Good food, friendly service, and a decent ambiance. Overall, there's still room for improvement. The service was as it should be: friendly and attentive. The ambiance lacked something special: modern and simple, with very poor acoustics. The champagne selection is very limited, and there's only one type of mineral water. All in all, this is a high-level review.

We recently had the pleasure of spending a very special evening at Müllers on Norderney - and it was unforgettable in every way. Despite our very short-term request (it was my wife's birthday), the team organized a wonderful table for us with a lot of commitment and flexibility. Even though we weren't sitting in the main room but in the charming chat room of the Hotel 1884, the ambience was simply brilliant: cozy, stylish and perfect for a special occasion. The food was fantastic - every dish was a culinary highlight, lovingly prepared and tasted of the highest level. We were particularly impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the entire team, who looked after us well throughout the evening. We are incredibly grateful for this experience and can recommend Müllers on Norderney without reservation. A big thank you to the entire team for this wonderful evening, which we will remember for a long time!

We were with the family at Müllers on Norderney. We had a nice table and were warmly welcomed. It's chic but not mega-fine-dining. Prices are salty, portions vary greatly. Wiener Schnitzel large portion, pasta small portion. Very difficult for vegetarians (although Nelson Müller wrote a book about vegetarian cuisine) and absolutely not recommended for vegans. The bottom line is that it wasn't worth it, even if the food was delicious. Of course, the boss is usually not there either. Not recommended when accompanied by children. Overall, no recommendation.

Enjoyed excellent food and well-stocked wines yesterday and today. We were there on April 19, 2025 with 4 people and we really enjoyed it. Very nice and polite service, nice atmosphere (we first sat on the veranda and had an aperitif and then went inside to eat), very tasty food and solid value for money (there are more expensive restaurants on Norderney...). I had the fjord trout as a starter and then the veal cheeks, both recommended. So, we will see the Müllers again on our next vacation on Norderney.

An evening at Müllers on Norderney – simply unforgettable! As soon as we entered the restaurant we felt welcome. The ambience? A perfect mix of comfort and style. The highlight was of course the food: a true explosion of taste! We were particularly impressed by the 3-course menu – perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wine recommendation was also really excellent. What we were particularly pleased about was the service. Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. Here you can tell that people work with passion. For us, Müllers is the best address on Norderney if you want to eat exceptionally well and feel completely at home. We'll definitely be back!

Last night I was at Müllers on Norderney with my husband and my dog. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and immediately felt at home. Our waitress Angelina was really great. She was particularly accommodating, friendly and had a smile on her face the whole evening. For starters we had cream of asparagus soup and bouillabaisse. The main course was eggplant cordon bleu and zander (catch of the day). All the food was fantastic!! For this reason, of course, there was also dessert. The Kaiserschmarrn with strawberries and yoghurt ice cream were a dream. Conclusion: we will definitely come back next time we visit Norderney! It's absolutely worth it. Ambience great! Waiter great! Food great! Thank you very much for the wonderful break! We'll be raving about it for a long time!

We are regular guests on Norderney but were at Müllers for the first time this year and were really THRILLED. Of course the food isn't cheap but it's worth every cent/euro. Great service, the best currywurst (I had it - everyone else was also very happy with their food, schnitzel and veal cheeks), delicious wines, a very tasteful ambience and the aperitif on the terrace with a view of the North Sea - enjoyment for every North Sea fan. Really highly recommended

We were at Müllers Norderney on Thursday. I can only say it was amazing. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. I had the veal currywurst with Belgian fries, and the price of €17.50 was absolutely reasonable. We'll definitely be back next time. This was our second time there, so it can't be bad. Thanks to the whole team.

Absolutely top-notch! During my stay at the Hotel "1884," I also visited Müllers. That evening remains a culinary and gastronomic highlight for me. The staff provided incredibly good service. Courteous but not intrusive. Super friendly and competent. The ambiance offers a wonderful sea view combined with modern, upscale decor. The food is the centerpiece of the restaurant. A fantastic menu that offers something for every taste. A mix of modern interpretations of classic dishes and high-quality, unusual dishes offers a perfect selection for every palate. The quality of the food is exceptional. Here, gastronomy is "lived," and guests notice it. An absolute recommendation.

