You were very nice.
We were able to eat well here and take a short, pleasant break in the middle of our trip.
Of course, the food was delicious too.
Thank you very much for that.
I'll definitely be back.
The May restaurant in Mannheim offers an all-around pleasant experience,
from the stylish atmosphere to the friendly service and the high quality of the food. The restaurant features modern decor, warm colors, and a relaxed ambiance that immediately puts you at ease.
I chose the pasta with shrimp and was very satisfied: the pasta was al dente, the shrimp fresh and flavorful, with balanced seasoning and an attractive presentation. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients and pay great attention to detail.
A particularly positive point is that all dishes are halal, an important feature that makes the restaurant particularly attractive to many guests. Payment is also straightforward, as card payments are accepted.
The staff is attentive, helpful, and creates a relaxed atmosphere without being intrusive. The prices are fair and well-balanced for the quality offered.
Overall, the May is a clear recommendation in Mannheim, whether for a relaxed lunch, a stylish dinner, or a meeting with friends. I would be happy to come back!
I ordered a mixed wrap in size M and stuffed vine leaves. It was incredibly delicious, as always; delicious! 🤩 (I later regretted not getting a wrap in size L. xD)
The salesperson was friendly and prepared everything neatly and quickly. 🫶🏻
A somewhat hidden bistro in Durlach-Aue. The dining room on the mezzanine floor has only a few tables. We sat in the former courtyard passage, which is very pleasant in the summer. The menu is small, offering an interesting selection of Mediterranean and Asian dishes. All dishes are freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and attractively presented. Portions are generously sized for a normal appetite. Friendly and attentive service. Evening opening hours could be a bit longer. Considering the high quality, the value for money is acceptable. We would gladly return.
We had a fantastic birthday party at the Lindenhof! The organization was professional, and the food was excellent. The hosts were open to our ideas and were able to complement them with their own experiences. The respectful way the team interacted deserves special mention.
This place is truly terrible. The staff doesn't listen and then puts the wrong food on the table, claiming it's correct. They also cheated on the bill. When we asked for a receipt, the meal was strangely even cheaper than before. We were charged twice for one dish because they also claimed it was ordered that way. However, upon request, the money was refunded without any problems. Unfortunately, the card payment machine broke the day before. We were only told about it after the meal, and it wasn't signposted anywhere. It all sounds like money laundering. I've rarely experienced such a bad place. However, because of the long wait, we did get a free drink.
Overall, though, absolutely unsatisfactory.
Not recommended.
A tiny, unassuming Italian restaurant in the heart of Charlottenburg – five tables inside, three outside – and yet my absolute number one. Ever since I discovered it, I haven't dared to go to any other Italian restaurant.
The menu is small, clear, yet varied. There's a daily special with changing offerings, and they're anything but standard: lamb ragù with porcini mushrooms, venison, monkfish, zander, chanterelles, or asparagus – depending on the season or whatever the chef has fresh at the time. Pasta alla carte is also fantastic, but honestly? I don't even ask anymore. I just say: You choose. Don't say anything. And every time, the result is a hit.
The chef is a quaint Italian, the kitchen is open – you can see how everything is made fresh. And then it comes: the pasta. This isn't just food, this is pasta in your face – perfectly cooked, with bite, flavor, and soul.
The portions are generous, the prices are absolutely fair, and they're accompanied by great wines or a really good espresso.
Summary: In this quiet side street, sunny and without any passing customers, you feel like you're on vacation. Everyone is welcoming, there are many regulars, and there's no rush – just arrive, enjoy, and forget that you're in the middle of Berlin. See pictures.
Small but nice place, wines are good and their descriptions are accurate, cocktails are all very good and consistent on the quality.
The bartender is also an easy going but highly professional and knowledgeable dude that will help you find something that suits your taste.
Bonus points : Some of their alcohols are made in the same street at Freytag.
Prices are OK for Berlin standards, this place is a hidden gem in fhain.
( This is not a restaurant anymore but they do have homemade finger food that is OK for berlin average quality )
The burgers were good, especially the smoky note on the patties. The fries are a bit thicker, but nice and crispy and not greasy at the same time.
It's a shame that the location had to be closed - I hope the Hot Chilli Boys can soon offer their dishes elsewhere in Hanover! The bacon cheeseburger was delicious!
Why did you have to close? This was by far the best place. I ordered there regularly and was never disappointed. Top-notch service, top-notch food, everything. The food was always top-notch in person, too.
