Wow Well, I haven't eaten here since my allergy attack two years ago. (I'm still waiting for the apology voucher 🤣) But man, what amazing service has this become! New management, new team, wow, well done. The best decision was giving you another chance today. The food is A+ with a star. Thank you so much 😘 you've made me a regular again. I'm really impressed. I have been a regular customer at L'Osteria Marl for years, the food has always been delicious and the service, especially thanks to our frequent server Julia, has always been excellent. When the sun is shining, you can sit outside next to the olive trees and there is also an Italian atmosphere inside. Highly recommended and always worth a visit!

Update May 4, 2025: Went there again today for brunch - our expectations were once again fulfilled. At the special suggestion of child 2, the pancakes are highlighted. Reservation time was already fully booked online, but Julia arranged everything. First ranking 2019: The four of us spontaneously arrived shortly before rush hour and were squeezed in between reservations. Service was great, children and parents were satisfied.

We love the brunch buffet. The food is great and the staff is very nice. Julia is a great waitress.

We recently went to L'Osteria in Marl and had a really nice evening! The pasta and tortellini were super delicious – freshly prepared and with lots of flavor. We would particularly like to highlight our waiter Marco: incredibly friendly, attentive and with a friendly manner that made the visit even more pleasant. Thank you for the great service – we will definitely come back!

Great ambience and friendly staff. The brief Italian in the toilets is a bit irritating at first, but later it's really funny! There is one star deduction for the pizzas. These are excellent in taste, but due to their enormous size they are not very enjoyable to eat. In terms of price, the whole thing is rather high, but this is generally justified by the quality of the food.

Yesterday I had a spontaneous meal with a friend at L’Osteria and was absolutely thrilled. As usual, the pizza was huge and super tasty. The service is particularly noteworthy. I particularly noticed a short, brown-haired employee, probably part of the management (not a waitress). She looked after everyone calmly, confidently and with genuine hospitality. You had the feeling that someone was thinking and leading the team with motivation. You can just tell when someone not only does their job, but actually enjoys it. An all-round successful evening for me - thanks to the whole team and especially to the friendly lady who obviously does a lot right behind the scenes.

I ordered two pizzas and a pasta dish. The pizzas should be sliced. Positive: the driver arrived on time and wore a face mask. The Pizza Ruccola was delivered without Ruccola, so as a Margherita. Both pizzas were unsliced ​​and the penne arrabiata resembled pasta with tomato sauce. When I asked over the phone I was told that next time I would get ruccola for free. All in all, pretty average. .... I ordered three pizzas over the phone today. When I asked how long it would take and whether she could give me a number for my order, the answer I got was: 30 minutes and a number wouldn't be necessary. I objected that a number made perfect sense, but wasn't given one. After 40 minutes on site it was pure chaos: Valentine's Day & pizza day & probably ten more waiting guests. When the waiter asked me for the number of my order, the chaos was complete and he rushed to the kitchen, came back and said "it will take at least 20 minutes" I said, "Are you serious?" I then got a free drink and after 30 minutes the three pizzas. In terms of quality, it's in the middle range for me, as it's not the size of the pizza that matters, but the quality. My son loves the pizza, we as parents aren't quite convinced yet. Addendum April 30, 2025: I ordered three pasta dishes over the phone with a total value of over €40 and when I opened the transport package at home, I thought of a joke: the portions were each about half of the other portions. I always get full, but today all three of us (2 adults + K 12 years) were still hungry afterwards. It wasn't even pasta day, but today we were really annoyed and we all ate something afterwards because no one was full.

Today, 4/22/25: Pizza cold, ingredients slapped on it, long wait for everything - drinks... Eaten 1/4 of pizza, cold and completely greasy, edge burnt. As an apology I should receive a new pizza. Would have had to wait at least 30 minutes for that, thank you no. Neighboring table got free dessert due to cold pizza. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza is totally lacking, and the service is sometimes completely overwhelmed (new, inexperienced, many routes are pointless). The food was definitely better, which is a shame

The L'Osteria in Marl is a typical representative of the chain. There are plenty of seats inside and outside. The service is good. So far we have always had very nice contact with the employees The food like pizza and pasta are good. Likewise the zoodles with shrimp. There are themed days like pasta on Mondays and pizza on Wednesdays where the prices are a little cheaper. I also find the acoustics particularly positive. No matter how many people are in the store. The background noise is completely ok and much better like e.g. an extra sheet.

We ate here with the whole family. The waitress Julia is very caring and friendly, the food was delicious.

Food is actually always okay. But the service disappoints every time. You can't sit anywhere you want. But waiters are mostly nice.

First of all, it's no one's fault if the staff is short, but you can deal with such things openly. It's not a problem at all that you have to accept waiting times, but you just have to communicate it. However, I can still request that the food be served hot. We were there with 6 people and first waited 20 minutes for drinks and then another 45 minutes for our food. Not bad at first, but all the pizzas were lukewarm to cold, the pasta dish was “ready to eat” and an additional salad we ordered was completely forgotten. In addition, there were dirty, greasy-fingered glasses for water. When we asked the restaurant manager, we were offered to reheat the pizzas or remake them. Since we were all hungry and didn't want to wait long again and felt that warming up was a no-go, we offered to accept the food that was delivered for a reduced bill. We were told in a rather mushy tone that we had been offered a solution and that it wouldn't work. At the end of the day we were lucky to have a very nice waitress at the table who was constantly trying to defuse the situation. But the management of such a well-known chain must not become mushy and bitchy even with guests who are not satisfied with the food and service. De-escalation works differently. At least two pizzas were not included in the bill, which was nice, but that doesn't make the overall service situation in this restaurant any better. When reading through the other reviews it becomes clear that cold food seems to be more common here. Been there for the 2nd time, in the mood for the 2nd time…..…. fallen.

The food tasted great. Unfortunately the noodles were already cold in places. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the service during our visit. The staff was largely friendly. Nevertheless... if there had been an explanation (low staff/sick leave etc.) at the beginning, we would have understood everything. But unfortunately it was just bad service. When we asked several times whether the doors to the outside area could be closed because we were sitting directly on the train...no response. Changing the table is “unfortunately not possible”. The empty glasses were not cleared away or asked if you would like to drink something else. Used dishes also stood around for a long time at our empty neighboring tables. Overall, it's a shame

Yes, it is recommended. We sat outside. Nice and friendly employees w/m Delicious pasta dishes. Soup was good too. It's a shame that there isn't just half a pizza or a smaller pizza for one person alone. You only get half a pizza if the second person also takes half. They can then have different assignments. Otherwise everything is ok ♡
