A restaurant where you can enjoy rustic food that's very close to Bohemian cuisine. The service was truly courteous and attentive, and open to small talk. The world-famous beer, of course, is a must with Bohemian food.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio doesn't match here. Goulash consists of five pieces of meat and four thin slices of dumplings. Super tasty, tender, but who's supposed to get half-full from that? Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed.

The Wenzel Restaurant on the old river is truly a beautiful place to dine. Especially in summer, the outdoor seating is fantastic and you can enjoy the view of the hustle and bustle. The food and drinks are consistently delicious – you definitely have to try the knuckle of pork! Children are also well looked after, and the friendly and attentive service ensures that everyone feels completely at home. We'll definitely be back! ☺️

Update 2025 The goulash has now become a small portion for 20 euros without any other side dishes. So 5 pieces of meat and 4 slices of dumplings............2024 That's super standard. Super because you can rely on the quality. So great. 1 floor with a view inside or on the terrace. There is an escalator to the top! Nice service and we had the beer goulash, very tasty as you would expect. And as always, a good selection of beers. Thank you. The price is still ok. Cabbage used to be part of the dish, but now you have to order it separately. Update: Beef goulash and roulade are highly recommended. Unfortunately, the prices have continued to rise and the service is not always up to scratch. I would have liked to have had another beer with my meal.

Great Czech restaurant with good food at reasonable prices and a fantastic view of the bridge. There are two floors: the ground floor is also accessible for people with disabilities. There's an escalator to the first floor...but I wonder how people with disabilities are supposed to manage all those steps? 🤔

A clear menu, delicious beers, a wonderfully friendly waiter, and a balcony seat in the evening sun...you can't ask for more!

Hey, After a lovely morning and afternoon at Karls' strawberry farm, I made a detour to Warnemünde. This time I also managed to stop at Wenzel's. Friendly and welcoming staff. The food also had a view of the Alter Strom. It was delicious again 😋. # Wenzel Boltenhagen, Dresden, Halle Warnemünde

We loved the Wenzel in Warnemünde. That changed today. We made a dinner reservation. This reservation was confirmed and canceled shortly afterwards without explanation. We then simply walked into the restaurant to find a sufficient number of available tables. BUT - a sign asked us to wait until we were seated. The young lady behind the counter referred us to a colleague who would be arriving. The colleague who arrived referred us to a colleague who would be arriving. Conclusion - guests are no longer welcome at the Wenzel; we will now eat at the Kettenkasten.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The small Bohemian smoked knuckle – a joke for €21.00. The dumplings and the sauce tasted of nothing. The knuckle was also tasteless, not to mention the lack of any smoky flavor. Only the sauerkraut was good.

Potatoes undercooked Brussels sprouts still hard

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. The pork schnitzel was okay, but the sauce that came with it had a strange taste, as did the accompanying Brussels sprouts. The latter were also very hard. Then came the so-called Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancake). It was cut into large square slices and wasn't cooked through. It even gave me stomach problems. The service was also bad, unfortunately. The waiter spilled some of the food on the floor while serving. He took the plate back, but the spill stayed. No one cleaned it up, even though another guest slipped on it and almost fell.

Not the way it used to be. It was supposed to be a nice end to the holiday and the disappointment was huge. We went there often and since last year I no longer considered it to be anything special. The price-performance ratio is no longer right and I find the food to be presented without love and boring. As a holder of a loyalty card, I had to endure rather arrogant and condescending lectures from the service staff. That is definitely the wrong way to ensure a pleasant experience for guests. You should also make an effort with the locals because it is not always the season🤔. I find it very negative when you have to wait 25 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant just to be asked for a drink. I had already wondered why the arrogant waiter clears the empty tables first instead of getting drinks to the new guests and maybe even selling a second drink. Sales don't seem to be an incentive. My 0.5-liter Alster beer was beyond awful. I can't say why it tasted so bad, and honestly, no thanks to that arrogant waiter again. Whatever, I won't be going back to Wenzels anytime soon, and they won't be giving away gift vouchers either. There are other restaurants for this price range. There's too much room for improvement here.

