I visit this restaurant several times a year. The food (Polish cuisine) tastes excellent, just like Mom's cooking. The schnitzel, cabbage rolls, and Szegediner Krautfleisch (a type of cabbage and meat dish) are especially recommended. The decor and the restaurant itself are a bit rustic, but the quality more than makes up for it. It's self-service on the terrace. The price-performance ratio is excellent!

The food is first-class. You'll never find such delicious local dishes in Poland as here. I'm a picky eater, but your dishes were perfectly seasoned. I recommend them.

The stench of grease hits you from the very entrance. The kitchen is open and you can see into it, but I don't consider it a plus, as you can see the chaos and the chef using the microwave to heat up various foods. The Hungarian pancake itself was good, but the goulash? Underseasoned, thickened with flour, and very bland. It's clear this restaurant caters to German customers who enjoy this type of food, but this is NOT a Polish restaurant. A restaurant like this wouldn't exist in Poland with such delicious competition. I don't recommend it, which is a shame, because the place really has great potential. The waitress was very nice.

The staff, if any, were completely overwhelmed. -I ordered at the counter, and only one employee was filling drinks at a time. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I left without ordering. There was no service.

The food is 10/10. It's like your mom or grandma's home. Pierogi are incredibly delicious, and flaki are just as delicious! The service is like a cafeteria but still very good. 👍🏻 The ambiance and decor are more like a beer garden... so nothing special. But the food is typically Polish and simply unbelievably delicious.

The restaurant is located in Schwanheim, directly on the Main River, in an allotment garden. You can get your own food and drinks at the counter. There's a large outdoor seating area. My favorites are the tripe soup and the schnitzel. Schnitzel comes in three different sizes, so everyone should be able to eat their fill. Recommended for anyone nearby who wants to eat good, affordable schnitzel.

The roulade with red cabbage is absolutely delicious, and the homemade dumplings are fantastic. The service is super friendly. If I'm ever in Schwanheim, this is a must!

I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. As soon as you enter, you notice an unpleasant smell and general dirt - it's hard to believe that anyone would allow guests to enter such a place. We had to clean the mirror at the tables ourselves to make it look good. Food? Far from fresh - everything tasted like reheated leftovers, completely tasteless or oversalted. Owner ladies Two ladies who, instead of even pretending to be polite, were rude and unpleasant from the very beginning. The situation ended in an argument that could have been avoided if they had at least once tried to treat the guests with respect. I don't recommend it.

The main thing here is meat. Only one vegan dish (veggie burger), which also doesn't taste good. I really don't have to go here anymore. However, there is a very nice service.

I've eaten there several times. It's always very tasty. This time we sat outside in the garden because the weather was so nice. If you want to eat outside, you order your food in the restaurant, you are given a small radio device (I unfortunately forgot the name of it), when the food is ready, the device beeps and you get your food yourself. The same applies to the drinks. If there is little to do, the order will be brought out to you. The staff is really very friendly. Can really recommend the restaurant: Zum Nussbaum.

The quality of the food there is not great. It's a bit like eating in a canteen. The service is OK, but here too there isn't really anything that stands out positively.

I can really only recommend the walnut, we've been here for a long time. I got to know this garden restaurant through the barometer. The schnitzels are so good, the potato pancakes with goulash are also really tasty, the beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings is also a poem, the liver dumpling soup and the zurek soup are just as delicious, the cakes are very good. So all in all, very tasty. Portions are good too. Go and enjoy 👍🏻🫶🏻

Schnitzels are a MUST here! I always enjoyed being there. Now it is a self-service restaurant. For every order we have to get up and go to the counter... Next time we'll definitely have to fry our schnitzel and wash the dishes ourselves. The food is still delicious, but I would like to be served in the restaurant. If they have enough staff again, I might come back again. We wanted to go there soon with 15 people, so we'd rather avoid that Addendum: just saw a la carte at Hessen - pierogies prepared by the boss, maybe go there again...

