Never eaten better Bavarian food!! We had a whole lot, currywurst plus the zander fillet, and it was all delicious!! The service was super friendly and accommodated all our requests. The food arrived very quickly, about 10 minutes! The portions are huge for the price. It's definitely worth a visit! We'll be back

Unfortunately, the half chickens we ate at lunch were reheated from the day before. Very dry and not recommended. The rotisserie, unfortunately, promises something different.

I wouldn't have thought I'd get a beer like this in a Bavarian beer garden. The beer is almost non-carbonated – yuck!

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The good reviews lured us to this beer garden, but the food is terrible, everything bought in or frozen, nothing homemade. By far the worst food I've ever had to pay for in a "beer garden." I wouldn't recommend this beer garden to anyone who wants to eat. Of course, we weren't informed until we were paying that card payments weren't possible, even though the waiter said we were the fourth people that day who couldn't pay with cash. On top of that, the prices were too high. A complete tourist trap.

For the price, the portions are truly embarrassingly small, and the taste is what you'd expect from a deep-fried schnitzel, accompanied by a watered-down beer. Service was okay, although the waiters, of course, only spoke broken German. Overall, I strongly advise against eating here.

The food tasted okay, but it was far too expensive, and the portions were tiny compared to the price. The beer tasted more like apple juice than beer and was far too sweet, and the quality was terrible.

A wonderful beer garden with attentive service, a rustic atmosphere, and hearty food. This beer garden is located near Lindau Harbor, shaded by large trees. The staff is prompt and very friendly, and the drinks and food arrived very quickly and were truly delicious. The grilled chicken is grilled outside, which whets your appetite as soon as you enter the beer garden. The accompanying mixed salad consists of potato salad, coleslaw, and carrot salad, along with some fresh lettuce leaves, tomato, and cucumber. An unusual combination, but a perfect match for the grilled chicken (price: €15.20). After a bike ride, our visit to this beer garden was a very pleasant end to the day. Highly recommended!

The food is really not good; the other good reviews lured us here, but we were extremely disappointed. The schnitzel is super thin and, like the potato salad, tastes like frozen/discount store produce. The half chicken was also inedible; it was very dry and had probably been hanging on the skewer for a very long time. The salad is also a joke; it's not cut properly and also tastes like it came from a supermarket. Furthermore, card payments are not accepted, which isn't mentioned when you order; only a small sign at the bar indicates this. On top of that, it's relatively expensive: €17 for the thin schnitzel and potato salad. The servers are okay, and the ambiance is okay, too.

Of course, it can't be compared to a restaurant, but compared to other beer gardens, this place is highly recommended. Super well-seasoned, freshly grilled chicken with a mixed salad (very well marinated), and a beer. Everything ran smoothly with courtesy and friendly behavior. The best part was when I asked the waitress for a lemon or a cleaning cloth, she apologized and brought me a hot, wet napkin instead! It was great, and we'd love to come back.

Super nice beer garden... We had chicken with salad and sausage salad. The service was very friendly, and the food came super quickly. The chicken is freshly prepared in front of your eyes. Mine was very crispy and juicy. Of course, it's a bit more expensive than eating chicken in a festival tent, but what can I say? It's only 30 meters from the promenade, so the prices are in line with the surroundings. All in all, an absolute recommendation!

The food was a disaster. Chicken with flabby skin and barely seasoned arrived within three minutes, before the drinks. Unfortunately, it was just a mass-processed meal.

Aside from being far too expensive for what you get, the taste was also abysmal! The thin, bland-tasting fries were small, and the "currywurst" with so-called homemade sauce was awful. I've never had such a bad "currywurst" before!

Nice beer garden - simple food, but very tasty.

The location not far from Lindau harbor is unbeatable. Sitting here in the beer garden when the weather is nice can't be beat. The service is attentive, fast and friendly. They all come from Eastern Europe and put in a lot of effort - they do their jobs really well. One or two linguistic deficits will certainly be corrected over the summer. The Meckatzer Zwickel in the beer garden is a pleasure. Yes and the food, that's how it works! Had schnitzel with potato salad. Unfortunately, they are all convenience products. The breaded schnitzel is pre-made and the potato salad (and it can be a revelation) comes from the big plastic bucket. I personally think that's a shame - industrial food!