We wanted a bite to eat around 9:15 PM, and when we arrived, we were told that wouldn't be a problem. We could choose a table outside on the "balcony." A portly waiter then came to our table to ask what we wanted. We explained that we wanted a drink, but also something to eat. This was met with a sigh 🤔. When we explained that someone else had said we could, we were told that "no one was home." We were asked if we had already made a choice of food, and explained that we hadn't looked at the menu yet. When we wanted a beer, we were asked what kind of beer they had. Since we had just sat down, we hadn't seen what they had. When we asked what kind of beer they had, we were told "lots" 🤷. When asked what a good beer was, the answer was "I don't drink beer." We should have left at that point, but alas... we stayed. After our drinks were brought, we ordered our food right away. Our food was brought by a different waitress who practically slammed it onto the table, barely looking at us, and still managed to enjoy a delicious meal. We had a flammkuche and a schnitzel with potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The flammkuche was good (you can't really mess it up here), but the potatoes and Brussels sprouts were undercooked and still hard. Not tasty... That really spoiled our pleasant evening. Then another waitress came (with a piercing, two-tone hair, and a unique hairstyle) who realized we weren't satisfied. She was really sweet and polite. She was genuinely upset that we'd been treated that way. She even offered to pay for only half the meal, but we didn't want to. She also didn't understand her colleague, since the restaurant is open until 10:30 PM. She felt really bad for us, and she made up for her colleague's behavior with her sincere apologies. Her colleagues can learn a lot from her, and she deserves 5 stars!!! All in all, our nice evening was quite spoiled by this experience and we will never come here again!

What struck me this time was that there was very little meat on the beer goulash. Next time, please add a few more pieces (see attached picture). Beautifully located in Warnemünde harbor with a view of the harbor. We had roast and tarte flambée with salmon, both of which were very well prepared. The server was attentive and friendly.

Very expensive for small appetizer portions. Paying around €8 for just a portion of fries or a soda is pretty steep. But at least it tastes good. If you show up without a table reservation, you're out of luck. Even though many tables are marked "reserved," no one shows up. I've noticed this several times. Probably due to a lack of staff. It's better to communicate this openly and honestly than to make excuses like this.

The first time, and the impression was, well, the food is good, what can you say about speed and service? Well, if you have time, you can hurry, everything could be better.

In my opinion, unusually bad for Czech restaurants. 1st visit: A dish of fried salmon fillet on roasted vegetables with sour cream. The roasted vegetables consisted of 80% onions. (No joke) 2nd visit: June 18, 2025 - approx. 6:00 p.m.: - Terrace closed due to strong winds (wind speed 14 km/h, bright sunshine) - No Staropramen light beer available - Dish: Beer goulash - I ordered one more slice of dumpling. They also got one more slice, but all the slices were very small and extra thin. Compared to the person sitting next to me, it was a provocation for me. It's getting two stars instead of one because at least the service was still friendly.

We celebrated our wedding there. After consulting with the restaurant management, we were given a private room with a terrace overlooking the Alter Strom. Our guests had free choice of food and drinks. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our service was excellent.

Unfortunately, it's no longer possible to reserve a table here after 7 p.m. We were at a large event in Warnemünde over the weekend, and the restaurant was unable to accommodate us for two consecutive days. What a shame...

Yes, you can do it, but you don't have to. We just wanted a drink, and even that took 10 minutes to get to us, even though it wasn't busy, and then another 10 minutes for four drinks. The waiter also wanted to be funny, but he should have left it alone; it was very unpleasant.

It's simply beautiful. It's super tasty and the service is very friendly. I'd love to come back soon. And get the Wenzels card. You get one meal free if it's your birthday.

It's getting worse and worse. The food comes out of a bag. The service is irritated, the tables are dirty. The food is half cold. Not recommended.

A visit to Wenzel's is a must for every vacation. Delicious food and great Czech beer. Always delicious. Friendly service is also part of the Wenzel experience. The customer card is highly recommended. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll also have a great view of the Old Stream.

I actually come here several times a year and always eat beef goulash. This time, I noticed a price increase compared to the price on the website menu (€20.64) and our bill (€21.58). The portion was so small, I honestly counted five pieces of beef. The dumplings were also considerably thinner than usual. So, for the first time, I left the restaurant feeling truly unsatiated, and I'll consider whether to return.

A very nice place. If you want to drink fine beer, this is a must. The food is only moderately recommended. Too expensive for little food. The dumplings aren't homemade, and you can only taste the beer goulash. We're used to different things from the Czech Republic. It's like a Greek restaurant. No matter where you go, the food is the same everywhere, and it tastes the same, too.

If you like hearty food at reasonable prices, this is the place for you.

The dumpling fries are a must-try. The burger was also delicious, but the dumplings themselves were unfortunately a bit dry and the sauce quite cold.

Wenzel Warnemünde ...delicious food, fast and friendly service, and a humorous atmosphere make this restaurant a pleasure to visit.

We've been to the Wenzel Warnemünde many times... sometimes with and sometimes without reservations, and we've been very satisfied every time. Yesterday again... this time with dear AIDA friends from Halle, Westfalen. This time I personally reserved a table for four by the window with a fantastic view of the water. I highly recommend the Wenzel Warnemünde in every respect... from the ambiance to the delicious food and the extremely friendly service. We've ALWAYS felt very comfortable and will be happy to come back again 🤩

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. The portions, especially for the goulash, are far too small. Charging 21 euros for 3-4 small pieces of meat + a few slices of pre-made dumplings is an outrage. The drinks are also too expensive. Charging 6.67 euros for a 0.4 l KiBa is not possible. Even the 0.5l beer costs 6.65 euros. For 2 meals and 2 drinks 58 euros is crazy. We know the staff themselves can't help it, but we won't go there again and can't recommend it either. Sorry.

