A nice little basement pub!
Due to a lack of other bars open (during the week), I somehow ended up here... 😅.
It's a great mix of Irish pub and student bar. There's a lot to see (in terms of decor), and the beer and whiskey selection is really good!
Beer prices for a 0.5 liter (0.50-6€) are just about okay.
The service was good.
I used to be very happy with this place, but this time I was very disappointed.
My wife, who doesn't speak German well, ordered a kebab without chili. When I got home, I realized the bread only contained meat – no sauce, no vegetables, nothing.
I went back to clarify. The employee claimed my wife had wanted it that way, even though she only asked for it to be less spicy.
Despite my explanation, he didn't change anything, didn't replace anything, and didn't refund my money.
Unfortunately, very unfriendly and disappointing. That's not how you treat customers. I won't recommend it again.
We ate there on a rainy Saturday evening, unfortunately inside the cellar vault, as the restaurant actually has a very nice outdoor area.
The service was very friendly, and we immediately felt welcome.
We had a salad for our first course—a proper one at that, with lots of green lettuce, tomatoes, berries, oranges, and a good dressing.
Afterward, we had delicious pasta with vegetables and scampi.
Information for all those with celiac disease: Highly recommended, because they know what gluten is. They offer gluten-free pasta and pizza. You'd probably be better off bringing your own bread.
A typically authentic Italian pizzeria with very friendly staff and reasonable prices. I was just passing through, but I was very happy to have eaten here.
We went for lunch on Sunday, and even though we arrived a little earlier than opening time, we were seated at a table, we were greeted kindly, our drinks were served and our menus were brought to us. The food came in a short time and was very good. There is seating both inside and on the terrace, it is a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
We spontaneously picked something up on Sunday afternoon. They said 20 minutes on the phone.
I arrived 10 minutes early and was greeted very warmly. They immediately asked the kitchen how long it would take (10 minutes).
I was offered a free drink to cover the wait and a seat at the bar. The espresso I chose was very good.
The food (pasta with salmon, lasagna, vegetarian pizza, gluten-free salami pizza, and a mixed salad) was very tasty.
When I asked, I was told that gluten-free pasta is also available and that there will even be an all-you-can-eat gluten-free event taking place soon.
I really liked the ambiance inside.
We will definitely come back and eat there again.
The experiance is amazing. It is an art. First the set up then the smell of the food then the service and then the goodbye moment. For a lonely person like me, I felt like angles are taking care of me.
When we ordered fries here, they were only in the frying oil for 2 seconds. I noticed it in passing but didn't think anything of it because a snack bar should know how to make fries. That's what the fries tasted like afterwards and of course we threw them away because we didn't want to eat raw potatoes. The kebab was okay but nothing earth-shattering. Will not enter the shed again.