A beautiful summery atmosphere. The chickens are grilled outside, just as they used to be. It's simple, hearty cuisine! Service was nice and accommodating. I spent €15 on food and drinks.

We chose the old shipyard because of the beautiful location (beautiful beer garden right on the lake). Unfortunately, the first nice impression quickly disappeared. Unfriendly service that is geared towards mass processing. Unfortunately the food was also subpar. Absolutely no value for money. Selling frozen schnitzel with a bucket of potato salad for 18 euros is really audacious...unfortunately also carelessly thrown on the plate. It's a shame, because the location and the beer garden are really nice. We won't come anymore.

The smell of cheap broiler chicken is in the air and the potato salad is rotting in huge buckets in the blazing sun. The main thing is cheap.

Great beer garden with delicious Bavarian food

We went to the beer garden at the old shipyard based on a recommendation. I have to say, very friendly and fast service, top food and price performance are more than good. Definitely recommended, we will stop by often.

We ordered a grilled chicken and a schnitzel in the very inviting beer garden. Chicken was ok. , but what was served as a schnitzel doesn't work at all. A tip for the cook: A schnitzel is fried in a pan with fresh fat and not for 3 minutes hung the deep fryer.

15€ for a hand with fries was ok, but I found it derogatory to pay 70 cents extra for ketchup from my jacket pocket. Even at the Poland market you could get what you needed. Food refrigeration overrated

We really enjoyed the half fried chicken and the pike perch in the beer garden. The measure was still available for €8.90. Friendly service under old trees. Centrally located to the harbor.

Good beer garden. Would love to come back. The two girls shared half a chicken with salad and an extra salad. It was very juicy and well seasoned. The men had chicken with fries and were very satisfied. The service was extremely friendly. The location close to the harbor is excellent but unfortunately no longer an insider tip, i.e. It was still a craft market and it was packed! So hats off to the service. He was also quick and helpful. Well, the price. What won't be more expensive? Still a clear recommendation! There are public toilets with wheelchair toilets in the immediate vicinity and free normal toilets in the nearby restaurant. Didn't visit her. Was in the public rolling toilet with a Euro key in the park and it was very clean. The normal ones too, said the companion.

Avoid at all costs!!! After 45 minutes of waiting at the table - a waiter came by - no matter which waiter - everyone seemed completely overwhelmed... without any plan...🙄

We visited the beer garden for the first time. The food came quickly and tasted very good. Big praise goes to the big, friendly waiter. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Lindau.

We went to Austria for the weekend and to conclude our stay, we decided to come and relax for a few hours on the almost island of Lindau by taking the shuttle from Bregenz and discovered this location very well placed for a quick meal. We quickly became disillusioned when we came across a clearly French-phobic server... Muttering under his breath, followed by a violent distribution of cards with a clearly aggressive tone! Having only one usable hand (left hand handicap) I took the card on my knees and fell to the ground, so I picked up the said card, without any excuse from the waiter! We tried to make ourselves understood in German! I have a French accent but it’s definitely German! No effort to understand this leaves... The order takes forever to arrive, other people who arrived after us are served before! Half of the order finally arrives but only half in short we abandon the story but see that at the next table (also French) it's the same story and they have less patience and a spat breaks out with what appears to be the boss and our waiter… in short, very very bad experience! Absolutely avoid!!! Bald waiter with glasses in a perhaps too tight compression t-shirt…

Biergarten unter Bäumen am Hafen Lindau Insel, schneller Service, auch das Essen kam sehr schnell und hat geschmeckt

Wir waren heute nachmittag dort für einen kleinen Zwischenstop. Sehr schöner Biergarten, sehr gutes Bier, Essen akzeptabel. Was leider gar nicht ging, war die für uns zuständige Bedienung. Die erste Bestellung kam zügig und mein Mann hatte sich dann entschlossen, noch etwas weiteres zu bestellen. Allerdings kam der Kellner trotz mehrerer Versuche nicht an den Tisch...."Mooooment" rief er immer nur und ging an andere Tische. Nach 20 Minuten kam er dann widerwillig zu uns, aber der Appetit war uns inzwischen vergangen. Wir beobachteten dasselbe Benehmen dann auch bei anderen Tischen. Es gab auch andere freundliche Kellner wie wir beobachten konnten. Pech gehabt. Fazit....wir kommen nicht wieder. Man kann in Lindau auch woanders gutes Bier trinken und definitiv besser essen.

