My aunt really liked the place, but we were unfortunately disappointed during the week. The ambiance is really nice and the food is good, but the service was so bad that we thought we could run a restaurant. First, they brought the wrong drink, then forgot a dish, and we waited half an hour for dessert despite asking. At least they didn't charge for it, but it wasn't exactly great either.

Today was my first time here. The ambiance was okay, but the tables were too close together for my taste, so you could hear everything from the next table, including when someone sneezes. The iced tea was extremely sweet, and the salad I ordered was served in a wooden bowl lined with baking paper, which I personally don't find very hygienic. Plus, the bottom part of the salad was quite soggy. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

I was absolutely pleasantly surprised, especially after some of the negative reviews. I was there with my family on a Sunday evening: two adults and two children. We spent about €80 in total and ate really well; we were all stuffed. The quality of the food was surprisingly good. With the kids, I tried the chicken fillets; they were tender and crispy, perfect. My wife had a burrito, which was also good and, above all, large. I had a burger myself—I'm very particular about that—and was absolutely satisfied. The meat was tasty and juicy, the rest was deliciously prepared, and overall, it was really worth the money. I often go to the US and have had many delicious burgers there, and this one is absolutely in the right direction. The wait for the food was also absolutely okay, even though the restaurant was probably about three-quarters full—I think we were there for about an hour in total. Absolutely okay. I can recommend it.

A superb location. I can't think of anything comparable. The selection is very large, perhaps even almost too large. The food was very good and plentiful. The wait time was about 30 minutes, which was actually okay, although we were there on a Saturday lunchtime. Very friendly and courteous service. The value for money is good. We will definitely be back.

Three of us went there today. The burger was okay. Unfortunately, we couldn't say the same about the skewer (beef). The meat was cooked thoroughly and there wasn't much of it for the price. It wasn't value for money. We reported this to the waitress. They did apologize, but nothing more. It's a shame, it wasn't classy; a small drink as compensation would have been appropriate. Still, it's a good place to go.

We wanted to eat here because a friend had told us the food was very good. We ordered, and the server was very rude when we asked questions, and was also disrespectful when we mispronounced words and when we asked questions about the food. Furthermore, when we paid, the server insisted on his tip and "forced" us to tip. Then the food: two of my friends and I ordered a churrasco skewer. The meat was very dry and full of tendons. A friend of mine had a chicken taco, which was also dry and simply not tasty. Another friend had a burger, which was very tasty. The atmosphere was very good; there was live music that you could listen to, and the seats were very comfortable.

I'm 71 years old and have eaten plenty of entrecôte in my life; I know what an entrecôte is. My entrecôte was missing the fat; it wasn't an entrecôte. When we complained, we were told that the piece of meat had been delivered as an entrecôte, and it might have been cut differently. It also wasn't delivered medium as ordered, but almost well done. Summary: Starters were great, main course was delivered incorrectly, which was discussed but not seen, desserts were excellent. A small apology would have sufficed, perhaps, as is usual in such cases, an offer of an espresso. But stubbornness doesn't make a satisfied guest, and only satisfied guests return, especially at these high prices. And goodbye.

We ate there yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing. But the service was terrible... We waited over 1:37 for dessert and then canceled it because it still hadn't arrived. There was no apology, nothing. Drinks weren't checked often. What a shame...

