Great food and friendly service!

I like it! Fast service and tasty individual hot pots. Normal spicy is definitely not that spicy most people can handle that. Now always going for very spicy (red) and its just fine Staff can appear rude sometimes and it can get quite busy in here but that’s just how it is. And they offer card payment now! :)

Tasty hotpot! You can fill your bowl with whatever ingredients you want. My group of 5 came in, and got friendly service :) They also have 2 nice mocktails. Note it’s individual hotpots not for sharing

Fried noodles with vegetables cost €12.90. Crazy price for undercooked pasta that tastes like nothing at all. Hardly any vegetables. I put fried onions on it at home. There was a hair in my husband's food. The only tasty thing was the side dishes

Super tasty and very attentive staff. A bit cramped at the table and very crowded at peak meal time. But highly recommended and delicious. The search for a parking space was very interesting and unsuccessful. But we found what we were looking for in the East Side Mall and the walk before and after dinner was very nice. Large selection of different ingredients, whether a lot of meat or fish, even vegetarian, there was enough for everyone and the portion was sufficient. The 🥟 were also very tasty. We'd love to come back. Even when we wanted to divide the bill by three, there was no problem. Likewise when paying 1x with card and 2x in cash. Great service and at the end a schnapps on the house and, for me, delicious mango juice.

It's not a hotpot that can be prepared at the table like a kind of fondue, but rather you choose your ingredients, which are then cooked by the chef in the broth of your choice (normal, a little spicy, numbingly spicy and also vegan) and served in a pot at your place become. The atmosphere is rather sober and reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. The hotpot is really tasty. Price is okay (17 EUR per person). The only drawback: if you have anything left over, you can't have it packed up.

Not recommended at all, very tasteless. There are many malas in Berlin that are fresher and tastier. Just search for malatang berlin, any one is better than this one.

Been here a handful of times now and I have to say it is DEFINITELY one of the best hot pot in town. Great selection of proteins and veggies. An absolute must is the tofu skins. Simply amazing. The complete feeling of content afterwards is just a cherry on top! Top tier food!!!

The broths were all quite nice and you can fill up your bowl as much as possible. I appreciate that it’s super individual, you can enjoy a hotpot without compromising anything, dietary restrictions and hotness customisable! I just wish there were more noodle options (we had only 2). The staff was very friendly and fast! But the space is very small and it got a little too hectic, it was hard to move around the fridges to choose the ingredients 😅

Hot pot with a view of the RAW. Whether you like the hot pot depends primarily on what ingredients you choose from the fridge. The atmosphere is more like a canteen than a restaurant, which is a shame because that would make it more comfortable.

Everything is perfect, you can make a dish yourself from different components and cook it, super delicious!!

Great food, amazing service. The tables and chairs are a little uncomfortable and the atmosphere is a little like a Imbiss - that should not put you off though as the food is super tasty and our server was smiling and friendly the whole time… like he enjoyed his job.

My first hot pot ever, and I couldn't be more happy! I was worried of the price of a typical hot pot restaurant so I wanted to come here first. At the time of writing this it's 17€ per bowl and I think the price is justified! A tip, get the glass noodles so they don't turn soggy and get SPEZI with it it pairs so well!!! And the people here are so sweet!!!! (Also if you are scared of the spice, take it without, you can add it yourself at your table.) I would love to come back with friends, since it's also vegetarian friendly ^^

Fast and pleasant staff who create a relaxed atmosphere and speak Chinese! Here you can find authentic Chinese cuisine. My Chinese companion felt at home and I know restaurants in China just like that. So the visit was like a great short trip to China. Xie Xie!

Dined here twice . Had the zhajiangmian the first time and it was quite delicious, but a little too cold for my liking. The second time, I had the Chongqing xiaomian which tasted okay but it was way too salty for my liking. The most unfortunate part was that the food might not have been clean as it gave us really bad stomachaches afterwards. It’s day 2 now and it’s only getting worse. I don’t dare to return anymore ☹️ Edit: another friend who ate with me had the same food poisoning issues as well

Way too much MSG in the noodle soup and appetizers. Still feel thirsty 2 days after, despite drinking a lot of water. Service was good and quick though.

