Very good restaurant. The welcome and the setting are friendly, the Berlin cuisine is very good.

Nice restaurant on the Spree and close to the Jannowitzbrücke. Ate here twice and both times it was delicious. The staff are friendly and hospitable and there is a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

This was the best restaurant during my stay in Berlin. From the service to the taste, it was perfect. I want to come again, it was the happiest moment.

Wonderful, delicious German cuisine - and some Spree water too! :-) Unfortunately closed on December 23rd, 2023. I will miss the delicious food. New restaurant with new operator from mid-January 2024. Update of new operators: No longer comes close to the old days, but still good and friendly new operators.

The restaurant is very lovingly and tastefully decorated. To put it bluntly, the atmosphere is very cozy. The service was good and our wishes were fulfilled to our complete satisfaction. Unfortunately there was a noticeable lack of food. This could be remedied, but the mood was also badly disturbed due to the loss of time. Every attempt was made to ultimately satisfy us. Despite the incident, I would have liked to give it 4 stars, but I was shocked by a sum on the bill: “surcharge” - without explanation. That shouldn't be the case, especially since we gave a decent tip. Too bad…..

We went after Berlin Marathon, and the meal was exactly what we needed! Such a great time with Clyde, he was very attentive and fun!

We had a great time at the restaurant. Decor full of history, great food ( feels home made) and service was flawless. Clyde was super welcoming with our group and gifted us with some shots to celebrate our dinner in the end.

A small restaurant located by the canal. The restaurant is decorated with maritime items. The food is tasty and comes to the table straight from the kitchen and is very hot. The place is a bit hidden but easy to find.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the lady at the ticket booth for our boat trip on the Spree and we were not disappointed, everything was very freshly prepared and very tasty and there was great service UPDATE: A YEAR LATER IT WASN'T THAT GREAT ANYMORE new operator and definitely worse food 👎 we definitely won't go there anymore

We found this very nice restaurant by chance. We received a very friendly welcome and were assigned the last two free places. Despite the good visit, we were served quickly and very courteously. The menu was half northern German maritime, half Italian. We really enjoyed our chosen dishes. Unfortunately it was our last evening in Berlin, otherwise we would have definitely gone there several more times. It was the first visit but you felt like you were with friends. Maybe we'll come to Berlin again, then it'll be a fixed point.😀

My family and I had the Marinehausschnitzel and a portion of pasta with 4 cheeses. The service employee was friendly but also a little inexperienced in the area of ​​service. Plates were not cleared throughout the entire stay until we left the restaurant, similar to a self-service beer garden. The restaurant itself is wonderfully furnished, but it was the previous owners for many years, which is why we made a reservation there. The change didn't fundamentally change the menu or furnishings, but an additional pizza and pasta menu made me skeptical. The schnitzel is from the deep fryer and is bone hard (probably ordered ready-made and cut incorrectly), even the fried egg on top was too dry. At the end we asked how it tasted, we complained about the schnitzel, we were then offered to make the schnitzel again, but we wanted to leave at that point and declined. From a kitchen perspective, it looks like a fast food restaurant (or rest stop) that largely uses convenience food. This in no way justifies the prices, which seem far too high to us after the visit. Due to our positive experiences in the past, before changing operators, we were unfortunately extremely disappointed. We won't come back again.

I try so hard not to leave bad reviews but here we are.. If you are a tourist looking for authentic German food.. this is NOT the place. Avoid it and go somewhere else. I was there with my family for my mother-in-laws birthday. She was a big fan of this restaurant and was an occasional guest for the last 20 years. My husband was also excited to be going there, hoping to eat some good seafood. They haven't been back in years but was feeling optimistic. They were met with disappointment. Unfortunately the owners have changed and the quality of food and service plummeted. We ended up ordering schnitzel because we were skeptical of anything else on the menu. We were right about our gut feeling. We felt robbed of money.. I felt awful because it was supposed to be a special day for my mother in law. The schnitzel is not fresh, fried to the point that it was nearly impossible to eat. Even the fried egg was messed up. Out of 6 plates, only one sunny side egg looked acceptable. Our server was friendly but didn't offer much service. Most of us ate our food because we were starving and didn't want to waste our money entirely. But we were all very disappointed and will not return. It's unfortunate because this restaurant had a rich history. The decoration, menus.. all came from the previous owners. It's a beautiful restaurant, great location so I feel sad about what's happening now. I think the previous owners would feel equally as bad if they knew the state of the restaurant now..