We finally managed to visit a Timberjacks, and it was absolutely worth it. The Food A fantastic selection, from farmers market fare and a decent burger to good steaks, tacos, and burritos, American cuisine is well-served here. The quality is significantly better than you'd expect. The dips were divine and truly unique. Everything tasted truly delicious. The desserts have several flavors to choose from, which you can order either as ice cream, a shake, a waffle cone, a cake, or a cream. Strawberry, for example, is available in five different flavors, which is really cool. The cheesecake is amazing, by the way! And my corn on the cob alone… I've never had it that good anywhere else. The drink selection is also great. They have some great lemonades. The Staff Super attentive, always there, super friendly, and above all, helpful. Not irritating, no weird comments… Simply perfect! The Price Level Admittedly, everything costs a little more here, but the prices are absolutely justified. Because you're not just paying for the food, but also for the ambiance and service. The food itself is also of a high quality, so you really can't complain. There are specials on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays where you get mixed plates from one section. For example, on Tuesday we had the taco platter with four different tacos, sweet potato fries, and dips for €19.90. There's nothing to complain about. And it allows you to try a lot. The Ambience: The noise level is okay, but it wasn't completely full. I don't know what it's like when it's really full. But the whole wooden look makes it feel super cozy. It's like you're in another world. Conclusion: Highly recommended!

Everything was within reason, but nothing more. The burrito wasn't that good, had too little cheese and was much too small; it definitely wouldn't fill you up. The fajitas were also rather bland, with too few fresh vegetables compared to the chicken, and the mayo sauce was completely off the mark. Service, however, was very good, friendly, and quick. The atmosphere was also nice, just a bit noisy and quite loud at times.

This is our second time there, and we weren't disappointed. The first time we went for lunch to get to know the place, and then last night with the family. Everyone was absolutely thrilled; whether it was the burgers, chicken, or shrimp, everything tasted fantastic. You can also taste the homemade signature sauces. I was overwhelmed by my first impression. In a huge log cabin with lofty ceilings, we found an impressive ambiance in an upscale saloon style. The food and drink menu left nothing to be desired. The service was excellent and friendly. As a wheelchair user, I had plenty of space, and there was also a large accessible restroom. On certain days, there is live music and bull riding. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's a truly unique experience.

A very bad experience. The steak was tough and inedible, so we had to return it. The meat on the salads and the salad dressing were okay at first, but then, after our meal, it was an absolute horror. My cousin and I both suffered food poisoning after the visit. For us, this is a clear indication of poor quality and hygiene. Absolutely not recommended.

Yesterday, we ate there for the first time with 10 people at 4 p.m. The atmosphere was very nice, and the server was very quick and friendly. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Only the meat in the burgers was a bit dry. However, we were very disappointed that we were kicked out at 7 p.m. because a larger group suddenly wanted to eat. We were immediately charged, even though we still had drinks. That's simply unacceptable. They should warn guests in advance that they can only reserve the tables for a maximum of three hours. Simply outrageous.

We ate at Timberjacks Marl. The ambiance is fantastic, which alone would give it six out of five stars. The service was also very nice and friendly. The onion rings with guacamole were excellent, but the main course was a letdown. The flat iron steak was half medium, half well done, and the striploin was dry and lacking in juiciness. Unacceptable for the price. The potatoes were only lightly salted, and the mushrooms were extremely overseasoned, barely edible. The peppercorn sauce tasted only of pepper and whiskey, with no depth. Even the mango and lemon iced tea seemed like cheap instant tea—sweet and sour, nothing special. In the end, we spent around €120 and felt underwhelmed. It's a shame, because the location is beautiful, but good ambiance is no substitute for good food. We wouldn't come back for dinner.

All around, superb, very tasty, no comparison to the usual fast-food restaurants or chains. Service, despite the very busy schedule, was extremely friendly and on point. The quality of the food was top-notch! Portion sizes were generous. The ambiance was thought out down to the smallest detail. We'd be happy to come back, despite the 50-minute drive. Three people ate steak (€200) and waited almost 90 minutes. We've had better. We got two Caesar salads, which were a disaster, especially the aioli dressing.

I ordered a Caesar salad without chicken and had to wait a whopping 45 minutes for it. When it finally arrived, I was extremely disappointed: The bread pieces were rock hard, they used aioli instead of Caesar dressing, and it didn't taste good at all. Worst of all, for €17, I got a tiny portion – an absolute disgrace! Honestly: Never again.

