I can only report good things. Everything tasted great. The terrace was open to everyone.

Burger quality is very good but at 35 euros it is more than well paid. The service was very friendly, but a little over the top at times. There was never a lack of explanations and instructions at the table ;) We were surprised by the furnishings, which are certainly a matter of taste. As far as chairs and tables are concerned, you could have discovered them in a Danish manufacturer's furniture store. But as I said, it's a matter of taste. Access to the restaurant could be better lit in the evening.

The fish of the day, fresh cod on baby spinach and mashed potatoes was incredibly tasty. 😋

Starting with the acceptance of the table reservation, through the reception in the restaurant, the very delicious food, the good recommendation of the drinks, the unobtrusive but attentive, polite service to the warm farewell, it was a pleasure and an experience for us to enjoy the evening in this wonderful atmosphere to be allowed. Wer mit dem guten Namen von Nelson Müller ein Lokal bewirbt, sollte wenigstens den Anspruch haben, auch wenn der "Meister" nicht vor Ort ist, ordentlich zu kochen und Gäste freundlich zu bedienen. Letzteres ist bei unserem Besuch gelungen, aber die Qualität der Speisen war nicht akzeptabel. Nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch am Nachbartisch gab es lange Gesichter. Bei einem Kostenaufwand von € 200,00 inkl. einer einfachen Flasche Wein für 2 Personen kommt man sich reichlich geneppt vor. Keine Empfehlung und 2 Punktestatt 1 Punkt nur wegen des freundlichen Service.

The meal, a bouillabaisse, was very tasty and interestingly prepared. The service was very accommodating. But the ambience is a bit sober and lacks cosiness. What's very strange are the table legs, which are probably meant to be extra stylish...

Very tasty food with attention to detail. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating and responded to personal requests quickly and easily. The restaurant brings some variety to the island's offerings. Overall, a visit is highly recommended.

Kitchen party on October 6th, 2024: The guests came from all walks of life and all seemed to have fun the evening. The atmosphere was relaxed. Everyone was allowed to pursue their culinary preferences at any time and eat up and down the menu. The stations were occupied throughout the evening and guests could try and eat anything according to their taste at any time. The evening was musically accompanied by a saxophonist and Nelson's singing voice. Top & definitely recommended

We went to Müller's 4 times this year with our 2 dogs. There's nothing to complain about. It was always a culinary experience. The service is phenomenal! And the price-performance ratio is great! We'll be happy to come back!

There is better on Norderney. There were four of us with a starter and dessert, but the fish dishes for €60 were more of a starter and the quantity offered was outrageous. We then went out to eat something

For us one of the highlights of our stay on the island! Very nice atmosphere, extremely attentive and friendly service. We chose the menu including wine accompaniment, exactly the right decision. Great menu, creative and varied, well presented and well prepared. Price-performance absolutely ok. In our opinion that was definitely star level.

The food was sensational. Extremely friendly service. A fine selection of wines and a more spectacular view of Juist. A visit to this restaurant is a must when staying in Norderney!

Ein insgesamt wunderschöner Abend bei sehr gutem Essen, erlesenem Wein, sehr zuvorkommendem Service und ansprechendem Ambiente. Wir saßen am Fenster mit Sonnenuntergang und haben ein vorzügliches Abendessen genossen. Auf die Unverträglichkeiten meiner Frau wurde perfekt Rücksicht genommen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke an das freundliche Team, die hervorragende Küche - und danke, Nelson!

Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem wunderschönen Gebäude, mit einzigartigem Blick aufs Meer. Der Service war enttäuschend, es ist ein Unding, wenn von 4 Personen nur 3 ihre Vorspeise gleichzeitig erhalten und die vierte Person erst, nachdem die anderen schon fertig sind. Der Hauptgang (Burger) war fad, deutlich schlechter als in einem der üblichen Burger-Restaurants, dafür aber doppelt so teuer. Insgesamt ernüchternd.

We had a great afternoon/evening at Müllers. We sat there from about 4 to 8:30 p.m. Weather was great and we were able to use the sun terrace. There was a DJ there that day who played at a comfortable volume. The service was really great. We kept an eye on everything and always made sure we were well looked after. We found the food very good. Everything tasted excellent and was also great to look at. We would definitely come again.

The food was really fantastic. The DJ's extreme loudness was negative. I could hardly understand my wife. This is still a restaurant and not a disco or the milk bar. This is definitely not pleasant for the hotel guests. The second point is that we were informed 5 minutes after dessert that the table was needed, and we had also ordered drinks, which we should then take elsewhere. The 2 hours for our reservation weren't over either. After a 200 euro bill an absolute no go! Otherwise the service was very friendly.