I had been on a recent 10 day trip around EU with my wife of Polish heritage , her brother & his wife. What do we eat in Frankfurt the night before we fly home I ask? We go round & round on options & go deep into all of the food options & we took a chance on Polish & ended up going to Zum Nussbaum. We sit in a large restaurant with several locals seated around. We had a little difficulty communicating with the staff as there was an “IT outage” at the time and our translate function was not working properly on our mobile phones, what to do? We speak to the locals seated next to us & our luck, they do speak English. We started with an assortment of pierogies which was fantastic. Followed up with the main courses, the Wife ordered Rinderroulade, I got a Steak & the Bro in law ordered Glumke which I believe was off the menu or we simply couldn’t find it on the menu. Ordering in German at a Polish restaurant when you don’t speak either language during an “It outage” is an experience, but one that paid off. We got to speak to the locals who were more than happy to lend their help & our reward was the meal to come. Absolutely delicious food & a bit entertaining at the same time. The deserts we left in the hands of our waitress & she did not disappoint with some traditional Polish cake(s). If you like us are looking for some good food, maybe something a bit different that is made with some Polish love, you will not be sorry choosing Zum Nussbaum. Dziekuje (pronounced Jen-ku-ya) I learned is Polish for thank you. Dziekuje Zum Nussbaum team! We loved it!

First of all: I know Polish cuisine very well. I can't understand the many very good reviews. The most important thing: the food tastes very good! Zurek was a success and the beef roulades with dumplings and red cabbage were very tasty, all homemade. But unfortunately that was it... The ambience is a disaster: the entrance to the restaurant, the large hall resembles a canteen, the terrace carelessly decorated. The restaurant is located in an allotment garden; there is a clubhouse feel. The homepage suggests something different, I think. Inside you will be served and food will be brought, but not outside. We were irritated, especially since the staff was cleaning up on the terrace. You get a “pager” for the terrace and pick up your food yourself. Staff cold, no smiles. In my opinion, this is not a typical Polish restaurant, but a German restaurant with a few Polish dishes (which were immediately translated into German on the menu: "Pierogi" can be found here as "Maultauschen" etc.) Most (German) guests ordered Schnitzel with fries. A standard drink such as "compote" is not offered. Price-performance ratio rather poor. And here too: unfortunately only cash payment. Dear Polish restaurateurs: you have so much potential and you're not using it, it's a real shame!

The food was very good, but the hand cheese was unfortunately chilled and therefore not really good. But the schnitzel was great, large portion and tasty. You had to listen to sayings like “Don’t you have eyes in your head?” when you asked for the salad... there’s definitely another way! A pity. Unfortunately, we have now been disappointed with the food twice in a relatively short period of time. This has always been great so far. There is no service. You have to get your own drinks and food. The Hungarian potato pancake was dripping with fat, and we found the schnitzel covered in a thick sludge of so-called cream sauce. The fries were lukewarm, small portion and lots of dry potato pieces. No love on the plate, such as herbs, decorations, etc. So far this has really been a top restaurant with a nice beer garden. You could hear the schnitzels being made in the kitchen. And now this service and the quality of the food are starting to crack. If this continues, the guests will stay away. That would be a shame! Please be sure to offer quality again.

I've heard about the Nussbaum several times and today I was there for the first time with my friend and dog. Very nice reception! The dog was immediately given water and treats were also given. ☺️ Really nice staff, service was great. I was very happy to finally find another restaurant that didn't just serve typical German cuisine! Drinks & food came to us quickly. As for the food, I have to say it was super delicious! Good portions for an absolutely fair price! We like to come here more often! ☺️

Cozy garden restaurant with Polish/German cuisine. Very friendly and considerate staff. Toilets very clean. Parking spaces are available, and in summer the terrace invites you to linger. It's barrier-free! There are Polish beers and spirits. But also usual. The food is lovingly handcrafted and tastes great. I had the homemade Maultaschen...great. The schnitzels are freshly pounded, breaded and pan-fried. 150gr, 250gr or 500gr. The sauces are delicious. You can tell it is cooked with love and heart. The stuffed potato dumplings are delicious. The side salad was fresh and tasted perfect. The prices are moderate. Reservation is recommended

Dass das Ambiente so ist wie es ist weiß man. Aber dass keine Heizung an ist bei der Witterung fanden wir heute nicht lustig. Mein Mann frug deshalb ob er den kleinen Ofen anmachen könnte. Die männliche Bedienung hat es wohl versucht aber es klappte wohl nicht. Es war und blieb eiskalt. Und Freundlichkeit etc wird hier auch nicht groß geschrieben. Wir gehen samstags immer essen, aber sowas haben wir in Frankfurt und Umgebung noch nie erlebt. Vom Essen hatten wir uns nach den vielen positiven Bewertungen mehr erwartet. Das Wiener Schnitzel war groß aber extrem dünn und meines Erachtens nicht gewürzt. Die Pommes vom Geschmack gut aber nur lauwarm. Nee nie wieder.

