Lovely restaurant with delicious food and drinks. Friendly and welcoming service. Unfortunately, there was a slightly unpleasant toilet smell in the restaurant, but we stayed anyway and enjoyed a delicious meal!

A delightful start to the LEA concert – stylish and delicious About two months ago, I visited "Wolkenlos" in Timmendorfer Strand before going to the LEA concert – and the experience remains a positive memory. The location right on the pier is simply special: stylish, with a view of the Baltic Sea and a relaxed atmosphere that instantly puts you in a holiday mood. I was very satisfied with the food: • The beef carpaccio was tender and fresh, with peppery arugula and Parmesan. • The sushi and sashimi platter was a real eye-catcher and tasted superb. • The ALTHAUS matcha latte was creamy and pleasantly mild – a lovely finish. The wait from being seated to paying was perfectly reasonable – everything was calm and efficient. The service was friendly and attentive. Why four stars? Five stars would have required that certain something extra – perhaps a personal greeting from the staff or a small surprise. Overall: highly recommended, especially before a special event like the LEA concert. I'd gladly come again!

We were there yesterday. When I spoke to the man at the reception, he was very rude and arrogant, saying he was just having a conversation. We immediately got up and left. Truly terrible service. We'll never go there again.

A fantastic location for a romantic dinner. The hygiene protocol was appropriate. The staff was very friendly, and the menu was well-balanced. There were local dishes, classics, and a bit of something different. Overall, a great concept! The non-alcoholic cocktails are also delicious. What I also particularly liked is that the menu isn't too long.

Today we had frozen fried fish for €21. In short, we didn't get the fried fish shown in the photos. Our fried fish was two individual pieces. Honestly, for that money, you could treat yourself to a proper fish sandwich at the beach and be happier. The "redfish fillet" for €28 came with bone-dry rice, lamb's lettuce without dressing (wow, creative), and a "vegetable side dish" that consisted of 100% soggy eggplant. Absolutely terrible. Sushi? Expensive, but at least edible. The currywurst was okay; it was the only thing I'd order again. Ambience? Unfortunately, it was great, which somehow makes it even worse. You know.

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch with eight people and a large dog. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The food selection was excellent, and everything tasted delicious. The lemonades were a bit watery. The matcha latte was delicious. The food arrived very quickly. The restrooms were clean.

First impressions are deceptive—we waited forever for the apple strudel we ordered, and then it arrived (presumably) thawed. 🤷‍♀️

A 5/5 rating for the ambiance is far from sufficient. Very friendly service. Very reasonable prices for the location. We only had one apple strudel, which was very good and beautifully presented.

We went there for coffee, and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. Located right at the end of a pier on the water, it offers an incredible view through floor-to-ceiling windows. The latte and hot chocolate were delicious. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating, something you rarely experience these days. You can sit inside, in the conservatory, or outside. It's a really lovely little coffee break. You can also eat there (they serve sushi, tarte flambée, and even currywurst), although it's a bit more expensive, but still highly recommended.

The food was excellent, and the service almost better. We had a wonderful table with a direct view of the Baltic Sea, complete with a rainbow. It couldn't have been better :-)

Unfortunately, we went to this restaurant with too high expectations. For a hefty price (usually over €20 per dish), you get a very small portion that doesn't fill you up. The taste was really delicious and okay. If you're vegan, this is one of the few options in Timmendorfer Strand. Of course, the restaurant's location on the pier is a plus, but the decor is a bit lackluster, especially outside. Everything is quite "ordinary" – in our opinion, not appropriate for the price.

The waiters are lousy and don't want to work. The food is expensive and not tasty. The restrooms are a disaster. He takes advantage of the fact that he's alone and has a nice view.

The ambiance is very nice, the service was good, and the food was okay. Regarding the service: it took a while at first, but the food arrived relatively quickly since it was very quiet, and afterward, we were constantly asked for our order. The server was very nice. Regarding the food: we had two bowls and one burger. The portions are small for the high price. Both bowls had cracked edges in several places, something you wouldn't normally give back; some of them had sharp edges. After we informed the waiter, we were offered a free coffee of our choice for each person as "compensation" – that was really very accommodating! The bowls were lukewarm, and the wasabi nuts really dominated the flavor. According to my brother, the burger was delicious. The chocolate cake was amazing, but also small for the price. Overall, it's a bit too expensive for what you get. You're mainly paying for the view. I had hoped for more from the food. Hence the 3 stars.

A great location. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. When I spend €180 on a meal for two, I expect attentive service. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all.

Beautiful ambiance with a great view. The outdoor terrace is perfect for sun worshippers. The waitstaff at lunch is very young. Very friendly, but a bit slow in their pace and overview. It certainly comes with experience. High prices for such a special place. The restroom is a bit lacking in paper towels. The surroundings are relaxing. All in all, definitely worth a visit.

The food was excellent. I personally found the sushi portion a bit small (8), but it was definitely the best sushi I've had in a long time. Plus, the view of the ocean was priceless. I would recommend making a reservation in the evening to get a seat right at the front by the window. It's not quite as busy at lunchtime.

Service and staff were 5 stars. The food was good but not outstanding. What we didn't understand: When making the online reservation, they asked if it was a special occasion. It was: a 60th birthday. When we arrived, they also asked who it was and congratulated them. But that was it. No extra decorations or any small gifts. Then you don't need to ask...