Super Lage, Preise OK. Wir kamen mit einer größeren Gruppe und konnten ohne Problem (aber erst nach Rückfrage) die Tische zusammen stellen. Das Essen kam schnell und das Hendl war gut. Die Bedienung ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ich habe überlegt ist das jetzt frech oder lustig. Wir entschieden uns für lustig und hatten am Ende Spaß und wurden ohne Probleme nett bedient.

Ja, ein schöner Sonntag, auf dem Weg im Biergarten Platz gefunden. Saubere Tische, Aschenbecher auch. Ein Ober gab sich die Ehre- nach längerer Zeit, auf dem Weg zu unserem Tisch anderen Wartenden zurufend- " komme gleich " . Unfreundliche Aufnahme unserer Bestellung. Die Getränke kamen zügig- anderer, freundlicher Ober. Auf das Essen hatten wir zu warten. Und das war dann....geniessbar. Der Ober kam dann tatsächlich auch mal wieder, tafelte ab und war völlig überfordert, mir etwas einzupacken. Er fiel mir dauernd ins Wort, als ich meine Frage höflich äusserte. Immerhin- bekam auf den Tisch " geknallt " , worum ich bat. Gezahlt. Eine derart unhöfliche, abweisende Bedienung habe ich noch nie erlebt. Gäste an den Nachbartischen wurden ähnlich unfreundlich behandelt. Leute, tut mir Leid, der Platz an sich, am Hafen, ist sehr schön- doch dennoch: MEIDEN.

Beetje een tourist-trap. De fotos zien er leuk uit, maar je zit op een pleintje met weinig uitzicht, niet in het restaurant zelf. Weinig keuze op kaart en kale gerechten voor een stevige prijs. Kwaliteit wel ok. Snelle service en in ons geval leuke en spontane bediening. Geen pin alleen cash..

Essen ist nicht sehr hochwertig aber das ist klar. Dafür geht es schnell

Ungemütlich Biergarten mit traditionellem bayrischem Essen.

Netter Biergarten, kann das Essen nicht beurteilen da wir Vorort nur was getrunken haben. Der Service war freundlich jedoch hat man eine gewisse Zeit warten müssen bis man bedient worden ist. Das lag jedoch vielleicht auch an den vielen Gästen an diesem Abend.

Luogo informale. Servizio veloce. Pollo allo spiedo ottimo. Salsicce bavaresi buone. Il Filetto di pesce decisamente non vale il prezzo, sarebbe stato bello avere qualche scelta di pesce di lago, possibilmente fresco. Birra MECKATZER buona.

Ambiente ist schön Das Essen ist ok (Leberkäse mit Beilage) Kellner war absolut frech und unverschämt. Nicht nur bei uns sondern auch bei anderen Gästen. Haben uns unwohl gefühlt und kommen sicherlich nicht noch einmal dahin.

Angekommen, an freien Tisch gesetzt, prompt bedient, Getränke und Essen schnell bekommen. Alles gut - 2x besucht und gleiches Ergebnis. Alle Erwartungen an einen Biergarten erfüllt. Sicher nicht sehr günstig, dafür aber auch an exponierter Stelle am See.

Ein gemütlicher Biergarten mit sehr hektischen Personal, die Ihre Bestellung quer durch den Biergarten schreien. Das Essen ist normale Hausmannskost nicht gut aber auch nicht schlecht. Die Getränke und das Essen waren zeitgleich am Tisch, was wohl auf vorgekochte Speisen vermuten lässt. Nachdem wir aufgegessen hatten, aber noch nicht ausgetrunken hatten, kam der Kellner und wollte kassieren. Wie schon mehrfach angesprochen, wurde keine Karte akzeptiert und ich musste durch den halben Ort ein Geldautomat suchen. Sowas ist eine Frechheit. Hier sollen wohl die Gebühren für das Electronic Cash gespart werden, oder man soll nicht am Kontostand über die Höhe der Umsätze Einblick erhalten. Das war dort mein letzter Besuch.

