Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und aufmerksam und die Sicht ist super. Was leider gar nicht geht, ist Zutaten einer Pizza auf der Speisekarte zu nennen und sie dann nicht auf die Pizza zu packen. Wenn Garnelen und Peporoncini auf der Karte stehen, erwarte ich, dass Garnelen und Peporoncini auf meiner Pizza sind. Bei nur zwei Zutaten umso ärgerlicher.

Die Lage ist super am Weststrand gelegen. Leider war das auch alles - unsere beiden Fischgerichte waren versalzen und viel zu lange gebraten - die Kritik wurde ignoriert. Genau so müsse es sein - unser Heschmack war es nicht

Man sitzt schön, das wars dann aber auch. Die Pizza schmeckte fad. Kein Salz dran? Auf der einen Pizza fehlten die Pepperoncini, die auf der Karte standen. Auf Nachfrage gab es die Information es sei Pepperonciniöl gemeint. Das haben wir aber auch nicht geschmeckt. Seife auf dem Klo war leer. Personal freundlich, aber nicht so richtig aufmerksam. Alles in Allem nur gerade so okay.

Essen war sehr gut, Geschmack und Menge betrachtet. Die Temperatur hätte etwas höher sein können, heiß war mein Essen nicht. Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Ambiente sehr angenehm… der direkte Blick auf das Meer natürlich unbezahlbar. 🤩

Schon öfter in den letzten Jahren in der Giftbude auf Norderney gewesen. Was heute an Kundenorientierung und Service mir / uns widerfahren ist, war echt schwierig...wir wurden mehr oder weniger des Restaurants veriwesen, nur weil wahrscheinlich unsere T-Shirts bunter wie üblich waren ...am Tisch hatten wir schon Platz genommen und höflich nachgefragt, ob auch der Sonnenschutz angepasst werden kann - Katastrophe...ich kann der Giftbude empfehlen ihrem Namen nicht Realität zu schenken

Direkt am Weststrand gelegen, sehr nett und preislich ok. Allerdings zum Essen muß man Tisch reservieren für die Terrasse, innen nicht.

Leider ein sehr unfreundliches, kinderfeindliches Restaurant. Durften nicht den Kinderwagen mit schlafendem Kind mit auf die Terrasse stellen. (Obwohl genügend Platz vorhanden war) Ein Umsatz mit 6 Erwachsenen und 8 Kindern haben Sie wohl nicht benötigt! Sehr schade! Nicht empfehlenswert!

Leider war das Personal sehr unfreundlich, und hat uns das Gefühl gegeben nicht willkommen zu sein. Obwohl der Laden nur halb gefüllt war, meinte der Kellner er hat für die Kinder nur innen einen Platz.

Wir hatten nur was am Nachmittag getrunken. Alle Kellner die uns bedient haben ( 3 verschiedene von der Bestellung bis zur Bezahlung) waren sehr unfreundlich.

Man sitzt dort schön am Strand und kann die Aussicht genießen, wodurch das tolle Essen noch besser schmeckt. Ich kann die Scholle empfehlen.

Wenn noch kein Tisch frei ist wird die Wartezeit wird mit Getränkelierferungen verkürzt. Warteliste wird gerecht abgearbeitet. Das Essen wird schnell geliefert. Wir hatten die Dorade und das Kalbsfilet mit Spargel und waren restlos zufrieden.

Wir haben Mädels Urlaub gemacht und waren jeden Tag in der Giftbude. Das Essen ist so lecker . Man müsste mehr wie 5 Sterne geben. Die Spargelsuppe ist Weltklasse. Der Service top. Tolle Lage und die Einrichtung ist auch schön. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder

Solltet ihr Vorhaben hier was zu essen oder zu trinken, haltet euch von der kleinen dunkelhaarigen Bedienung fern, die nimmt den Namen Giftbude zu wörtlich, wie bereits in vielen Kommentaren zu lesen ist, arrogant, pampig und Übergriffig. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 8 Leuten vor Ort. 2 Runden Getränke. Ein Getränk falsch gebucht als wir um Klärung baten, wurden wir absolut unfreundlich, mehr oder minder dem Laden verwiesen. Giftzwerg in der Giftbude wer häts gedacht! Ich hoffe sehr das die Junge neue Kollegin, die hingegen sehr freundlich war nicht zu sehr unter diesem Drachen leidet

