Ein Koch mit absoluter Liebe für Geschmack und Zutat, oftmals erheblich besser als teure "Gourmet-Lokale" oder 4 Sterne- Hotels mit Küche!!! Einfach köstlich, mit Liebe gekocht, wunderbare Qualität! Das Ambiente wid mir immer sympathischer, hier herrscht insgesamt purer Idealismus uns Liebe zum Beruf!!!!!! Absolut erfahrene Mitarbeiter, erstaunliche Bewirtung bei dieser hohen Nachfrage! Ambiente gute Mischung aus Lokal und Wohlfühlkneipe, wir kommen gerne wieder, auch der Wein und Espresso sind prima.

Wirklich gutes Essen und guter Service.

Wir sind schon sehr oft hier gewesen. Das erste Mal war 2020 - es hat sich alles deutlich gesteigert und von der Qualität und dem Geschmack sehr gut gesteigert. Wir sind sehr zufrieden :) ☺️

Es war schön, das Essen war gut, wir mussten nicht lange warten. Die Schnitzel waren sehr gut.

Die Portionsgröße war genau richtig, sodass drei Senioren sich zwei Gerichte teilen konnten. Es war köstlich.

Das war die Beste Hausmannskost zu einem fairen Preis, die ich seit langem mal wieder genießen durfte.

Service gut personal hätte freundlicher sein können .

Authentisches deutsches Nachbarschaftsrestaurant, unprätentiös, freundlich, gutes Essen und Bier.

Das Essen war super lecker und super frisch. Die Schnitzel keine TK Ware sondern noch hörbar mit dem Fleischklopfer bearbeitet 😆 der Salat noch aus frischem Gemüse mit geschmackvollem Dressing. Wir wurden spontan willkommen geheißen und die Bedienung war sehr nett. Wir würden da wieder essen gehen und es weiterempfehlen. Nur der Nachtisch war in Ordnung, aber nicht herausragend

Sehr freundliches Personal.Leckeres Bier in rustikaler Ambiente.Essen ist gut bürgerlich.Am Wochenende sollte man besser reservieren, kann auch mal voll sein.

Wir waren über Weihnachten dort, um traditionelle deutsche Küche zu probieren. Es war die beste Entscheidung, die wir getroffen haben! Das Essen war fantastisch, wir denken noch Tage später daran. Der Service war ebenfalls hervorragend, die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Sie übersetzte die Speisekarte und fragte, ob wir Hilfe bräuchten. Die Atmosphäre war insgesamt sehr angenehm und erinnerte uns an Deutschland. Ein rundum tolles Restaurant, absolut empfehlenswert!

Great restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. The menu is small, but there's always something for everyone. We've always been delighted so far – no matter what we've ordered. For us, it's the top spot for good, home-style cooking in Bilk/Unterbilk!

Delicious schnitzel and a wide variety of salads. Drinks at very reasonable prices. Despite this, the restaurant has hardly any customers at lunchtime, which I don't understand.

I've been going to the Apostel for over 20 years, and used to go there for lunch as well. I've never been disappointed. You should definitely reserve a table beforehand.

It's not your typical crowded German restaurant. It's very neighborhood-style. Very quiet. Very German. They don't speak English. Delicious pork knuckle and sausages too. 27€ per person with two beers.

This is a hidden gem. From the street it doesn’t have a glitzy appearance. You enter through the bar area to an oldy world interior. The waitress is charming, from Greece. We order schnitzel, my wife’s with mushrooms and onions and mine with a pepper sauce. We both ordered croquettes. Light salad to start with a lovely sauce. The schnitzel was heavenly, the croquettes divine. We chose a bottle of Pinot Grigio from Venezia. The meal was simply amazing. We are leaving for Berlin tomorrow but have already reserved a table for next week when we return to Dusseldorf. Highly recommend you try Zwolf Apostel on Bilker Allee. We went during asparagus season and it was a great choice. The white asparagus, schnitzel, and kibbelinge (breaded fish) were delicious. Great value for money.