Ein super schöner, im Schatten gelegener, Biergarten. Mit tollen und leckeren Speisen rund um die Bayrische Küche. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Waren hier um etwas zu trinken. Im Sommer ist der Biergarten wirklich gemütlich und die Bedienung war auch super schnell. Was allerdings gar nicht geht ist, dass man im Jahr 2022 nach Christus hier immer noch nicht mit Karten zahlen kann. Rückständiger geht wohl kaum noch. Ich musste erst mal einen Geldautomaten aufsuchen damit ich hier bezahlen kann. Tipp: Unbedingt eine Quittung verlangen. Die Bedienung wird nicht sonderlich begeistert sein, aber so ist sichergestellt, dass die Mehrwertsteuer auch bezahlt wird.

Zum Abschluss meines Münchner Jakobswegs hier zu Abend gegessen. War mit 2 anderen Jakobspilgern im Lokal, freundliche Bedienung gutes Essen.

Unglaublich schlechter Service - einzig darauf ausgerichtet möglichst viele Touristen durchzuschleusen. Der bedienende Herr war mehr als unfreundlich - gibt viele bessere Alternativen in Lindau!

Leckeres 1/2 Hähnchen, OK mit Aufbackbrötchen. Damit war aber zu rechnen. Schöner Biergarten. Die Weinschorle 😅als Pfälzer muss ich sagen...dünne Mischung. Habe ich aber auch so erwartet. Alles in allem ein gelungener Besuch und die Bedienung einfach top!

Kennen das Lokal schon sehr lange, von vielen Aufenthalten in Lindau. Gehen sehr gerne in die alte Werft, und wurden auch diesmal wieder nicht enttäuscht. Sehr nettes Personal, Essen auch wieder TOP und gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war Super. Preis Leistung Top. Besonders zu Empfehlen sind die Pizzen da das Restaurant einen eigenen Steinofen hat.

Essen hat nach gar nichts geschmeckt. Waren sehr enttäuscht von der Preis-Leistung. Absolute Tourifalle. Der Service war okay, jedoch war unser Tisch voll von Vogelkacke und die Bedienung hat es nur halbherzig gesäubert. Das Wohl der Gäste liegt hier niemand am Herzen. Eher Masse(nabfertigung) statt Klasse.

Diese Bewertung bezieht sich auf den Biergarten des Hauses. Wir haben dort nur einen Mittagsimbiss einnehmen wollen und bestellten jeder die roten Bratwürste mit Pommes. Ich kannte diese roten Bratwürste bisher nicht, was sich auch als kein Verlust herausstellte. Geschmacklich enttäuschend, Thüringer z.B. um Welten aromatischer. Es kann natürlich auch daran liegen, dass wir alle sie kalt oder bestenfalls lauwarm bekamen. Keine war kräftig angebraten. Dass die Fritten halbwegs okay waren ist nur ein schwacher Trost. Da muss man nicht hin. Es gibt in Lindau genug gute Alternativen. Schade, kein Muster eines bayerischen Biergartens

Nach 3 Mahl hallo sagen Und mehrmals anschauen haben wir nach 20 min eine Bedienung am Tisch gesehen . Es war nicht viel los 2 Personen im Service und sehr schlecht . Man sieht das die keine Konkurrenz haben sie brauchen sich nicht zu bemühen .

The staff were friendly and service was quick. The decor is cheap and outdated. The menu comprises Italian standards and some local specialties such as fish or Spätzle. We had pizza and Kaesspaetzle (not bad), and local fish (mediocre). Problem: we sat inside due to terrible weather. The waiters wore their masks around their chins or, best case, over their mouth only. The air was quite stuffy inside, no window open. We opened the window when a group of people were placed at the table directly next to ours, absolutely no distance between me and the next guest. There were ample tables available, eg behind us. We felt very uncomfortable and decided to forego the desert we had already chosen and fled.

