We had two meat dishes and an apple curry soup, it was very nice and tasty. Service was very nice

Delicious food and good selection of sweet and salty, small and large. Drinks menu standard Nordic. Prices typical of a tourist region are set a little higher. Service, however, was quite dismissive, several waiters per table. But the atmosphere and food are convincing.

We have been visiting Hafenliebe again and again in recent years! We've often had bad-tempered service staff. But this year, at the end of October, we were lucky! Got a seat outside at the warm mushroom, the table was clean, not sticky or anything like that. The prices are already high, but where isn't that? The quality of the food and drinks was good! The burger was very tasty 😋 and so was the rice pudding for a short time! We were very surprised! Staff friendly, we didn't immediately ask if we had any further requests, I flagged down a lady and was able to order the food. We were very satisfied and will come back!

I've been to the restaurant twice and was very impressed each time. The staff is very friendly and you are served quickly. I was there both times in the evening and didn't have a reservation, but luckily there was always a seat. I had the Königsberger Klopse with mashed potatoes and it was very good. I'd love to come back.

We went on vacation as a family to Warnemünde in October 2021 and wanted to have dinner in the outdoor seating area at the Hafenliebe by the cozy fire and end the day. We sat down at 7:45 p.m. and a waiter quickly brought us the menus and then our drinks. When we wanted to order food shortly after 7 p.m., we were always held back. 'I'm coming straight away, I'll be with you in a moment', more drinks came when called out. When the waiter finally came to us (9:05 p.m.) and we wanted to order food, he replied that the kitchen had closed at 9:00 p.m. After an indignant and factual complaint, we received a large salad plate with cheese and tomatoes from the refrigerator. We paid and left the restaurant with the poor service, never again. In October 2024 I went on vacation to Warnemünde again with my wife and we wanted to give this restaurant another chance by having a nightcap in the outdoor seating area by the cozy fire at 7:30 p.m. When we wanted to sit down, an employee came over and refused us a seat, rudely telling us to sit in the outdoor seating area with heaters. We replied that we would like to sit by the fire, whereupon she refused to let us and put out the fire. For us this restaurant died because of unfriendly service. This means that we cannot rate the ambience and the food, which other guests have rated as positive.

Wir waren dort nicht zum Essen sondern nur in dem Außenbereich direkt unten am Alten Strom. Heizstrahler ( im Oktober), freundliche Bedienung, leckeres Bier (Hafenliebe). Was will man mehr.

The food is just really good. You can enjoy the food you want quickly and hot and the staff is very friendly. We stopped in for dinner twice in 3 days. The atmosphere is cozy and fortunately there is a winter garden so that many guests can benefit from it. And dog friendly 🐾🐾

PART 1 On July 9th, 2024 my girlfriend and I went to the restaurant. We just ordered two cups of coffee and still water and stayed outside. I have to say I have always visited this restaurant, always liked the atmosphere and the food of course. I've been there a lot with my husband over the last year. We go there very often to eat and drink. He always likes to go there. We usually order two main courses with fish and meat, order drinks: as well as prosecco and wine and often dessert is added. You can easily calculate and estimate what the final sum will be. Normally we have a bill of 70 to 120 euros WITHOUT a tip, which we are always happy to pay… There is a woman who is always present there (unfortunately I don't know what position she has there). I saw her for many years and she was never friendly or nice... It never bothered me because I always communicate with the waiters, but until last night... The owners/managers/administrators greet guests the most because that's normal. That's how it should be. Here in the restaurant the cellars are very nice, but this lady is unfriendly, she stands there like a statue, absolutely speechless with no emotions, like a security guard... As I said, I don't know her position/status. She looks everywhere in every corner, from the first glance you feel something negative if you watch her for a long time. My husband and I, no one pays attention to us because we always speak to each other in German. (yes, I am a foreigner - I work and live in Rostock) Last night I was out with my girlfriend, who speaks Russian just like me, we both chatted like the other. BUT of course, we always try to be as quiet as possible so as not to irritate other people, because I think that's polite. After what happened, I thought for a long time what was wrong with this woman, why she was so angry and harsh with us: Just because we ordered coffee or because we DIDN'T speak in German?!!... So...back to the story, we paid and instead of immediately getting up and leaving, we chatted for a quick 7-10 minutes. That was so exciting, I wanted to tell my girlfriend something at the end... And then suddenly the unfriendly employee comes: Without hello, good evening... Start like this: "When are you both going to leave?" I didn't understand the question immediately. Especially since the restaurant was half empty and there was no one inside. There were more people sitting outside, but there were empty tables next to us. I would understand if it was full...But it wasn't. In that case I would simply walk away without discussing it. Then it continues, I say: - “yes, everything is fine, we were distracted for a moment, we’ll go straight away” and smile. She stands opposite me so evilly, with an arrogant look, as if we were some subhumans... He continues to say to us: “No, please get up now and leave the restaurant immediately, I understand Russian…” came at the end. What does this have to do with my native language, I asked? There was no answer. Even if she overheard our conversation, then she would have learned something about my life. (Part two can be found below) there is not enough space here.

