Das Frühstücksbuffet ist für Paare als auch Familie wärmstens zu empfehlen. Auch das abendliche Menü ist sehr lecker und mal etwas besonderes, da preislich eher höher anzusetzen. Klasse Service, sehr zuvorkommend und kinderfreundlich.

Elton war sehr zuvorkommend, das Essen war auch köstlich. Die Sonne war auch sehr schön.

Ich hatte ein köstliches Abendessen. Das Rinderfilet war unglaublich zart und lecker! Die hausgemachten Taglioni waren mild und harmonierten hervorragend mit dem Trüffel, der ebenfalls köstlich war. Die Consommé-Suppe würde ich nicht empfehlen, da sie sehr reichhaltig ist und einen leichten Fleischgeschmack hat, aber die Pilze darin waren köstlich und ich habe sie sehr genossen. Wir bestellten noch zwei Gläser Wein dazu, sodass die Rechnung insgesamt 115 € betrug. Es ist etwas teuer, und eine der Angestellten wirkte etwas abweisend, aber im Laufe der Zeit erkundigten sie sich immer wieder nach meinem Wohlbefinden, also dachte ich, es läge einfach daran. Ach ja, und das Essen ließ ziemlich lange auf sich warten! Wir hatten aber genügend Zeit, sodass wir in Ruhe essen und dann gehen konnten. Ich hatte einen tollen Abend :)

Letzte Woche unternahm unsere Familie einen Kurztrip nach Tegernsee und wir entschieden uns, in Ihrem Restaurant mit seinem atemberaubenden Seeblick zu Mittag zu essen. Was für ein wundervoller Ort! Das Essen war absolut köstlich, aber was unseren Besuch wirklich unvergesslich machte, war die Herzlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit Ihrer Mitarbeiter. Unser Kellner, Herr Gorica, war überaus zuvorkommend – er überraschte meine Schwester sogar an ihrem Geburtstag mit einem kleinen Kuchen und machte ihren Tag damit zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Solch ein außergewöhnlicher Service ist selten. Vielen Dank für dieses unvergessliche Erlebnis!

Leider ein sehr enttäuschender Abend im Restaurant Hotel Senger (Das Tegernsee). Mein Partner hatte gestern für meinen Geburtstag einen Tisch reserviert – ausdrücklich am Fenster mit Seeblick, für einen besonderen Anlass. Laut Absprache sollte der Tisch entsprechend ein bisschen hergerichtet sein, zudem war sogar ein kleines Geburtstagsständchen angekündigt. Umso größer war die Enttäuschung, als wir zunächst längere Zeit am Eingang warten mussten und uns anschließend irgendwo hinsetzen sollten, wo gerade Platz war. Es gab weder eine Entschuldigung dafür, dass die Reservierung nicht eingehalten wurde, noch eine Gratulation oder auch nur ein kurzes „Alles Gute zum Geburtstag“. Ich war in dem Moment ehrlich gesagt so sprachlos, dass ich es nicht direkt angesprochen habe – zum einen aus Überraschung, zum anderen, weil ich mir an meinem Geburtstag keine schlechte Stimmung machen lassen wollte. Auch das Essen konnte den Abend nicht retten: Das Steak war so stark von einer Faser durchzogen, dass etwa ein Drittel nicht essbar war. Die Reaktion des Kellners, dies sei „normal bei einem Flank Steak“, empfand ich als unprofessionell. Selbst wenn das so wäre (was ich klar bezweifle), ist das kein angemessener Umgang mit einer berechtigten Beschwerde und kein akzeptables Beschwerdemanagement in dieser Preisklasse. Insgesamt entsprach der Abend in keiner Weise den Erwartungen, die man an ein Restaurant dieses Anspruchs hat. Ich war so enttäuscht, dass ich persönlich auch nicht in Erwägung ziehen würde, im Hotel zu übernachten. Wirklich schade – vor allem, weil es ein besonderer Anlass war.

I was there last Saturday evening. I'd been meaning to make a reservation for a while. It was a fantastic evening, and for several reasons: the food was divine. I had the cream soup with sautéed broccoli as a starter, the cured Arctic char as an intermediate course, the 24-hour slow-cooked veal shoulder as a main course, and the panna cotta for dessert. The soup was a great prelude to what was to come. The entire dinner was absolutely delicious; anyone with a discerning palate will be in heaven. I think it's well worth paying a bit more. You have to remember that the food there is truly outstanding. Add to that the beautiful ambiance—in my opinion, the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to. The attentive and incredibly friendly service completed the experience. I was happy to leave a generous tip. Thank you for this wonderful evening; I will definitely be back.