Ich war heute mit einer Gruppe von Freunden dort, um entspannt etwas zu trinken. Wir haben zwei Runden Getränke bestellt und waren soweit auch zufrieden mit allem. Wir haben dann eine neue Kellnerin bekommen, die neu dort war - absolut kein Problem. Leider ging im Trubel dann meine Bestellung unter, während die anderen in der Gruppe ihre Getränke bekommen haben. Darauf haben wir die Kellnerin hingewiesen, die dann wohl meine Bestellung erneut eingebucht hatte (wie unser Kellner zuvor). Das hat sich dann auf der Rechnung bestätigt: mein Getränk war 3x mal auf drauf, obwohl ich nur zwei bekommen und getrunken haben. Wir hatten die Kellnerin darauf hingewiesen, worauf sie dann ihre Kollegin geholt hat. Soweit ja kein Problem, das sollte sich ja schnell klären lassen und ich bin da auch absolut verständnisvoll, vor allem weil die Kellnerin auch sagte, dass sie neu dort sei. Fehler passieren. Was danach passierte hat mich wirklich nachhaltig geschockt. Die Kollegin kam raus und sagte, dass wir die Rechnung nun so zahlen müssten. Wir erklärten ganz sachlich, dass ich aber nunmal nur 2 Getränke bekommen habe. Darauf wurde sie sehr wütend, klopfte mir übergriffig auf die Schulter und warf mir herablassend 5€ hin mit den Worten „Weißte was? Wenn du‘s so nötig hast geb ich dir das Getränk aus) klopfte mir wieder übergriffig auf die Schulter und kam mir deutlich zu nah und stampfte davon. Wir waren alle extrem geschockt, da wir wirklich nur unsere Rechnung zahlen wollten und uns wurde vorgeworfen, dass wir sie um 5€ betrügen wollten (?!). Daraufhin sprachen wir mit der anderen Kellnerin und sagten, dass wir doch nur unsere Rechnung zahlen wollen. Sie hakte bei der Kollegin nach, die uns wohl einfach nur loswerden wollte und sagte, dass wir gehen sollen. Sowas ist mir noch nie passiert und ich finde so ein übergriffiges Verhalten wirklich unter aller Sau. Die neue Kollegin trifft da keine Schuld, weil wie gesagt Fehler passieren können und man sowas sachlich klären sollte. Ich kann die Giftbude leider daher gar nicht empfehlen und bin immer noch erschüttert über das Verhalten.

Innen unbedingt Tisch bestellen. Tische die ab 18/18:30 reserviert sind werden um 16:40 nicht mehr vergeben. Vorspeise gibt es auch erst ab 17 Uhr. 10 oder 20 Minuten vorher gibt es keine Vorspeise. Das Geschirr dafür wird kommentarlos abgeräumt.

Jedes Jahr fahren wir mehrmals nach Norderney und es ist für uns Pflicht , hier einzukehren. Service super Freundlich- egal wie voll und stressig es ist- hier bekommt jeder ein Lächeln. Wir empfinden das die Küchencrew ihren Job liebt, das Essen kommt wie von herzen. Nirgendwo, sitzt man so gemütlich und nah am Wasser wie hier! Bitte weiter so und eine entspannte Saison mit Aperol und Fanta 😁

Wir waren rundum zufrieden: freundlicher Service, sehr gutes Essen und die Lage ist einfach traumhaft! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren zwei Mal während unseres einwöchigem Aufenthalt auf Ney dort. Der Service, das Personal und die Speisen und Getränke sind sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Abends ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert da das Restaurant gut besucht ist. Tagsüber bekommt man bei gutem Wetter draußen immer einen Platz. Top Service die Gläser sind nie lange Leer 👍👍👍 Die Speisekarte wird auf Rollen zum Tisch gefahren. Echt Klasse die Idee. 😁 Essen kommt in guten Portionen. Pizza MEGA groß und Super lecker 😋 Preis Leistung fanden wir Top nicht überteuert wie man manchmal denkt. Salate Super Frisch. Die Seezunge absolut zu empfehlen. 👍👍👍 Pizza kann auch mitgenommen werden 👍👍👍 Auf der Terrasse eine tolle Aussicht über den Strand. Geschützt hinter einer Glasscheibe und von oben mit Rollmarkiese. Kommen gerne nochmal wieder.

Wir waren gestern mit neun Personen in der Giftbude und haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden etwas und der Service war sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt und die Lage ist ein Traum. Klare Empfehlung!

Die Giftbude auf Norderney ist für uns ein echtes Highlight! 😊 Die Pizza war einfach super – perfekt gebacken und auf Wunsch auch richtig schön scharf 🔥 Genau so muss das sein! Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam, freundlich und angenehm schnell, sodass man sich rundum gut aufgehoben fühlt. Besonders begeistert hat uns auch das gemütliche und stilvoll eingerichtete Innere – und der Blick aus den Fenstern auf Strand und Meer ist einfach traumhaft. Bei schönem Wetter lohnt sich die Terrasse umso mehr: Noch bessere Aussicht, frische Meeresluft und einfach eine richtig gute Atmosphäre. Klare Empfehlung – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Zu den Speisen kann ich nichts sagen, da wir nur etwas getrunken haben. Meines Erachtens ist die Giftbude stark überbewertet. Der Service ist unfreundlich und nicht zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist allerdings sehr schön.

