Restaurant Arche Noah

We were very disappointed with our visit. The staff wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. Our order arrived quickly, but the waffle was partially raw inside. Okay, these things happen. It was taken away without a word and replaced with one that was almost burnt. Oh well. To top it all off, we received a moldy cheesecake. Again, it was taken away without a word, and after a short while, we were asked if we wanted another piece, but we had completely lost our appetite. There was no apology or attempt to make amends for either incident during the entire visit. At least we didn't have to pay for the cheesecake. The drinks were okay.

Superb location, especially during the day with a fantastic view of the ocean. The ambiance in the evening is also truly special. This is exactly how I imagine a restaurant on Long Island should be. The steak was magnificent, an undisputed culinary highlight of the vacation. We visit St. Peter-Ording twice a year. A visit to Arche Noah, both during the day and in the evening, has become a regular occurrence for us.

Simply fantastic in winter! Superb service, but also expensive! My conclusion: Worth it!!!

We were only there for hot chocolate. Hot chocolate with the best view of the sea.

We're regulars here (I'll leave the "regulars" label up to the owners). Even when it's busy, the staff are incredibly friendly. I've always found the food and drinks good, but today's meal was absolutely outstanding (see photos). The Ark is our go-to weather shelter when we've been to the beach with the dog. So we're practically always here when we're in St. Peter-Ording. Dogs are welcome; however, out of consideration for everyone, we make sure our dog is either clean and dry or wearing a coat. See you soon! P.S.: I forgot to mention the always-great playlist. From chill house to 90s soul, there's always something for everyone, played at a comfortable volume.

The crab soup was tasteless and an outrage. The other dishes were about 3 or 4 out of 5. The service wasn't particularly friendly and reacted rudely to the complaint about the taste of the food. The only positive is the location.

After a walk along the beautiful sandy beach in St. Peter-Ording, we took a relaxing break. Enjoying delicious mulled wine and soaking up the atmosphere. We always come back and enjoy our time there.

The walk to the Ark was quite long, but strolling along the seafront and then going to the Ark was a perfect idea. The atmosphere was really cozy and romantic with a crackling fireplace. We had an octopus carpaccio that was absolutely delicious. The schnitzel was also wonderfully tender and can be highly recommended. My wife had the baked potato with chicken and was also very happy with it. All in all, a truly lovely outing.

Especially lovely in winter: cozy warmth by the fireplace, rustic ambience, unbeatable view, friendly team and prices that are quite typical for the area.

Oh, how beautifully situated this Noah's Ark is! A wonderful place where you can sit by the warm stove and watch the stormy sea through the large windows. Delicious cakes, a good selection of coffees. A must-visit when vacationing in Sankt Peter-Ording!

Very friendly waiters, a great atmosphere among everyone, polite, a lovely ambiance with a fantastic view. We only had tea. The food and cake looked delicious at other tables. It was a bit pricey, but what is expensive these days? They were playing really good music!

The view is absolutely stunning here and the service is friendly and fast, however my SOP pasta was a bit dry and I'm not used to it with pepperoni from a jar, but rather fresh or dried. The whole thing tasted a bit sour to me, sorry.

The stars are more for the place itself... the location is truly fantastic. It's great that there are two vegan main courses! But to our surprise, there was no plant-based milk at all. When we asked about it, the response was (to our personal taste) rather lukewarm. This was generally the vibe. When we asked again if we needed anything else (another drink, food), unfortunately, nothing more came of it. Of course, you can ask yourself, but we think it shouldn't be unusual to be asked again.

Great location with a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the music was always too loud on several visits. The cheesecake was delicious, but the coffee was rather poor. Even a cup of tea was only about three-quarters full. This is annoying, especially since the food and drinks are quite expensive.

Restaurant on stilts near the water's edge. A wonderfully cozy atmosphere and attentive staff. Since we didn't order anything that day, we can only comment on the service and the drinks we ordered. Everything was excellent, and we'd gladly come back.

The restaurant is located right on the beach, built on stilts, and offers a wonderful view of the sea and the expansive beach. We spontaneously got a table for dinner on the very large terrace. We had an excellent meal: the rump steak was cooked to perfection, and the sea bass was also perfectly fried, served with delicious vegetables and salads. The drinks are also highly recommended. It's not exactly cheap, but you're paying for the view and getting very good food in return. The service was friendly and quick, so we definitely recommend it.

I can't comment on the food, as I didn't eat anything. My latte was delicious, and the view was simply breathtaking. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very cozy. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is beautifully situated on the beach, built on stilts with views of the sea and the sand. To get there, you need a St. Peter-Ording visitor's card or a day ticket. There are only outdoor tables, which are covered and have windbreaks all around, but it's still quite drafty in the autumn. The service is friendly and quick. However, the food is mediocre at best. The fish was overcooked and dry, and there was no sauce whatsoever with the half-plateful of potatoes. The prices are too high, especially considering the quality.

Not cheap, but good. Large portions.

The fish platter, listed online for €23.90, but priced between €24.90 and €26.90 (we're not entirely sure of the exact price) two weeks ago, truly shocked us. One (!!!!) tiny shrimp—I repeat, just one tiny shrimp—three ridiculously small (!!!!) pieces of carelessly fried fish (more like nuggets than pieces), a small bowl of dry salad (like it was from the day before and came out of a pre-packaged bag), and some potato halves simply slapped onto the plate with a squirt of balsamic vinegar from a tube. To charge this price for a "fish platter" by the sea, and to deliver such a ludicrous quantity and such poor quality, is simply outrageous. AWFUL! You can get a fish sandwich at Gosch for €5 more. We were all in agreement... The WORST MEAL we have EVER been served. It's a shame; they're obviously just taking advantage of the large number of beachgoers and raking in the cash, even though the BEAUTIFUL LOCATION promised more. We'll just mention in passing the service, which was LOUDLY and annoyingly clowning around in the open area, much LOUDER than ALL the other guests. What a shame... overall, UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING.

