Wir waren zum Geburtstagsessen dort. Leider werden die Angebote nicht umgesetzt. In unserem Fall, sollte den Mädels in einer Gruppe Sekt angeboten werden, auf Nachfrage galt dieses Angebot nur noch für eine reine Mädelsgruppe. Das ist unverständlich.

Hatten Burger bestellt und Pommes. Als beides kam war es fast kalt, die Burger trocken und die Fritten matschig. Der Laden war sehr voll und dadurch eine sehr starke Geräusch Kulisse. Wir hätten an diesem Abend auch gerne noch mehr an Getränken verzehrt aber eine Kellnerin/ Kellnerin musste man suchen und wenn Sie vorbeikamen reagierten man nur auf Zuruf. Einmal und nie wieder.

Nie wieder zu Timberjacks. Personal komplett falsch am Platz.ich hatte mir ein Ocean Backet bestellt für 30 Euro.Absolut lächerliche Portion 6 Scampis, 50 gr Lachs ich musste danach zu Mc Donalds was essen zum satt werden.Unsere 3 Frauen haben sich ein Milchshake bestellt.Als er kam hat waren wir geschockt ,es war Milch mit Geschmack und das für 8.90 Euro. Als wir die Bedienung fragten ob es so normal wäre das der Milchshake so ist, wurde sie pampig.Anstatt auf uns ein zu gehen. Absolutes no goe.

Food quite expensive, portions sometimes quite small. Quality, well. Doesn't have to happen again

Timberjacks is a premier steak and burger house. Meat quality is right. Definitely price/performance too. Cooking levels are always on point. A clear recommendation to eat there. But be careful: quality also has its price!

A burger for €13 with 2 mini parties and a too-crusty bun was more of a joke

Despite reservations for 7 people, waiting times for meals were far too long (approx. 60 minutes). The food was served almost cold. Drinks were also a long time coming. My fries, which I ordered twice, were not served. In addition, the tables stick as if they were not cleaned properly. Price performance not recommended on my part!

Unfortunately I have to give a rather bad review today. There were two of us in Timberjacks. For me it was the third time and the previous visits were completely positive. We were escorted to our table very quickly and friendly. Since it still took a few minutes until the waitress in charge came, we not only chose drinks, but also the food. The food came after 5 minutes, which surprised us because the drinks weren't there yet. Our burgers were lukewarm. So I called a young waiter to complain about this. The answer was quite, let's say boldly: "yes and now" were his words. He offered to reheat the burger or have it remade. I accepted the offer to warm up. Unfortunately, that didn't help much either. The burger was just lukewarm. When we were clearing up, another waiter asked us if everything was OK. I said no and described what happened. He said he would inform the shift manager. Result equal to zero. We didn't ask for drinks at all and since there was no one around, we went to the entrance to pay. There we were asked rather rudely to go back to the table. The waitress from the beginning then checked us in and asked us if everything was ok. I also described the process to her. There was an apology, but that was it. My conclusion: Too expensive for the quality and the behavior in the event of complaints needs to be urgently worked on. Addition: I can't recommend anything, see if it has to be stated!

Great ambience. Not cheap but really good food. Unfortunately, the signs for charging electric cars are fake.

Great burgers. Huge portions. Everyone was still full the next day 😄 The service was very nice and helpful. I've never seen an atmosphere like that in America anywhere in Germany.

Super nice restaurant...very friendly staff. We had burgers that were tasty but nothing special...unfortunately also very small portions. Dessert was super delicious.

Went there on a Thursday with live music and it was well filled. Waitress very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately we waited over an hour for the food. The quality and taste was good, but after 50 minutes you're ready to eat everything anyway. Unfortunately no comment or something on the house due to the delay. When you take so many reservations and have no staff in the kitchen, there's always a strange taste. It's a shame, we actually enjoyed going there.