We were looking forward to a great meal, but unfortunately we were partly disappointed. Firstly, the mineral water was not chilled. We didn't ask beforehand whether we wanted this to be room temperature or cold, so we assumed, like other restaurants, that it would be served cold. Then my husband was looking forward to the burger for €34. However, there were no French fries this lunchtime. Delivery difficulties. A nogo for such a high-priced restaurant. Instead, risotto, puree or potato salad was offered as a side dish. And that with a burger. That doesn't fit at all. So my husband ordered another dish. I had a salad with fillet strips. The salad tasted good, the fillet was very tender, but not seasoned at all. Had to add seasoning, which wasn't so easy because the first salt shaker was empty and the second one was almost empty. When I paid I noticed that the fillet was tender but not seasoned. There was no regret or apology. We definitely won't eat here again. Price-performance ratio is not right in my opinion.

We hadn't just been outside inside

In my opinion, unfortunately the price-performance ratio was not right. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel is no longer on the menu - so it will be difficult for older children to find something. Our 12-year-old daughter was then allowed to order the schnitzel from the children's menu. It was probably very tasty and the portion was ok too. My wife's fish tasted very good, but the portion was simply too small (especially for the price). My burger was not a revelation for €35 and was simply too small. The service was extremely polite. Sometimes you have to wait too long for the food - here it went too quickly for me. By the time the food arrived we had neither managed to drink the appetizer nor order the drinks with the meal. Here you just notice that things have to be done quickly so that every table goes away twice in the evening. From our point of view, there are cheaper alternatives with comparable quality on Norderney. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn't stop here again on our next visit to Norderney.

The Wagyu burger and fries were absolutely brilliant and with a view of the sea.

Already enjoyed very good wine in the afternoon. Great, very well-kept atmosphere! So we reserved a table for the evening. The seating is far too narrow. Restaurant inside full of flies, already without food about 20-25 at the table. Attentive and very friendly staff. However, not recommended because of the many flies inside. Supposedly normal due to the beach location? 🤣 Despite having a reservation, we left without eating. A pity.

It was a very nice evening with very tasty food and good wine. The service was impeccable throughout. It was great that our son was given something to paint and the service responded very well to him, which is something we're used to in this type of exclusive restaurant. Thanks for that. It should be clear to everyone that it is of course a bit more expensive, you also get the corresponding quality and not convenience.

You shouldn't come here hungry! Service very attentive, greeting from the house absolutely average, not to say taste boring, you can get smarter and definitely more demanding for the palate in significantly cheaper restaurants, portion sizes are a complete joke, declaring a risotto for just under 30 euros as a main course, that's still It doesn't even have the appropriate size for a starter...that's pretty cheeky, unfortunately there's no taste of sloppiness either, a leaf salad for 15 euros, unfortunately there was no trace of pickled vegetables, see menu...oh yes, one tiny piece of baby corn that tasted sour. The house dressing was bland. A pity. We sat in the middle of the room, unfortunately not very comfortable, the side view of the sea was nice. Conclusion: once and not again, all the more annoying since it was a birthday dinner and was supposed to round off the vacation, the opposite was actually the case...

We had reserved two months before and asked for a table by the window (requested because of our wedding anniversary); unfortunately this was not taken into account. Bread and butter is not a greeting from the kitchen... on Saturdays in the first round at 6 p.m. even a meat dish (1 of 3) cannot be ordered is not acceptable in a restaurant in this price range. The second “meat dish choice” also had its hurdles - the wild garlic spaetzle side dish was already out; In return came watery spaetzle with no taste. Overall, the starters/main courses were very manageable. The staff tried hard, but semi-professionally. Unfortunately, it's not enough if reputation precedes... reality disappoints. We were ready for the price, and we would have liked to have been for the performance.

