Müllers auf Norderney

I was really looking forward to the visit, and it was a success at the beginning. The Campari Orange was delicious, and my dog got water right away. Bread and butter were delicious, as was the currywurst. Unfortunately, after the table was cleared, no one bothered to check on me. No one asked about coffee or dessert (I would have liked to order the Kaiserschmarrn). All the other tables were politely asked. As a woman eating alone, you feel a bit strange... Maybe just a coincidence, but a real shame. It really annoyed me!

We visited Nelson Müller on Norderney for their "famous" currywurst :) Both the meat and vegan versions were delicious. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming! P.S.: For two people, we're happy to order 4 slices of bread instead of 3... :)

A place to feel good, and not just for the soul. The food and wine were excellent, and the service was first-class. We'd be happy to return on our next visit to the island...

We had a wonderful afternoon and a wonderful stay and will gladly return whenever we're on Norderney. The food is delicious and not only a treat for the palate, but also a feast for the eyes. Vegetarians will also find something to enjoy. The prices reflect the special ambiance; however, it's not overpriced. The currywurst is available as a veal currywurst and also in a vegan version (see menu photo). This isn't just a currywurst; it's elaborately seasoned with a homemade spice called "onion earth," and it comes with Belgian fries and homemade mayonnaise. The service staff is very attentive and answers questions ("How is the onion earth made?"). So, in any case, full marks from us: everything is good.

First of all: the milk-fed veal cheeks were out. This shouldn't have been the case. Otherwise, everything was excellent and top-notch. I'd definitely go back. The location is great and the tartar is very good. The Wiener schnitzel is also extremely tasty.

Wir waren an 4 Abenden im "Nelson Müller" auf Norderney und haben es an keinem Abend bereut. Die Küche war herausragend gut, geschmacklich sehr kreativ und die Speisekarte bot für jeden Geschmack etwas Besonderes. Auch wenn einmalig der bestellte Oktopus nicht ganz die gewünschte Qualität hatte, so lag dies sicher nicht an der Zubereitung, sondern an der Qualität der Ware, für die Ein Koch auch nicht immer garantieren kann. Insgesamt hatten wir keinen Grund zu Klagen, fanden einen herausragend freundlichen und sehr aufmerksamen Service vor und haben die Abende wirklich genossen. Dazu kommt ein einmalig schöner Ausblick auf die Nordsee.

Anyone who "knows" Nelson Müller should have been there at least once. Cakes and coffees are at a reasonable price. Menus are upscale, but also "limitless." It's simply top-notch cuisine.

We had a wonderful evening at the Nelson Müller restaurant on Norderney. The oysters were first-class. The bouillabaisse was a true taste experience, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. My wife, who is vegetarian, was also thrilled: The vegetarian dishes were creative, seasonal, and prepared with just as much attention to detail as the fish dishes – absolutely on par. The service was consistently attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive. You feel welcome and well looked after. A stylish place with excellent cuisine – we'll definitely be back.

A thoroughly successful evening at Müllers on Norderney A visit to Müllers Restaurant is a true culinary experience. I chose the spaghetti aglio e olio for my starter – perfectly al dente, as it should be. Simple, yet incredibly flavorful. The main course, salt marsh lamb, was the absolute highlight: wonderfully tender, aromatic, and expertly prepared. The side dishes were finely balanced, and the entire meal seemed well-thought-out and harmonious. The service was also outstanding: The daughter of the house, who was working as a temporary assistant that evening, acted with impressive professionalism – on the fly, charming, attentive, and absolutely competent. You wouldn't notice that she was just filling in – she led the evening with confidence. Two small, personal comments: • The bottled water served is a matter of taste – I would have preferred a different brand. ``` • The crème brûlée tasted good, but at €16.50, it was a bit overpriced for me. Apart from that, the price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect – especially for the starter and main course, the quality of the cuisine is worth every euro. Conclusion: A wonderful evening with first-class food, great service, and a harmonious overall package. Müllers is definitely a recommendation for every gourmet on Norderney.