Rustic roadhouse with very tasty food. The drinks were brought super quickly and the food in a reasonable time. The service was quick, attentive and very nice. The only criticism was the Jeulienne fries, which are not recommended. It's also a shame that, despite the good and long menu, there are no real vegan dishes, including the salads. But all in all - we'll be back.

A visually impressive restaurant. The service was unfortunately very average, except for one lady who tried to make the guest feel good. It's rare to see such a beautiful restaurant. Food was excellent and plentiful. The interior design was done with a lot of love and is very inviting from the outside. The service is outstanding, super clean sanitary facilities with a nice background noise. And the shop in the entrance is well stocked. Bull riding and big screen. Overall, the whole thing was very inviting. Gladly again.

The food is presented in a great and extraordinary atmosphere. The solid wood restaurant has a typically Canadian look and ambience. The staff is friendly. The only strange thing is that you can't make a reservation online or by phone, as everything is supposedly occupied until 8 p.m. If you just drive there, there are still tables available... (?!). It has happened and has happened several times. But no matter, the food was hearty and good, not delicate French cuisine, more Mexican, greasy, delicious... ;). However, there is one point that I don't understand: most of the dishes now have rice, i.e. all burrito dishes, all fajita dishes etc... but there is only coriander rice!! Coriander is an extreme spice in terms of taste, which not many people like (we've been there 5 times so far with different friends and no one likes coriander!!). Every time we asked if there was normal rice, at least without coriander. Just normal rice... This was denied, it's probably ready-made, purchased rice, whatever. In any case, we would go there much more often... but if all that's left is burgers, which we tend to eat less (we love Mexican cuisine), we'll just go eat somewhere else where Mexican dishes are also available without "cilantro" rice. It's a shame, because we actually really like it there... hence only 4 instead of 5 stars... and only 2 instead of 10 visits per year. As for the burger, I can recommend the one with peanut butter... extremely tasty. The burger patties are more of a convenience product, not fresh meat burgers where you can choose the degree of cooking yourself. So: 1 star deduction because of the coriander theme and 1 star deduction for the price. It's quite expensive. A burger for around €17 (without any side dish (!)), fries for just under €6 (BBQ sauce comes extra), a large beer for around €6... is pretty decent. Addendum from October 23rd, 2024: we ate there again with a group of 9 people, Saturday evening. Unfortunately we had to wait 50 minutes until we got our drinks after asking several times. Then 5 drinks came, 10 minutes later another 3 and after a complaint the last one missing after another 5 minutes. Since we were celebrating a birthday there, we could only toast with stale beer (some of which had already been there for 15 minutes). Then one or two side dishes were missing... ok, that can happen. We also always had to look for waiters to order something else. I understand the staff shortage, it also affects our company. But then I'm not allowed to "sell" and book out all the tables. So according to the motto: we don't have the staff, but we'll still take every table we can! Sorry, actually deducting another star for that... but 2 overall wouldn't be fair either, I was already only at 3 stars.

The food was great. However, the service can still be improved. Waiting times for drinks and then food were already very long during our visit, unfortunately. Otherwise, as I said, there's nothing wrong with the quality of the food.

Super nice location. I know of absolutely nothing comparable. The selection of food is very large, perhaps even almost too much. The food was very good and plentiful. The waiting time was really ok at around 30 minutes, but we were also here on a Saturday lunchtime. Very friendly and courteous service. Price-performance is okay. We will definitely come back.

Today we spontaneously visited the restaurant for the first time for a burger lunch! Simply delicious, great service and a great ambience. As passionate steak fans, my wife and I will come back and have fun with meat... 👍

Except for the ambience, it was a failure. The burger was swimming in ketchup and the meat was very dry. Price performance disproportionate. Almost 7 euros for a handful of fries and then dips cost up to 4.50 euros. Incredible.