Magnificent view with food, coffee and cake, and a small kiosk area

A nice ambience, but disastrous cuisine.

We went there a few days ago without a reservation and were given strange looks. The ambiance is really very good and highly recommended. The food is okay, but not worth the price. We had the Loup der Mer (it was okay, but nothing more) and then paid €32.50 for it, and €11.90 for a not-so-good creme brulee is not reasonable. The service was very unmotivated; you had the feeling you were unwanted and that you should leave quickly. We didn't feel welcome at all. I also come from a restaurant background, and that shouldn't be the case here.

We enjoyed the sunset, the blue hour, with wonderful autumn warmth.

We didn't eat anything, just a drink, so we're not reviewing any of the food. The service inside was very friendly and attentive. We're really looking forward to eating here sometime. The atmosphere here is wonderful 😊

Very beautiful during the day and even more so in the evening – with candles and fairy lights and a view of the North Sea! Food and drinks are also recommended. The walk to Noah's Ark will whet your appetite, and the walk back to the car/hotel is good for digestion :-)

A very cozy location with a good selection of different dishes. The staff was super friendly and quick. The food was also really great – I had the chicken teriyaki bowl and a delicious blackberry ginger lemonade.

We've been there several times, always satisfied, friendly and attentive service, but this time, hmm, we sat outside because it was sunny and beautiful. There was a menu on every table, but if you wanted to order something from it, it wasn't possible, you had to order inside the restaurant. When I asked why the menus were on every table, I just got a 🤷🏽 in response. I know there are worse things, but it was annoying at that moment. There was cake for outside, so we were happy with that.

Very nice view with good drinks and cake. Service was also very good! The fish soup was truly tasteless, more like tomato soup, chewy fish-like curls... nope! The sausage and fries were also very mediocre.

We recently visited the North Sea for the first time and ate here, and we can't complain. We placed our order quickly, and the food and drinks were served promptly. It was delicious, and we'd love to come back if we get the chance...

The Ark was always something to avoid due to overcrowding. Today, however, there was a storm, and there was hardly a soul around, so we were able to sit comfortably in the Ark between two hellish rain showers. Great atmosphere and delicious plaice fillet at St. Peter's usual prices, with a view of the storm-lashed North Sea. You couldn't have spent a worse evening :)

Top location and view – that's about it, unfortunately. The restaurant lacks heart, food and drinks are of minimal quality, but the prices are upscale – fitting for the location, but not for the service.

Unfortunately, there is no alternative locally, otherwise the store would probably go bankrupt.

The restaurant is highly recommended. Friendliness is a top priority. Helpful, and I think the prices are reasonable. The food is always delicious. There's also lovely music. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone. I would gladly go there again.

Unfortunately, the currywurst wasn't cooked well. It wasn't fried or grilled properly. The sauce was thin. A real shame! For €14.50, it's quite expensive. Smoking on the terrace was also very disturbing. A designated smoking area, rather than a non-smoking area, would have been very appropriate.

We've been lying on this stretch of beach for years, where you can either get something from Noah's Ark to put in your beach chair or eat it up there. I have to say, the produce is usually okay, but the prices have gotten out of hand. For a takeaway salad with maybe six lettuce leaves and eight small pieces of chicken for €19.50, even half the price would be too much! Admittedly, I think the salad dressing is good! But where is all this going to lead? Yesterday I picked up a currywurst and chips. Disaster, a soggy red sausage in one piece, the sauce not really that great. Whether you get chips or garlic bread with dip, everything is incredibly overpriced, half the price too much! I've only ever seen it like that on the islands, and there you can actually understand it to a certain extent since everything has to be brought there. I hope they don't want me to think that only top earners can afford it. We love ST. Peter-Ording, and we'll be coming back to this stretch of beach, but we'll just bring our own things with us, and that's a shame. We like to spend a bit, but too much is too much.

I got two fish sandwiches. Bismarck was okay. Salmon wasn't good at all. I ordered one fries and they took two. But I got my money back.

A glorious end to the beach. I had a delicious schnitzel with fries, which was really good, and a generous and filling portion. The service was quick and attentive, which is a plus for this wonderful location. The ambiance, right on St. Peter-Ording beach, is beautiful and a lovely place to feast and indulge.

On August 7, 2025, I was served a slice of soggy cheesecake and a slice of soggy apple crumble cake (from the day before?). Super delicious/yuck.

I waited a good half hour for my jackfruit burger. What was served was very disappointing. The bun was dry, fell apart, and tasted, in my opinion, like cheap supermarket buns. The patty was crispy on the edges and mushy on the inside. The taste wasn't anything special either. I would expect a burger like that from a €6 takeaway, but not from a €15.90 restaurant. The fries were okay, but they reminded me more of a takeaway. When I paid, there was no question, like you'd expect from a restaurant, asking if everything was tasty.

A restaurant on stilts. A very pleasant place to sit, have a drink, and eat something! The view of the vast white sand and the North Sea is spectacular. This restaurant is no-frills. You sit wherever you're free, and someone will come and serve you promptly. They have a set menu and a daily menu! We were only given the daily menu, which I found quite limited, with simpler and cheaper dishes. The restaurant also offers takeout, if you prefer to eat sitting on the sand and enjoying the sea. Note: To get to the restaurant, you'll have to pay a €4 fee (per person) and walk almost 1 km along a pier over a protected area, but it's worth it.