We can't quite understand some of the very negative reviews. The service is very friendly and attentive. The decor is modern and comfortable. Our food was delicious. The price-performance ratio is reasonable.

We stayed one night at the hotel "Das Tegernsee" – the location is beautiful, the room not very modern but very clean, the service is great, and the breakfast is excellent. Based on this positive experience, we later returned with our parents to the hotel restaurant "Senger" for coffee and cake. Unfortunately, the food and service were not at all convincing this time. The coffee was bitter, and the cakes we chose tasted very dry, slightly sour, and stale – like something that had been sitting for a while and was barely edible. When we asked, no one in the kitchen could give us precise information about the ingredients, which is particularly problematic for those of us with allergies. The fact that the cakes are apparently not homemade wouldn't be a problem in itself. However, in a hotel of this category, freshness and quality should be a given. The staff showed little understanding; only after we pointed out the spoiled cream was part of the order canceled. All in all, it was a real shame – after such a positive stay, we had hoped for much more. Therefore, we will unfortunately not be visiting this restaurant again in the future.

We are hotel guests and pay €450 per night. This afternoon, after waiting 10 minutes alongside other guests, we receive the blunt statement from a service employee that only hotel guests are being served. After clarifying that we are hotel guests, we are dismissed with the rebuke that no more service is being provided in this area because there is only one server left. We leave. This evening, we wait 15 minutes and, along with other waiting guests, have to watch as an elderly person sorts cutlery with her bare, clumsy hands. We've lost our appetite. We're leaving and will certainly never return here again.

Very friendly, attentive service, and the food was wonderful from starter to dessert! Thank you for the lovely evening. Great atmosphere.

My fiancé organized our engagement through the Tegernsee Hotel and the Schlossrestaurant Senger. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect evening. The staff were on the ball from the very first moment and performed flawlessly. The food was truly delicious, and they made a great effort to look after us. We would like to sincerely thank the entire team for the organization and their friendly and caring treatment of us.

Really quite good. Fresh oysters, the flank steak had a really great BBQ flavor, only the cheesecake cream was too fluffy for me, but that's my personal taste. (: Super friendly server - I was happy to tip generously. It's not an adults-only hotel, so there are also small children on site. Think about that beforehand before you complain.. ;)

To the hotel & restaurant managers. We are writing to complain about the poor waitress service we received at Restaurant Senger on Sunday 13th July (1 pm). We were very much looking forward to our lunch as the restaurant & hotel were referred to us by friends, but unfortunately found our Waitress, Gaby, to be rude, unfriendly and at times a bit abrupt. Certainly not providing the high level of service we expect to receive at a 5 star hotel & restaurant. Frankly, her service spoilt our lunch. We had made a lunch booking made for 1pm on Sunday 13th July, which at first seemed a surprise to the waitress. She was also rude & unfriendly to my wife. She also didn’t provide an itemised bill, just the total amount & was abrupt when I asked for it. I still don’t know if the amount I paid was correct or whether there were wrong items. We are seasoned world travellers from Australia & this was not an international standard experience. We were considering using your hotel for a conference but will not do that now & will not be returning to the restaurant or hotel. What a fantastic experience! Everything is right here: the refined food, the stylish but warm atmosphere, the view of the lake – and not to forget the excellent service. The dishes are creative and perfectly balanced, with a clear focus on quality and seasonal ingredients. Each course is a taste experience in itself. What makes this place really special is the combination of top gastronomy with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. An absolute must if you are in Tegernsee. We enjoyed it – and will definitely come back.

The view is nice but the price/performance ratio is really bad and to then have to wait over an hour is simply not acceptable. I have just eaten the dessert and it is really bad. The cakes they sell are so watery that you would think they are Edeka frozen cakes. I will never go here again and especially not for the money. The small beer garden here is much better. The portions and prices are like those of a 1-2 star restaurant but the taste is like Indian street food.

One of the most wonderful restaurants in Germany. I recommend visiting it. The view is very wonderful.

Totally nice restaurant with a great terrace and view of the lake. Price performance is upscale but in our opinion ok for the location. We had coffee, cake and water and the price for 4 people was around €50. But the service was impossible. There were at least 5 waiters and the inside area was unoccupied. However, the service was completely overwhelmed. Toilets had no toilet paper, waiters were totally stressed and with every question you had the feeling you had to apologize for wanting to order. Drinks had to be ordered twice. There was no sugar for coffee, we had to get it ourselves. There was no ice cream menu and service didn't seem to be happy to take orders either. When the iced coffee arrived, one of two scoops had already melted. Of course it was Sunday/Mother's Day and the weather was very nice, but it's a shame when you get better service at a run-of-the-mill café than here.