I think it's a shame, but we've been to your place five times now, including yesterday. Unfortunately, we always have to wait forever for drinks, and yesterday no one even came by our table. We waited almost an hour for drinks, and when the food arrived, our glasses were empty and the staff didn't respond. We wanted to order, but the waiter disappeared. We spent over €75 with you, and we were happy with that, as the atmosphere and the food are great. But the service is terrible, unfortunately. We left after the meal without any more drinks. It's a real shame.

We arrived here with overly high expectations and were disappointed by both the food and the service. The price-performance ratio doesn't do justice to the name and the location. We ordered steaks, and the meat was rather mediocre in quality. The toppings, such as sweet potato fries, were served lukewarm. Cutlery was missing at our table and we had to reorder. In my opinion, there were too few staff for the large areas, which was noticeable when we wanted to reorder something and it took longer for the wait staff to arrive at the table. We were disappointed with the food, which didn't justify the price. The location and ambiance are great and impressive, but a lot of things fell short. In our opinion, more show than substance.

I wanted to enjoy some child-free time with my wife. I had specifically made a reservation, requesting a quiet corner. Where were we seated? Right by the aisle. Then I had to argue with the server about the food I ordered. On top of that, my fillet was almost well-done instead of medium, and it looked like someone had placed a pan on my fillet to get the grill to reach temperatures. We were ignored and then waited 25 minutes for us to be allowed to pay. Yes, I'm talking about being allowed to pay. This time, everything was very disappointing.

My wife surprised me with a visit to Timberjacks for my birthday. The experience was absolutely positive. The atmosphere actually reminded me of my vacation in America, and I really enjoyed it. The food (tacos, pulled pork, rosemary potatoes, and a slice of Snickers cake and wild berry cream for dessert) and drinks (2 cocktails and 2 iced teas) were absolutely delicious. What deserves special mention, however, was our server, Bianca. She made the experience even better. Very attentive, never intrusive, and simply super nice. It's the kind of place you enjoy eating out. This definitely won't be our last visit 😊

It's difficult to give an overall rating for Timberjacks in Marl. The service varies too much under different circumstances. My first visit was on a rainy, cold weekday at the end of the month. The restaurant was moderately busy. We got our reserved table immediately, the waiter took our drinks order, and everything went as expected. Good service, delicious steaks and sides – simply praiseworthy and "nothing to complain about." The second visit was just as enjoyable, and up until then, I still gave it 5 out of 5 stars. The last visit, however, seriously undermined those stars: It was the beginning of the month, the place was packed, so despite having a reservation, we had to wait. When we were finally seated, at most a quarter of the tables on the terrace were occupied, and that didn't change throughout the evening. We ordered drinks from our server, the drinks were brought to us by another server… and then nothing happened for 45 minutes. No waiter was willing to take our order - no reordering of drinks. At the three tables around us, guests were also waiting just as long, and the mood was slowly deteriorating. At some point, we grabbed a random waiter and told him we'd finally like to order. Then, fairly quickly, the waitress came over and, instead of apologizing, actually asked, "Are we OK?"... No, it wasn't. This answer obviously overwhelmed her - all she got was stammering. I can understand a lot of things when you actively address problems: "Everything might take a little longer today because we're understaffed - thank you for your understanding." I wished that had happened. We felt like we'd been ripped off. The food then continued on as usual - the food was as good as usual and helped lift our spirits. In the end, however, our waitress completely disqualified herself when she pointed out during the card payment that we could choose the tip downstairs. I like to tip a lot, but I see it as personal recognition for a good service and a pleasant evening. I don't see it as automatic, and there were too many things wrong that evening. My conclusion: I'll go back to Timberjacks, but only on days when it's not too crowded—because then it's really good.