We went to Müllers with certain expectations, and what can I say? They exceeded our expectations many times over. The food was divine, the service was super friendly and attentive at all times, and the location right on the water was sensational. Wir hatten einen schönen Platz auf der Sonnenterrasse und wurden anfänglich zuvorkommend bedient. Als wir jedoch aus der Snackkarte orderten, kippte die Stimmung, ein veganes Gericht war nicht verfügbar, man hielt sich strikt an die Vorgaben. Flexibel und nah am Kunden geht anders.Schade!

The bouillabaisse as an appetizer was fantastic. The bread that came with it was fantastic. The only thing that really earned a 4 was the ox cheek. It was far too tough. Last year it was much, much better. This dish could be made much, much better, and as it is, it's too expensive.

Our wedding on September 3, 2024: Even though our wedding was a while ago, we still feel it's important to publish a review for Müllers on Norderney. We still look back on our day with complete satisfaction! We spent lunch with our guests on the beautiful terrace with the best view of the sea. The team at Müllers Norderney contributed to a perfect wedding day. We received excellent advice in the run-up to our wedding, and our expectations were met in every respect. With a clear conscience, we left the choice of dishes to the chef and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance simply dreamy. It couldn't have been better! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Unfriendly and inappropriate service. The dinner was unappetizing and completely overpriced for the poor quality. Not really surprising, considering who owns the restaurant. We were very disappointed. There are many cheaper and significantly better alternatives on the island.

We recently had the pleasure of spending a very special evening at Müllers on Norderney - and it was unforgettable in every way. Even though we weren't sitting in the main room but in the charming chat room of the Hotel 1884, the ambience was simply brilliant: cozy, stylish and perfect for a special occasion. The food was fantastic - every dish was a culinary highlight, lovingly prepared and tasted of the highest level. We were particularly impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the entire team, who looked after us well throughout the evening. We are incredibly grateful for this experience and can recommend Müllers on Norderney without reservation. We were with the family at Müllers on Norderney. We had a nice table and were warmly welcomed. It's chic but not mega-fine-dining. Prices are salty, portions vary greatly. Wiener Schnitzel large portion, pasta small portion. Very difficult for vegetarians (although Nelson Müller wrote a book about vegetarian cuisine) and absolutely not recommended for vegans. The bottom line is that it wasn't worth it, even if the food was delicious. Of course, the boss is usually not there either. Not recommended when accompanied by children. Overall, no recommendation.

Enjoyed excellent food and well-stocked wines yesterday and today. We say in the Ruhr area: very, very tasty....the service at Müllers is always relaxed and very attentive....we can 100% recommend the Müllers on Norderney....the interaction with the Hotel "1884" is also perfect/first class....Arrive and feel at home is the practice here....Thank you

We were there on April 19, 2025 with 4 people and we really enjoyed it. Very nice and polite service, nice atmosphere (we first sat on the veranda and had an aperitif and then went inside to eat), very tasty food and solid value for money (there are more expensive restaurants on Norderney...). I had the fjord trout as a starter and then the veal cheeks, both recommended. So, we will see the Müllers again on our next vacation on Norderney.

An evening at Müllers on Norderney – simply unforgettable! As soon as we entered the restaurant we felt welcome. The ambience? A perfect mix of comfort and style. The highlight was of course the food: a true explosion of taste! We were particularly impressed by the 3-course menu – perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wine recommendation was also really excellent. What we were particularly pleased about was the service. Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. Here you can tell that people work with passion. For us, Müllers is the best address on Norderney if you want to eat exceptionally well and feel completely at home. We'll definitely be back!

Last night I was at Müllers on Norderney with my husband and my dog. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and immediately felt at home. Our waitress Angelina was really great. She was particularly accommodating, friendly and had a smile on her face the whole evening. For starters we had cream of asparagus soup and bouillabaisse. The main course was eggplant cordon bleu and zander (catch of the day). All the food was fantastic!! For this reason, of course, there was also dessert. The Kaiserschmarrn with strawberries and yoghurt ice cream were a dream. Conclusion: we will definitely come back next time we visit Norderney! It's absolutely worth it. Ambience great! Waiter great! Food great! Thank you very much for the wonderful break! We'll be raving about it for a long time!