First impressions count, and they are great. Really authentic and beautifully implemented. The selection of American food is extensive and, above all, delicious. The only negative aspect can be found in the drinks menu. On the one hand, a matter of taste, there are Bitburger products. Totally out of place here. On the other hand, American beers lack perfection. All in all, a great concept. Not the usual "this is how Germans imagine American restaurants" but very, very close.

Great unusual ambience! Lots of space, even for large groups. There are also round tables where you can have a good chat. Large menu, also for 🍨, cakes and waffles, if you also like sweet things. The staff was very, very friendly, we didn't miss anything. Very much so recommend.

We had ordered a large table by phone (!). When we were seated in the restaurant, eleven (!!) of us squeezed into a table for six. We didn't think anything of it at first, but when the dishes arrived, each of which is served on a wooden board, there was simply no space left. When we criticized this, we received a succinct answer: "So many groups have made reservations this evening, we can't do anything about it. We have a central booking system that allocates the tables." Not a word of apology. The highlight was the super unfriendly waitress, who told us to "please be quiet and listen". She “doesn’t feel like asking everything three times.” Okay, if you look at the general volume, it was a bit ambitious anyway to poll all 11 people from one position. But hey... By the way, the same waitress said, "Well, if you don't want to make room, I'll just put the food on top of your starter. That's what you seem to want." We were simply speechless about this impudence. Especially since the starter was served directly with the main course and we had this problem with space. Unfortunately, I had ordered fajitas, which I only had in front of me - but it was impossible to get the other arm to the plate. I then picked the filling with my fork and let the tortillas go back... but that wasn't what the inventor intended and it wasn't enjoyable either. If you consider the prices here, it's absolutely disgraceful what we experienced that evening. And one thing is certain: we won't come here again. Additional points: Soap and towels in the women's toilets were already empty at 7 p.m. and were not refilled throughout the evening. It doesn't work at all. The (smeared and sticky) map is completely overcrowded and confusing - less would be more.

Very tasty food and friendly service. A little more expensive but worth every cent.

I don't think there's much to say about Timberjacks. If you like meat, it doesn't get any better than this. Expensive but good. You can't often afford it. The staff is a force. Friendly, quick and very attentive 👍👍👍

Perfect, great service, legger food

Ambience great, but everything else is rather poor. Unfortunately, this has to be said so harshly, because everything “around it” means the store could be one of the top addresses. Starting with the reception. It couldn't be more listless. Not unfriendly or anything, but so listless that you don't feel welcome. The restaurant was moderately full for its size, so much so that it almost seemed like there was a need for as many service staff as there were. We were taught otherwise. Long wait until drinks could be ordered. It wasn't enough that we were allowed to take a look at the food and drink menus. Maybe reconsider this concept if there is no other option? Drinks came quickly and nicely served. Food was then eaten quickly and people looked forward to the very, very good piece of meat. Waiting time 1 hour 15 minutes approx. Perhaps to be accepted with a lot of goodwill, since according to the menu they are “special cuts”. But the wait was actually too long for the busyness of the evening. But well... The big problem: During this "waiting time" not a single information or - even worse - no request for further drinks. Every restaurateur knows, no matter how things go, with drinks you “make money” or make your guests a little happier. So we actually didn't see any service staff near our table during this long waiting time. The many service staff talked internally in groups of 2/3/4. This is not intended to be a reproach, as these many discussions may have been purely operational matters. Our feeling was quite the opposite in this regard, but we don't want to accuse anyone of doing anything wrong. The food came. Was OK. The cooking level of none of the dishes was as ordered. It's annoying given the prices. Fries incredibly cold. But we were hungry. Therefore price-performance absolute minus. In retrospect, we should have addressed it directly on site. But no one was really interested in us or anyone near us. However, the climax was just before that. When the "head" of service asked his colleagues for the last round of the evening to close the place, several tables didn't even have their food. Communication within the team probably went wrong that evening. Shortly before the bill was paid, the beautiful lighting was replaced with bright "bouncer" headlights. This is known from clubs or pubs that want to scare away the last guests at 5:00 a.m. Is that necessary? I strongly suspect that this is mandatory. Otherwise no one would come up with such a really stupid idea. Sorry, but it has to be said so harshly, because we actually wanted to drink our drinks. It was around 10:15 p.m. - for context. Our overall conclusion: If I were the "backer" of this restaurant, I wouldn't change the concept of food and drinks in the slightest. Because it's really good including the ambience. Unfortunately, the rest is a “farce” for those who invest so much money and perhaps time. There should definitely be a rethink. If not, it would be a great shame. In the end, “we guests” can only give tips.