The food was great, the service was super friendly, but unfortunately, there were always too few staff at peak times. Waiting 45-60 minutes for your drinks is unfortunately normal. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi for debit cards is of absurdly poor quality (Wi-Fi 4 lol), so card payments almost never work. I've been there 5 times now, with between 4 and 16 people, and debit cards always cause problems. Dear owners, please fix this! Update from 02/08/25: +Debit card payments worked perfectly for everyone. -We were only asked for drinks twice during our 3.5-hour stay. We would have liked to order more. -I didn't want pepper on my food, and it was served accordingly, but it was still full of peppercorns. On the other hand, the cheese was missing. -The sweet potato fries were soggy, as if they'd been kept warm for a while. -It's bordering on a scam: the ice cream is less than half the size it used to be. And I don't mean the new cups, but there's actually a lot less ice in them. No more Snickers pieces in the Snickers cup, and no Raffaello in the coconut cup. They also serve raspberry sauce in a coconut cup, which isn't listed on the menu. -Some of the staff are nice, others are like Karen's Diner, but they mean business. These people are really in the wrong job! A truly bad development! But it's also reflected – on Saturday evening, only half the seats were occupied. We'll probably come less often.

I don't like it when everyone is crowded together and when you stand up, someone at the next table knocks their food off their fork. The service was absolutely outstanding. The young lady who served us joined in the fun and was very attentive. We didn't feel rushed. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food didn't take long after ordering. I should mention that our table was booked for 5 p.m. But all the staff were friendly and no one seemed annoyed, and if they were, you wouldn't notice. The food was reasonable in terms of value for money. Each dish was marked on the menu as to whether it could be served with beef, poultry, or vegetarian. It won't be the last time we were there. Timberjack/Marl Significant deduction in the A-grade. My wife and I love steaks, especially when they're well-prepared. It was my wife's birthday, and it was a good fit for an invitation. First, the B-grade: The website is simply fantastic, and making a table reservation is quick and easy. The restaurant itself is decorated in the American style. Nothing new if you're familiar with Longhorn or the like, but very nice nonetheless. The waiter taking our order was super friendly. Since we were there very early, it took a long time for the drinks to be served (there were hardly any people in the restaurant). A shandy and Guinness aren't exactly rocket science. Then we come to the A-grade: The steaks (300g ribeye and 700g T-bone) were served in a pan. We had fries with them. The steaks were no-nonsense, as we felt the meat should taste good without sauces and the like. The T-bone tasted a bit of lemon/lime in some places. Otherwise, it was cooked very well, medium-rare. The roasted flavors were superb, and the meat was tender as butter. At first, I thought the lemon flavor was just my imagination, but after my wife came to the same conclusion without me telling her, she confirmed it. My wife's meat was ordered medium and was rare in the middle. She left the rest as well. After that, we were actually very disappointed with the steaks. At such prices (which are typical for good steaks), you can expect a perfect steak. The server was quite surprised that we wanted to pay so quickly and asked politely. She also said it wasn't satisfactory and wanted to call the manager, which we didn't really want. For us, the matter was closed. Well, then we waited. Shortly afterward, a young man, about 35, came over and asked what he could do for us. We then explained again that it wasn't really a meat treat. He immediately noticed from the remaining pieces of my wife's steak that it wasn't cooked well and confirmed this. He couldn't explain the lemon flavor. I could. Fridays are fish days. Even though there are two separate preparation plates, I can very well imagine that a little lemon goes awry here. As I said, for us, it was a done deal, and we just wanted to give our opinion on steaks that cost almost 100 euros. But then came the sentence that confirmed we wouldn't go back to this restaurant. "Well, the only thing I can do here is for you to choose dessert, but nothing else is possible. (We didn't want anything!!!) We weren't expecting such a response, in such a sloppy tone. Our conclusion (everyone should form their own opinion): The price-performance ratio here is completely out of whack. Furthermore, you should think briefly about what you say beforehand, and especially how you say it. This wasn't a meatball at the fair. Mistakes can always happen, and you should own up to them. Two mistakes at one table are completely unacceptable.

Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time at the entrance until someone attended to us, as we had a reservation. After being assigned a table, we were able to order drinks and food shortly afterwards. Unfortunately, the chicken on the skewer was so dry that it was almost impossible to cut; the fries were delicious and fresh. The other people's food (steak, salmon) was okay. The purée tasted very sour, as if it had cucumber water in it. The cocktails were good. The vanilla shake at the end was the best for me. The service was very friendly.

A lovely evening in Marl; everyone here is really nice. The restaurant has a Disneyland feel. Otherwise, it's a traditional restaurant with a good selection. The service was attentive and unobtrusive. The selection was excellent. Thank you so much for a few lovely hours.

About the food: So far, it was tasty. BUT: The portions were hardly filling. And 2 out of 5 had severe diarrhea after the ice cream! What we experienced here 6 months ago is incomparable to what we had last weekend. The service was catastrophically slow. The food was lukewarm. The beer was already stale and had no foam. The drinks only arrived after repeated requests. It seems to me that 6 months ago, people were still motivated. For such a great atmosphere, the quality and taste of the food are actually not good. The steaks are poor in taste and rather inferior. If you offered US, Canadian, or Australian beef, that would also suit the place very well. I would pay more if the quality was good. But unfortunately, I would never come back for dinner! Our steaks were initially medium rare, even though we ordered them medium. No matter - if necessary, they can be rare. But you just couldn't chew the pieces. When I asked, they refinished the two steaks, but that didn't improve the situation. The meat was just really tough. And that wasn't the first time. It's fine for a beer, but you're better off leaving the food in the fridge.

Nice ambiance. The table was too big for our group, and the music was too loud to hold a conversation. It was simply too loud during the meal. We asked for the volume of the speaker above our table to be turned down slightly, but somehow it didn't work. The food was okay. My meal was lukewarm, which is unacceptable. Especially the fries. In our opinion, the value for money isn't good. It should be served hot. It was good, but we won't be coming back a second time because of the distance!

The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff friendly—but that's about all the positives. The beef steak was inedible and tough. The BBQ chicken consisted of two chicken wings and three pieces of bell pepper. If the atmosphere hadn't been so good, we could have left right away.

We were able to get in without a reservation and be seated right away. It was a pretty busy night, so service was a bit slow, but the waiter was friendly and attentive. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the BBQ. Probably the best I've had in Europe.

The restaurant looks great, the menu is extensive, and the food is delicious. The service was also nice. However, we waited over 20 minutes for drinks three times, sometimes over 30. Even polite reminders didn't help. Even the large bottles of water didn't arrive until later. The food arrived before the drinks, so we were all incredibly thirsty by the end. It certainly wasn't overly crowded inside. We were there for a birthday party and would have liked to have a proper toast, but unfortunately that wasn't possible and would put me off visiting again. Edit: At one point, the kids got thirsty and got water from the tap in the restroom because they weren't seen at the bar, and we didn't want to risk waiting that long again. We waited almost an hour for dessert.

Six of us went to Timberjacks today. We had reserved a table and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The server arrived after about 20 minutes to take our orders, so we ordered food and drinks together. The food and drinks took a very long time. Only half of the group received their food because the food runner delivered the rest to the wrong table. After a long wait, the manager sorted it out, so we still got our food. The courtesy of removing the most expensive main course from the bill deserves praise. The second half of the group received their food about 1 hour 50 minutes after arrival. The food tasted good, but it's important to consider the restaurant's position in the upper middle segment. Overall, the restaurant experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the service issues. There were also problems with the final bill, and the missing dishes were doubled.

Getting a table there spontaneously can be difficult. You should reserve in advance. The food is incredibly delicious! The menu is almost too extensive, but there's something for everyone. Excellent service!

A solid 5 stars for the food, service, and ambiance, but unfortunately only 4 stars overall because Timberjacks is very expensive. No wonder it was always empty when we were there. The quality is really very good, though the last steak was a bit oversalted in the middle.

