Café Restaurant "Hörnle"

Ich kann nur den Service beurteilen, da ich nur eine Cola bestellt hatte. Trotzdem, dass sie eigentlich schon geschlossen hatten, versorgten sie mich vor meiner langen Fahrrad Rückfahrt noch mit einer Cola. Außerdem wurde meine Fahrradflasche auch noch mit Wasser aufgefüllt.

Pide und Pizza frisch vor den Augen zubereitet. Echt mega lecker. Neben dem ganzen Standard-Pommes-Currywurst eine willkommene Abwechslung. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Vorsicht: Für Kaffee und Kuchen nicht zu empfehlen! Apfelkuchen war leider ungenießbar. Jeder TK-Aufbackkuchen ist besser als dieses trockene Stück Teig. Die Sprühsahne aus der Dose, die übrigens extra kostet, hat auch nicht geholfen das Teil runter zu bekommen. Zudem war der Cappuccino leider maximal aus dem Vollautomaten. Bitter und Schaumkrone. Siebträgermaschine oder sogar Milchaufschäumer wohl nicht vorhanden. Schade..... die 10 Euro für ein trockenes Stück Teig, Sprühsahne und einen schlechten Cappuccino kann man besser investieren. Service war zudem überfordert obwohl kaum Gäste da waren. War zum Menü holen, Bestellen und Rechnung nehmen jedes Mal an der Theke weil draußen niemand kam. Zumindest hat die Milch im Cappuccino nicht extra gekostet.

So ein schlechtes Pitzza habe ich noch nie gegessen ...und dann mit so minderwertigen Zutaten.Liber hungrig sein,als so etwas zu bestellen.

Legendäre Weine aus der Türkei!

Waren heute zum Essen da, sehr freundliche Menschen und toller Service! Der Mezeteller schmeckte sensationell, authentisch wie in der Türkei zubereitet mit warmen Fladenbrot, Top! 5 ⭐️

Bratwurst von sehr geringer Qualität, trotz hohem Preis. Vermutlich Separatorenfleisch. Enthält jedenfalls vermehrt Knochenreste. Besser wäre wohl nur Pommes ohne Bratwurst, da sich der Aufpreis von knapp 5€ nicht lohnt. Preis/Leistung sehr schlecht. Bedienung ist zügig, wirkt jedoch bereits bei einer einzelnen Nachfrage zur Bratwurst gestresst und nur mit sichtbarer Mühe freundlich. Ort ist sauber und die Atmosphäre angenehm.

Ich bin oft in Konstanz und auch häufig in diesem Restaurant. Seit etwa einem Jahr gibt es neue Inhaber – Gott sei Dank 🙂 Die neuen Besitzer sind so freundlich und gut, dass ich extra oft dort essen gehe. Vor allem finde ich, dass die alten Google-Bewertungen nichts mehr mit den neuen Inhabern zu tun haben. Das Restaurant hat sich wirklich sehr verbessert. Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit hervorragendem Ausblick auf den Bodensee. Essen und Service waren auch top. Werde wieder kommen 👍🏽

Die Lage ist wirklich sehr schön, der Service dagegen war bei unserem Besuch leider sehr enttäuschend. Unsere Bedienung wirkte von Anfang an sehr lustlos. Ich habe ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat (25,90 €) bestellt, bekommen habe ich kommentarlos Schnitzel mit Pommes. Erst auf Nachfrage kam eine knappe Info das der Kartoffelsalat aus ist. Zu keiner Zeit wurde eine alternative Beilage angeboten was man bei fast 26€ erwarten könnte. Weder gab es eine Entschuldigung noch irgendein Entgegenkommen. Nach dem Bezahlen wurde sich dann nicht einmal verabschiedet stattdessen ist die Bedienung sichtlich genervt gegangen. Mit Service hat das leider nichts zu tun sehr schade.

Unfreundliche Bedienung und gestresstes Personal sorgten für eine insgesamt unangenehme Atmosphäre. Die Lage war allerdings gut.

