We went to the new Baranabas, the food is absolutely delicious. The service was also very good, the staff were very friendly. The price-performance ratio is also good. You're doing a great job, please keep it up. Highly recommended.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Delicious food (starter, main course, and dessert) at reasonable prices—something we know is becoming increasingly rare. This certainly won't be our last visit, even though we don't live in the region.
We often order sushi here, and lately we've also ordered other dishes.
We're always very satisfied, especially with the delivery driver, who is always very polite and we always look forward to his arrival 👍 One item was missing from today's order, but that wasn't a problem and it was delivered immediately.
This is intended as a review that contains constructive feedback and is in no way meant to disparage the restaurant!
Six of us were there one weekday evening and reserved a table. There were about 10 of us in the room.
First of all, the atmosphere: What has been transformed from the old stable is truly beautiful! The decor and furnishings lend a special country-style charm! Some elements of the former stable have also been retained (e.g., the drinking troughs) – I personally find that very nice!
We were served by a relatively young girl. She was a bit overwhelmed, returning to the table 4-5 times to ask us what we had ordered because she couldn't remember. That's not meant as a deduction either – young people deserve to be given a chance! :-)
We actually went to the place hoping to get Bavarian tapas. That's what was suggested in an interview with the owners. However, we missed these dishes. The menu offered three types of tapas: Italian, Spanish—I can't remember the third. We ordered the above and tarte flambée. We also wanted to order the potato dip—but it was out of stock. Alternatively, we wanted to order toast. Apparently, that's only available in the morning. This drastically reduced the selection. The display case in the dining room contains even smaller tapas—but nothing truly Bavarian! Why is this advertised?
The quality of the food was okay. The tarte flambée was quite dry and heavily peppered. The tapas (for about 13 euros) unfortunately don't offer value for money. There were three small slices of baguette, some kind of spread, and antipasti from a jar. I expect more for the money.
The young waitress was also overwhelmed when paying and mixed up the bills.
Afterward, a nice lady took our money. She noted our criticism and acted professionally: We got a free tarte flambée, as well as a shot of schnapps. We found that very accommodating!
All in all, I can imagine that larger events, such as birthdays or parties, could be quite nice if the kitchen has enough time to prepare. However, the fact that potatoes are no longer in stock, certain items are only available in the morning, and the price is rather high makes it difficult.
We hope the review will be received positively. We don't know if we'll come again. So far, it hasn't convinced us.
We ordered pasta from La Verda today, and afterwards we discovered that this company, like The Pizza, belongs to Pizza Express and is essentially the same restaurant with different names.
We waited over two hours for the food and drinks. The driver kept telling me they were busy. When I received the food, I noticed sauce on the outside of the aluminum trays. We ordered a Sprite and a Fanta, but received a Coke and a refund for the missing drinks. We also ordered two different kinds of pizza rolls, which were simply made of pizza dough. The pizza rolls arrived burnt and were therefore inedible. The tomato and mozzarella salad we ordered consisted more of lettuce leaves than tomato and mozzarella. I had six tomato slices in my salad, which were extremely thin, and two of them still had the stem in them. The spaghetti Bolognese we ordered had hardly any sauce, so I had to eat the pasta practically without any sauce at all. The lasagna had a very watery sauce and the lasagna sheets were completely overcooked. When I then called Pizza Express to complain about the food I had ordered from La Verda Pasta, they simply told me to pick up the money for the pizza rolls myself; I would get that back. When I pointed out to the man on the phone that there were three restaurants operating at the same address, he told me it was a mistake by Lieferando.
The food was wonderful, very delicious, the dog was adorable, and the coffee was excellent.