We reserved a table for 2 people at 11:30. Unfortunately the shop was still closed at 12 p.m. and we waited with the chef and an employee for it to open.

Very tasty food, nice staff and a nice atmosphere

The food and service was very friendly, but it was incredibly loud in there, while crates and bottles of drinks were being moved back and forth in the storage room and the portions in the HotPot are of course way too big for one person. All in all, there are better ways to eat hotpot and, above all, in a nicer atmosphere.

My girlfriend wanted to try hotpot. A great concept in itself. You take a bowl and fill it with food that you can choose from a “buffet”. The food came quickly and the service was nice. Unfortunately, the taste was not optimal for us. My meat was tough or dry and my wife's soup was extremely hot, even though the normal level of spiciness was selected. The soup also only tasted like water with chili oil. When paying we were asked three times if we could pay in cash, which was a bit intrusive.

Very tasty food for a good price. Lots of choice regardless of whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat/fish eater. Take everything you like and then have it freshly prepared for you. We'll definitely be back.

Make a hotpot if you think you know how to make a Chinese soup correctly. Id rather go for their delicious Chinese soups on their menu, they are amazing.

A nice northeastern Chinese hotpot place where the people are actually from where they say they are from! Get the 拍黄瓜、卤牛肉 and the 三丝香干 and don't ask questions, take it from me it's the authentic way to start the meal.

It was great, everyone was friendly, not overcrowded. We really wanted to try HotPot. It was brilliant. We could have even gotten seconds because we only had the soup. But our stomachs were already full.

Very authentic for me as a Chinese. I took the hot pot and was absolutely happy. It tasted like mom made it herself. Don't forget the peanut sauce for dipping!

Watch out! This restaurant keeps fresh food in a shopping cart openly without coverage in the adjacent hallway, where many people walk by every day. I visited the restaurant twice and ordered a vegan hotpot each time. Both times I was served a hotpot with meat and meat stock, after explaining this to the staff they clearly didn’t know what veganism means. There was no apology from the restaurant and it is now an absolute no-go for me.

Food was good but we found the concept a bit lacking. You can't get your leftovers with you, and there is only one price option: 17 euros. A lower price for vegan hotpot would be appreciated as a second option.

Flashy concept, good for Insta Reels, and of course just nice to have something different. Unfortunately, the prices are more expensive than the food (at least for hotpot and hand pulled noodles). However, the starter was very tasty.

We have never tasted such spices in a meal before. It was simply very tasty, good value for money. I'll go there again. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

The hot pot here is 17 euro for a piece, and it‘s not allowed to share it with someone. At the same time the portion is so big, that it is too much for one person. I don’t recommend the place. You will just throw your money away because the taste is not so amazing as well.

Opposite from. Located on the RAW premises, there are, my favorite, hot pot dishes with a kind of buffet where you can put together the ingredients yourself, which are then brought ready to the table. There are a lot of vegetables and the hotpot broth can be super spicy, vegan or normal, depending on your taste. There are also dishes from the menu. The service is super nice and individual, there is space inside and outside. I like it!

Had kind of a poor experience on a prior visit as the pegs got mixed up and I had to wait 30 mins for my food, but this has made up for it 100x! Don’t even bother getting anything outside of the hotpot ma la tang buffet experience. Wide range of protein, carbs and veg available. The normal (medium) broth is reasonably spicy and absolutely delicious! and you can ask for extra spice if you need it. Fun, personalised and tasty experience.

Very tasty, very variable food. No matter whether vegan, vegetarian, low-carb, etc. Since you can put together the ingredients for the hotpot/malatang yourself, pretty much anything goes. I would like more different broths and slightly more comfortable seats/chairs.

So that's not mine. We didn't like it and had to return almost all of the food. But we still paid the full amount, which I find impossible. Food was cold and the “noodles” were slippery. Ambience also very cold and uncomfortable.