Die Giftbude am Weststrand ist eine sehr gute Adresse, um nach einem Spaziergang oder einer Strandwanderung eine Ruhepause einzulegen. Die Küche (ich hatte bei meinen Besuchen immer kleinere Gerichte) ist sehr gut aufgestellt! Qualitativ und geschmacklich gibt es nix zu beanstanden. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich! Auf jeden Fall werde ich wiederkommen, wenn ich auf der Insel bin👍

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe vor Ort. Man sollte für schönes Wetter auf jeden Fall reservieren. Reservierungen sind nur drinnen möglich, draußen first come first serve. Die Preise sind schon ordentlich. Man erhält für sein Geld aber wirklich große Portionen. 2,50 € für eine Zutat mehr auf der Pizza finde ich jedoch zu viel! Leider gibt es dort kein Wildberry Lillet.

The food is delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and the service very friendly. That's why we booked our New Year's Eve menu there. Unfortunately, we had to cancel it due to food intolerances. They refused to make a change to a single menu item for one person. We got our deposit back and were declared persona non grata.

The coffee we were served there (cappuccino and filter coffee) was terrible. The service was also terrible: two nice people who wanted to sit at our table were turned away by the waiter, even though we didn't object, with the words, "We're not allowed to sit at the same table as other people." Very unpleasant. The view of the sea, on the other hand, is undeniably great.

It was very tasty 😊 We'd love to come again.

I rarely write reviews, but what we experienced at the Giftbude was so disappointing that I simply had to this time. We loved coming here for many years – with family, with friends, on vacation. It was always a lovely place with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. But what has become of this place is simply sad. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with an unfriendly and annoyed attitude. No smile, no friendliness, instead a tone as if guests were more of a burden than welcome. When we then politely asked for a little help with the children, we received a completely outrageous reaction – rude, condescending, and in a tone that should not be used towards any guest, especially not families with small children. You felt like you were simply a nuisance. Then the prices: €6.60 for a Coke! That's beyond good and evil. The food is also overpriced, and the value for money is completely out of reach. If at least the service were friendly or the quality adequate, you could overlook it – but this just leaves the impression that you're just being ripped off. We were really annoyed because we associate so many fond memories with this place. Coming here every year was almost a ritual – but that will definitely not be the case anymore. Being treated so unfriendly, disrespectful, and greedily was the last time. Bottom line: We were loyal guests for years, but this gift shop has finally lost us. We won't spend another cent here.

Extremely friendly service. Child-friendly, we were served quickly—too quickly, in fact. Less than five minutes after ordering, the fish, sausages, and pizza were on the table. The pizza could have stayed in the oven a minute or two longer, in our opinion. Overall, though, solid, down-to-earth food. If you're looking for something simpler and quick, this is the place to go. The prices are perfectly reasonable, and the location right by the sea is also fantastic.

Cappuccino to go: Tasted like something from a cone. We reported that. According to the server, we're "part of the other 5%." Apparently, 95% of people come there just for the excellent hot drink. Well then...

We stopped by for a glass of wine. Beautiful view of the water. Unfortunately, payment by credit card isn't possible.

A restaurant with a good menu. The food is absolutely excellent. Excellent value for money. No long waits. The service has a positive Nordic charm; it's very helpful. Most of the interiors offer views of the beach promenade and the North Sea. Advance reservations are absolutely essential for the interior. We'd happily go back anytime; we've been there several times.

Today we (two adults and two children) wanted to have lunch at the "Giftbude" restaurant. However, the whole thing fell apart upon entering the restaurant, or rather, we ended up with a stroller and a sleeping child on the stairs! A waiter whistled at us on the stairs, saying that strollers weren't allowed. When we asked how he would handle the whole thing with a sleeping 4-year-old, he bluntly replied, "We should just leave the child standing on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant," which, of course, was completely unacceptable to us. Not recommended! A disgrace!

A 5-star gift shop with attentive service, delicious food, and a great location. We've eaten there several times and were always impressed 🤩 I recommend this restaurant 100%✌️. The sunsets are also very enjoyable there 😎

We only had a drink here. Nice spot with a view of the sea. The tables were sandy due to the strong wind. But... the North Sea and the wind belong here. The sand didn't bother us. 😁😄😃

I was there at the end of August with my children and grandchildren. We ordered appetizers and a main course. Before we could even enjoy the appetizers, the main course was on the table. Since we had two children under one year old with us, we asked for the awning to be extended. The only responses were illogical and negative. The staff weren't particularly friendly. The food was delicious. The view from the terrace is fantastic.