A great restaurant, very nice atmosphere and very tasty dishes, so far the best burger I've ever eaten. Service is also very courteous and nice.

The food was okay, but unfortunately not enough for the price

We were very excited about this evening, but I thought the food was overpriced and not all meat was available. Some steaks were “sold out”, which is not allowed here, you also have to buy sauces, fries, etc. which are quite expensive. Truffle mushroom €3.40 (quantity approximately egg cup size) Truffle mayonaise €4.50 same size fries €5.40, rosemary potatoes €6.90. I'm used to not eating cheaply, but the ratio just doesn't work here🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️It was one Experience.

Tasty burgers - good, large menu, service Competent and fast - that's what you want

Great house, great ambience but here comes it. If you like a restaurant with the volume of a BVB home game, you are right there. If you like mediocre quality at completely exorbitant prices, this is the place for you. If you like a meal where the temperature of the meat is about 3 degrees warmer than that of ice cream then this is the place for you. It was very crowded when I visited, but I assume that most of the guests were there out of curiosity. I definitely won't eat there again. Even a note to the serving staff about the temperature of the food was dismissed with the comment that I would tell the kitchen.

Were there for the first time. The atmosphere - fantastic ambience. We have our own hotel with a restaurant in Baden-Württemberg. Excellent food, from salad to tapas to burgers. Experience has shown that preparing food is very time-consuming, so we were happy to wait. It was absolutely timely. From us 11 out of 10 points. Price/performance ratio top. For us, it was an experience that we would like to repeat.

Was mich nervt ist der überdimensionierte Screen über der Theke auf dem irgendwelche Sport- und Autoschnipsel flimmern. Service ganz ok wenn auch nicht sehr präsent. Essen ok, der Burger ist nicht riesig und das Patty ist durchgebraten aber es ist alles ganz lecker. Das Eis ist gut Getränkeauswahl gut. Preise in Ordnung. Es gibt keinen Grund zu meckern aber es gibt auch nichts individuelles, überraschendes oder begeisterndes.

Hello 🙋🏻‍♀️ We were there yesterday to celebrate our anniversary, but were very disappointed. The shakes are great but the food is bad. We both had burgers and French fries, the portion was ok, but the pulled pork was totally dry and you couldn't taste anything with the Italian burger. The fries taste like nothing. It was the first time there but it was also the last time

We visited Timberjacks in Marl and were immediately impressed by the unique flair and friendly atmosphere. The staff was extremely courteous and always in a good mood. A special highlight were the toilets - unusual, but really great! Unfortunately, the food and portion sizes couldn't quite keep up. The “Ring of the Bull” burger in particular was a disappointment compared to the price. The taste was okay, but definitely not above average, and the portion was smaller than expected. In general the prices are quite high. The uncomplicated parking situation should be positively highlighted; we found a spot straight away. We were also allowed to take our dog with us, which was a big plus for us. Overall a mixed experience – great service and ambience, but food with room for improvement.

Food, atmosphere and service were a clear 11/10. I really like the friendly staff who also have a sense of humor. Food came quickly and was also very good. We had to wait a bit for the drinks, but it was also busy. Happy to come back!!