Lovely hotel. Bad restaurant. Not sure why the management would not attempt to fix it? Food was too salty. Maitre D could not care less. Room incredibly noisy. Expensive for what it is. Insist on booking in the verandah as the back room is rather dark and no views.

My 1st 1 star review. I never thought I’d leave a 1 star review for anything, but this is a must. The food was incredibly salty. The broth soups and the chicken curry were not enjoyable because of the amount of salt. I’d even say uneditable. The oysters were fresh, the waiter didn’t explain the condiments. The pasta was ok. The truffle was bland. The room was very noisy. My Mother-in-law wears hearing aides and found it difficult to hear what we were talking about because of the noise. We asked to move to the front room where it was a bit more quiet. Our waiter asked the Maître d’ who said nothing was available, but moved 2 other tables. I gave this feed back to the Maître d’ as we were leaving. She was more concerned about the payment of the bill. After I told her we had already payed she walked off without further comment. It was the worst dining experience I’ve had in many years. I don’t recommend eating here. We had great expectations and were very disappointed. Food was below average, but I gave it 2 stars because of the chocolate at the end of the meal, and amazing bread. The service wasn’t good. The ambience was bad. I suggest some noise cancelling panels for the ceiling to reduce the noise. I notice not there are a lot of 1 star reviews so maybe they just don’t care anymore. The restaurant was full.

Bougie setting, overpriced basics, and overwhelmed service. We visited this “top-tier” restaurant at Tegernsee last week, and while the location and views are absolutely stunning, the experience itself didn’t live up to the hype. This place is clearly designed for a high-end crowd, and that’s fine. I have no problem paying luxury prices—as long as the service and food match. But here? That just wasn’t the case. The staff were polite, but clearly overwhelmed and spread thin. For a restaurant that presents itself as fine dining, the service felt rushed and inattentive. As for the food: my Blaukraut tasted off—I couldn’t even eat it, and my husband’s $75 steak was… fine. It had seasoning, it was cooked well, but that’s all I can really say. For that price, it should’ve blown us away—and it didn’t. We went to several other restaurants in Tegernsee during our stay, and all of them were better, both in food and overall experience. And yet this is supposed to be the “best” one? Beautiful setting, luxury vibes, and bougie crowd—but when it comes to actual value and quality? They’re not delivering.

Unfortunately, the food was not only inedible in terms of taste, but was partly served cold and the beans in one main course were burnt black... The guests next door also had their food returned. The service always tried hard, but unfortunately they also forgot things despite repeated requests. In summary: Nice location with really bad food at very expensive prices. Unfortunately a disappointment and absolutely NOT recommended!!!

The food is disproportionate to the price… unfortunately! When I asked which of 2 wines I would recommend, I was simply told the more expensive one, without any deeper knowledge. Starters (Baba Ganoush & Carpaccio Monkfish) were delicious but a bit overpriced. The ribeye was very good - unfortunately the side dishes were exactly the opposite: truffle fries were subpar (flabby, unsalted) and the grilled romaine tasted really boring with an uninspired mayo cream on it. Ambience beautiful! Service was very attentive and courteous. Conclusion: great wellness hotel, but please eat somewhere else. The €200 (for 2 people) is really not worth it. Very sad but true.

We can only agree with the critical reviews here. We have been frequent guests at the Hotel “das Tegernsee” in recent years and have always reserved a table in the Senger Restaurant for dinner. The first few times everything was fantastic. Great location, great view, good service and very tasty food, which was cleverly and creatively prepared. On our last visit we were more than disappointed. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here. Starter, main course, side dishes and salad without any sophistication and no taste highlight, as you would expect in this price range and as we knew it from the past. You feel a bit ripped off. It's a real shame because the hotel is highly recommended. We can only advise you to save your money and invest in a delicious restaurant in Tegernsee.

We agree – the food and the price are completely out of proportion. Spontaneous changes aren't possible, the food isn't creative or sophisticated. If the ambiance weren't so beautiful, there would probably be hardly any guests (except for the steak, which is at least very tasty!)

We stayed at the adjacent hotel for a wellness weekend. Unfortunately, the restaurant can't even begin to keep up and we have to agree with the critical comments. It's neither price-performance nor the performance itself. Spices were in short supply. The starter fridge-cold. The food just wasn't tasty. That would be unacceptable even for half the price. For us that was the first and last time. Save yourself the money, go down to the lake and have a delicious meal in Tegernsee.

We went here daily for breakfast and 5 course dinner during our stay at the hotel. The prices are very high, yes, but it is also a high-end restaurant. Anyone who comes here knows what to expect and in return they get excellent quality and well-trained staff. The service was excellent, attentive, quick, nice. The food was always super tasty and enough to fill you up. Individual wishes, allergies and intolerances were always taken into account. Even the greeting from the kitchen came with gluten-free bread for me - great! Really great! It's rarely that uncomplicated. Vegetarians/vegans can also get everything their hearts desire here. Great!