Es dauerte ewig und dann war die Dame an der Theke noch sehr unfreundlich. Wir sassen direkt vor der Tür und haben keine Getränke To Go bekommen, obwohl die Gäste vor uns noch selbige bekamen. Nie wieder.

Die Preise stehen in keinem Verhältnis zur Qualität. Die angebotene Wurst wird nicht frisch gegrillt, sondern lediglich in Fett erhitzt und hat geschmacklich wenig mit einer klassischen Bratwurst zu tun. Selbst einfache Beilagen wie Ketchup werden zusätzlich berechnet, was bei den ohnehin hohen Preisen irritiert. Auch die bestellten Tapas wirkten eher wie aufgewärmte Fertigprodukte: Champignons, Paprika-Mais-Mischung und Melonen-Feta-Salat machten einen wenig frischen Eindruck. Insgesamt war die Qualität des Essens enttäuschend – früher war das Niveau hier deutlich höher. Die Portion Pommes war klein, stark fettig und überwürzt. Für den Preis hätte ich wesentlich mehr Sorgfalt erwartet. Der Blick auf den See ist wunderschön, aber beim Essen würde ich persönlich empfehlen, etwas Eigenes mitzubringen

Lokale bei Winterspaziergängen sind rar. Das Schild beim "Hörnle" offen erstaunte. Service und Essen waren ausgezeichnet, gern wieder.

Klar Ambiente ist immer eine Wahrnehmung und ich fand es nicht schlimm aber auch nicht so ansprechend. Der Service war gut und der Kaffee gut. Die Preise naja man könnte denken man ist auf der anderen Seite = CH. Sonst hat alles gepasst auch die Freundlichkeit.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Nachtisch. Alles sehr reichhaltig und schön angerichtet! Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

Wir waren früher schon einmal in diesem Restaurant und haben es jetzt wieder besucht. Man merkt, dass sich in dieser Saison sehr viel verbessert hat – die Speisen sind wunderbar lecker und der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir fahren gestern nach dem Seeschwimmen zum Mittagessen auf der Terasse des Restaurants. Wunderschöne Aussicht, die beiden Salat waren tadellos und Service durchgängig sehr freundlich.

Wir gehen immer wenn wir in Konstanz sind hier den super leckeren feinen Vorspeisen Teller für 2 Essen. Alles selbstgemachte Pasten u dazu knusprigen Brot. Sehe schade müssen die aktuellen Besitzer die schlechten Bewertungen der Vorgänger mit sich rumtragen. Die Aussicht und Atmosphäre sind einfach nur herrlich. Da kommen bei uns immer Feriengefühle auf. Macht unbedingt weiter so. Und danke!!! Bis bald.

This season, they've been serving wonderful food here, and we were absolutely thrilled today. Everything was freshly made for us and was truly delicious. Add to that the fantastic view and friendly service—I highly recommend it!

Seit dieser Saison gibt es hier wunderbares Essen, wir waren heute total begeistert. Alles wurde frisch für uns gemacht und war wirklich sehr lecker, dazu kommt noch die fantastische Aussicht und ein freundlicher Service, kann man nur empfehlen!

Der neue Geheimtipp in Konstanz!😀 Die Inhaber sind neu und haben das Café Hörnle zu einer Attraktion von Konstanz gemacht. Sehr sehr freundlich und sehr gutes Essen. Curry Hühnchen sehr zu empfehlen.

Ich war bereits zwei mal im Restaurant essen und bin überwältigt. Essen schmeckt super gut, meiner Meinung nach ein absoluter Geheimtipp in Konstanz. Hoffe der Laden bekommt mehr Aufmerksamkeit.

Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service in dem vor 4 Wochen von neuen Pächtern übernommenen Lokal. Tolle Aussicht von der Sonnenterrasse auf den See. Das selbstgemachte Tiramisu mit Mokkasauce schmeckt hervorragend und ist so gross, dass es für zwei reicht. Die Orientalischen Vorspeisenplatte vom Nachbartisch hat auch verlockend ausgeschaut - wir kommen wieder! :-)

Lecker Pizza, kaltes Bier was will man mehr!

