This pizzeria should be on everyone's radar when visiting the thermal spa in Bad Urach, because it far surpasses that restaurant. It is a true space of desires. At first you think it's a small, very sweetly furnished restaurant but from the kitchen, although I still can't figure out where it is supposed to be, heavenly food starts flying and a toilet just appears out of nowhere. A truly enchanting atmosphere.

There were five of us there with the children. Two Indian vegetarian dishes, two burgers, 1 pizza and vegetarian pakoras as starters. The starter was very tasty, even our skeptical kids ate it. Pizza was very tasty, burger was OK (but honestly... why do you order that from an Indian restaurant? 😄). The Indian food was tasty, but could use a little more spice. Portions rather small. Next time there will be naan. We'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

Taj Mahal Restaurant: The Gasthof Pfählhof has always been a restaurant that offered delicious home-style cuisine. Today it houses an Indian restaurant called “Taj Mahal”. These offer a variety of dishes, especially Indian cuisine with its spicy but also discreetly prepared dishes. In addition to these, you can also get dishes such as pizza, pasta, burgers and finger food here. When it comes to drinks, you will also find a large selection of soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, coffee and latte macchiato. We have been here three times so far and were not once disappointed in terms of taste. The portions don't seem very large at first, but they are more than enough. A helping of rice is included free of charge. Twice a week there is a buffet of selected Indian dishes, whereby care is taken to ensure that vegetarians are not neglected and that fresh salads and vegetables are also available for a salad you can put together yourself. Staff: The staff is always friendly and attentive to their guests and their well-being. They are available immediately and are happy to provide information on all sorts of questions about the dishes. The service staff always has a smile for their visitors and takes care of the neat display at the buffets. Prices: The prices are more than fair and even for those on a small budget you can find good food here that fills you up. The Indian dishes range from starters starting at €3.00 to main courses at €15.90. Location: The interior is tastefully decorated and invites you to take a short oriental excursion. From colorful cloths to wall paintings to small wooden elaborations, the eye will find something interesting to discover. All in all, we can only recommend the restaurant and hope that many more find their way here and experience the culinary delights here.

A delicious ice cream trip to Italy in the heart of Bad Urach. A definite recommendation for every ice cream lover.

If you like garlic, you will love the Mici here. These are freshly prepared (no imported frozen food). There is also a delicious offer for the vegetarians among us. It is a calm traditional ambience with appropriate music. The children enjoyed a large fresh schnitzel.

The hotel is very well located and all the staff were very, very friendly and accommodating. We wanted to spontaneously go hiking on the day of departure and were allowed to stay in the room a little longer to freshen up. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves are not as modern and stylishly furnished as the restaurant. The rooms are clean and everything you need is there. What should be highlighted is the meal in the restaurant in the evening… it was really excellent. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was reasonable for the price and also tasty. Everything we needed was there for us and we were asked if we wanted a boiled egg. Overall, a beautiful family hotel that has been run for over 125 years.
