All in all highly recommended, we felt comfortable, ate excellently and spent a lovely evening

A little expensive but worth it. Food was awesome as well as the service. The atmosphere is what made it. The drinks were also very creative.

The beef brisket with wrapped vegetables (I only saw 2 tiny pieces of radish (?) in a portion for two – so too little) was very tasty and tender. The lentil salad was good but much too cold for me. The price was still OK for Mitte, in my opinion. My guests and I found it much too loud in the room around the corner to the right. We asked for a quieter table, but it wasn't possible (OK, it was full). Nevertheless: I don't want to text in a restaurant to have a conversation. Maybe change the acoustics concept a bit – although I don't think there is one. I won't go there again because of the noise. The service was OK for me – I found it cool and not particularly warm/friendly.

The transparency regarding pricing was particularly positive, while a small notice about the option of a "second helping" with meat dishes would have made ordering even more pleasant. The drinks are mixed: While the non-alcoholic Negroni and the house drink are solid, the Coco cocktail is disappointing with its lack of coconut flavor – a disappointment for the hefty price of €15. The appetizers, on the other hand, were convincing across the board. The bread, scallops, and the salmon trout tartare offer a variety of flavors that leave you wanting more. The main courses had both good and bad points: The meat dishes – beef and Duroc pork – delighted with their taste and quality, while the vegetarian dish was a bitter disappointment. €24 for a simple oven-baked eggplant, served without any particular refinement, is simply unacceptable. An urgent revision of this option would be desirable to ensure that vegetarian guests also get their money's worth. Likewise, an earlier indication of the possibility of ordering more meat would have been helpful – especially when choosing starters. In terms of value for money, the picture remains mixed: While the meat dishes justify their price through quality, the starter selection is adequate. The eggplant, on the other hand, represents a significant point of criticism. Overall, a clear recommendation for non-vegetarians who want to enjoy fine dining. However, those looking for exceptional vegetarian options will be disappointed.

Quite a limited menu and meat heavy but we really enjoyed the signature beef and pork dishes . The warm lentil salad and white asparagus were delicious . Lovely setting and excellent service . We would return .

Hidden in the street and was renovated by a church! We’re here for celebrated birthday, and the atmosphere was perfect! The staffs were all cute and friendly, everything is good! We tried the buffalo burrata(I like the combination) and duroc pork, the cream for bread was also amazing:) Definitely will come back

The meal at Katz Orange was wonderful. The most pleasant discovery and surprise for me, as a meat lover, was the cauliflower in the main course. The perfect interplay of textures and flavors was a sensory feast. The menu was balanced and more than plentiful; each dish was special and recommendable in its own right. A small disappointment, but one that doesn't detract from the overall rating, was the somewhat unusual and unfortunately limited beer selection. A plus point here was that they at least had IPAs, although unfortunately no wheat beer (only non-alcoholic options were available) or pilsner. The service was friendly and accurate, but I deducted one point here because two of the three people who took turns serving us throughout the evening spoke only English, and only one person spoke German. Now comes the one point that unfortunately fell far short of all expectations: the acoustics of the dining room where we sat: I haven't experienced such noise since the Auerstein in Heidelberg or in a beer tent shortly before closing time. Conversation was only possible with a raised voice, if not completely impossible; the overall sound pressure was very loud and extremely exhausting. Something urgently needs to be done about this. My recommendation for this reason: A definite thumbs up for a visit, unless you sit in the room on the right. If it's summer, the seats in the beautiful courtyard are recommended. I will probably return; the food was truly fantastic.

A hidden gem in the heart of Berlin. We discovered this place on an online blog and decided to trust it. The place is "hidden" and is not one of the usual tourist places. Their specialty is meat (beef and pork) cooked at low temperatures. The portions are not huge, but they will offer you the second round of meat just in case. The staff was impeccable: present but never intrusive, attentive to detail and very friendly. In conclusion, a restaurant that deserves to be discovered

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Berlin. I found it because it was suggested by an Italian blog. The environment is very cool starting from the setting, it is a former church. It all gave me vibes of exclusivity, not recommended if you're the trattoria type. The service is excellent, the waiters always pour your water and are helpful. We found an Italian waiter and communication was even more effective, in any case everyone speaks English. The main dish is the meat cooked at low temperature, so we tried both the beef and the pork accompanied by their cooking juice sauce. Good proposal also on the vegetable side. Bathrooms are dark and spectacular to me! Account in line with the offer.