New owners took over the store at the beginning of the year. - I think they are Albanians. - Unfortunately little sense of the restaurant's tradition. There are no longer many dishes on the menu that were appropriate for the Marinehaus. Other dishes have received a significant price increase but not much has changed in quality. Simple mediocre. In addition, the menu now also offers pasta and pizza with loose leaves. That doesn't fit at all. My recommendation: completely reposition the store as a pizzeria/pasta restaurant but then without the marine aspect or go back to the roots. You could also incorporate authentic Albanian traditions with a naval aspect. We've been here regularly so far, but at the moment we don't see any particular reason to come here anymore, as we can have this food and this quality anywhere and the special thing is no longer there. We are currently seriously looking for alternatives and probably won't come back. There was an extra star because the people in the restaurant are really nice and make an effort.

New management of the historic restaurant with an expanded international menu. Quality food with good value for money! Friendly service. When the weather is nice, outdoor dining with a view of the Spree. Convenient for transport.

A gem! Tucked away from more popular locations it has all the ingredients for a proper night out. From the warm welcome, friendly service, great food and drink to it's eclectic decor. If you are in the vicinity and want any or all of the above pop in and try. It is our great shame not to live in Berlin... This would be my choice of local.

Unexpectedly good fish restaurant in Berlin. Their sides tasted as good as the grilled fish and octopus. Plus, their staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing service, bought out starters and food as complimentary meals. After a schnitzel we even got a free shot of alcohol and the food quality is amazing!

The restaurant is located in a nice area near the river - my partner and I, along with a group of friends visited the restaurant in June, and since the weather was nice, we could enjoy the outside area. The menu includes both fish and meat, and we went for a entrecôte with potatoes and a schnitzel which came with tzatziki and an egg on top (typical of the restaurant). The dishes were good, without being exceptional, according to our personal taste. The service was very nice, and our water was super available with us, which made our experience pleasant.

Actually quite funny with a nice service, but the quality of the main courses falls just under edible, which isn't great, but when most of the dishes are priced around or over €20, then that's not acceptable. Especially if it's likely to be used to finance the owner's Maserati.

Food was good. As we ate outside which was pleasant, we can't really rate the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful and brought us a schnapps at the end of the meal. Would certainly recommend.

Once upon a time there was a restaurant that we enjoyed visiting until we changed operators. Unfortunately, since January I have noticed that the service is no longer the same. The wait for a beer can now be an hour. It is also not certain whether the beer that was ordered will be brought. Complaints do not result in an apology... That was definitely our last visit. Never again!!!

5 stars go to the location. The restaurant is located directly on the Spree, only separated by a “bicycle street”. The food is okay, but nothing more. We were unlucky with the schnitzel. The tapa plate, however, was quite good. Price/performance doesn't really fit. A pity.

The staff is nice and friendly. We stayed in Berlin for 3 days only but went twice to Marinenhaus due to the food and the atmosphere. The place is highly recommended!

This time two very satisfied people. Unfortunately I would be unlucky, instead of schnitzel I was served the sole of a shoe with lukewarm fried potatoes.

This is not a fancy restaurant. It is a fishing themed fish and steak house and it is excellent. The waiter was friendly and spoke English, which is good because I don’t speak German. The food was well prepared and portioned, the beer was cold and delicious. Would definitely return!

We were in Berlin only for about 5 days - we ate at this restaurant twice, because the food was so very good and quite close to the hotel; however, First time there without reservation - quite rude - second time around, booked via hotel a completely different experience....fabulous food!

Our first meal in Berlin and it didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere, friendly staff who will do their best to communicate in both German and English. The service was exceptionally speedy compared to what I’m used to in most non- US countries. The food was a big portion and SO good. They even gave us a complimentary schnapps and espresso (partner doesn’t drink), on our way out. Paid with a card and was given the option to tip (but felt no pressure), which as an American was appreciated because it took the awkwardness out of “should we tip or not”. Would definitely recommend!

Very well done! Service was great and food even better. We ordered 4 different dishes (schnitzel, cordon blue and chicken) with beers. They offered nice spirit and we spent less than 30€ each. Recommended

Fish platter too sour. The antipasti platter comes with baked rolls instead of regular bread. For over €14 you would expect a lot more. Main courses were schnitzel (which was clearly too dry) and the octopus (also tough as a shoe sole and it costs €26. Overall, the ambience is really nice but the food doesn't do it justice. Based on my experience, I would rather look elsewhere but not here.

