Wow, there are all available stars here. At first we weren't sure whether we would be welcome here with our 14-month-old dwarf, but a high chair at the entrance and a super friendly service, who also showed us a changing table because of our acute needs, quickly cleared up our doubts. Dishes are labeled vegan for those looking for them and the Arabiata were truly sensational. Exactly the pizzas of my two companions. The view completes the whole thing, and with a few boat movements using the crane, the little one was also well entertained. So it's really easy to go here with children and babies. But you can also tell that there is a more upscale clientele here.

The food itself is good, but for me it's about the principle. We were two girls in carnival costumes who wanted to have a lunch menu (which we said when we ordered). When one of us was in the toilet we were asked if we wanted the food to be “normal” and we were like “yes please just normal”. That was the only question, there was no explanation of what normal meant (we thought it was about spicy or not spicy). Then the food came and it said “two normal meals for €24 because we ordered normal and not a lunch menu”. In retrospect, we could of course have insisted that we had ordered two lunch menus for a total of €16, but we didn't dare to make a fuss about it and preferred to pay €12 per portion.

Cloth napkins were swapped for paper napkins! We don't really care whether cloth or paper napkins are used, but it makes a positive impression when you enter a restaurant and see that the table is already beautifully set. We were all the more surprised when we were assigned a table without a reservation and the waiter took away the cloth napkins and replaced them with paper napkins. The only mistake we made was not asking immediately why this was happening, but only after paying. The answer: "Only for guests with reservations - the boss wants it that way" Looking back, we probably should have left the restaurant because it actually made us feel like "second class" guests. The restaurant was not fully booked due to reservations, and the cloth napkins remained on the table for other guests who also came without reservations but were apparently known. The service was otherwise mostly okay, but quite impersonal. The food - an antipasti platter as a starter and tagliata di manzo as a main course - was good overall, although the meat was unfortunately a bit overcooked. We also noticed that two guests “who looked different” were turned away, even though there was apparently still space at the back of the restaurant. Another awkward moment was when our dishes were cleared away even though my wife still had a piece of bread in her hand and was eating. In addition, the waiter wanted to take my credit card with me when paying so I could use it to go to the reader. Only when asked did he bring the device to the table, which should actually be standard. We probably wouldn't have noticed all of this so much without the first negative impression. Unfortunately, our conclusion is poor. It's often the little things that shape the overall picture and influence the feeling. We visit the region several times a year, but in the future we will probably prefer to go somewhere where our money is valued just as much as that of the local regulars.

Wir gehen seit gut 20 Jahren immer mal wieder auf die Almhütte Berggasthaus am Riederstein. Die Kinder haben sie damals „Heidialm“ getauft. Vor dem Gasthaus eine wunderschöne Almwiese, wie aus der Heilen Welt. Beim Eintreten in den gemütlichen Gastraum begrüßt Dich die Wirtsfamilie sehr herzlich und mit guter Laune.

The terrace is great but the staff is totally overwhelmed... but arrogant and dismissive...

Great view while eating, great service, food very tasty

We pay €200 per night plus tourist tax and as short people (1.60 cm) we can hardly move in the bathroom. Showering is almost like a straitjacket at this price. The bicycle garage was already full and had no light. All in all overpriced. Now let's let breakfast surprise us.