Really good restaurant with competent staff and excellent food

Overall a disappointment. We ate better and cheaper elsewhere. We found the service particularly annoying. The ladies and gentlemen always moved quickly and almost ran. That's why it was restless and uncomfortable. The cocktail alone on the terrace with a view of the sunset was nice. We wouldn't visit again.

We have been to Müllers on Norderney twice so far and were very satisfied with the food both times. The fish of the day and the fried fish are highly recommended.

Really great ambience and a very nice location... but unfortunately the service was absolutely subpar.... Ordered a bottle of wine and then was ignored... got up after 25 minutes and left... no one was interested... never again✌🏻

The furniture in the guest room consists of garden chairs. The wardrobe is simply hung open... countless coats and jackets on top of and next to each other. Unfortunately, the food was just average. I heard from a star kitchen hoped for much more. The selfie-addicted guests are annoying. Don't have to go there anymore... Oh yes: 0.1 liter of wine costs 12 euros 😀

An absolute experience! Very nice atmosphere and top service - not intrusive but always there. The appetizers are particularly worth highlighting! The Balik salmon tartare and the yellowfin mackerel sashimi were sensational!

Burger quality is very good but at 35 euros it is more than well paid. The service was very friendly, but a little over the top at times. There was never a lack of explanations and instructions at the table ;) We were surprised by the furnishings, which are certainly a matter of taste. As far as chairs and tables are concerned, you could have discovered them in a Danish manufacturer's furniture store. But as I said, it's a matter of taste. Access to the restaurant could be better lit in the evening.

The fish of the day, fresh cod on baby spinach and mashed potatoes was incredibly tasty. 😋

Wer mit dem guten Namen von Nelson Müller ein Lokal bewirbt, sollte wenigstens den Anspruch haben, auch wenn der "Meister" nicht vor Ort ist, ordentlich zu kochen und Gäste freundlich zu bedienen. Letzteres ist bei unserem Besuch gelungen, aber die Qualität der Speisen war nicht akzeptabel. Nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch am Nachbartisch gab es lange Gesichter. Bei einem Kostenaufwand von € 200,00 inkl. einer einfachen Flasche Wein für 2 Personen kommt man sich reichlich geneppt vor. Keine Empfehlung und 2 Punktestatt 1 Punkt nur wegen des freundlichen Service.

Kitchen party on October 6th, 2024: The guests came from all walks of life and all seemed to have fun the evening. The atmosphere was relaxed. Everyone was allowed to pursue their culinary preferences at any time and eat up and down the menu. The stations were occupied throughout the evening and guests could try and eat anything according to their taste at any time. The evening was musically accompanied by a saxophonist and Nelson's singing voice. Top & definitely recommended

There is better on Norderney. There were four of us with a starter and dessert, but the fish dishes for €60 were more of a starter and the quantity offered was outrageous. We then went out to eat something

For us one of the highlights of our stay on the island! Very nice atmosphere, extremely attentive and friendly service. We chose the menu including wine accompaniment, exactly the right decision. Great menu, creative and varied, well presented and well prepared. Price-performance absolutely ok. In our opinion that was definitely star level.

The food was sensational. Extremely friendly service. A fine selection of wines and a more spectacular view of Juist. A visit to this restaurant is a must when staying in Norderney!

Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem wunderschönen Gebäude, mit einzigartigem Blick aufs Meer. Der Service war enttäuschend, es ist ein Unding, wenn von 4 Personen nur 3 ihre Vorspeise gleichzeitig erhalten und die vierte Person erst, nachdem die anderen schon fertig sind. Der Hauptgang (Burger) war fad, deutlich schlechter als in einem der üblichen Burger-Restaurants, dafür aber doppelt so teuer. Insgesamt ernüchternd.

We had a great afternoon/evening at Müllers. We sat there from about 4 to 8:30 p.m. Weather was great and we were able to use the sun terrace. There was a DJ there that day who played at a comfortable volume. The service was really great. We kept an eye on everything and always made sure we were well looked after. We found the food very good. Everything tasted excellent and was also great to look at. We would definitely come again.