We are regular guests on Norderney but were at Müllers for the first time this year and were really THRILLED. Of course the food isn't cheap but it's worth every cent/euro. Great service, the best currywurst (I had it - everyone else was also very happy with their food, schnitzel and veal cheeks), delicious wines, a very tasteful ambience and the aperitif on the terrace with a view of the North Sea - enjoyment for every North Sea fan. Really highly recommended

We were at Müllers Norderney on Thursday. I can only say it was amazing. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. I had the veal currywurst with Belgian fries, and the price of €17.50 was absolutely reasonable. We'll definitely be back next time. This was our second time there, so it can't be bad. Absolutely top-notch! During my stay at the Hotel "1884," I also visited Müllers. That evening remains a culinary and gastronomic highlight for me. The staff provided incredibly good service. Courteous but not intrusive. Super friendly and competent. The ambiance offers a wonderful sea view combined with modern, upscale decor. The food is the centerpiece of the restaurant. A fantastic menu that offers something for every taste. A mix of modern interpretations of classic dishes and high-quality, unusual dishes offers a perfect selection for every palate. The quality of the food is exceptional. Here, gastronomy is "lived," and guests notice it. An absolute recommendation.

Really good restaurant with competent staff and excellent food

Overall a disappointment. We ate better and cheaper elsewhere. We found the service particularly annoying. The ladies and gentlemen always moved quickly and almost ran. That's why it was restless and uncomfortable. The cocktail alone on the terrace with a view of the sunset was nice. We wouldn't visit again.

We have been to Müllers on Norderney twice so far and were very satisfied with the food both times. The fish of the day and the fried fish are highly recommended.

Really great ambience and a very nice location... but unfortunately the service was absolutely subpar.... Ordered a bottle of wine and then was ignored... got up after 25 minutes and left... no one was interested... never again✌🏻

The furniture in the guest room consists of garden chairs. The wardrobe is simply hung open... countless coats and jackets on top of and next to each other. Unfortunately, the food was just average. I heard from a star kitchen hoped for much more. The selfie-addicted guests are annoying. Don't have to go there anymore... Oh yes: 0.1 liter of wine costs 12 euros 😀

An absolute experience! Very nice atmosphere and top service - not intrusive but always there. The appetizers are particularly worth highlighting! The Balik salmon tartare and the yellowfin mackerel sashimi were sensational!

I can only report good things. Everything tasted great. The terrace was open to everyone.

Burger quality is very good but at 35 euros it is more than well paid. The service was very friendly, but a little over the top at times. There was never a lack of explanations and instructions at the table ;) We were surprised by the furnishings, which are certainly a matter of taste. As far as chairs and tables are concerned, you could have discovered them in a Danish manufacturer's furniture store. But as I said, it's a matter of taste. Access to the restaurant could be better lit in the evening.

Wer mit dem guten Namen von Nelson Müller ein Lokal bewirbt, sollte wenigstens den Anspruch haben, auch wenn der "Meister" nicht vor Ort ist, ordentlich zu kochen und Gäste freundlich zu bedienen. Letzteres ist bei unserem Besuch gelungen, aber die Qualität der Speisen war nicht akzeptabel. Nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch am Nachbartisch gab es lange Gesichter. Bei einem Kostenaufwand von € 200,00 inkl. einer einfachen Flasche Wein für 2 Personen kommt man sich reichlich geneppt vor. Keine Empfehlung und 2 Punktestatt 1 Punkt nur wegen des freundlichen Service.

The meal, a bouillabaisse, was very tasty and interestingly prepared. The service was very accommodating. But the ambience is a bit sober and lacks cosiness. What's very strange are the table legs, which are probably meant to be extra stylish...