You need to reserve a table in advance, as this is a preferred restaurant of the Berlin tech and media class. This is an upscale place which doesn’t mean you have to be dressed up. You can expect very good food, which comes with a price tag. To my opinion, it’s worth it. On top the building of the restaurant is a real landmark even for Mitte comparables. The interior of the restaurant is a gem.

Io ci sono stata con il mio ragazzo e ho preso la tagliata che mi è arrivata fredda, il mio ragazzo il kats orange, buono ma dimenticabile. 2 calici di vino di proporzioni irrisorie, 2 patatine di cui una con salsa olio d’oliva e timo (pagata a parte 2 euro!) hanno reso l’esperienza scarsa. Magnificent place and excellent cuisine even if the prices are quite expensive

I visited this restaurant with my family and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. Our visit started with a misunderstanding about our table. While this wasn’t a major issue, it took the staff a while to sort it out ( we were among the first ones), and their attitude made us feel as if we were the ones not understanding—which is never a great approach toward customers. The service was slow, with a very long time between giving is the menus and taking the order and +30-minute wait between finishing our starters and receiving the main course. While the food looked nice, it lacked flavor and taste and certainly didn’t justify the high prices. Most dishes were heavily fried, which left us feeling unwell afterward. I had been really excited to try this place, but it ended up being **the only bad experience** during our five-day trip to Berlin. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it—perhaps only for a drink, but definitely not for a full meal, simply does not worth it.

Always a pleasure - every dish is down-to-earth in the best sense of the word and yet prepared with a certain something, of excellent quality and simply delicious. Not really cheap, but definitely appropriate for the quality. Despite the clear map, highly recommended.

Beautiful restaurant inside and out, with a very clever drinks menu. The signature Katz Apéritif was delicious. A solid start to any visit. I opted for the Duroc Pork, which can be scaled to feed multiple people, and second helpings are offered. As a side, I chose barley with mushrooms. Overall, the food was good, and the amount was the right amount for me. Where this restaurant fell short was in having chipped dishes and glassware. At this level, that should never happen. Also, service was rushed. Perhaps my server was not a fan of one person dining alone. It really felt like he could not get me out fast enough.

Even though we were recommended the “family feast”, we opted for individual courses. “sharing is caring” great dishes, where possible with regional references. Manageable wine list - but less is more. The desserts were exceptional and special.

It's really really good! The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. Obviously a lot of effort went into the interior design of this restaurant, it looks wonderful. The food is almost perfect, maybe my standards are too high, it's still really really good. Really good. Service was especially good. And special mention for the bartenders for making good cocktails and drinks recommendations. Would I come back? Yes definitely!

Great food but slow service, and a stuffy and extremely noisy environment. You could barely have a conversation. Not a place I would recommend to anyone for that reason, but it might be more enjoyable in small groups in the lower part of the restaurant.

La segunda mejor comida que tuvimos en Berlín, la mejor fue en un tour, no en un restaurante. He estado en este lugar más de una vez, en gran parte por las papas fritas saladas hechas en grasa de ganso. El aceite de canola y esos compuestos desagradables dejan un mal sabor así que solo como papas fritas en grasas adecuadas. Por supuesto, también cuentan con 'caramelos de hueso' carnes cocinadas lentamente, que son bastante deliciosos. Tienen una buena selección de vinos y un buen servicio. Nunca me decepciona.