The food is excellent and the service is very good

We were there this afternoon, admittedly with some expectations. “Müller” is known as “TV chef”. A friendly lady took our jackets from us at the entrance. Since I had my wallet and keys in there and I wanted to take them out, it obviously took the very friendly lady a little too long. The restaurant was about 1/10 occupied. I judge the following assessment by the name, but especially by the price/performance ratio of this restaurant. At the table: It took a little too long before someone from the service came. Drink order ok, Wine, water, but the small beer (0.25L) from the island brewery was very wet when it was put on the table. Better: If a beer mat would be too unsightly for this restaurant, dry the glass or offer a napkin. Then the food order: 2 main courses and a Kaiserschmarren for dessert. The service employee didn't want to include dessert. I said that in my experience the Kaiserschmarren takes a little longer and so the kitchen knows. First there was half a slice of sourdough bread with lightly salted butter for everyone. I'll say it in advance: it was the highlight! Well, the food came: Baked fish and veal sausage. Fried fish good, breading too soft, not cross! Decoration very good! Portion clear. With the Swabian potato salad: Consistency good, seasoned too lightly! The sausage etc: Very good, the knife (cutlery) was too dull for this “task”, the Belgian fries were delicious. When we finished, the employee who cleared the empty plates asked if we would like another dessert. We said we would like to have a Kaiserschmarren, as already mentioned. Shortly afterwards the service employee came and also asked what we wanted. It was the same as at the beginning. I said that I had already mentioned that I wanted a Kaiserschmarren. His answer: “If I had taken the order straight away, the dessert would have been brought long ago.” Shortly afterwards the second glass of beer was brought to me behind my back (without making myself noticed). Not the nice kind. Which is quite normal: it took a long time until the Kaiserschmarren was served. Quite tasty, but too greasy. I can't help it, I still gave a tip of around 7% (normal is at least 10%). Conclusion: The atmosphere is very nice. Located right on the beach, just great. Inside, however: The background noise was already borderline, what could happen when it's fully booked?! More textile or wood in some places could help. The “Original Wiener Schnitzel” looked really good. However: Not only was the price-performance ratio of the food served not at all good, the service was really not good. The young man either needs to be better educated, right?? A pity. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos.

We had reserved a table 2 months before. The table assigned to us wasn't anything special, it was just one of the free ones. After we ordered, we were no longer paid attention to. After 40 minutes of waiting, we were told that the food was being served. After 50 minutes we left without food. Our explanation was listened to by the staff in a wordlessly arrogant manner and without even a hint of apology. I've never left a restaurant like that in 50 years... We left a calling card in case there were 2 more glasses of wine or other costs.

Had dinner at Müller's yesterday. We had a great table with a view of the sea. We started with a Chandon Garden Spritz. Simply a fantastic drink. Afterwards there was delicious bread with salted butter as a greeting from the kitchen. We also ordered this again. As a starter we had Hereford beef tartare and Müller's smoked salmon with tartare. And as a main course, veal cheeks and again the Hereford beef tartare. Yuzu sorbet with champagne for dessert. Everything was really delicious. And it was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

We went to Müller's for lunch today. The Wiener Schnitzel was buttery and delicious with cranberries and Belgian fries. The burgers are also highly recommended. First there were toasted slices of bread with salted butter. We ate there very quietly in a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would like to come again.

Wir sind nach der Silvesterparty und einer Geburtstagsfeier im Mai jetzt zum ersten Mal auch im Hotel 1884 und genießen täglich das tolle Frühstück und mehrfach das fantastische Abendessen im Müller's. Die Location im perfekt restaurierten historischen Gebäude ist ein Traum direkt am Meer. Ganz besonders für Norderney ist das "Müller's- und 1884-Team! Ausnahmslos sind alle sehr professionell, aufmerksam und freundlich. Top Management! Wir sind begeistert und danken sehr für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft auf hohem Niveau. Bis bald.

We were very satisfied with the friendly and attentive service. The food was perfectly prepared and tasted fantastic. Very nice rooms, tastefully decorated. A small but at worst unpleasant disadvantage is a single step in the restaurant area that is not so easily recognizable. Risk of injury! This must be constantly pointed out by service personnel. This should have been planned better.

We were invited to a wedding in this great location yesterday evening! I can only say that we (my husband, my older daughter, my little daughter and I) were so pampered that it wasn't just the bride and groom who were in seventh heaven! The team was so accommodating, friendly, quick and hard-working, nothing was left to be desired! The meat was cooked to perfection and tender like butter. However, the cream of asparagus soup was my personal highlight! I also have to say that I have some intolerances, such as: Celiac disease, and also allergies like e.g. against nuts, almonds, etc. It was dealt with in a very friendly and professional manner and I was able to enjoy the entire menu!!! Anyone who has the same suffering knows that this is not a given!!! "Thank you for the lovely evening!!!

