We went there with friends and ate VERY well. The kitchen is simply recommended. Despite being busy, the service was friendly, polite and humorous. Unfortunately it's not that common these days

Good day, We have been there several times, whether for breakfast or the main courses, and are more than impressed with the food, the atmosphere and the always cheerful staff. Where can you still find these factors today? The presentation of the food and the price-performance ratio are consistent. Anyone who comes to Rudow should not miss stopping by this traditional inn. We wish the hosts continued satisfied guests.

If you want a great breakfast with super friendly service staff, this is the place for you. Various breakfast foods from sweet to savory (waffles/scrambled eggs/sausage/cheese/fruit/salmon) so everything you could want for breakfast is offered here. Thank you very much for allowing us to be your guests, we would be happy to come back. Update: After a year we were allowed to be guests again. The quality of the breakfast was as impressive as it was a year ago. The friendly, attentive staff was great again this year. Thank you very much, it was great again.

One of the few restaurants with good German cuisine. The service is friendly and very good. Likewise the food, freshly prepared the schnitzel breaded ourselves! The dessert Kaiserschmarrn is also a dream. I'll definitely be back.

A real Viennese schnitzel, delicious and hot to the last bite and a Kaiserschmarren that also deserves the word Kaiser. In addition, there are 2 very attentive waitresses who round off the whole evening with unobtrusive but top-notch service. I'll be happy to come back, even if the fries cost 1.50 more instead of potato salad, which I don't fully understand but it's ok.

Spontaneous stop Sunday at 7:30 p.m it was said "No more kitchen today!" Reservations were made including cutlery...?!! A pity!!!

A trip to Alt-Rudow is worth it. We didn't expect such an appealing menu and the super friendly, perfect service. We actually chose the restaurant because it was close to an appointment. The pleasant surprise was all the greater. Compliments to the kitchen, you'll be happy to come back. In any case, we have already recommended the Alten Krug Rudow several times.

In the “Zum Alten Krug” you will find good German home cooking. The food is freshly prepared and you can taste it.

Why should I describe something here? - I was a guest here twice with small groups and the stay was warm on the part of the service staff, the various dishes were to everyone's complete satisfaction, i.e. without any complaints. 5 🌟 are fully justified and a recommendation is out of the question. Everything is fine, book a table now!! Sorry for visitors with disabilities, I didn't pay attention to whether it's barrier-free or not, calling will definitely help!

Rustic atmosphere with traditional German cuisine. With the varied weekly menu, you'll never get bored. Beef rump for the gods. The Kaiserschmarren at the end was an absolute blast. We were here for the first and last time. Roast pork with napkin dumplings and sweet sauerkraut almost ruined my day. The dumplings looked like dead toasted slices of bread and that's how they tasted. Meat was hard and dry...The sauce was quite good, as was the service

Cheese breakfast and jug breakfast very tasty and filling. Really very good value for money. For monument protection reasons, no ramp is allowed at the entrance, but the 2 small steps can be managed with a walker and wheelchair. There are no obstacles in the beer garden in front of it.

Come to the Old Krug once every year. Reminds me of my childhood, just the traditional Berlin food. Simply great. Beer too.

Food was great. We were there for the first time. Very inconspicuous from the outside. Price performance is also great. The equipment is a bit older. But it fits the house. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. Service was super nice. I will definitely come again.

The visit to “Zum Alten Krug” was very tasty. The food was very well prepared and presented on beautiful plates, and the taste was simply great. The service was very attentive and friendly, people kept asking if anything else was needed.👍 Unfortunately I have to deduct something for the ambience, because the house needs/should be renovated a bit, starting with the toilets, house facade,... Nevertheless, a clear recommendation to enjoy the delicious food there.

Schweinebraten was good, it was not the tender one. However, the sauce was very good and crispy part was served together with meat. I was thinking to have Kartoffelknödel, but actually Semmelknödel was served. The Semmelknödel was one of the best of I had in my life, it was cooked with a lot of butter. We had Kaiserschmarrn for a dessert, and it was the best one I ever had!

We were there spontaneously on Friday and are more than satisfied! Everything is just right. Service, food, atmosphere! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now we will probably stop by more often because the menu leaves nothing to be desired. 💪

A quaint place with very nice staff and delicious food! We always have a great time at the Alter Krug and we'd love to come back! Individual wishes are responded to empathetically. If I could wish for something else: something more vegetarian or even vegan would make my heart beat a lot faster, but I always find something that way. 😋

Very good food and no matter when you go there is always great and absolutely friendly service. So we always like to go there again. It's especially nice to sit outside there in summer! Value for money also deserves 5 stars!