Not recommended for people who want to eat here. Sauce from a packet. The schnitzel is pounded and breaded, but the sauces are all from a packet. So just crap for a lot of money. The waiter clears empty plates without asking. Even when the main course plates were cleared, no one asked if we had enjoyed it. I had asparagus that was really well cooked. And boiled potatoes that were also cooked to perfection. But then they had the nerve to serve sauce made from powder. That has nothing to do with cooking. They also ordered boiled potatoes with the hunter's schnitzel. They served fried potatoes. I let the hair on my asparagus go and didn't complain because otherwise it probably would have taken even longer to get something to eat. Drinking beer is more or less okay here, but I would never eat here again. Plus, my girlfriend and I had diarrhea after eating here. At least the toilets were clean. But the toilet paper was scarce. I'll never go there again. I can't understand the positive reviews. This whole thing has nothing to do with cooking. I hope to continue serving you guests without expectations in order to pay for your existence. You're good for nothing. The worst cuisine and the worst service so far in North Rhine-Westphalia. I wish you bankruptcy. Rip-off with the packet of sauce. You can taste the snot immediately. And the way they pour beer. First they make the foam and then fill it up. If you have the Alt on the table, the foam is gone within a minute. This place is simply not recommended. Terrible. And the ladies in the service... dude... they babble and complain loudly. You should just close the place. Your place is simply assault.

Clear 5 stars. Outside the old town in a residential area. Everything is right here. Service. Mega tasty food and the portions are very good. A rustic ambience rounds everything off. And the price-performance ratio is outstanding The boss himself is still in the kitchen. Local residents meet here to eat. We loved it and would definitely come back.

Because of the website and the rustic look, we came here without any expectations (it was an invitation). I was very surprised at the large portions and the delicious taste. Best pepper sauce, the jug can take a leaf out of it.

If you're craving tasty, straightforward German cuisine, this is the place for you. Schnitsels in various types, bratkartoffeln and so on. Delicious taste and huge portions. Friendly and fast service. And all that at a friendly price. Think about that again in Düsseldorf.

We were a group and felt comfortable and ate very tasty food. Everything went quickly with the order and even the plates were preheated. The dish was brought to the table in individual hot bowls. Simply wonderful!! Everything is home cooked and no red cabbage comes from a package! Always my pleasure!

We had a class reunion with 20 ladies. The boss reserved the table for us on a good Saturday, everything was perfect and we ate very well.

Whenever we stay in Düsseldorf, we visit the restaurant “12 Apostles”. We have never been disappointed. The food is good, home-style, very tasty. Food and drinks here still have a civilian character. We always enjoy coming back.

My wishes were NOT taken into account when I made the reservation! I wanted to reserve a table for three people in the sponges and made this known (by phone). I was assured on the phone that this would be taken into account. When we arrived, they didn't want to know anything about it! For food: I had a Düsseldorf onion and mustard roast (it's exactly the same on the menu) and was extremely disappointed: No trace of mustard! A piece of pork loin with fried onions. This is NOT a Düsseldorf mustard roast! We won't be coming back!

It's great to go here, eat delicious food and there's even a basket of bread in advance. You can feel very comfortable here. It's worth a visit

No, what nice was that! After a long time, my mom and I had lunch at the “The Twelve Apostles” restaurant. We placed our order and making a small change was no problem! The food was delicious and my mom even ate the entire portion: scrambled eggs with mushrooms, fried potatoes and salad!!! This was certainly also because you feel in good hands here in this well-run restaurant with a nice atmosphere and very good service staff. We'd love to come back! Thanks.

If you’re looking for a legit authentic German place, this might be it. Most reviews said it was very good for the price, but I did think it was a little on the higher side. It’s still a fantastic place that you should try.

Friendly, quick and tasty. Portions are okay, prices are absolutely fine. I had to add more seasoning, which rarely happens to me. A bit flimsy, overall it lacked a certain amount of pizzazz.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, perfect service! What else you'd need? We didn't have a reservation and the two ladies still arranged a small nice table for us. Go for Dusseldorf special onion and mustard sauced pork roast!

Went to dinner spontaneously, had a table for four people, a menu that wasn't overloaded, nice waiters and good food. We were well advised with knuckle, turkey steak and schnitzel. THANK YOU... will definitely come back.