Thanks to Olli our waiter this evening. Very funny, friendly guy. The food was very tasty, as was the dessert. The store was packed, but things still went relatively quickly. A successful birthday evening. As a gift there was a piece of cake on the house. Price performance for the burgers is completely okay

Positive: nice ambience, nice staff, food edible Drinks: Alcoholic mixed drinks undrinkable. The whiskey sour was mixed with a smoky, peaty whiskey, even though we didn't ask for it; Spiced Vanilla Caipi had no lime and tasted like vanilla cola (see picture), French Mango tasted artificial and the cane sugar was missing Eat: We had the Big Daddy Burger with Roasted Potatoes and Surf and Turf Tacos with Truffle Mashed Potatoes. The burger was delicious in terms of components. Unfortunately the patties were very, very dry and more than done. Next to it was a BLOB of cole slaw. The roasted potatoes were okay, as were the truffle mashed potatoes. The tacos were juicy, but there was only one shrimp in 2 tacos and only had crumbs of beef in them. You couldn't call that grilled beef (see video).

Our first visit to Timberjacks A visually really great location. Reminds me of American restaurants. The service was polite and the drinks and food came quickly. However, none of us were completely satisfied with the food. As examples: Kuban Smash Burger. You couldn't taste any pineapple in the sauce. Unfortunately the burger wasn't really warm either. You should be able to taste truffles in the pasta. This wasn't the case either. The fries and the aioli, for example, were really good. So there were ups and downs. However, for around €30 per person, I actually expect more. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right.

Kudos to our waiter, who was very well informed and gave advice. The meat was very good, the fries unfortunately not so much. I always like to visit Timberjack restaurants when I'm on business trips as they are very good. I also thought the cookies for the cafe afterwards were great, great idea and something different. Definitely coming back again and again!

The food isn't bad and the location looks great, but you get the feeling that the price performance doesn't quite match and the quality doesn't quite match the price. There's nothing wrong with the service itself, but unfortunately it's a bit understaffed from time to time. We like coming here even if it is a little more expensive

Absolute disappointment. Had reserved a table for 8 people for 6:00 p.m. for my mother-in-law's birthday. We weren't assigned a table until 6:15 p.m. Drinks and food orders were taken promptly. The food was served very late after about 45 minutes of waiting. But not particularly good for the price. Afterwards we ordered a dessert and a second drink. However, this order was canceled again by the head waiter with the words: You have been here for almost 2 hours and the table will be assigned to someone else from 8 p.m. Even the fact that it was only 7:50 p.m. and the delay at reception and the long wait for the food couldn't change the head waiter's mind. In short, he complemented us. In this restaurant, quantity counts instead of class. The wooden booth looks nice, but what should actually count (service and food) is an absolute no-go. We will definitely not recommend this restaurant or visit it again.

We were there for the first time today. Very nicely decorated. Corresponds to American style. The food was good, but we didn't know that you had to order the side dishes separately for the burger dishes! There was no indication on the map either. The staff was nice, but you rarely saw the service. No one asked at any table if anyone else had a request. Too bad!!!

My husband turned 70. Viktor looked after us, it was really great to have such a gem. Great service, no comparison to the previous year. The young man grade 1++ Food was very good. Ice cream was delicious, at the end there was a piece of cake for us the birth child. So it's fun.

We tried the burgers there. Quality was average. Didn't exactly blow us away. For the size of the burgers they were totally overpriced. For 2 burgers a beer and a water 45€. The ambience is good there. Staff very friendly.

The staff looks very annoyed. Except for one waiter who was super nice. Had to go to the counter and ask for drinks. After 30 minutes we had our 1 drink. There wasn't much to do. No waiter felt responsible for us. A little more friendliness wouldn't be a bad thing. The food was good. Didn't really feel welcome there.

We were there for the second time. The food was ok but we had to wait a long time. One of us had a Curasco skewer, the portion was too small for my taste, at least for someone who was hungry. Unfortunately our dessert didn't arrive together, the kitchen/waitress made a mistake and so a dessert arrived when paying :((. I would have found an apology appropriate. Our waitress was distant and inattentive. She could certainly have been a little more friendly no harm.

