We went there for dinner after tracking down the location. Everything was delicious. The food arrived quickly. We were able to take the rest with us without any problem.
Basically, a pretty nice restaurant with some serious flaws. We'd mostly walked past it before and decided to go in. The ambiance was fine and quite cozy.
Unfortunately, the trouble began immediately after the waitress seated us. It took a whopping 20 minutes before anyone even showed any interest in us. After noticing that someone was sitting there, we wisely decided to order both (drinks and food) at once. Thank goodness, because the wait for the food was already enormous at 45 minutes. If the quality of the food had been at least decent, I wouldn't say anything yet. The problem, however, was that it was so far off the mark that it was almost unbelievable.
We had the spare ribs, which arrived cold, tough, and with very little meat (3 bones with some meat on them).
We also had edamame, which were also quite cold, and grilled peppers with a limp texture and barely any seasoning.
The squid arm was charred at one end and chewy at the other.
The highlight, however, was the beef tartare, which was garnished with anchovies to seemingly add some flavor. It seems like it was an experiment that unfortunately failed completely in terms of taste.
All in all, one of the most negative experiences in Rosenheim's gastronomy. I can and will only advise everyone not to visit this restaurant. Also, because the service staff is so disorganized that they tried to bring us dessert without us ordering it, while the table next to us had also been waiting for their order for quite some time and were also completely ignored. An unparalleled impudence.
Not to mention that for this "experience," a three-figure bill for two people is served in the blink of an eye.
Quick, easy, and delicious! We spontaneously decided to eat there, and luckily a table was still free; otherwise, reservations are recommended. Very child-friendly, they provided a highchair and entertained our child.
We'd gladly come again!
We've been coming here regularly for five years. The food is always so delicious; I highly recommend it. We love the spring rolls and the number 42. It's a dream. The duck tastes incredibly good; we've never been disappointed.
Easily accessible via the A99, then take the B471 and at the roundabout, take the parallel road to the Birkenhof; there is no direct access from the B471. The restaurant is now tastefully furnished and boasts excellent, traditional cuisine, including some creative specialties. The event cabin has space for an estimated maximum of 50 people and is decorated in a rustic yet stylish manner. The hosts' wishes are always the priority during the planning process. A truly great location in the Munich area. We'll be back!
We had a truly wonderful evening at Basilikum. The restaurant has a relaxed, very welcoming atmosphere. The service staff was very friendly and always attentive. We ordered a three-course menu with wine pairings. The food was simply amazing! The individual components complemented each other so perfectly, and the wines were a wonderful match.
In short: the people who work at this restaurant are fantastic; they really know what they're doing, and you can feel their passion. A very special restaurant in Erlangen that you shouldn't miss!
Have those who gave 5-star reviews ever actually been to a real restaurant? Or only to fast-food places?
In short: The atmosphere is like a beer garden; you're allowed to sit at a large table, and if you're lucky, there might even be strangers at your table. It's also very loud, and the service is incredibly stressed.
The food! The water was the best thing about it. We ordered pizza and pasta, but unfortunately, we didn't enjoy either of them.
The wait wasn't long; we received our food and drinks very quickly.
We waited two hours for our starter platter. Then another hour for the main course. The restaurant was at normal capacity, and there were three waiters, only one of whom was actually seen doing anything. No waiter came to the table to explain or apologize. During the entire time, no one asked for drinks, and their plates weren't cleared away. Other guests, after sitting for a long time with their menus and not being served, got up and left. The food itself is good, but this attitude was a no-go.
We were visiting the area and met a friend for dinner at Mekong. The food was incredibly delicious and the service was super friendly. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.
The ambiance was truly appealing. The food, however, was all the more disappointing: while it looked fine dining, the taste was unfortunately a flop. The multi-course menu completely failed to impress either of us. For this price range, I expect significantly more than just beautifully presented food...
