously portioned. The prices are absolutely fair and reasonable for the quality you get. The staff, just like last time, were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. You simply feel at home here. We would definitely come back – a clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and a pleasant atmosphere!

Despite having a reservation, there wasn't a table available for us either inside or outside. We were told to sit somewhere else. After some back and forth, we were finally allowed to sit inside – and what can I say...: there were three free tables! Then we waited an hour and a quarter for the food. No one had noticed that we hadn't had anything yet. When I saw that people who had arrived long after us were already eating and wanted to ask, we were asked if we wanted to pay, grrr. No, we wanted to ask where our food was. We then paid for our drinks and left. It was explained to us afterwards that our food had probably been set aside by mistake. But no one had noticed! We certainly won't make the trip to Würding again. It's a shame, we used to like it here.

My wife and I each ordered a lumberjack steak. Both pieces of meat were completely dried out and inedible. After the first bite, my wife said she couldn't eat the meat. We returned the meat and each received a currywurst with fries. The surprise came when we paid. Both inedible lumberjack steaks were billed on the grounds that we had cut into them. Both chefs had also found the meat to be fine. Apart from further remarks from a server, this behavior by the boss is abysmal, especially since she was no longer in sight. The bill was presented to us by a servant. The mushroom ragout that a friend ordered looked like an unappetizing mushroom soup and was returned halfway. If a trained chef prepared these dishes, he should hand back his training certificate. This was the last time we visited this restaurant.

We were well looked after without prior notice! Friendly staff. They didn't lose their rhythm even when the light beer stopped serving. We'll see you again.

It's a place where you simply feel at home. The owner and her team are so friendly and accommodating that you immediately feel at home. The ambiance is rustic and cozy. No matter what we've eaten so far, everything has been absolutely delicious and appetizing. The price/performance ratio is excellent. The beer garden is inviting. We go there every week because everything is just perfect.

Beautiful garden, terrible food! :(( The beer garden is truly beautiful and idyllic – which is exactly why we decided to sit there. The outdoor area consists of two parts, both very atmospheric, but unfortunately, only the smaller part was open. So, not only we, but also many other guests had to wait until a table became available. Those who lacked patience left – I personally saw at least 3-4 tables leave without having served anything. And all this at lunchtime, while the larger part of the garden was closed. According to the young waitress, whose appearance and body odor were also unfortunately objectionable, "there are only two of them and they can't make it." Unfortunately, the food couldn't make up for the initial disappointment. Firstly, we had to wait a long time, and secondly, we couldn't understand why – because almost everything seemed frozen. Perhaps the microwave was also overwhelmed by the well-filled beer garden – who knows? It's truly a shame to see restaurants with such great potential fail due to a lack of staff. Quality and a lack of commitment are increasingly slipping into insignificance. With that attitude, I'm afraid I won't give this place more than two years.

Limited...I was very impressed the first time. The second time, I was seated (as a single person) at a table with two "grumpy" men. I had barely ordered the food when it was there...eat, finish the drink, leave...all in 30 minutes! That's not what coziness looks like! When I go out to eat, I want to enjoy it in peace and not feel compelled to quickly make room because the table has already been reserved again.

We were hungry and thought we would stop there while driving through the small village. Service was friendly, there was a schnapps at the end. We took the game goulash in a clear portion for us and included red cabbage Rs was just spaetzle and 4 pieces of meat with sauce. If you go in and aren't careful, CASH ONLY!!!! Luckily I still had some money in my wallet. Everything was ok so far, but we wouldn't come back twice

April / Easter 2025 It tasted wonderful. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the main courses. Only from the side salad. We had the lumberjack steak and the pepper steak. Both were very tasty. I really enjoyed the side salad with the dressing. I recommend making a table reservation. Now that it's sunny and warm you can sit outside in the beer garden. We would love to come back - THANK YOU!!!

The old tavern is really a secret type of ambience first class and first of all the picturesque beer garden is worth a visit, just come and see for yourself.

The idyllic beer garden with a magnificent magnolia tree invites you to linger and offers a pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and accommodating; However, we kept having to wait until the waiter came to the beer garden. I chose the pork knuckle with bread dumplings and white cabbage. Unfortunately, the dish didn't quite meet my expectations: the crust on the knuckle wasn't crispy, but rather flaky, and the dumpling had a too soft consistency. My wife's burger and fries, however, were significantly better.

We ate in the old tavern four times in the three weeks we were here and were very satisfied every time. Food was always very good and so was the service. Price-performance ratio is definitely right. We will definitely eat there again next year.

The Old Tavern is really old! This gives the restaurant a rustic atmosphere. The garden offers shady spots, is barrier-free accessible and dogs are also welcome. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Orders are taken quickly and food and drinks are served promptly. We only had to wait quite a long time for the bill... but it was pleasantly low! The price-performance ratio is simply great, even though everything tastes very good! The portions are large enough and every Wednesday there are knuckles with cabbage and dumplings - but vegetarian dishes are also available. The Alte Taverne is a highly recommended restaurant with Bavarian flair! Addendum from March 2025: Not much has changed! The house is still recommended, the food is delicious, the prices are acceptable. The innkeepers are new, at least in the tavern. Young, dynamic, lovable. It's nice that they're continuing to run the restaurant as usual. From time to time, whenever we are in Bad Füssing, we come back. Good luck, you two!

Beautiful old inn with a beer garden. There are daily specials and a small menu here. We ordered schnitzel with fries fried in butter, very tasty. Unfortunately the side salad was nothing, but the food was great. After 4 years we had dinner here again and ordered roast suckling pig with sauerkraut and dumplings. The food came too quickly and unfortunately wasn't hot either.

Authentic cosiness and excellent food 💫💫 I was in this quaint and cozy restaurant with my father on 4 evenings - and it was a pleasure every time! We were particularly impressed by the Allgäu fillet pan: perfectly prepared, wonderfully seasoned and always served hot. A Kaiserschmarrn for dessert and everything was heavenly. The entire team, including the warm-hearted owner, was always friendly, attentive and accommodating. You really feel welcome here! The food was very tasty. We have 5 different ones. The roast was exactly right and my pork medallions were also very juicy. Unfortunately the knuckle wasn't that big anymore. But we were in the evening, so that can happen. There was also a schnapps on the house. The ambience, well... whoever likes it.