Super nice shop but the food was really bad, a shame... I felt sorry for the waitress, she was alone and had to take care of everything and two other waiters were standing there just talking, so team spirit is different, hope it changes soon and we'll be happy to come back

We were here for breakfast on Sunday. We already knew Timberjacks from Göttingen, but were a bit unsure because of the many negative reviews. Luckily we tried it out - we really liked it in Marl too. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and shown to a table. Within a few minutes we had our drinks and after about 20 minutes our food arrived. We had an omelette with shrimp, quesadillas and a rustic bread. Everything was delicious, with the shrimp and the accompanying dip being particularly impressive. The portions were adequate, although the prawns were particularly impressive. We like the concept - it's just fun here.

The food was good and the ambience was also ok. Clean toilets and friendly service. For me personally, this is not a place that I have to visit often, but this is a matter of taste.

Lunch was excellent, but unfortunately we had to repeatedly look for a waiter to place further orders. I was turned away several times and told that a waiter would be there soon. We spent almost four hours eating lunch and dessert, most of the time waiting for a chance to place our orders.

We were there again yesterday. The first few times everything was perfect. Last time it had already subsided and yesterday it was unfortunately so that we won't be going there anymore. My partner had been given the wrong food. After we pointed this out to the service staff, they said it had been switched to the next table. There was an error in publishing. Still, nothing was changed. I had the meat skewer. 2 minutes beforehand, this was also placed at the neighboring table and flambéed at the table. When mine came it was put down, no bon appetit was wished and the waiter left. So there was no flambéing. I also had 3 small pieces of meat on a skewer. They were lukewarm and had 3 different cooking levels. One was completely raw, one was medium and one was completely done. When we pointed out all of our shortcomings when paying, the service person simply didn't care. 2 failures in a row there. Apart from the fact that instead of music, you could only hear a loud hum in the background the whole time. No sound would be much more pleasant. It's a shame the first few times were always great

We went to Timberjacks again on 9/1/24, it's hard to believe but they managed to get even worse. Steaks that were ordered were delivered at the wrong level of doneness, fries arrived 15 minutes before the meat, side dishes were forgotten, fillet was poorly cut, drinks were not brought, etc.... Unfortunately, we experienced so many bad things there that we definitely won't be visiting there again. After we asked the waitress for someone in charge, the shift manager came and then reproachfully asked us what the problem was!!! I would have liked to have said something completely different to him, but my friend remained very friendly. Something like that doesn't work at all!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this store!!!! Given the prices and this performance, the result is simply underground!!!!

Unfortunately a big disappointment for this location. The restaurant is very inviting, but unfortunately the food and service are not that good. I ate a steak with side dishes that didn't taste good and the portion wasn't enough. Unfortunately not recommended.

When we arrived at 7:30 p.m. on September 1st, we looked for a free table ourselves (despite having a reservation). After the last few visits, I actually never wanted to enter the store again. Since I was invited, I gave myself up to Timberjack's adventure again. Ordered 700g medium porterhouse steak. The waitress comes with a colleague because she can't carry the board herself... I cut the steak and it's raw. Since two of us only got fries and were waiting for our steak (also absurd), I called the waitress and made her aware of my faulty steak. She took the steak back with her... my three companions got their steak almost at the same time (the fries came 20 minutes earlier). After another 20 minutes, when everyone else had already finished their food, my requested steak finally arrived. I cut it open and it is cooked through (tough as leather). The service worker, who was alerted again, was visibly embarrassed by the wrong delivery again and called the shift manager. He came to the table and said “Here you go?” in a cheeky tone. After I explained the process to him, he promised us a discount. The concept is good, the service is an uncoordinated disaster from day 1. Either you follow up on training here or you can soon tear the shop down again due to a lack of customers. You have lost 4 solvent customers.