Unfortunately, the currywurst was inedible and I had a stomach ache afterwards.

The location was great, as described. We had a ham pizza that was incredibly delicious. The service was also extremely friendly and quick.

We were there at the kiosk yesterday; everything was well organized. We ate a homemade ham pizza, which was delicious. It's not exactly cheap, though.

We were on a short trip to Lake Constance and, on Saturday, August 9th, in perfect summer weather, we landed at the beautiful, well-maintained Hörnle lido. We decided to visit the restaurant's terrace. With a relatively large crowd and limited staff, we had to be patient, but we were still served in a friendly and courteous manner. The appetizer platter, shrimp, and salad tasted absolutely delicious and were more than enough. We were very satisfied and can definitely recommend the restaurant.

A top spot on Lake Constance! Café Restaurant Hörnle is a wonderful place to enjoy good food with a view of the water. The terrace is beautifully situated on Lake Constance, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Friendly service, tasty dishes, and a good menu. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or just a drink in the sun. Highly recommended if you're in Konstanz!

This was my first time here, having come all the way from Switzerland. The staff was super friendly, the food was incredibly delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Keep it up, I'd love to come back.

Far too expensive! Because of the Muslim owners, the bratwurst is a beef sausage that's not grilled, but fried in fat. It's absolutely nothing like a bratwurst and tastes like chewing gum. Ketchup, etc., costs extra and should definitely have been included in these prices. I can only advise everyone to bring their own food/drinks.

The new team is absolutely amazing; fast, incredibly friendly, and professional service! And the food is to die for! The appetizer platter for two looks like it could be the individual dips from the salad bar at the supermarket, but that's far from it. Everything is fresh and prepared with love. Big compliments to the kitchen team! And the fries, quite honestly, are incredibly crispy, well-seasoned, and a huge portion for €3... unbeatable!

We were on the terrace today and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and the lido, while also enjoying the absolutely fantastic "appetizer platter for two"! It was amazing! If there were six stars, I'd give them seven! 🌟 The Hörnle restaurant isn't just a restaurant – it's a culinary temple, an oasis of taste, a sensory journey that left me deeply emotionally destabilized (in the best sense)! As soon as I entered the restaurant, I felt like I was entering another dimension – a dimension of warmth, impeccable service, and a menu that was clearly curated directly by a divine being. The view? Dreamy. Lake Constance sparkles like liquid diamonds, seagulls dance in slow motion, and somewhere an invisible harp plays. Probably. And the food… MY GOD, the FOOD! I ordered a schnitzel, but what I got was a revelation. Tender as a love poem, crispy as an autumn sunset, and with a coating that was probably breaded by angels. The side dishes were so perfectly matched that I briefly thought a Michelin star was about to jump out of my plate. The service? Out of this world. Friendly, attentive, witty, professional—I think they can read minds. Before I even realized I was thirsty, a perfectly tempered drink was on the table. I didn't even have to blink. Conclusion: I arrived as a simple person, and I left as a gourmet guru with tears in my eyes. If you don't eat here, you're not just missing out on a good meal—you're missing out on a life highlight. I would willingly strand myself in Konstanz just to eat at Hörnle again. An absolute must-do for anyone with good taste—in the truest sense!

Great view of the lake. We ordered tapas, but were very surprised that what we received felt like "heated canned food." The fried mushrooms and the sweetcorn pepper salad were definitely from a jar or can. The melon and feta salad was just a few diced melon pieces and three or four pieces of feta. So, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. It used to be much better here. Such a shame...

The location is great. But the food gets more expensive every year! Where will this end?!

This was the last time I was there. I waited over an hour and a half for a portion of fries (along with 8 people who also ordered burgers and fries in a restaurant that wasn't even full). On top of that, the waitress was unfriendly and only brought five small slices of bread for an appetizer platter for 2 people after repeated requests. A very high price for such poor service. No comment about the delay in the food other than "coming right away," no apology, no accommodation, no espresso, or dessert—nothing. The skewers didn't arrive at the same time, and some people had finished eating before I even had my portion of fries. I wouldn't have expected reviews to be so inaccurate!