Cozy restaurant with a beautiful sea view. We both had pizza and were very happy with our choice. The staff was friendly and helpful. We made a reservation in advance because it can get very busy at peak times. However, reservations are only possible inside. If there's space outside, you can always sit outside.

The location is quite nice, though in places, the decor is a bit lackluster. We sat on the terrace; we can't comment on the interior. The drinks were taken and delivered quickly, but after that, there was no further service. We approached several servers and didn't get a menu (apparently, they don't serve them outside either, but they just didn't tell us). After 45 minutes without being able to order food, we had to ask for the bill twice. We gave some friendly feedback, but unfortunately, it wasn't received very warmly.

The restaurant is located directly on the beach. The terrace is sheltered from wind and rain and offers a fantastic view of the sea.

The food is very delicious. We had to make concessions with the service this time (it was better two years ago). However, it was also very crowded. The view of the setting sun from the dinner table is unparalleled.

I've rarely experienced such disrespectful treatment. My fish fillet had several bones in it – something that simply shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this price range. When I politely pointed this out to the waiter, the manager was immediately called. Instead of apologizing or resolving the problem amicably, he rudely told me that "fish has bones" and that I "don't know anything about food." Then came the absolute shocker: He literally told me to "please go eat somewhere else and never come back!" I've never experienced anything like it. Being treated like this as a paying guest is an absolute disgrace. The food was mediocre, the service abysmal, and the manager's behavior was simply unprofessional. If you don't want your evening ruined, you should steer clear of this place.

The Giftbude on Norderney is an absolute insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a dream location. The relaxed atmosphere is immediately apparent upon entering – right on the beach, with a magnificent view of the sea. The location is truly unbeatable and creates a true holiday feeling! The food was consistently delicious – freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and superbly flavorful. Whether you prefer fish, meat, or vegetarian – everyone will find something to suit their taste. The quality of the ingredients and the creative execution of the dishes are particularly noteworthy. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. As a guest, you feel completely welcome and well looked after. A small note: In strong winds, some sand may blow onto the terrace – despite the protective screens. However, this is completely understandable and somehow part of the charm of a restaurant right by the sea. Those who love pure nature will hardly find it a disturbance. The only minor criticism: Payments can only be made with debit cards; unfortunately, credit cards are not accepted. Especially in a tourist-heavy place like Norderney, it would be desirable if international cards were also accepted. This would make the stay even more convenient for many guests. Nevertheless, the Giftbude is a place you absolutely must visit – whether for a relaxed lunch, a sundowner, or a romantic dinner with the sound of the sea in the background. I'll definitely be back!

The service was all in all nice and good, unfortunately the food arrived very late for our children and it was unfortunately not convincing (some of the fish was fried too dry, too salty and the potatoes were cold), ambience was actually good, but when everyone around you is smoking it is unfortunately no longer so appetizing.

Yes, I can recommend it. I've tried almost every Italian restaurant. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly. Reservations are recommended.

I've been there several times. The food was fantastic and the view breathtaking. The service was excellent and the prices fair.

It's always a pleasure and a joy to be served there by a super friendly crew who are always on the lookout for what's needed. Highly recommended. It's always best to make a reservation.

The ambiance is appealing, and the service was generally good. Unfortunately, the vegetarian options were disappointing: the selection was very limited, and my choice—the truffle pasta—wasn't very flavorful. The "winter truffle" was hard, almost tasteless, and the aroma that gave it its name was barely noticeable.

We once again wanted to go to the Giftbude for lunch with two elderly islanders (both long-time customers). We sat on the terrace in the sun and ordered drinks (high prices even for New Zealand, e.g., a Coke for €6.60). When we asked for menus, the answer was: They don't have them here. The waiter then pushed a rack with several A3-sized menus at an angle to our table, so that we had to contort ourselves to read them. Some couldn't even read the small print. When we politely asked for proper menus, the unfriendly answer was again: They're not available out here. I then went into the restaurant and got the menus and returned to our table to choose our dishes. Shortly afterward, an extremely unfriendly, very bad-tempered waitress came to our table and immediately demanded the menus back. The cards would be damaged by the sand outside. Unfortunately, we had already received drinks by then. We were completely ignored afterward and went to a friendly restaurant after paying. Up until now, we've always been happy and welcome guests at the Giftbude. That's over now.