The appetizer platter was very tasty and the perfect way to start. After the owner changes, the card may need to be worked on a bit more. Food was fresh but the main course was not warm. It's a shame for the price, which isn't exactly cheap. I was particularly disappointed that the arugula was placed on the plate without anything and was then drizzled with balsamic cream. Unfortunately not mine 😞.

For a long time, the Marinehaus bravely sailed against the storm of the hip monotony of Berlin's new tourist gastronomy. But at the turn of the year the old crew disembarked. The new crew is certainly trying very hard. But unfortunately it lacks the maritime aspect. They moored the boat to the now usual jetty. It's a shame, because longing is now driving us out in search of a new, old port.

I always liked going to the Navy House. The atmosphere was rustic, the food was down-to-earth, the prices were reasonable and the service was good. Now all the simple dishes have disappeared from the menu. The schnitzel is much more expensive than before, but doesn't come close to the quality it used to have. Cheese salad, tomato soup, sailor board - all taken off the menu. A pity!

A pity! We were regulars. Unfortunately the menu has changed to the detriment. Schnitzel and matjes remained and were also delicious. A plate of clear vegetable broth for almost €11 is a disgrace. Nobody needs the overpriced steak menu either. It's a real shame that you didn't take over the wonderful dishes from the previous owners.

Went there for dinner with friends today - the fish starter plate was spoiled, the mixed octopus salad smelled very strong from the plate and couldn't be eaten! We also had fish as our main course - we were very worried that this would end well or that we would get fish poisoning! These dishes: grilled octopus and fried char fillet were okay but presented on the plate without any inspiration! The “char fillet” was more like salmon! Maybe it used to be a good restaurant, but unfortunately I can't confirm that - it's a shame!

We were there on Saturday. The food was good but not cheap, almost as expensive as in Holland. We waited quite a long time for our drinks. Overall pretty 👍. So see you next time

We had a wonderful birthday party with 30 people on January 25th, 2024 in this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely professional and warm. I recommend this restaurant without reservation!

I had dinner at the Marienehaus with a small group on January 26th, 2024. Unfortunately (after the change of operator) the shop no longer has anything maritime to offer on the menu. Only two dishes were taken over from the old menu (schnitzel and matjes). That's a real shame because the shop has a really nice atmosphere and could actually be the perfect restaurant for maritime cuisine. Furthermore, the music selection isn't really suitable and the fact that the supposed management of the store occupies a bar table right next to the bar during business hours and prefers to stare at a laptop instead of placing themselves discreetly in the background doesn't exactly add any value to the experience . My call: If this continues in the future, I predict a rapid decline, which would be a shame.

Unfortunately, Marinehaus is no longer the correct name on the menu, and after the change of ownership there is no longer any maritime cuisine

Ich bin seit einigen Monaten, gemeinsam mit Freunden, regelmäßig in dieses Kneipen-Restaurant gegangen. Dort passte alles: Essen, Trinken, Service, Ambiente, Gäste, Stimmung. Großen Anteil daran haben Wirt, Kellnerin und Köchin. Nun aber musste ich erfahren, dass das Marinehaus schließt. Zumindest vorläufig. Anfang kommenden Jahres soll es, mit neuem Betreiber, wieder öffnen. Die bisher hinterlassenen Fußstapfen sind groß. Ich lass' mich überraschen, hoffentlich positiv. Beste Grüße an die "alte" Besatzung und alles Gute für Euch. Ahoi.

Sehr urige Kneipe wo einfach alles passt. Nostalgisches Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen, tolles freundliches Personal und das zu wirklich fairen Preisen. War ne schöne Entdeckung, haben uns sauber wohl gefühlt und schauen gerne wieder vorbei.

Schönes Restaurant mit maritimen Flair. Wer etwas gutes, bodenständiges Essen und Trinken möchte ist hier genau richtig. Man kann sehr entspannt und in Ruhe essen und sich unterhalten.

Sehr gute Küche, mit großen Portionen bei hervorragender Qualität. Freubdliche und aufmerksame Bedienungen in nettem norddeutschen Flair. Preise angemessen. Meine volle Empfehlung, ich komme immer hierher wenn ich in Berlin bin (4-6 x im Monat).

Supernette Bedienung, richtig lecker es Essen, reichlich gefüllte Teller. Man fährt zig Mal daran vorbei und weiß nicht, was für ein Perlchen sich hinter den Fenstern versteckt. Wir kommen wieder!