Great service, delicious food & beautiful view of the lake.

I had a wonderful evening with my family. The view of the lake is stunning, and the excellent food selection is amazing. The sea bream simply melts in your mouth. We especially liked the friendly young waitress and found her very personable and attentive. We've never experienced such excellent service as she did. I would go back in a heartbeat!

So, the currywurst is really small for the price. There's not much on the plate. There's not much flavor, and there aren't many baked rolls. This could be improved.

After a long break, I was there this afternoon. New tenant, very pleasant. The tapas for snacking are delicious. The tiramisu was also very good. The ambiance with the view of the lake from the terrace has always been pleasant. The service was extremely friendly. We wish you much success with the new venture. Thank you very much.

Since the new tenant will be there starting in the 2025 season, you should ignore the old (and partly negative) reviews. Much has already been said about the location --> one of the best in KN! The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. (see also the food section.) We only had the starter plate (mezze) for two people and fries. With the delicious and fresh flatbread, we were already more than full (for less than €28 combined). We wanted the rest of the mezze to be wrapped. To prevent the different dishes from getting mixed up, the waitress didn't want to repackage it, but instead wrapped the serving plate in foil and gave it to us. We were asked to bring it next time. I've never experienced that before! 😀👍 And the food itself --> incredibly delicious, 9 different dishes on one large plate (see picture). The fries were beautifully brown and crispy with salt and a spice. If you want fries plain or just with salt, please let us know. This will probably be our regular restaurant this summer! 👍

Just opened , great food , delicous meat plates

Simply great for a kiosk on a beach. From fries to homemade pizza. The team is very friendly and attentive. The view of the Hörnle from the terrace is beautiful.

We had a pide with vegetables for 11 euros and a small bowl of fries for 4.50 euros. Ketchup and mayonnaise were charged at 50 cents each. The food tasted good, but the portion was too small for the price.

It's a shame, the service and products of the Hörnle Restaurant have unfortunately changed to the detriment. The fries are overpriced for a snack, unfortunately the white wine cannot be recommended AT ALL, it has nothing to do with wine. It's a shame because the location is really beautiful.

**One-star rating for the Café Restaurant “Hörnle”** I wanted to buy a drink to go, but there was an additional deposit of 50 cents. Luckily I had another bottle with me to pour the drink into. I find it annoying that the deposit on the bottle was 50 cents, even though it was Drinks usually only require a 15 cent deposit. Due to this unnecessary circumstance, I can unfortunately only give one star. If the deposit had been 15 cents, I would have given it five stars and saved myself having to refill it.

We ordered a portion of French fries at a price of 4.50 euros, which I consider to be extremely generous for a simple dish of this type. When asked “Mayonnaise or ketchup?” replied a companion, not knowing that the tiny portion of ketchup would cost another additional 50 cents, “Ketchup.” At a price of 4.50 euros for some thawed potato pieces, I would have expected the sauce to be included. Still, it's just 5 euros. My companion, who was very hungry, assumed that the meal would be served in a reasonable time. But that was far from the case: after about half an hour we continued to be patient. A brave comrade finally gathered up all his courage and asked a seller about the whereabouts of our food. He replied, without any trace of remorse, that he had simply forgotten about it. Ten minutes later the food finally reached us, but without an apology or compensation. But the meal also disappointed us deeply. The tiny portion of ketchup couldn't improve the soggy, not particularly warm French fries. Unfriendly service, poor quality food and an unreasonably long waiting time. Unfortunately I can't make a recommendation!

Waited hours for 4 fries in a dirty cardboard box. The guy with a beard longer than his genitals didn't even want to give me a free sweet currywurst. Price impossible, I had to go home and cry.

Very unfriendly employee. An exchange needs to be made here. The food is very okay for a restaurant of this type, there's nothing you can say about that. But this employee is so arrogant. I asked if I could add olives to my pizza (anchovies with capers). This was denied to me in an arrogant tone. That could have been said more kindly. As you can see from the other reviews, I'm probably not the only customer who has encountered such problems in this restaurant. There is a need for action here!