Part 2 Oh God,... (I even find that disgusting, standing and listening to what it's about) But well, not all people are well behaved, not all have good manners. That was shocking because she actually stood next to us like she didn't believe we were going to leave now. Can anyone imagine that? Incredible. I'm at a loss for words, how can you treat people like that? Especially with the regular customers who regularly leave money there, all the employees, their wages, which YOU and I, all of us, leave there... They live off guests!... You can at least be friendly and speak politely. Or?... My friend asked: “Are you feeling as bad as I am now”? – “Yes,” I said, “because that was humiliating.” The mood and evening were ruined, the people sitting next to us naturally looked at us strangely, as if we were criminals. That’s exactly what you get at the end as a “Thank you for visiting”! This is really a good example where the wrong employee used simply destroys the business and ruins the reputation. Of course I have that, I already tell it at work and I will continue to tell it in my area... Rostock is a small town, the information goes on quickly here... Absolutely outrageous! Racist! I regret spending so many days there. I will never go there again. I do NOT recommend this restaurant! P.S.: I have been living in Germany since 2016 and I have never experienced anything like this. Absolutely outrageous! My German is not perfect, but I hope you will understand the text.

The Hafenliebe restaurant is very cozy and lovingly designed. The food was very tasty, I recommend the exceptional fries and the baby leaf salad. Nice and quick service. The blankets and heat lamps are a big plus. I can only recommend it to you.

The food is really exceptionally good. The lady from the service tries her best, but is completely overwhelmed because she apparently has to cover the whole store alone. The atmosphere is very appealing and it is really super clean. The prices are probably in the upper segment. But it's completely worth it!

We experienced great service at this restaurant. Extreme efforts were made when making the reservation. From ordering to payment we were looked after very well and warmly. We haven't been treated so kindly and actively in a long time. The food and drinks were a hit. It doesn't get any better. Everything was perfect all around. Thanks for that! ☺️

Cozy location. Nice and courteous service. The food was very attractively prepared and was very tasty. Drinks and food came quite quickly after ordering. It was a very cozy evening. Price-performance is absolutely reasonable.

I went for a walk on the beach today and of course I was hungry. When I walked past the restaurant, I was immediately struck by its appearance. So I went in and was warmly welcomed. When I asked if I was allowed in with my dog, the answer was yes and I was taken to a table. The menu has a sufficient selection of dishes, not too much and not too little. After ordering, the food was served quite quickly, which was certainly because it wasn't that crowded today. The weather was very gray and rainy. The food was very tasty, both the fish and the dessert. You were asked if everything was okay. So they looked after their guests, which I found very nice (that's not common anymore). All in all I felt very comfortable and in good hands, the food was top and the atmosphere was very pleasant. If I'm in Warnemünde again, I'll definitely eat there again.

My favorite in Warnemünde. I was there alone and in company several times. The food is outstanding given that places here might be tourist traps. I love the tartare, the steaks, and, omg- the Kaiserschmarrn. Way to go, team! We will be back :-)

We stopped there because it was raining heavily, the food was delicious and definitely worth 5 stars, we sat on the quay and since it was getting cold the heaters were used, the service at our table definitely went above and beyond Deserved 5 stars, very nice, very polite and always with a smile on our face, we would love to come back

A really great restaurant with a nice feel-good atmosphere. A very big compliment goes to the Christian who served us. It's been a long time since I had such great service as this gentleman. Plus the very good dishes and drinks. All in all, a very good restaurant.