Good food, but too loud for conversation The food selection was interesting – I chose the cauliflower menu. The portions were very large! Since we didn't know what to expect, we ordered bread with lamb's lettuce and fries for starters. After that, we were already full. Luckily, the waitress was very friendly and packed the rest for us to take home. What bothered us, however, was the extreme noise level in the restaurant. It was so crowded that we could barely hear ourselves. Even the waitress had to ask several times. We liked the decor, though, especially the ambiance outside at night – really nice! Overall, it was an interesting experience. However, visiting with friends would be difficult, as conversation would be almost impossible. However, if you're very hungry and value atmosphere, you'll definitely get your money's worth.

I visited Katz Orange on a Friday evening (8:45 PM) and had a somewhat mixed experience. The food was undeniably very good, but there were a few aspects that detracted from the evening. The seating was moderately comfortable, nothing special. Also, I was sitting in front of a chair leg, which was a bit bothersome. The service was okay, but I would have liked the server to come to the table more often to ask if everything was alright. It was a bit confusing that we were told at 11:30 PM that the last round was being called, even though the restaurant was supposed to be open until 1:00 AM according to the opening hours. That was a bit strange for a Friday night. Another point that I noticed was the high noise level in the restaurant. They could have definitely paid more attention to soundproofing here. In summary, Katz Orange is a restaurant with good food, but there are some areas where there is room for improvement, especially with the service and the noise level."

It was a lovely evening at Katz Orange. The food was very tasty. We had the cheese croquette first, Duroc pork and brisket as main courses, fries and sweet potato tart as side dishes and toffee pudding as dessert. Regarding the food, I can only make a small criticism of the tart, as it was actually more of a mash/puree in terms of consistency and lacked a bit of spice - for my taste. Otherwise, the dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted impressive. In fact, dessert was a great finale. The wine list is also well sorted. As a classic beer drinker you would miss a good Pilsner, but I can't help but mention this because I can't stand craft beers at all. My cremant and champagne were great! At the end of the day, the evening also had its price. In addition to my total of 3 glasses of sparkling wine, there were also 2 beers, water and 1 espresso. So we were eating around €80 per head. It was worth the money for us and we went home more than full. The service was attentive and polite. A visit is therefore definitely recommended!

It is our 4th time vising Katz Orange. For any special occasion we always treat ourselves there with nice food, attentive service, cozy atmosphere. We had Ceviche, Teriyaki Eggplant, Steak Tagliata, French Fries with blood orange miso sauce, and 2 cocktails. I think my cocktail choice was wrong and it didn't fit me, but my husband liked my cocktail.

It was unfourtunately the worst food in a long time. Eating the zander I felt sick. But the staff was very nice. The food is cooked probably for the week like meal prep and then heated up and served.

The atmosphere was great and the service staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and gave my group enough space to let us enjoy our night out. The food was fantastic all around! Nobody in the group had a bad thing to say. Definitely a great find, and would visit again next time I'm in Berlin

Because of the advance praise, we were very excited and full of anticipation. Unfortunately, these could not be met, neither in terms of the ambience with not very comfortable chairs and somewhat cramped tables, especially on the upper floor, nor in terms of the food. Although it was acceptable, it was not convincing in all parts, e.g. the side dishes. What was most annoying was that we were served lukewarm food on pretty battered stoneware plates and bowls. The tap water offered (filtered) for a fee was also not to our taste. We would have preferred mineral water for health reasons. The second helping that was offered and that we took advantage of was nice, but unfortunately only lukewarm despite being advised. Maybe the battered dishes and the low-temperature food are a sustainability idea, but unfortunately for us it was an overall disappointing experience.

Good, service and atmosphere were great, albeit very noisy with American tourists. the service was really excellent. What let this place down was the price, we didn’t have a starter, both had meat and 2 sides and shared a pudding. one small glass of wine and a g&t and the bill was €120 without tip!!! We got sparking water which was nearly €8 as they charge per person for a bottle they’ve filled themselves. We challenged this as it was only about 750ml bottle but were told ‘we could have had a refill if we wanted included in this price’. Honestly, food was delicious and ingredients felt fresh which will account for some of the price but really quite overpriced by about 25% and for this reason I couldn’t recommend someone comes