We always enjoy being on holiday here in Konstanz. We often visit the lido. In 2019 we bought spaghetti, fries, burgers and ice cream. Everything arrived very quickly and tasted fabulous. In 2022 we went to the restaurant again and ordered the same thing. It just tasted terrible! The fries were totally greasy and unsalted. Let's move on to the pasta, which simply tastes raw. The service was very nice but only the boss had any idea who ordered what. Location is great! Unfortunately the restaurant has changed negatively. A few days ago we visited again and wanted to give it a chance. Just terrible, still not much has changed. We ordered Sprite and just got water with a lemon in it...

Sehr unfreundliche Mitarbeiter - zum einen stand ich in der Schlange um Eis zu kaufen, der Mitarbeiter ging einfach weg. Später habe ich 3 Mitarbeiter gefragt, um Geld zu tauschen, keiner wollte mir Geld für die Kindertrampoline wechseln. Zudem, 4 Euro für eine Mini Portion Pommes.

Leider komplett überfordert. Schade dass es den Vorpächter nicht mehr gibt.

Wir waren heute im Restaurant auf der Terrasse, nicht am Kiosk! Wir hatten den Salat mit Pute und einen Hähnchenspieß. Für ein Freibad war das Essen wirklich klasse, auch wenn das Beilagengemüse heißer hätte sein können. Das Baklava mit Eis was lecker. Obwohl die Terrasse sehr voll war und der Service viel zu tun hatte, wurden wir sehr freundlich und aufmerksam von einer jungen Dame bedient. Wir würden wieder dort essen gehen. Jederzeit.

Die Lage und der Blick auf See und Berge ist natürlich unschlagbar. Das Essen war leider sehr lieblos zubereitet und der Service sehr unmotiviert. Preis Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht.

Tolle Location und für einen Imbiss ist das Essen auch gut.

Waren heute wieder das erste mal seit langem am Hörnle und haben das Restaurant besucht, wunderschöne Terasse. Personal ist sehr höflich und die Burger waren Super lecker.

War heute am Kiosk. Die Pommes Frites waren genauso laff, wie im letzten Jahr auch schon. Große Schlange und leider nur eine Kasse offen. Kartenzahlung ist offensichtlich erst wieder ab 1. April möglich.

Das Restaurant besteht aus dem eigentlichen Restaurant mit Innenbereich und Sonnenterrasse und dem Kiosk. Das Restaurant bietet eine Vielzahl an Speisen und Getränken, der Kiosk Curry- und Bratwürste mit Pommes oder Brot sowie Pizzen, Brezeln, diverse Süßigkeiten, Eis, Getränke und im Sommer manchmal auch Obst und Salate. Hier findet also jeder was - auch wenn die Warteschlange im Sommer manchmal enorm ist. In dem Fall empfehle ich v.a. bei den Currywürsten zu warten, bis der Andrang abgeflaut ist, da diese sonst oft nicht ganz so kross sind, wie sie sein sollten. Die Preise sind nicht ganz günstig, aber für die Lage noch OK. Sowohl Restaurant, als auch Kiosk legen eine Winterpause bis circa März ein, der Kiosk in der Regel früher je nach Witterung ab Mitte bis Ende September, das Restaurant tendenziell später. Nachdem letztes Jahr der Pächter gewechselt hat, waren die Currywürste (die ich hier seit Jahren im Sommer ständig esse) zunächst nicht mehr so gut wie vorher. Jetzt ist die Soße wieder gut und ich kann dafür guten Gewissens eine Empfehlung aussprechen. Auch war zu Beginn nach dem Pächterwechsel die Organisation nicht besonders gut, das Personal öfters mürrisch und gestresst. Auch das hat sich inzwischen beides gebessert. Daher gebe ich dem Kiosk nun dieselben vier Sterne, die ich dem alten Pächter auch gegeben hätte, wenn ich damals schon Rezensionen geschrieben hätte.

Kaffee und Torte waren sehr lecker, gerne wieder!
