We've been here several times now. A lovely beer garden, delicious food, friendly staff, and clean—nothing to complain about. Despite the long journey, we're always happy to return.

At some point you can't even hear the road next door: a very friendly, down-to-earth team; they make their own schnapps. By the way: plenty of space, parking is also available on the lawn behind the barn: wheat beer €4, pulled pork burger with cole slaw and fries around €17, good and plentiful, serves schnitzel, salads, snacks and daily specials (spare ribs, suckling pig). Vegetarians will also be satisfied. The three of us and our dog arrived on a Sunday around 4:30 p.m. and were looked after; it quickly fills up. Good for cyclists.

We discovered this beer garden on our last bike ride and headed straight there today... It's truly a classic beer garden with plenty of shady spots under chestnut trees. There's also an open barn. What immediately caught our attention was the friendly and welcoming staff... The food is very extensive, with hot and cold dishes... the portions are the perfect size. We'll definitely be back... A beautifully located beer garden run with love!

The Schweizerhof is highly recommended. The food is plentiful and very good, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The beer garden is child-friendly and clean. The many old chestnut trees provide plenty of shade. When eating, you can tell that attention is paid to quality and the food is prepared with love. The Schweizerhof is my absolute favorite beer garden. Kudos to everyone, keep up the good work.

First, the positives. Nice, cozy, and clean atmosphere. Friendly service. Now, the negatives. I personally find the price-performance ratio too expensive. We had a turkey salad. The salad wasn't anything special. Lots of greens to make the plate look fuller. A little more turkey would have been good, maybe some eggs and a baguette on the side, that would have been okay. A man almost two meters tall ordered the large sausage salad, but a woman could have easily eaten that, as it was really small. We also saw the small portion, and that's really a waste of time. Our companion was really disappointed. Then. Self-service isn't the problem. But perhaps they should rethink the whole thing. Food and drinks are all ordered and served at one place. We just wanted a drink and stood in a long line and had to wait forever. That's not acceptable! Please reconsider the whole thing.

Found via neighborhood search, a lovely, cool beer garden under large chestnut trees, plus a very nicely decorated "Badwetterstodl" (stove for bad weather). We had the "Beladene Breze" (Loaded Pretzel), which had really delicious toppings, and the pretzel itself was crispy and fresh, something you don't get often, but 5 stars for that alone. Question for the owner: Which baker makes such master pretzels? King Ludwig Dunkel Radler (Dark Radler) was as refreshing as ever. All in all, a beer garden that we pinned to our maps. Definitely a repeat visit! The only environmental issue: The two spreads (Obadzter and cream cheese) came in "plastic shot glasses." Real shot glasses would have been more sustainable and harmonious on the wooden board.

A very nice beer garden located on the Danube bike path. There are plenty of shaded or covered seating areas. I passed by more or less by chance today, around noon, during a short bike ride and spontaneously stopped in. I decided on the pretzel snack I saw by chance. It was excellent, exactly what I imagine a beer garden snack to be, with everything I'd expect from a Bavarian snack: sausage, ham, cheese, radishes and other vegetables, and a delicious pretzel. One small, really minor drawback is the self-service, but I'll be back anyway. Extremely friendly staff! Keep it up!

The Schweizerhof is a beautiful beer garden, where you can sit under many old chestnut trees. The food is very varied and extremely delicious. The staff is also extremely friendly. There is a nice playground for families with small children. If the weather isn't so great, you can enjoy food and drinks in a rustic barn. If you're looking for a beer garden in the Donauwörth area, the Schweizerhof is a great choice.

Was supposed to open at 5 p.m. but there was no one to be found. There was also no designated parking space. Maybe it was the weather, it was raining.

We had our company party with over 100 people in the beer garden. The organization was smooth, the staff friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and ideal for a larger group. We can absolutely recommend this beer garden and would be happy to come back!

It was my first time there, but definitely not the last time. You can sit romantically under chestnut trees, but a simple roof is also provided for when the weather is not so nice. “The eyes eat with you!” is what the operators must have made it their mission, because it was difficult for me to choose the food because one plate was more beautifully presented than the other.

Tastes really good and great for a stopover

Great beer garden area. Everything clean. Very friendly staff. Prices very expensive. I had the snack pretzel, it was beautifully presented and absolutely fresh, but that doesn't include tasteless Babybel and jarred pickled vegetables (peppers). My husband had the snack platter which was also very nicely presented, the amount of bread was perfect and was very good. The bread and pretzels were very fresh and tasty.

Price/performance is okay, the service is very nice and helpful.

Space reserved at 5 p.m. Got the first beer at 6 p.m. and had to pick it up myself. Once and never again 🤘🏽

Great start to the season this year! The beer garden is large and cozy, shady and spacious. Toilets are clean and even as a vegetarian you have a great choice! Waldtraut salad and baked potato incredibly delicious! Prices normal!

We celebrated our birthdays in the Schweizerhof beer garden with a big party (60 people) and a band and can unreservedly recommend the Schweizerhof and the team for events beyond the beer garden. From planning to execution, everything was perfect. Thanks to our own cooking school, a sensational buffet with high-quality dishes and the best ingredients was conjured up. In addition to the classic roast and the famous Kässpatzen, there was, among other things, an unusual fish dish and a creation made from sweet potato and avocado for our vegan guests. The quality was top and the feedback was overwhelming! We celebrated in the barn and part of the beer garden, although the normal beer garden operations had no influence on our celebration and we had a great separate area. The selection of drinks was worthy of the demands and guests and we were well looked after by all the beer garden staff. Thank you dear Schweizerhof for a mega party - ALL guests were thrilled with the ambience, food and team - so it was easy for us to really let it rip and we did! Sven & Steffi

Wir waren mit den Rädern unterwegs. Essen hat uns allen gut geschmeckt. Sehr empfehlenswert. Zum Schnitzel gab's leckere Preiselbeeren. ☺️

Gut geeignet für Familien mit Kindern. Kleiner Spielplatz vorhanden. Liegt am Fahrradweg. Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung Speiseauswahl zu angemessenen Preisen. Sitzmöglichkeit draußen unter Bäumen und für schlechtes Wetter drinnen begrenzt.

Sehr sauber, gepflegt und gemütlich. Man kann in einem umgebauten Stadel oder im Freien sitzen. Durch die Selbstabholung der Speisen und Getränke entstehen keine längeren Wartezeiten. Top organisiert .

Essen sehr gut und reichlich, Schatten- und Sonnenplätze gibt es reichlich auch Parkplätze. Einziger Nachteil, er liegt direkt an einer Straße.

Der "Schweizerhof" ist ein gepflegter Biergarten, gelegen an der Donau. Ein perfekter Stop für Fahrradtouren oder andere Ausflüge. Viel Platz...und für schlechteres Wetter auch Platz im Stadl. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich, die Preise angemessen. Die übersichtliche Karte bietet für jeden etwas und die Qualität ist ausgezeichnet. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder hin.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr guter Service und auch an den Moskitoschutz wird gedacht! Hatte eine richtig gute Brotzeit, genau richtige bei diesem Wetter! Selbst die Chefin schaut noch nach dem rechten bei ihren Besuchern! Immer wieder ein Besuch wert!

Leider abends sehr viel Mücken und keine Kerze oder Licht dagegen. Essen war reichlich und gut. Garten sehr schön gestaltet.

Sehr schön, sehr gut, aber leider die Portionen sehr unterschiedlich, so ist der Schweizerwurstsalat groß mal wirklich viel und ein paar Tage später mal wirklich klein für groß. Kommt drauf an wer in der Küche arbeitet.