The view is fantastic, but tonight was less beautiful for us as guests. At first the drink we ordered wasn't taken, then we waited an hour for our dinner. The beef fillet came chopped and not medium rare as requested. An absurdity!!!! The food tasted good! The service was disorganized... there were 3 or 4 different servers at our table. At some point the dessert menu was brought to us, but no one came to take the order until after about 20/30 minutes at the counter I had to point out to a gentleman from the service that we would like to order something else. To make up for it, they did bring dessert on the house, but overall they would have liked better service & more attention at such a great restaurant. Too many guests, too few staff. The sunset was magnificent!

We visited Das Müllers on Weststrand during our vacation. The table reservation was very easy via the booking platform on the website. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and escorted to the table. There we were given the daily recommendation and handed over the menus. We both chose the Wagyu burger and were not disappointed. It was super tasty! First there was homemade sourdough bread with butter. The cocktails (Passionfruit Daiquiri & Espresso Martini) also impressed us. The price-performance ratio is completely reasonable here. We will come back in any case!

We had a lovely evening at Müllers on Norderney. We received a very friendly welcome there and were served throughout the evening. The food was attractively prepared and of course very tasty overall. We felt extremely comfortable there. We can recommend Müllers for a nice evening.

The ambience and service are great, the view of the sea is beautiful. The main courses (cheese spaetzle for me and beef cheeks for my husband) tasted absolutely excellent, but if you only have one main course you won't be nearly full. just 1 cheek with a mini portion of spaetzle, and if extra steak strips hadn't been ordered with the cheese spaetzle, that wouldn't have been enough either. At these prices you can ask for more. For dessert, because there wasn't enough, we ordered Kaiserschmarrn, see photo, with super aromatic strawberries and ice cream. However, it had way too many raisins and was way too sweet.

It's a shame...I agree with the many good reviews. The ambience, the food, the aperitif, the wine are all excellent. But unfortunately the timing was a big negative. We had barely had our aperitif when the main course was already in front of us. Together with the Lillet, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water it was a quick run. After 35 minutes the evening was over. A pity.

NMLR Müllers on Norderney The Nelson Müllers on Norderney is located directly on the northern beach of Norderney and directly on the promenade. It is a typical Norderney house. The restaurant and bar are very nicely and comfortably furnished. The style is modern, yet classically comfortable. In the back area there is a large living room with lots of glass and a very nice large wood stove. Everything is very cozy and stylish...just like Nelson's food. To the front there is a beautiful covered terrace with a view of the sea. Here you can enjoy great cocktails while watching the sunset. Unfortunately we didn't eat that late in the evening...but we had great cocktails at the end of the day. The menu is a feast, as a hobby chef I would love to cook with Nelson sometime. The staff and service was very good, very nice and accommodating. Gladly again.

Price/performance absolutely okay. Great food, delicious wine, admittedly a little more expensive but everything is fresh and handmade. Great, we'll be back next time we visit Norderney.

Very good upscale cuisine, varied and creative, at a reasonable price. Attentive, professional service. Fantastic sea views if you have a table by the window. The arrangement of the other tables is not so optimal in this respect. But overall a good addition to Norderney's fine gastronomy.

After consulting and planning with the restaurant, we were able to dine here with a smaller group of 15 people after our civil wedding. The restaurant conjured up a vegan four-course menu especially for us. All employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back! 😊

I didn't eat there so I can't comment on it. But the ambience and cocktails were great. A beautiful view.

Food perfect, just a long wait with us today

Unfortunately it is very loud! If you sit a little longer, the table legs get in the way and it becomes uncomfortable - especially if you have knee problems. But since we had a long wait, the four of us felt the same way.

Nun ja…ich habe mir mehr versprochen: Das Tartar war schön zubereitet und auch gut, allerdings finde ich 26,50 EUR hierfür stark übertrieben, insbesondere im direkten Vergleich zum Vitello Tonato, das war geschmacklich klasse und hier war Preis/Leistung ok. Unsere Frauen haben gefragt, ob sie das Risotto in einer kleinen Portion auch als Vorspeise bekommen können, dies war in der Planung nicht vorgesehen und somit nicht verfügbar, höchstens als normale Portion mit 2 Tellern. Somit wurde sich für ein Vitello Tonato entschieden, dass sich unsere Frauen teilen wollten. Meiner Frau wurde dann leider jedoch das Besteck abgenommen, da sie ja keine Vorspeise bestellt hat… Das Wiener Schnitzel war dann halt ein Wiener Schnitzel, leider wurde den Pommes nicht vorher gefragt, ob man(n) Mayonnaise: ich mag sie nicht und oben auf den Pommes war dann ordentlich Mayonnaise. Kurz gesagt: wir haben das Müllers mal getestet, damit hat es sich dann auch, für uns keine zwingende Location wie z.B. die Sansibar wenn wir auf Sylt sind. Der Service war sehr freundlich und größtenteils sehr aufmerksam.