32€ for a schnitzel - put 6! If the restaurant was empty, it can stay that way! As to whether we still ate the schnitzel, I would like to say this Bejan because I can't respond to the answer any differently. The schnitzel dish was eaten twice, as well as goulash and knuckle once. Food was ok, but still not worth the price, hence the rating. The competition on the opposite side can do this better, even at a better price.

Beer goulash was good, dumplings were cold and dry. Absolutely not! The staff are nice.

When you enter the restaurant and are reminded that you haven't greeted the easily overlooked lady behind the counter, it's a bit odd. It's even more bizarre when the waiter doesn't return your greeting. They might even make you wait a bit longer to take your order. The dark beer and the great seating upstairs more than made up for it.

I visited this restaurant yesterday for the first and last time. We waited 1.5 hours for our food and received the wrong order. We weren't offered any excuses other than a drink or dessert from the house. We were simply offered to eat what was brought. When I asked why it took so long, given that the other guests, who arrived much later than us, had already finished their main courses, the waiter replied, "What can I do? Why are you asking me these questions? All questions go to the kitchen." I was speechless.

It WAS our favorite restaurant! Dear management, we just had dinner with you. We have enjoyed eating there very often since 2019. It's okay that the dishes became more expensive. We have noticed that the portions are smaller since 2021. However, today it was an absolute joke! The meat of the Svicova was almost as big as wow the orange slice on it. An absolute disgrace at such a high price! The women's toilet is completely battered, There is no light, so you can only relieve yourself with a flashlight. Your poor staff has to bear all the displeasure, so kudos to the people on site who are trying to save what can be saved.

It could be so nice if it weren't for the bitchy, very annoyed waitress with the half-shaven head...

Nice place to enjoy a family dinner. Went to Wenzel with a couple of friends for dinner on quite a busy night. The lady at the reception was super friendly! Drinks arrived fast. However, it took quite some time (approx. 45min) to order and get our food. I assume it would be a little faster when there’s less customers. They have one main vegan option on the menu, which is the vegan burger with normal fries. The taste was ok, nothing special. Same for the other food items my friends ordered. The elderberry lime lemonade was a little bland. We were all quite disappointed with the portion sizes though. I paid around 28€ for the burger and one lemonade. The quality of the food did not make up for the lack of quantity on my plate. If the portions were bigger I’d possibly give 4 stars.

Today I had dinner with colleagues in Wenzel (Warnemünde). It was a nice evening, the ambience and service were good. However, points are deducted when eating. A colleague and I ordered beer goulash and were disappointed. 5 small pieces of meat with sauce and 4 (not really big) slices of dumplings on the plate. The taste and portion size in no way justified the price of around 21 euros for a meal.

I was there on February 22nd. eat there. The meals were good. However, a young male waiter had a severe body odor problem. That wasn't just fresh sweat, but clearly a fundamental hygiene issue. It's a shame, because the man was otherwise friendly and helpful.

This is the second time we have been there and we are once again very satisfied. The food was very tasty and the service was also great. I planned a surprise for my family in the restaurant and received the best support from the Wenzel Restaurant team. The surprise was a complete success. Thank you.

I would like to give no stars at all. Went there for a beer in the evening - the place was almost empty. Conditions (4 people +-) stands relaxed at the counter. No order. After I went to the counter to order after a while, nothing came... Then we left, no one was interested. It's a shame that a brewery fails because of just two beers. Never again, rarely have I been served worse... And at such amazing prices.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. The staff was friendly. The food was very good. We were completely satisfied. We have been there several times. Since it is very busy, a reservation is necessary. Top address. We would be happy to come back .

Das „Wenzel „ in Warnemünde hatte ich eigentlich in guter Erinnerung , aber wenn man die heutigen „ Bedienkräfte „ schon oben am Tresen stehen sieht , potenzielle Kundschaft erwartend , um denen mitzuteilen das bereits einige Gäste anwesend sind und es somit eine längere Zeit dauern würde um ein Bier zu servieren , statt sich zu freuen das man als Gast den Weg ins Lokal gefunden hat , dann , ja dann ist es wohl besser gleich wieder , allerdings gefrustet , den Rückzug anzutreten . Also meine Einschätzung - dieses Restaurant sollte man eher meiden !!! Vielleicht schafft solch ein „Kellner „ es ja die Gäste gänzlich zu vertreiben - dann hat er endlich etwas mehr Zeit sich zu entspannen ! Aber ums Lokal wäre es wohl schade 🥸🙄

I can recommend! Fast friendly service and good food. What more do you want. Price performance absolutely fair. Small downside, the very good homemade lemonade is a bit too expensive for me at almost 7 euros. But we'd love to come back.