Little gem of a restaurant, quite homely in decor. Food very good and lots of it. Very reasonably priced and a good selection on the menu, almost too much as it was difficult to choose! We started with garlic bread followed by turkey for me and a meat feast grill for Steven. We finished off the meal with apple strudel that was delicious. Would recommend you stop here for a good filling meal.🤗

This large beer garden style outdoors was perfect for lunch (went there twice). Had the meatloaf, gravy, and potato salad. Not fancy, but tasty food. Very good potato salad! Great place to relax and have a beer. Service was very good!

Walking past the harbor in Lindau, we found this restaurant nestled in the corner. It had nice sidewalk tables along with a large inside seating and a very good menu with great prices. They had all the typical German favorites plus pizzas and even a senior portion menu. Lunch was great, the service was very good so we decided to go back in the evening for dinner. Lindau during a weekday evening is quiet but the restaurant filled up, so other people must have come to the same positive conclusion. I recommend it as a typical non.touristic but worthwhile dining option on the old island.

Really nice restaurant just off the promenade in Lindau. I eat at this restaurant quite often when visiting Lindau, the food is delicious, the staff is professional and there are so many options it is hard to choose what to eat, The menu has Italian, Croatian, and German options. All of them have been delicious. The pumpkin soup in season is great.

I've had to wait a while to do this review. There are two places of the same name,one a restaurant, the other a beer garden but Trip Advisor's set up can't cope with that. I have already reviewed the beer garden which was a great experience. The restaurant is equally good comfortable,relaxing interior supports really good food. The balkan meat platter was superb. Pizzas and pastas are very good also. One problem, make sure staff understand what you are ordering as we had a wrong dish delivered which our waiter was reluctant to admit was his error and would not change. Not acceptable. This apart, a fine dining experience in the heart of beautiful Lindau. Quite expensive as are most places in tourist Germany.

We went in last night. The service is attentive and excellent. Starters were excellent and mains were fantastic and of excellent quality. There in nothing to criticize and the wine was tremendous. Price was fair too. Check this one out as it is really great. Thank you guys

Beautiful biergarten, minutes walk from lakefront Tower. Great menu with spit roast chicken, meat loaf that is like Ham Steak and to kick it all off Goulash soup to die for with home made bread. A pleasant place to sit and dine,drink and talk on a good weather evening. Our waiter, Peter was funny , helpful and really efficient. Great beer and Radler( shandy) and very ressonable prices. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Recommended.

My wife and I stopped in hoping for a great romantic dinner. The interior is nice but somewhat generic Italian style in Germany. We did enjoy the good beer collection and the pizzas were really tasty. The Mediterranean salad we ordered was really a German salad with olives on it. Also frustrating to me was that they don't accept credit cards, causing a long walk to a hard to find ATM. Just so-so experience.

We chose the place as it was quieter looking and tucked away from the masses on the waterfront. Pleasant service. Had a delicious salad with loads of dressing and local white fish. My other half enjoyed his turkey cutlet and chantarelles. We also tried and liked the "light" beer offering (40% less alcohol). Our only complaint was that a couple of vicious, biting bugs made their home under our table and started attacking our ankles towards the end.

Rather a „cheap“ joint: Real Bavarian beer - sitting outside, like in Bavaria. That is fine. The waiter was friendly. BUT: The food we got was not that fine, food of a tourist trap: We‘ve had salads (Salatteller), „nothing special“ at all ... just a kind of green healthy (=tasteless) stuff, almost no dressing. Even the potato salad offered no reliable taste. The sausages (Wiener) were of mediocre quality, served with oily French fries ....

Just discovered by chance and had lovely salad and delicious pizzas which were freshly made. We sat outside and enjoyed the late summer sun.

In the tourist area but off the main street, this little place was very nice. We had calzones and Wiener Schnitzel. Both were very good Prices were very reasonable. Outdoor seating in good weather.

Our first choice restaurant was booked up so we chose to eat here as it was close to where we were staying and looked ok (we hadn't checked Tripadvisor!). It wasn't an altogether terrible experience, but I cannot recommend it. The food was nothing special...

Service very good, food "bratwurst " was not a real bratwurst but a cheaper version being sold at eye watering prices. €8.90 when five cost €2.72 I wouldn't have minded if they had been the real deal, but to pay full price for sub standard...

We had two different pizza's, a salad and a pasta which were all good and had reasonable price. Our service was good. Clean and in hot summer days also cool toilets. Also a biergarten nearby.