The food was really fantastic. The DJ's extreme loudness was negative. I could hardly understand my wife. This is still a restaurant and not a disco or the milk bar. This is definitely not pleasant for the hotel guests. The second point is that we were informed 5 minutes after dessert that the table was needed, and we had also ordered drinks, which we should then take elsewhere. The 2 hours for our reservation weren't over either. After a 200 euro bill an absolute no go! Otherwise the service was very friendly.

We were looking forward to a great meal, but unfortunately we were partly disappointed. Firstly, the mineral water was not chilled. We didn't ask beforehand whether we wanted this to be room temperature or cold, so we assumed, like other restaurants, that it would be served cold. Then my husband was looking forward to the burger for €34. However, there were no French fries this lunchtime. Delivery difficulties. A nogo for such a high-priced restaurant. Instead, risotto, puree or potato salad was offered as a side dish. And that with a burger. That doesn't fit at all. So my husband ordered another dish. I had a salad with fillet strips. The salad tasted good, the fillet was very tender, but not seasoned at all. Had to add seasoning, which wasn't so easy because the first salt shaker was empty and the second one was almost empty. When I paid I noticed that the fillet was tender but not seasoned. There was no regret or apology. We definitely won't eat here again. Price-performance ratio is not right in my opinion.

In my opinion, unfortunately the price-performance ratio was not right. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel is no longer on the menu - so it will be difficult for older children to find something. Our 12-year-old daughter was then allowed to order the schnitzel from the children's menu. It was probably very tasty and the portion was ok too. My wife's fish tasted very good, but the portion was simply too small (especially for the price). My burger was not a revelation for €35 and was simply too small. The service was extremely polite. Sometimes you have to wait too long for the food - here it went too quickly for me. By the time the food arrived we had neither managed to drink the appetizer nor order the drinks with the meal. Here you just notice that things have to be done quickly so that every table goes away twice in the evening. From our point of view, there are cheaper alternatives with comparable quality on Norderney. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn't stop here again on our next visit to Norderney.

The Wagyu burger and fries were absolutely brilliant and with a view of the sea.

It was a very nice evening with very tasty food and good wine. The service was impeccable throughout. It was great that our son was given something to paint and the service responded very well to him, which is something we're used to in this type of exclusive restaurant. Thanks for that. It should be clear to everyone that it is of course a bit more expensive, you also get the corresponding quality and not convenience.

Service very attentive, greeting from the house absolutely average, not to say taste boring, you can get smarter and definitely more demanding for the palate in significantly cheaper restaurants, portion sizes are a complete joke, declaring a risotto for just under 30 euros as a main course, that's still It doesn't even have the appropriate size for a starter...that's pretty cheeky, unfortunately there's no taste of sloppiness either, a leaf salad for 15 euros, unfortunately there was no trace of pickled vegetables, see menu...oh yes, one tiny piece of baby corn that tasted sour. The house dressing was bland. A pity. We sat in the middle of the room, unfortunately not very comfortable, the side view of the sea was nice. Conclusion: once and not again, all the more annoying since it was a birthday dinner and was supposed to round off the vacation, the opposite was actually the case...

We had reserved two months before and asked for a table by the window (requested because of our wedding anniversary); unfortunately this was not taken into account. Bread and butter is not a greeting from the kitchen... on Saturdays in the first round at 6 p.m. even a meat dish (1 of 3) cannot be ordered is not acceptable in a restaurant in this price range. The second “meat dish choice” also had its hurdles - the wild garlic spaetzle side dish was already out; In return came watery spaetzle with no taste. Overall, the starters/main courses were very manageable. The staff tried hard, but semi-professionally. Unfortunately, it's not enough if reputation precedes... reality disappoints. We were ready for the price, and we would have liked to have been for the performance.