Kitchen party on October 6th, 2024: The guests came from all walks of life and all seemed to have fun the evening. The atmosphere was relaxed. Everyone was allowed to pursue their culinary preferences at any time and eat up and down the menu. The stations were occupied throughout the evening and guests could try and eat anything according to their taste at any time. The evening was musically accompanied by a saxophonist and Nelson's singing voice. Top & definitely recommended

We went to Müller's 4 times this year with our 2 dogs. There's nothing to complain about. It was always a culinary experience. The service is phenomenal! And the price-performance ratio is great! We'll be happy to come back!

There is better on Norderney. There were four of us with a starter and dessert, but the fish dishes for €60 were more of a starter and the quantity offered was outrageous. We then went out to eat something

For us one of the highlights of our stay on the island! Very nice atmosphere, extremely attentive and friendly service. We chose the menu including wine accompaniment, exactly the right decision. Great menu, creative and varied, well presented and well prepared. Price-performance absolutely ok. In our opinion that was definitely star level.

The food was sensational. Extremely friendly service. A fine selection of wines and a more spectacular view of Juist. A visit to this restaurant is a must when staying in Norderney!

Wir saßen am Fenster mit Sonnenuntergang und haben ein vorzügliches Abendessen genossen. Auf die Unverträglichkeiten meiner Frau wurde perfekt Rücksicht genommen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke an das freundliche Team, die hervorragende Küche - und danke, Nelson!

Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem wunderschönen Gebäude, mit einzigartigem Blick aufs Meer. Der Service war enttäuschend, es ist ein Unding, wenn von 4 Personen nur 3 ihre Vorspeise gleichzeitig erhalten und die vierte Person erst, nachdem die anderen schon fertig sind. Der Hauptgang (Burger) war fad, deutlich schlechter als in einem der üblichen Burger-Restaurants, dafür aber doppelt so teuer. Insgesamt ernüchternd.

We had a great afternoon/evening at Müllers. We sat there from about 4 to 8:30 p.m. Weather was great and we were able to use the sun terrace. There was a DJ there that day who played at a comfortable volume. The service was really great. We kept an eye on everything and always made sure we were well looked after. We found the food very good. Everything tasted excellent and was also great to look at. We would definitely come again.

The food was really fantastic. The DJ's extreme loudness was negative. I could hardly understand my wife. This is still a restaurant and not a disco or the milk bar. This is definitely not pleasant for the hotel guests. The second point is that we were informed 5 minutes after dessert that the table was needed, and we had also ordered drinks, which we should then take elsewhere. The 2 hours for our reservation weren't over either. After a 200 euro bill an absolute no go! Otherwise the service was very friendly.

We were looking forward to a great meal, but unfortunately we were partly disappointed. Firstly, the mineral water was not chilled. We didn't ask beforehand whether we wanted this to be room temperature or cold, so we assumed, like other restaurants, that it would be served cold. Then my husband was looking forward to the burger for €34. However, there were no French fries this lunchtime. Delivery difficulties. A nogo for such a high-priced restaurant. Instead, risotto, puree or potato salad was offered as a side dish. And that with a burger. That doesn't fit at all. So my husband ordered another dish. I had a salad with fillet strips. The salad tasted good, the fillet was very tender, but not seasoned at all. Had to add seasoning, which wasn't so easy because the first salt shaker was empty and the second one was almost empty. When I paid I noticed that the fillet was tender but not seasoned. There was no regret or apology. We definitely won't eat here again. Price-performance ratio is not right in my opinion.

We hadn't just been outside inside

In my opinion, unfortunately the price-performance ratio was not right. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel is no longer on the menu - so it will be difficult for older children to find something. Our 12-year-old daughter was then allowed to order the schnitzel from the children's menu. It was probably very tasty and the portion was ok too. My wife's fish tasted very good, but the portion was simply too small (especially for the price). My burger was not a revelation for €35 and was simply too small. The service was extremely polite. Sometimes you have to wait too long for the food - here it went too quickly for me. By the time the food arrived we had neither managed to drink the appetizer nor order the drinks with the meal. Here you just notice that things have to be done quickly so that every table goes away twice in the evening. From our point of view, there are cheaper alternatives with comparable quality on Norderney. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn't stop here again on our next visit to Norderney.