We were here for dinner with four adults and two children. The service was incredibly attentive. Adults and children were rated at the highest level. The food selection and quality were also excellent. An all around successful evening.

A few days ago we got married in a small group and had dinner together there. Our table was decorated so nicely by the restaurant and the food and service were great. We were very happy about our decision to go there. Many thanks to the entire team!

The view is amazing, the food 8s good but the service is the worst. We didn't get any drinks for more than an hour. The coffee we ordered with our desserts never arrived and we waited another hour for our bill.

War hier im Hotel und habe das Restaurant 2 mal besucht. Beim ersten Besuch wollte ich einen Bellini haben. Bedeutet für mich, weißer Weinbergpfirsich püriert und mit Prosecco aufgegossen. Die Bedienung bejahte meine Frage nach Bellini, brachte mir dann aber Pfirsichsaft und der wurde mit Champagner aufgegossen. Stolze 25,50€ für das Glas. Beim 2. Besuch wollte ich gern Eis essen. Tegernsee Traum und Eisschokolade. 9,50€ der Traum und 8,50€ die Eisschokolade. Das ganze bei sehr überschaubaren Mengen im Glas. Wenn ich einen solchen Anspruch als Restaurant habe und solch Preise aufrufe, dann platzt mir der Kragen wenn dabei mit Sprühsahne gearbeitet wird. Enttäuschend, mehr fällt mir dazu nicht ein. Auf ein weiteren Besuch zum Abendessen habe ich dann vorsorglich verzichtet. Sorry, aber Preis und Leistung gehen hier zu weit auseinander. Keine ehrliche Empfehlung von mir.

Wir waren hier beim 4/5 Gänge Menü nicht überzeugt. Die erste Kritik ist dass wir mit einem Gutschein für das 4 Gang Menü gekommen sind, welcher über den selben Preis des aktuellen 5 Gang Menüs ausgestellt ist. Vor Ort erhielten wir jedoch eine extra 4 Gang Karte und die Option gegen Aufpreis auf das 5 Gang Menü zu upgraden. Sehr unklar und preislich nicht logisch. Das essen war geschmacklich ehr zurückhaltend. Optisch schön angerichtet aber für 90€ dem nicht gerecht. Der Aperitif war mit 11,50€ zu teuer für was man bekommt. Papierstrohhalm geht garnicht! Da ist man geschmacklich beim Haubentaucher in Rottach für 70€ WESENTLICH besser aufgehoben. Man zahlt für den Hotel Namen und die Aussicht auf den See (welche abends natürlich nicht relevant ist). Service war mittelmäßig. 1/2 etwas künstlich aber bemüht. 2/2 sehr lustlos.

Guter Service, Preise der Lage entsprechend. Gezahlt wird also eher für die Aussicht als das Essen. Leider wurden auf der Karte falsche Preise ausgewiesen und bei Bestellung nicht darauf hingewiesen. Auf die Diskrepanz hingewiesen wurde nur auf den abweichenden Preis im Kassensystem hingewiesen, aber nicht mal eine Erstattung angeboten. Bei einem Preis von 8.50 für 0.75l Wasser hätte man jedoch zweimal bei der Bestellung überlegt. Auch wurde keine Rechnung ausgestellt, die die Aussage bestätigen würde. Der Betrag war keine Diskussion wert, hinterlässt jedoch einen faden Beigeschmack. Alles in allem ein eher fragwürdiges Erlebnis.

Wir waren mittags im Restaurant. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und die Aussicht toll, aber das Essen wirklich maximal durchschnittlich. Zumindest mittags. Die Ravioli waren lauwarm und haben geschmeckt wie aus der Packung (was sie wahrscheinlich auch waren), genau wie die pommes. Für den Preis würde man auf jeden Fall mehr erwarten.

Zweimal diese Woche das Abendmenü gegessen und sehr zufrieden hinsichtlich Geschmack., Qualität und Preis. Übrigens, das Kalbsfilet war perfekt 😍 Vielen lieben Dank 🙌 PS letztes Jahr im Sommer war die Qualität schlechter, heuer wieder grosse Klasse...

Nun, ich kann nur Positives berichten. Bei herrlichem Wetter konnten wir den traumhaften Blick auf den Tegernsee von der Restaurantterasse aus genießen. Das Essen war eine Gaumenfreue vom Feinsten und die Bedienung, obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht was, gefühlt nur für uns da. Ein unvergesslicher Restaurantbesuch.