Very nice staff. There was a massive hype, so they were jammed when I went there on a Friday early evening. I was not so impressed by the broth but the selection is great! I think it’s a bit on the expensive side for what you get.

A small family business that serves some delicious food. I recommend the dumplings with soy sauce. And spicy things are really spicy, so be careful!

I came here with my leg in a harness post surgery and I ended up sitting at a table with too much sun. They went out of their way to set up a Parasol so that my leg won't overheat.

It's not to my taste, I have to say it's been a long time since I tried a new restaurant and it left me so disappointed. I couldn't eat more than 2 pieces and almost left it completely, and so did my friend. We walked into the restaurant and walked out in less than 30 minutes. The buffet counter really has nothing to choose from. With this price you will have many better choices. can't say anything more…..

"Hotpot is only for one person" - why?

Hot pot that was made so uncomplicated that you can easily do it with two people or alone :) Here you don't traditionally get a pot of hot broth in the middle of the table, along with a bunch of small side dishes. Instead, everyone chooses their broth from 3 different strengths. Not spicy, normal (I had it and I can recommend it) and very spicy. You are then given a large bowl in your hand and can choose from a huge refrigerator everything you want to eat in the hot pot. The bowl then goes into the kitchen and is prepared there with the broth that was selected. Afterwards everyone gets their own hot pot at the table. No matter how full the bowl is, you pay €17! Whether you only serve half a shrimp or the bowl is overly full of mountain. This means everyone can design their hot pot experience the way they want. Some people like it spicy, others don't. Some people prefer beef or lamb, others prefer seafood. One is a little meowtooth, the other really wants to get stuffed. And the broth was good. Really fresh and deep beef bone flavor. Plus a lot of herbs and peanut sauce, which you can stir in yourself if necessary. The store is visually nothing special, but it stands out because of the great offerings. The location is also perfect. Less than 10 minutes walk from Warschauer Straße train station. You can park your car in the east side mall.

A big thank you to the super friendly staff, who also fulfilled our request for another chair. And the food is also absolutely great - I really enjoy coming here - keep it that way!!!!

Fantastic selection at Malatang. Fish, meat, vegetables, pasta - everyone will find something to suit their taste here. You can take as much as fits in the bowl and pay €17. Good concept, even better implementation.

We really liked the concept. There are different levels of spiciness for the broth and a vegan broth is also possible. We used normal spice and found it to be very spicy. But it wasn't a problem. We were offered to dilute the broth and after that it was perfect :) I think €17 is totally fine because it would theoretically be possible to overfill the bowl with expensive ingredients like shrimp, mussels, etc.

The only Chinese restaurant in Berlin, that I know, that makes handmade noodles. Noodles deserve a separate oscar 🏆🏆🏆

Supernice place! The staff is incredibly thoughtful and caring 😊 we ordered the homemade noodles and a hot pot, and everything was yummy, specially everything with the sesame peanut sauce

There were 6 of us there. 2x Hot Spot 4x a dish from the menu. Food wasn't delivered at the same time, some had to wait. The wooden chairs are reminiscent of sitting in elementary school. Sit low and without padding. Here you may want to change the furniture to be able to offer more comfort. My food was so-so, it at least tasted good with soy. Wasn't a hit...

The staff was friendly and open, we felt welcomed and could ask questions, since for us, it was the first time eating hotpot out, and the food was especially tasty and beautifully served. We definitely recommend trying it out at least once, especially the dumplings and hotpot, but you should be careful with the spiciness levels, if you can't handle too much spice, ask for them to put in less or none

Soup heaven! I love the simplicity of the interior and the concept of choosing all ingredients. Everything tastes good and the waiters are very nice.

So typische Chinese food! Many differents special vegetables. You can eat only vegetables and also different meats . You pick the food which you want and even you don’t know them , but who work there service are super nice and kind . The restaurant is clean and nice . Food are fresh !!!! You need at least once to try !!! Give your stomach once chance !!!