We were at Timberjacks in Marl yesterday. It's an impressive building with lots of details in the interior, so the atmosphere is amazing. Unfortunately, the music didn't really fit the ambiance, but the volume was okay. I had a smashed burger, which unfortunately wasn't a real smashed burger and was swimming in grease. The bottom part of the bun was completely soggy, there was an awful lot of cheese, and the meat was dry. For dessert, I had a cake, which was unfortunately almost inedible; it had a really strange flavor. The mango dip tasted of almost nothing. It's a real shame for such a top location; I won't be coming back. I've been to America many times and I can't understand how anyone could call the food at Timberjacks American...

I ate at Timberjacks for the first time right after it opened. I was already very impressed by the ambiance, and the food was delicious. That's why I enjoy eating here again and again. The service and atmosphere have steadily improved. The servers do a great job, always give excellent advice if you're unsure, and are always nice and friendly. The staff was otherwise excellent, except for one other occasion. They forgot us in the corner of the higher tables. After a friendly reminder, we even got a free cake/shake. Unfortunately, the buns on the burgers were quite small. We had to look twice to see what was happening.

This was our first time at Timberjacks. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the food and drinks are delicious and fresh. What I found off-putting, and which probably also speaks against a second visit, are the prices and portion sizes of the sides and sauces. Unfortunately, that's not appropriate at all, and in my opinion, it shouldn't be. Otherwise, everything there is great.

Timberjacks in Marl is definitely worth a visit. The food is highly recommended, although you'll naturally spend a few euros more at the counter. The rib-eye steak with potatoes on the side was impressive. And since there are already many photos of the "main course," I recommend the cake counter and dessert. If you still have some room, we recommend checking out the cake counter. The ambiance is definitely perfect, and the final bull ride is a must-do on a first-time visit.

Almost perfect. However, it would be better if certain burgers were "oversized," and this was mentioned when ordering. Otherwise, everything was fine. Tip: Reserve a table in advance, especially on weekends.

We went to Timberjacks yesterday for the first (and, no offense, last) time. I'll start with the good stuff: The mixed taco platter was delicious and the service friendly. And that was it, unfortunately. Frozen mozzarella sticks Shrimp completely overcooked My wife's fillet steak was well done instead of medium and was extremely oversalted. I ordered my sirloin steak (please see photo) medium-rare, and it was also well done and cooked all the way through. Also, I ordered 350 grams, and the steak served definitely weighed no more than 250 grams before it was cooked. Very disappointing. I politely told the waitress what was wrong, and we got a piece of cheesecake instead. Of course, we could have just sent the food back, but we're not like that. After all, we were hungry. I also ordered a waffle with banana ice cream for dessert, which was okay. The place looks fantastic, especially with the beautiful bar and the log cabin style. But the food was extremely disappointing, so we probably won't be coming back. What a shame!

During our last visit, there were problems with the kitchen. Orders weren't brought. The kitchen lady got rude. The server apologized. The drinks took half an hour, and the food arrived. The food was delicious, and the quality was excellent. Unfortunately, they were out of rump steak. Weird in a steak restaurant 🤷🏻‍♂️ And the front warehouse is full. I have to say, Timberjacks, you're slacking off.

Great shop, super atmosphere, friendly service, and actually really great food. Unfortunately, some things have changed with the vegetarian dishes, for example, the veggie patty is no longer a juicy breaded portobello mushroom, but two dry, deep-fried smoked tofu slices (try the Beyond Burger!), and the veggie fajitas suddenly cost more than meat fajitas (despite using less material). On top of that, some dishes have ridiculous pricing: a few feta cubes for €15, overpriced salads, and the like, while on the other hand, very cheap cakes, desserts, chicken pieces, or pulled meat are rare. You rarely see such bizarre pricing. So, still a great shop, even if the new vegetarian menu is considerably worse than the last one. Highly recommended: the mashed potatoes, the zucchini fries, the Mac Machine Burger, and the fajitas.

Tastes good and there's a good selection. It's something different.

The pulled beef burger was incredible—very tasty. Great atmosphere with excellent service. An absolute recommendation.
