We ordered food there today. Everything was great, the service was very friendly and polite. The food tasted delicious; the meat was tasty and the salad was all fresh.
I would definitely come back here again.
I'm less concerned about the food. That's OK. Personally, I just find it a bit lacking in flavor – I've had this happen with two dishes now, where the sauce combined with the rice and meat was simply too "weak," and it tasted rather neutral or like nothing.
What's impossible, however, is the payment process 🙄
We choose what we want online on the website (option 1 for a hint), order by phone (option 2 for a hint), and pick it up on the spot (option 3 would be a hint at the door), saying that we can/should only pay in cash?!
No prior notice – we're picking up and want to pay by card. The answer?
"Cash" 🤨 When we then said they had to wait and we'd first withdraw cash at the nearest bank, they just said "come with me" and led us to a working card reader, and we were able to pay by card after all! Huh? Welcome to 2025. It's not that we won't pay in cash, but what kind of payment is that?
Unfortunately, I can't rate the food. We wanted to stop for a bite after a hike and it was about 15 minutes before opening. The door was open and we were literally thrown out. The woman was horrified by our entry and told us to leave immediately and not to come back before five. I have never experienced anything so unfriendly. A prime example of how it shouldn't be.
A decent Italian restaurant. Nothing wow factor, some pasta dishes were good, some not so good. The carbonara was perfectly fresh, and the egg was cooked correctly. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it wasn't good.
We celebrated our wedding here at the beginning of October, and everything was absolutely perfect for us and our guests, as always. We've been going here for many years, and the food is always delicious. The atmosphere is lovely, and the owners and staff are warm and friendly. The Bärenstubn is always an excellent choice, whether for celebrations, with children, or while hiking.
Today, my husband and I had a delicious meal here (Pho Tofu and Tofu Bowl). We were in the van just before lunchtime, and after we paid, the manager still had some time for a nice chat.
The food was good and the service friendly. The pizza caprese and penne arrabbiata were tasty, although they were rather average compared to other Italian restaurants. Overall, though, it was a pleasant visit in a pleasant atmosphere.
The older woman makes it difficult to enjoy the food. I actually wanted to eat inside with my boyfriend. Because the waitress created such a lousy atmosphere, we just took our food to go. I also find it unacceptable that they seat you right next to other guests, even though there are free seats. The interior isn't particularly inviting either. The food is just good.
We spontaneously decided to eat at the restaurant. We got a table right away and received a warm welcome.
We had the mixed grill, which was very generously portioned and tasted delicious. The value for money was also excellent.