The food is excellent and the service is very good

We were there this afternoon, admittedly with some expectations. “Müller” is known as “TV chef”. A friendly lady took our jackets from us at the entrance. Since I had my wallet and keys in there and I wanted to take them out, it obviously took the very friendly lady a little too long. The restaurant was about 1/10 occupied. I judge the following assessment by the name, but especially by the price/performance ratio of this restaurant. At the table: It took a little too long before someone from the service came. Drink order ok, Wine, water, but the small beer (0.25L) from the island brewery was very wet when it was put on the table. Better: If a beer mat would be too unsightly for this restaurant, dry the glass or offer a napkin. Then the food order: 2 main courses and a Kaiserschmarren for dessert. The service employee didn't want to include dessert. I said that in my experience the Kaiserschmarren takes a little longer and so the kitchen knows. First there was half a slice of sourdough bread with lightly salted butter for everyone. I'll say it in advance: it was the highlight! Well, the food came: Baked fish and veal sausage. Fried fish good, breading too soft, not cross! Decoration very good! Portion clear. With the Swabian potato salad: Consistency good, seasoned too lightly! The sausage etc: Very good, the knife (cutlery) was too dull for this “task”, the Belgian fries were delicious. When we finished, the employee who cleared the empty plates asked if we would like another dessert. We said we would like to have a Kaiserschmarren, as already mentioned. Shortly afterwards the service employee came and also asked what we wanted. It was the same as at the beginning. I said that I had already mentioned that I wanted a Kaiserschmarren. His answer: “If I had taken the order straight away, the dessert would have been brought long ago.” Shortly afterwards the second glass of beer was brought to me behind my back (without making myself noticed). Not the nice kind. Which is quite normal: it took a long time until the Kaiserschmarren was served. Quite tasty, but too greasy. I can't help it, I still gave a tip of around 7% (normal is at least 10%). Conclusion: The atmosphere is very nice. Located right on the beach, just great. Inside, however: The background noise was already borderline, what could happen when it's fully booked?! More textile or wood in some places could help. The “Original Wiener Schnitzel” looked really good. However: Not only was the price-performance ratio of the food served not at all good, the service was really not good. The young man either needs to be better educated, right?? A pity. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos.

We had reserved a table 2 months before. The table assigned to us wasn't anything special, it was just one of the free ones. After we ordered, we were no longer paid attention to. After 40 minutes of waiting, we were told that the food was being served. After 50 minutes we left without food. Our explanation was listened to by the staff in a wordlessly arrogant manner and without even a hint of apology. I've never left a restaurant like that in 50 years... We left a calling card in case there were 2 more glasses of wine or other costs.

Had dinner at Müller's yesterday. We had a great table with a view of the sea. We started with a Chandon Garden Spritz. Simply a fantastic drink. Afterwards there was delicious bread with salted butter as a greeting from the kitchen. We also ordered this again. As a starter we had Hereford beef tartare and Müller's smoked salmon with tartare. And as a main course, veal cheeks and again the Hereford beef tartare. Yuzu sorbet with champagne for dessert. Everything was really delicious. And it was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

We went to Müller's for lunch today. The Wiener Schnitzel was buttery and delicious with cranberries and Belgian fries. The burgers are also highly recommended. First there were toasted slices of bread with salted butter. We ate there very quietly in a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would like to come again.

Wir sind nach der Silvesterparty und einer Geburtstagsfeier im Mai jetzt zum ersten Mal auch im Hotel 1884 und genießen täglich das tolle Frühstück und mehrfach das fantastische Abendessen im Müller's. Die Location im perfekt restaurierten historischen Gebäude ist ein Traum direkt am Meer. Ganz besonders für Norderney ist das "Müller's- und 1884-Team! Ausnahmslos sind alle sehr professionell, aufmerksam und freundlich. Top Management! Wir sind begeistert und danken sehr für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft auf hohem Niveau. Bis bald.

We were very satisfied with the friendly and attentive service. The food was perfectly prepared and tasted fantastic. Very nice rooms, tastefully decorated. A small but at worst unpleasant disadvantage is a single step in the restaurant area that is not so easily recognizable. Risk of injury! This must be constantly pointed out by service personnel. This should have been planned better.
