The selection and taste is very good and definitely worth the money. The ambience is timelessly modern and attention is paid to cleanliness. The waitress was very nice, helpful and polite. My insider tip is the yellow curry (excellent) I always enjoy coming here.

I have never seen a more hardworking waiter than Sinan, I even noticed how the tables next to me laughed and were happy, this employee had such a positive attitude, I would personally recommend these employees and give them a salary increase of at least 15%. Since XIAO started offering dishes without glutamate, the range of dishes on offer has changed massively. If you're looking for classic, interchangeable Chinese food, you probably won't find it here straight away, but it feels like the quality has improved in some areas. One negative thing was the frozen beef at the counter where you can put together your own dishes. In general, there were also shortcomings in the service, including the fact that many dishes were sometimes unavailable for a long time. What was catastrophic was the fact that there were often no plates or spoons available.

The food was delicious, the selection of different dishes was great as always, Anita our waitress was an absolute angel, she regularly asked if everything was OK, the drinks always arrived quickly despite the stressful evening and she also dealt well with unfriendly guests (at the next table). Thank you, you were super nice <3 All in all a great evening. I'd love to come again! :)

The food tasted really good. Unfortunately, certain dishes were missing at times. I also noticed that it was difficult to find chicken pieces in a chicken curry bowl. The waiter Sinan took good care of our drinks. The used plates were also cleared away promptly.

Update: We've been to Xiao for a long time, everything was really delicious. Great salad buffet, enough fresh ingredients, satisfied with the taste, you can hardly compare it with all the cheap Chinese places. Even frying is included. Price performance at lunchtime, really good. I wish they would list more allergens directly on the signs.

We were there for the first time on Saturday... The food was simply fantastic with a very nice buffet selection. Our condition “Krystina” was very attentive and very nice. Yesterday the four of us were at XIAO and had a wonderful evening. We quickly got a nice table and were particularly warmly served and advised by our waitress Violetta. The food is really tasty at Xiao and it's nice and bright inside. However, there are restaurants that offer free drinks despite the same price. Having been here several times, I'm sad to say that the drinks are absolute crap considering how expensive even a small glass is. If you order cola or iced tea with ice cubes (or without), 70% of it tastes like water and the rest is an aftertaste. I wonder if they intentionally water down the drinks so they can save on drinks.

We were in Marler Xiao for the first time today, the shop is significantly smaller than the ones we know in Gelsenkirchen and Oberhausen - a very cozy and pleasant atmosphere. When we arrived it was still relatively empty, but when we were finished the hustle and bustle slowly started. We had no waiting times and everything at the buffet was sufficiently available. The offering is varied, fresh and absolutely delicious. The homemade dry passion fruit soda was super refreshing. Service - friendly, courteous and funny. All in all a clear recommendation!

First visit to XIAO. The staff was very friendly, both at reception and at table service. The buffet is attractively and invitingly set up, but sometimes there was a lack of cutlery and a stack of plates was soaked in water (or whatever). Didn't see the bananas on the dessert buffet appetizing, very brown. In terms of taste, the food from the warm buffet was okay but unfortunately only lukewarm, even the soup was at a temperature that was far too low. The food from the grill buffet was still hot when it arrived at the table and tasted ok. Unfortunately, it took too long to refill the empty dishes at the buffet. I expected more from this visit...

We were here when it opened years ago and were already disappointed back then. Now the restaurant was highly praised by friends, so we dared to eat here again. But our opinion could not be changed. Little choice for expensive money. Crossover with other cuisines was not successful. The selection of Chinese dishes is manageable. In addition, some things are overcooked. Only conditionally recommended. Then the music. Ok, the target group is people around 20 years old. But do you have to play bass-heavy music? And then, as a person around 60 years old, you are still called by your first name. Bit disrespectful Cleanliness is also an issue. The restaurant cannot do anything for the users of the toilets. But a cleaner should clean here regularly, especially in the evening hours. And handwashing is obviously overrated since the automatic water jet rarely runs for more than 5 seconds. We'll only come back if we have to. There are much better Chinese restaurants in the area where you can eat cheaper.

The restaurant is modernly furnished and appears spacious and inviting. Even when it's busier, you don't feel cramped and the atmosphere remains pleasant. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive and always made sure that we felt comfortable. For me the price-performance ratio is absolutely top. Especially since the prices have even been reduced. You get a huge selection of high quality food at a really fair price. I can recommend XIAO to anyone who loves Asian food and values ​​quality. I'll definitely be back!

Today we were in a Xiao for the first time, and since we live nearby, we were in Marl. To be honest, we were bitterly disappointed. The selection at the buffet is more of a mix of everything, just not really Asian. If you would like to eat baked shrimp or something similar, you can safely forget about it. Instead, you can have onion rings, chicken nuggets or even an Italian-style pasta casserole with your duck. Unfortunately everything was cold and completely sticky or tough. I didn't even dare try the sushi or the fish to fry because the shop itself was unfortunately absolutely dirty. Unfortunately I can't describe it any other way. The benches were stained and looked more like a bench in front of a public toilet. Leftover food was on the floor, the drinks menu was stuck, the salt and pepper shakers were sticky and stained, and the food from the guest in front of it was still stuck to the plates at the buffet. We're really not fussy, but this was anything but cozy, inviting and, above all, trust-inspiring. Unfortunately, the actually very nice and friendly service doesn't make up for all of this. That was definitely our first and last visit to this location.

During our visit this time, we were informed at the entrance that many guests would arrive spontaneously and that the waiting time could be a little longer. The service staff were nevertheless very attentive and friendly. A reservation is recommended. Prices have now been permanently reduced after Christmas. Lunch buffet during the week starting at €14.90 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and afterwards for €24.90. There are reduced prices for children and young people. On weekends and public holidays, the buffet selection and prices vary slightly. Today on January 1st we were at €27.90/adult.
