Wurstkessel in Berlin

It was really tasty! I have nothing to complain about in terms of food. The service was also very friendly. Unfortunately, the price just doesn't taste that good. I think €11.90 for a currywurst with fries is too much - even if it's in KaDeWe. Therefore “only” 4 stars.

We were ignored for 20 minutes on Friday, even though the cook/preparer! 😆 was at the next table twice. We then went somewhere else. The next day, I immediately spoke to a friendly waitress and got my order quickly. The veal sausage was delicious, but the meatball, which the cook/preparer! had probably forgotten in the microwave because it has nothing to do with cooking, had been left there. The waitress then asked, and whoosh, my meatball landed directly on the plate, past the grill. It didn't taste good at all, there was hardly any meat in it, just a lot of bread...not nice for KaDeWe, but for €5 I still expect decent quality.

Even though it's in the middle of the food court at KaDeWe, the curry sausage was super tasty and authentic!

I was told a while ago that Wurstkessel has the best currywurst in Berlin. Now I've finally managed to form an opinion about it. The currywurst is delicious. The ketchup is absolutely amazing. Fruity, sweet and with (fresh) tomato pieces, this is the best ketchup I've ever eaten. We ordered a pretzel with the currywurst. It was brought warm and was eaten in no time. The atmosphere is also unique. You sit at the counter or at bar tables. Right in the middle of the action and lots to observe. The toilets are right next to the sausage kettle.

Fantastic currywurst. But the other sausage products are also recommended.

Everything OK. Prices a bit high but not unaffordable. Hackepeterbrötchen or large butter pretzels 3.50 each. I personally didn't like the pretzel, but that's definitely just a question of taste.