We wanted to eat there spontaneously, which was also possible. The food is really very good (a big shout out to the kitchen) but the service isn't necessarily great. We were there with our little one, after asking for the third time whether the restaurant could bring a child's chair, the waitress "woke up" and apologized with excuses as to why she hadn't managed it yet (even though we had already entered the restaurant with our child). , we ordered drinks with a child, we ordered food with a child, the food arrived with a child). She probably just overlooked it when lighting the candle on the neighboring table... Sarcasm from... Conclusion: If you don't have children, you're in good hands there, for everyone else we recommend moving on.

We were there for dinner with several people. The location is right at the harbor. The food was great. Whether burger or steak, king prawns or chicken karaage. Everything really tasty. Price-performance is appropriate for the harbor ambience and location. Staff was very friendly and competent.

We ended the evening there every evening of our vacation. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back!

Wir haben nur einen kurzen Stopp ( Getränke ) im Restaurant Hafenliebe gemacht. Sehr hübsch und schick eingerichteter Innenraum , Aussengastronomie und direkt an der Promenade. Freundliche Bedienung. Wir bestellten einen Baileys Coffee und einen Pott Kaffee. Was mich dazu veranlasst nur drei Sterne zu geben. Der Baileys Caffee war lecker aber sorry, keine 9€ wert! Auch nicht irgendwie besonders aufgemacht oder so. Kein Keks dazu, nix. Ebenso der „Pott Kaffee“ für 4,70€ der im Grunde nur ein normaler Kaffeebecher war. Und klar, wir hätten das nicht bestellen müssen. Keine Frage. Wir waren aufgrund des Wetter durchgefroren und durchnässt und na ja, wollten einfach nur was warmes trinken. Großer Fehler. An der Ostsee ist es teuer geworden, das haben wir schon bemerkt und im Urlaub schauen wir nicht unbedingt auf den Euro. Aber das was wir bekommen haben, war völlig überteuert um nicht zu sagen unverschämt. Meine Meinung.

The HafenLiebe in Warnemünde is a great place for a pleasant nightcap. The atmosphere was really nice and the view of the harbor was simply fantastic. Unfortunately, as soon as we sat down, we were told that there was only the last round left, which dampened the mood a bit. Nevertheless, our visit was overall very pleasant, and the location itself is really great. A nice place to end the evening.

09/07/2024. Warnemünde is overcrowded. Nevertheless, the staff is confident from morning to night, regardless of whether there are small children, dogs or tourists blocking the way. Drinks and food come quickly and are very good. Okay, the prices, like almost everywhere, should not be underestimated 😕. Nevertheless, always happy 😊

Went there spontaneously for a Hugo. When Hugo came, I thought I had a visual impairment!!! Two fingers up, the contents, with 4 ice cubes!! And then asking for €11 is almost criminal!!! When we pointed this out to the waiter, he said he was just the waiter. In any case, we won't be going there again!!!!

Wir waren spontan Essen, haben vorher gefragt ob es okay ist mit einem Kinderwagen drinnen zu sitzen. Als ich auf der Treppe war mit dem Wagen, hat sich eine Kellnerin vorbei gedrängt und gemeint ich sollte Platz machen. Drinnen wurden wir abseits hingesetzt in einen grellen Roten Licht. Das Essen für die Kinder wurde schnell gebracht und war gut, genauso unser Essen. Unsere Getränke waren leer, wurden auch nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Beim Bezahlen mussten wir warten, die Kellnerin musste erzählen mit einem Kollegen. Ich fand es Recht teuer für 2 Burger, 3 Kinderessen und Getränke 80€

We were there spontaneously with our kids today. After we asked about the stroller, we went in. As I was on the stairs, a waitress pushed past and told me to make room. It also works with a stroller. We sat on a side of the restaurant where there were no other guests. All new ones were put on the other side. The drinks came quickly, the food was delicious. When the glasses were empty, no one asked if they could have anything. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait because the waitress was talking to her colleague. It was good but the red lights weren't great.

We got a lovely spot on the terrace, which is beautiful and overlooks the marina. Beer was great. Bring cash if your bill is below 20€. We had only card and were very grateful to the staff for being accommodating.

Super bad service, the employee even wanted to ask for her tip. Strangers were simply sat at our table without asking us. The food tasted warmed up and bland. There wasn't even honey with tea. Never again.