Very delicious food and a lovely, cozy atmosphere in the winter garden, which is also sheltered from the wind. The friendly service from waiter Savar was particularly positive, and the restrooms were also very clean. The portions could be a bit larger, but the prices are absolutely reasonable for the location. Only the signage for "Mikado Teahouse" seems a bit confusing.

Wolkenlos is a nice place. We had a table outside and enjoyed the sun 🌞 🌞 🌞 We had coffee ☕️ and waffles. It was quite expensive for the size of the waffles. The staff was friendly and quick.

Our favorite spot on Timmendorfer Strand! 🏖️ The fried fish at Wolkenlos is simply a dream – golden brown and crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender on the inside. The location is truly special: The restaurant seems to float on the sea, and the view – especially at sunset – is simply magical. The team here is incredibly warm and attentive. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. This is our third time on Timmendorfer Strand, and a visit to Wolkenlos is simply a must for us. If you're looking for a great, high-quality dinner in a stunning setting, this is the place to be. We'll definitely be back – we promise! ☺️

Five of us went to eat at the Wolkenlos restaurant. The food was delicious. The service could have been better. The ambiance is truly wonderful. It was a shame, though, that we had mentioned it was our 30th wedding anniversary when making the reservation, but this was unfortunately ignored.

My husband had carpaccio and was also delighted. For the main course, we both had the burger, and it was incredibly delicious. Homemade buns, exceptional sauce, and the meat had a great flavor and was very fresh. So, all in all, a wonderful evening. The prices are a bit high, of course, but quite reasonable for the location and the excellent food. Thank you so much.

We spent a wonderful evening today in this incredibly beautifully situated restaurant. The fact that all the food and drinks were delicious is certainly worthy of praise, but what stood out most was the manner of our waiter, Alexander Kriesbach: the perfect blend of attentiveness, friendliness, authenticity, and attentiveness without being intrusive. A very nice restaurant with very pleasant service. Spectacular view, but I would recommend coming after 8 p.m., when families with small children are no longer present. Of course, they have a right to be there, but it's a bit quieter and more relaxed for a nice dinner.

Short and sweet. Great location, amazing service. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. They pushed us to a table for two, simply so we had more space for our cutlery, etc. The tarte flambée and the green bowl with chicken were incredibly delicious! And the dessert (chocolate tart) was beyond amazing! AMAZING! A visit that's WORTH IT FOR THE PRICE.

The ambiance in the middle of the lake is truly top-notch! There's nothing else to say, and the service was also really friendly. Reserving a table online is also great! The big catch is the price-performance ratio, which is truly abysmal. A tarte flambée consisting of thin pastry, onions, and a bit of ham costs €15.50, while a completely ordinary deep-fried fish with a few fries and a tiny bit of salad costs €21. When you get the bill, you feel like someone is trying to test you, along the lines of, let's see how many people are stupid enough to pay these prices. The portions definitely won't fill you up without a starter. If you want a great view, you can eat here. Anyone with some decency and a good sense of money should stay away.

We had to wait a very long time for the food (more than 1.5 hours), the "fried fish" was breaded and frozen, the sushi first came wrong and then without spicy mayo and the portion for 19,- € was very small

The food tasted okay, but I was a bit disappointed with the portion sizes—I expected a bit more for the rather high price. The service was friendly, but overall, the value for money could have been better.

The "transparent" windows in the floor are almost opaque, or broken. The view isn't all that breathtaking either. You're sitting "far" from the beach, but that's about it. And for €25 for a burger, you got diarrhea.

I haven't had such a bad meal in a long time; I sent back both the starter and the main course. For starters, I had an Asian soup with coconut milk. The soup was lukewarm on the outside and hot on the inside, and it was a white roux with a spoonful of coconut milk. Impossible. The salmon tartare for the main course was sushi rice with salmon marinated in an indefinable sauce. That's not how tartare should be! I'll never set foot in that place again.

Very nice café and restaurant on Timmendorfer Strand. We had delicious, freshly baked cherry crumble, plum crumble, and cappuccino. The view of the sea from the seating area is breathtakingly beautiful.

It’s worst!!! The whole menu includes sushis and we were told sorry we don’t have any sushis anymore. It was 7pm. And they dint have anything to serve. No cleanliness at all. The staff was okay.

A very special location with a breathtaking view of the sea and the coast – the view alone is worth a visit! Particularly impressive: the glass floor inside. The winter garden is also very beautiful and offers a great alternative if there is no room inside. The food is of really good quality. While the price is a bit higher due to the exclusive location, you get a harmonious overall experience in an extraordinary atmosphere. The service is very friendly and attentive. We only enjoyed tea and dessert – both were excellent. In conclusion: Anyone who appreciates the combination of good food and a spectacular view should definitely pay a visit to Wolkenlos.

We were there with “5 people” and we all ordered something to eat. The waitress brought the food for four people but had forgotten an order. As an apology we were all given a drink of our choice 😊 GREAT

We had dinner at Wolkenlos yesterday and were truly more than pleasantly surprised. We were served by Alexander, who did an outstanding job. The service was excellent all around. The food was delicious for me! My girlfriend's curry was a bit too spicy. The waitress noticed this, and without us asking, they offered to dilute it with a little coconut milk to soften it. Again, top-notch service. The drinks arrived quickly and were also good. If it hadn't been our last night of the holiday, we would definitely have come back again.

The view of the sea is magnificent. We had five dishes, and all were very good. Appropriately presented. As a chef, I was completely captivated by the entire concept, and I wish Wolkenlos many more successful years.