Tipical German restaurant few mesls but hot and fresh. Great apfel strudel, really tasty.

The food was a full 5 🌟 and the service was great. We were a group of 10 people. However, we couldn't understand one little thing. For this reason we were given a different / probably smaller menu and for one dish someone wanted fried potatoes instead of another side dish and that was a problem from the waiter's point of view. Why? We didn't understand it. Fortunately, the fried potatoes were available later. What is different with 10 guests in a group than with 10 individual guests? But that was just a problem of understanding on our part and in no way reduces the 5 stars.

Price, performance is not right. Schnitzel okay, fried potatoes burnt, loveless, besides schnitzel and fried potatoes no lettuce leaf etc. Liver okay, everything else is not worth the money. Lukewarm, staff very nice, once and not again.

As always, it was beautiful. This time a birthday table. Was really excited. Thank you very much for your effort. Even though it was busy, I was always impressed by the friendly service.

All the food was delicious. Only the leg of lamb wasn't appropriate for the price. You had to look for the side dish of polenta and baked carrots on the plate.

A real surprise. Kudos to chef. Veal schnitzel nicely breaded and thin. Fries a little too light and not enough, but tasty. My girlfriend's pork schnitzel was equally good. She even had a side salad (not included with the Wiener Schnitzel). Dessert Kaiserschmarrn. Extremly good. Raisins on the plate, currant jam and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The highlight was the caramelized powdered sugar, which forms a delicious crust. Overall 5/5 for the food!

We have been there again for a long time. The new management seems to be working very well and stably. Service very good and quick. We requested a table for nine people at very short notice and they made it possible with a few rearrangements. Top! Really good service despite the restaurant being full. Eating at the same time and down to earth is good. Prices have increased, but are now within normal limits. So we would like to come back here more often, especially since Wanze is a 10-minute walk away.

An ancient, cozy inn with very tasty home-cooked food and a great breakfast. If you want to be on the safe side, you should book a table in advance. We were lucky, the service staff worked hard to accommodate 8 people. Thank you very much, we would be happy to come back.

Very slacked off. Pfanni mashed potatoes don't work at all! Table for 5 people are only allowed to choose 3 dishes. But the other 20 in the room can order across the board, huh???

Had the meatloaf which was ok but I have to say it tastes better when I make it at home. But the shrimps in white wine stock were very tasty and Kaiserschmarn as dessert was different but tasty in itself. The service was attentive and friendly. Ambience, well, rustic I would say 😉 Meatloaf price/performance OK and the shrimp was just about OK. Otherwise a manageable menu, which I personally think is good if you don't get overwhelmed by a flood of dishes. We were asked out at 10 p.m....well, ok during the week too.

We reserved seats and that was a good thing. From 6 p.m. the restaurant was very, very busy. It shows that everything is right here. The menu speaks for itself. Anyone who appreciates home-style German cuisine has come to the right place. In addition, there is friendly and quick service. The atmosphere in the rooms is relaxed. You can tell that people feel comfortable. There are certainly a lot of regular guests among them.

We came without a reservation and the service personnel managed to squeeze us in which was amazing. She catered to us attentively and made sure we had a good time. The food was a classical traditional highlight paying proper homage to German Cuisine. It was a perfect evening with a perfect meal at a perfect traditional restaurant.

Once again the waitress' failed attempt to come across as funny, unfortunately bordering on "snippy"! But the food was (to make up for it?) prepared well and quickly!

Man merkt, dass versucht wird den Spagat zwischen Preis und Portion hin zu bekommen nach der Erhöhung der Mehrwertsteuer. Die Preise sind relativ stabil geblieben. Bei den Portionen wurde eingespart. Meine Meinung, lieber 2€ mehr aber dafür satt.

Hervorragende Altberliner Lokalität...mit Servicepersonal,bei dem man sich willkommen fühlt. Essen gutbürgerliche Küche,sehr frisch.

Scheinbar gibt es für Gruppen eine extra Karte, die kleiner als die normale ist. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Die Blutwurst war ausgezeichnet. Der Sauerkohl akzeptabel. Unverständlich, dass die Küche nicht imstande war, das Kartoffelpüree gegen Bratkartoffeln auszutauschen. Schade.

Eine sehr gemütliche Lokalität. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service wunderbar.

Essen war top kann man nichts sagen. Bedienung auch sehr freundlich. Allerdings darf man wenn man ein Tisch reserviert hat für 10 Person nicht mehr alles von der Karte bestellen sondern es wird einige Produkte einen vorgeschlagen das war ein wenig schade aber sonst kann ich nicht meckern