We were there once and said never again. Other vacationers have already told me about it. Tables dirty. It sticks to the tabletop. Waiters very rude, they don't know friendliness. We didn't want to believe it at first. But it's true. The benches outside are dirty. That's why we prefer to go to other restaurants. We are treated like guests there

I was very disappointed here today. I actually just wanted a Mojito, but not with 3-year-old Havana but with 7-year-old. Unfortunately this wasn't possible even though they have the 7 year old. But you can only mix this into a Cuba-Libre. I have no understanding for that. My friends' waitress was anything but friendly. She only wanted to give change after repeated requests. This has nothing to do with service!

A restaurant where it's worth eating out. The food is beautifully prepared and tastes great. The ingredients, individually and together, are a poem. The waiting time isn't too long and the staff is friendly. In terms of quality, I would say very good to excellent. Clear recommendation in Warnemünde. Restaurant mag zwar nett sein, aber leider ist das männliche Personal doch eher unter Durchschnitt. Zuerst werden einem die Nudeln mit vegetarischer Gemüsebolognese als vegan verkauft. Dies mit einer Inbrunst und einem Selbstbewusstsein, dass man doch etwas zurückschreckte, da auch der Tonfall etwas sehr schroff wurde. Gut, da er sagte, es wäre vegan, bestellten wir es um kurze Zeit später dann von ihm doch zu hören, die Bolognese wäre nicht vegan, der Rest aber. Also die Nudeln. Also nur die Nudeln mit Ketchup. Vegan. Das Essen kam, die Nudeln waren? Mit Ei. Also nicht vegan. Den Kellner darauf hingewiesen, dass die Nudeln mit Ei wären und somit nicht vegan und dementsprechend auch nicht das bestellte Essen, wurde er erneut pampig und meinte, ER würde immer Nudel mit Ei einkaufen. Was er denn jetzt mit dem Essen machen solle, die wäre ja jetzt serviert. Mitnehmen, was sonst. Am Ende waren wir dann doch recht froh, das Restaurant wieder zu verlassen, bei den Preisen wären fachkundigere Bedienungen doch angebracht. Vor allem, wenn ein Koch am Tisch sitzt und dies anfangs schmunzelnd bis verärgert am Ende wahrnimmt. War leider nichts, bitte vielleicht Karte und Warenkunde auch ans Personal weitergeben. Plus Höflichkeit.

I was there with my sister every evening for a week at the end of July and had a really delicious meal. Added to this is the comfort and of course the always very friendly staff, despite the stress. I'm already looking forward to October, I'll be there again for a week.

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. When I asked whether it would be possible to get vegan pasta for my daughter, the waitress was adamant and unfriendly and claimed that the vegetarian Bolognese was vegan. (even though it was declared vegetarian) After I asked to ask in the kitchen, they discovered that the sauce was made with butter. After that we just ordered pasta without sauce. When they came they discovered that they were egg noodles and pointed out that we couldn't eat these noodles. Instead of reacting in a friendly manner, they responded rudely and claimed that you could only buy pasta with eggs. There was no understanding at all and they were even urged not to take the pasta back because it had already been cooked. There was no goodbye or nice evening either. I have never experienced such an unfriendly service person in my life. He managed to make you feel really unwelcome. If you don't want people with intolerances or a vegan diet in your restaurant, it's better not to advertise a vegan dish on the menu. It was also very expensive. That was the first and last time we ate something here.

Schlimmste Erfahrung im Restaurant die ich jemals gemacht habe. Auf mein Nachfragen ob es möglich wäre vegane Nudeln für meine Tochter zu bekommen hat die Bedienung erst felsenfest und unfreundlich behauptet die vegetarische Bolognese ist vegan und danach denn doch festgestellt das die Soße mit Butter ist. Danach haben wir einfach Nudeln ohne Soße bestellt. Als die kamen festgestellt das es Eiernudeln sind und darauf aufmerksam gemacht dass wir diese Nudeln nicht essen können. Anstatt freundlich zu reagieren wurde wieder patzig geantwortet und behauptet das es nur Nudeln mit Ei zu kaufen gibt. Keinerlei Verständnis bekommen und es wurde sogar noch dazu gedrängt das sie die Nudeln nicht zurück nehmen wollen weil die ja schon gekocht wurden. Ein Tschüss oder schönen Abend kam auch nicht. So eine unfreundliche Servicekraft habe ich noch nie in meinem Leben erlebt. Er hat es geschafft einen richtigen unwilkommen fühlen zu lassen. Sehr teuer war es auch noch. Das war das erste und das letzte Mal das wir hier etwas gegessen haben.