By chance I discovered the sign "Zum Nussbaum" on the way to my workplace and suggested to my wife that we go there for dinner. Today, January 20th, we went there. There are about 8 parking spaces, the access is narrow and if another vehicle comes towards you, you have to move onto the green area, which is less nice. The location corresponds to that of an allotment garden, nothing conspicuous, which I noticed very negatively when we entered the building, which is uncomfortably cold inside. The waitress and the other guests greeted us quite cautiously when we entered. In the front guest room there are about seven tables of different sizes, which together can accommodate perhaps 25 guests, but could be more if you move them together a bit. The menu was handed to us, we were asked about the drinks, after the drinks were served our order was taken from the food. You can get the cutlery and the side salad I ordered very quickly. The food also came in a reasonable time. Up to this point everything was fine and dandy. When I asked if I could turn on the heating or the small stove, I was looked at in surprise, but they tried. What I noticed strangely as soon as I entered was that various guests were sitting there in thick jackets, but I could now understand that because the heater was only set to the lowest setting. The portions in our case, one XL schnitzel each, are large enough, the salad looks appealing but is nothing special and the dressing also has a very intense taste of dill (I hate dill). The salad was not prepared in-house but comes from a ready-made package, you can't say anything against it being fresh. My onion schnitzel was a really nice size (250 g) and the fries that went with it were also sufficient. The negative thing about my schnitzel was that the onions that came with it were dripping with fat and made the whole schnitzel soggy. In my opinion, the fries have already been in the deep fryer several times and are therefore hard. The price-performance ratio is there but still not a clear recommendation from my side. Then I'd rather go to Hofheim if I want to eat an XL or XXL schnitzel (some of you might know the place, otherwise I've already written a review about it with pictures) With a little effort and friendly faces and not just run-of-the-mill, this garden restaurant in the allotment gardens could really become something and unfortunately I can't understand the many positive reviews. The menu is clear and really extensive and the price-performance ratio is given. I hope my review is helpful and I would be happy if you gave it a thumbs up or down accordingly

Mal was ganz anderes, als Döner, Pizza und Pasta. Echte, frische, leckere polnische Küche. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!!!

Niedzielny obiad który był wzięty na wynos kompletna porażka, można było się ziemniakami najeść i jedynie dobry bigos dla tego 2 gwiazdki . Gołąbki za małe kapusta był tak obślizgła ze nie dało się zjeść nie wiem mrożone gotowane po 10 razy . Pierogi ruskie stare pomieszane ze świeżymi i niestety stare były tak słone ze trafił jedynie do kosza .

Okropne miejsce.zimno i po prostu brzydko.jedzenie mega słabe.pierogi z mięsem w środku były czerwone z powodu jakiegoś barwnika chyba.surowki sam kwas.

Bestes Schnitzel, die Roulade mit wirklich selbst gemachten Klößen ein Genuss und die Kuttelsuppe ist die beste die ich je gegessen habe. Das Ambiente ist einfach nur urig und gemütlich. Die Chefin bedient noch selbst. Und das merkt man.

3,5 * Wir hatten Rinderrouladen mit Klößen, Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes und Cordon Bleu mit Kroketten dazu jeder ein Getränk für zusammen gut 50€ Preis Leistung ist hier voll in Ordnung. Das es sich um ein Gartenvereinsrestaurant handelt ist es sicher im Sommer draußen schöner als in der kalten Zeit drinnen, da fehlt es uns an Atmosphäre. Bedient wird von zwei Frauen die das Lokal wohl schon ein paar Jahre betreiben.

Gastfreundlich, gemütlich, gutbürgerliche Küche, lecker und preiswert!!!