We were very disappointed. The food was okay but really not justified for the price. The taste was okay but very carelessly prepared and absolutely poorly seasoned. We ate a lot better for less money. The service didn't even look at us when taking the order or serving us. We weren't convinced.

Wonderful place to relax with delicious food on a holiday evening... and because it was so beautiful all around, we spent two evenings there. Menu: varied Drinks offer: good Quality and price/performance: top Service: top Gladly again.

Have been here at Wenzel's several times and have never had anything to complain about. I ordered my favorite beer goulash today and was disappointed. The quantity of goulash and sauce wasn't even half that of 2 months ago. Maybe 50g. Meat and hardly any sauce. The taste was very good but far too little for 20 euros. Was a little disappointed.

We had dinner with 6 people on January 26th. We had a reservation for 4 and happened to be 2 more people. We were immediately greeted with the words that the larger table was reserved 2 hours later and we couldn't stay any longer. Strange with 4 men we could have stayed. Unfortunately, on the information board at the entrance it said "no chilled beer today" - ok, it can happen that a cooling system breaks down and a mechanic can't be called in quickly on a Sunday. We each ordered a beer and cooled it down with an ice cube - not the best choice but ok, after we each had a beer we were told that there was no more beer and that it wasn't running due to the temperature. Also understandable, but there wasn't even a bottled beer except non-alcoholic, of course. And that at a BEER bar. The food was ok, but only ok. Probably everything pre-made in portion sachets and warmed up. Dumplings lukewarm and the whole plate not really lovingly prepared. No matter whether it was beer/beef/or deer goulash – it all looked the same. We didn't really feel that we had any understanding, especially when it came to the technical glitch with the beer. There was only a half-hearted “that’s just how it is” and of course we paid in full for the three rounds of slivovice. I think the waitress was happy that we left (not as a person) but as a guest. Our family origins come from Bratislava and we wanted to commemorate grandma and grandpa. Unfortunately it didn't quite work out that way. Next time we'll make our own family goulash and sit in the garden.

Found by chance. Amazingly delicious food, highly recommended. Very nice staff. Rooms to feel good. Prices were in the green. We were there two days in a row and rolled to the hotel. We were so full that we went straight to bed in the hotel.

We were at Wenzel for dinner with three people on January 29th, 2025 at around 5:00 p.m. The restaurant was not very busy and we were able to choose a table. We ordered a children's portion for the grandson and two "deer goulash". The children's portion for €6.50 looked good and tasted very good too. The problem was the goulash. The portions were very clearly arranged on large plates. As counted, there were nine pieces of meat per serving on the plates. Four of these pieces of meat were very stringy on one plate and three on the second plate. So they had nothing at all in common with the term “fine goulash”. But there was a lot of sauce on the plate. However, both meat and sauce lacked the typical gamey taste. But that could also have been because both portions were only served lukewarm. It just didn't taste good. The dumplings were good, but only lukewarm. The whole thing for €24.90 per serving. A complaint to the waiter was ignored at all and shrugged off. What I don't understand is that the restaurant offers such poor quality when there is so little activity. I think you can have a good beer there, but next time I'll be very cautious about the food.

Wir waren am 29.01.2025 um ca. 17:00Uhr mit drei Personen zum Essen im Wenzel. Das Lokal war wenig besetzt und wir konnten uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Wir bestellten uns eine Kinderportion für den Enkel und zweimal "Hirschedelgulasch". Die Kinderportion für 6,50€ sah gut aus und schmeckte auch sehr gut. Das Problem war das Gulasch. Die Portionen waren sehr übersichtlich auf großen Tellern angerichtet. Auf den Tellern waren, wie abgezählt, pro Portion neun Stückchen Fleisch. Von diesen Fleischstückchen waren auf einem Teller vier und auf dem zweiten Teller drei Stückchen sehr sehnig. Hatten also überhaupt nichts mit dem Begriff "Edelgulasch" gemeinsam. Dafür war aber sehr viel Sauce auf dem Teller. Bei beidem, Fleisch und Sauce fehlte allerdings der typische Wildgeschmack. Das kann aber auch daran gelegen haben, dass beide Portionen nur lauwarm serviert wurden. Es schmeckte einfach nicht. Die Knödel waren gut, allerdings auch nur lauwarm. Das Ganze für 24,90€ pro Portion. Eine Reklamation bei dem Kellner wurde überhaupt nicht beachtet und mit einem Schulterzucken abgetan. Was ich nicht verstehe ist, das bei so wenig Betrieb in der Gaststätte solch schlechte Qualität angeboten wird. Ich denke mal, man kann dort gut ein Bier trinken aber mit dem Essen werde ich das nächste Mal sehr zurückhaltend sein.