Hello, we were there and arrived with 7 people, including two small children. Space was made, very friendly, fast service and after an hour we were ready again. Sometimes it's such a thing with small children... But all we can say is... Nice, super tasty and quick.

Yesterday the 3 of us had dinner at the hafenliebe restaurant. The food tasted good but unfortunately the portions were too small for the prices! Our daughter was given pencils to paint with, but unfortunately they were completely blunt and so painting was not possible! The service was very unfriendly when paying when the card reader didn't work! And then said, we should please pay in cash! She wouldn't have any time now! I think €95 for 3 people, who each had a drink and a main course and 2 starters, is very expensive! And then you somehow had the feeling of quick processing like in a snack bar! A real shame!

Actually a very nice place. Unfortunately the gentleman who served us was very unfriendly. It's not a bad thing to accidentally serve something incorrectly, but you should handle it professionally. The drink we actually ordered was only exchanged and served with reluctance. The food looked delicious too. The taste was good too. Unfortunately it wasn't very warm and in some cases it was already cold. The price is disproportionate to the portion. The side dishes were also very overpriced. At the end, the waiter was so “friendly and refused to give us a tip that was certainly appropriate.” No thank you, no goodbye.

Unfortunately, the public toilets are closed at 5:30 p.m. during the week. My 4 year old son had to do both and they would have liked to pay for it but the boss personally didn't allow it.

Nice restaurant, despite its size it can sometimes be a bit overcrowded, which unfortunately also affects the availability of the service. There is a fantastic selection of (at least perceived) dishes with regional products such as a variety of fish, but also burgers with, for example, Uckermark beef and a great selection of wines. Unfortunately, there were only a limited number of requested dessert options on a normal Saturday evening.

The food wasn't worth the money. Will not visit the restaurant again.

Great restaurant. If you are in Warnemünde, this should be a MUST. The menu is clear but there is something for every taste. The atmosphere is very nice and clean. The service is good and the staff is very friendly.

The chicken karaage was so extremely delicious! I'm excited! Warm, spicy and super seasoned! We would love to come back on our next vacation 👌🏻 The service was also very friendly and in a good mood.

We took a little coffee break in Hafenliebe. The atmosphere right on the quay and the service were great. This was only topped by the tastiest Kaiserschmarn that I have had the pleasure of enjoying so far.😋😋 Mega delicious - a visit to Hafenliebe will be a “must” on your Baltic Sea vacation in the future.😊

Very good food. Prices according to Warnemünde. Unfortunately the portions are not very large. Ambience highly recommended, cozy and stylish. You should definitely visit the toilets - men and women have a washing line with a view of the street :-) There are places in front of the restaurant with a view of the water or the canal.

The incredibly unfriendly reception should have made us sit up and take notice! What was then offered as food defies all descriptions. Large Caesar salad with strips of flank steak for an impressive €21.50! Shock wears off... at first we thought it was a side dish. Mini burgers are offered without potato chips or fries… which is actually standard in every good burger shop! This restaurant is absolutely overrated in terms of price and performance! Just stay away.

We became aware of the restaurant spontaneously. What an unexpected stroke of luck! Every guest has found something for their different preferences. The location and the ambience were harmonious. The high prices are appropriate for the location but also for the quality of the food. So it's not a tourist trap. The service was friendly, quick and attentive. We were particularly pleased with the selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. I had vegan chicken terijaki, which tasted incredibly delicious. If you want to treat yourself to something more than a fish sandwich on your hand, you've come to the right place.

The view is just fantastic and great for people watching. You can have a very good time here

I sat outside. The food tastes quite good. Unfortunately, the mojito didn't taste that good and the "fresh" mint was past its prime. Rotten leaf areas floated around. Unfortunately, the service seemed very stressed and uninviting. This didn't make me feel very welcome as a guest. The tip was accepted without comment. I wouldn't visit again now.

Due to the unfortunately closed public toilets in the immediate vicinity, we "dared" (!) to ask the staff (politely and with a euro visible in their hand) and to allow us to use the toilet. Unfortunately we were not allowed to do this. Instead, they referred to a toilet location a little further away. Of course, this wasn't a solution for older people. Service definitely looks different.

Always happy... Because the food is great and worth every cent! Cool location and always nice staff!