After the many positive but also negative reviews, we tested the Müllers ourselves on Saturday. From the relaxed, friendly reception to the aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and the final schnapps, everything was simply great! We felt welcome and comfortable! And the prices are definitely in relation to the quality and presentation of the food. PS: you can't miss the bouillabaisse

We were at the star restaurant here on Norderney 3 days ago and it was really good. However, Müller's, without a star, absolutely delights us. The 5-course menu is perfectly coordinated and every course is a pleasure. The atmosphere, we sat at a quiet table in the cozy and stylish lobby, was very homely and private. The service is loving and relaxed. The menu is just perfect. The price of the menu was well chosen and reasonable. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Very stylish restaurant and hotel. The restaurant is located in the restored Hotel 1894. A successful mix of classic and modern. The menu for currently 95 EUR is sensational! 5 courses, very well cooked and presented. Beautifully presented plates, excellently prepared, very nice, good service. A successful evening. Thank you!

Definitely go, one of the most beautiful places on the whole island. The menu isn't "long" but everything is great.

We weren't disappointed on our second visit either. Everything is right here. The food tasted like a poem. The service was friendly and accommodating. The ambience with a view of the sea is beautiful.

Gestern Abend 18:00Uhr . Lokal voll ausgebucht. Das Lokal optisch sehr schön. Akustisch laut wie eine Bahnhofshalle. Man konnte kaum sein Gegenüber verstehen. Speisen: Mein Kabeljau schmeckte sehr fischig. Das 15m vom Meer entfernt. Die Portionen waren überschaubar. Nett dekoriert. Aber das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmte in keiner Weise. Für eine Flasche( 0,75l) Wasser 9,50€ ist schon extrem. Ich würde das Lokal keinem Freund empfehlen.

Zusammengefasst: zu viel Nelson Müller Fan Gehabe, zu wenig Kulinarik. Pluspunkte: - tolles und modernes Ambiente - bemühter und freundlicher Service Kritikpunkte: - zwei Scheiben Brot und Butter als „Gruß aus der Küche“ zu bezeichnen ist frech - von sowieso wenigen Vorspeisen war „Balik Lachs etc“ nur dem Menü vorbehalten?!? Wieso? „Sie können ja Kaviar nehmen“ nice try… - überkandidelte Wein und Champagnerauswahl. Man macht auf 2 Sterne, leider hält das Essensangebot da nicht mit. Wozu ein 1000€ Bordeaux oder 600€ Krug, wenn man dazu nix Passendes auf der Speisekarte findet? - Hunde sind erlaubt, in jeder Größe und Beschaffenheit. Ich mag Hunde, aber bei Kaviar und Krug einen am Nebentisch zu haben eher nicht Meiner Meinung nach muss man sich hier noch finden. Was will man sein? Gourmetrestaurant in der Kategorie Seesteg, oder ungezwungener Laden wie Weisse Düne etc? Für Letzteres ist man einfach zu teuer und es ist einfach nicht rund.

We leave on the terrace. There are only drinks there every day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There was brunch inside. Nelson himself sang live. Great. He has a great voice. We spontaneously registered for dinner.

We were assigned a great place so that we could enjoy the beautiful ambience and the wonderful view. The food was very tasty, I had the veal schnitzel and what can I say, the spicy breading thickness was just right for the veal... the taste was well combined. Our service was very courteous and always made sure that we didn't lack anything. An excellent Primitivo was served to me with my meal, an absolutely perfect and well-rounded holiday evening. Super nice reception; great ambience; Service staff the way we like it: relaxed, competent and not intrusive. The food was excellent. Tartar as a starter, Wiener Schnitzel in the main course and chocolate variations as dessert. It doesn't sound like much to read - but it doesn't have to if the food itself is special. Service was friendly. Ambiance ok. I didn't like the food - fried fish - at all, it was extremely greasy and tasteless. Even though I told the waitress that I didn't like the food, all she said was a short "I'm sorry". Here I would have expected more from the house, at least a schnapps or something else as an apology. Not acceptable for me given the prices. Overall, it tasted like good snack food. I won't be returning there again.

I've just come from Müllers and am thoroughly impressed. These 1 star reviews are incomprehensible to me. The staff was consistently friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food and drinks met my expectations. I look forward to the next visit. Thank you for the lovely hours.
