I was in the restaurant as a non-hotel guest and was amazed at how good the food tasted. In addition, you didn't have to wait long for food/drinks, it all went really quickly. I can only recommend it!

Always delicious food, recommended. Have eaten there several times. Cheesecake at the end 👍 last time we just wanted to have a drink🍺🍷 and enjoy a Ceescake. There was But the service was unfriendly and made us feel like we weren't welcome 😕 🤔☹️

We go on vacation to Niendorf Baltic Sea every year...👍and we also go to the restaurant in the Gorch Fock Hotel every year...The service is excellent and we are thrilled with the food. Everything is just right here...We have also stayed at the hotel several times. We love it 🤗

We have rarely met such a nice and great hotel. The people who work there are so nice and try hard to look after every guest. You feel comfortable from the first moment. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. It is always freshly refilled. You can also have dinner. Very tasty and freshly prepared. We can only recommend the Hotel Gorch Fock and have already booked again for next year

Actually a nice hotel with a good location and decent rooms and its own parking lot. But you have to reserve the parking space separately! Unfortunately there was a huge and uncomfortable pillow on the bed that made my night a torture (but unfortunately there are smaller ones not in the room but at the reception which doesn't help in the middle of the night). Very nice and good breakfast with a rich buffet. The place also looked very cozy and is definitely worth a visit.

Super delicious food and very nice staff. For the children we were given table mats with a picture to color in and pens. The restaurant is highly recommended all around :)

Rooms and hallways... A catastrophe. Carpets broken, doors dirty, even the frames of the pictures on the wall were partly falling apart. The room: Dirty, dirty, dirty... Wasn't cleaned either. Glasses dirty, in the bathroom and in hair from the previous guest, cobwebs, dead animals on the carpet, etc... I could write forever...

Nice restaurant on the street right by the sea. We sat on the covered terrace with 20 people at the closing dinner of a seminar. I had the grill plate with fried potatoes hidden under the meat. I thought I wouldn't be able to manage a starter as the dish I chose cost €35. Unfortunately that was wrong. When I finished, I was still hungry. I didn't even particularly like the Cap Denmark ice cream. The day before we were at Café Fritz and their ice cream was top notch with stars. I really enjoyed the food, but it was far too little and far too expensive. Personally, I would eat somewhere else.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The rooms are clean and were cleaned daily. The hotel is located in close proximity to the beach and the center is easily accessible on foot. The breakfast is very rich and in the evening you can end the evening with very good food in the hotel's own restaurant. Would definitely book this hotel again.

The Gorch Fock Restaurant absolutely convinced me. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was excellent. The food was very good, from the starters to the dessert everything was perfectly prepared and extremely tasty. I can fully recommend the Gorch Fock Restaurant – a must for anyone who appreciates good food and excellent service.

The quality of the service depends solely on the head waiter, the food was good except for the grill, but nothing more. The price ratio wasn't right. When it comes to dessert, only the ice cream is good, crème brulee and cheesecake don't deserve the name. The ambience, on the other hand, is first class.

Das Essen hat uns gar nicht überzeugt. Die Schollenfilets waren sehr klein, ich glaube nicht, dass die frisch waren, sondern, dass es sich um TK-Ware gehandelt hat. Dazu sehr fettig. Auch die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr fettig, zu dick geschnitten und überhaupt nicht knusprig. Es war auch kaum gewürzt, es fehlte Salz, das stand aber zum Glück auf dem Tisch. Von der Portion bin ich so gerade eben satt geworden. Damit gewinnt man keinen Blumentopf. Die Auszeichnungen an der Tür sind auch alle schon 10 - 15 Jahre alt, wahrscheinlich war das mal ein großartiges Restaurant mit einem anderen Koch... Das Frühstücksbuffet ist dafür aber sehr gut, da gibt's nichts zu meckern und das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich.

This is a review of the restaurant. Went there as a group. I can recommend it. There is an indoor and outdoor area. Service friendly. Food was served almost at the same time. All dishes tasty. Side dishes a tad too few. My grilled steak was a little more medium rare than ordered. But perfect for my colleagues. Everything was consistently delicious. Gladly again.

The food is great but the service, which service? The staff is hectic and asks if everything is OK. I then had to ask for napkins or drinks myself at the bar. The only friendliness I found was Alex, who made the drinks. Zaid is rather difficult. You get processed and even if you're willing to leave money there, it's lost on you... I wouldn't go there anymore.

Ambiente und der Service sind okay. Aber dass ein Original Wiener Schnitzel schon nach gut 5 Minuten nach der Bestellung auf dem Tisch steht , lässt darauf schließen, dass hier TK zum Einsatz kommt.. was auch die Panade beim Schnitzel zeigte , die nicht flockig,locker war, sondern fest an dem Fleisch klebte. Die Portion Bratkartoffeln war übersichtlich. Zumindest das Gericht würden wir nicht wieder bestellen.

Leider war mein Hühnchen so trocken und totgebraten, dass man es nicht genießen konnte. Für meinen Geschmack auch zuwenig Soße und eine eher kleine Portion. Richtig satt war ich nicht. Der Service war sehr freundlich und mir wurde Schnaps oder Kaffee als Entschädigung für das trockene Fleisch angeboten. Ich kann das Restaurant nicht empfehlen und werde nicht mehr hingehen.

We spent one night here and overall we had a rather positive impression. The rooms weren't entirely modern but the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We are also allowed to check in earlier. The location is also very good as you only have to cross the street once to get to the beach.

I am only reviewing the restaurant stay for dinner and it was first class at the Gorch Fock. The decor and atmosphere are very cozy, the staff are friendly and quick, the food is excellent. Whether Viennese schnitzel of veal, herring, pan fish or salad with salmon fillet, everything was very tasty. The prices are high, but in the local average and in return you get the highest quality food. Just a small note: At the restaurant's peak time, three service staff were simply not enough. They basically had to run to serve every guest in a timely manner and that leads to a hectic atmosphere. Overall, a clear recommendation and we will be back. Update: We went to the Gorch Fock Restaurant again. Again it was first class. Additionally, here is a seasonal recommendation: asparagus with potatoes and hollandaise sauce. The asparagus was cooked to perfection, not hard and not too soft, great. Again, very friendly service.

Die Gerichte kamen sehr schnell, was schon ein Indiz dafür ist, dass es alles schon „fertig“ war und das schmeckt man leider auch. Das ist eher Systemgastronomie die mit sehr viel TK Produkten und Fertigsaucen etc. arbeiten. Tüten aufmachen und Dinge auftauen kann ich zu Hause besser, dafür muss ich nicht ins Restaurant. Sehr schade, aber dieses Restaurant kann ich leider nicht empfehlen. Preisleistung nicht angemessen.

A nice little hotel with nice rooms, a great location (beach across the street, town center within walking distance) and a good restaurant. All employees were very friendly and accommodating. Only the mattresses were a bit too hard for me.

Today, February 24th, 2024, we had something to eat at the Hotel Restaurant Gorch Fock without staying overnight. I ordered a cordon bleu for 24 euros and my girlfriend ordered sour meat for 18 euros. You didn't even get a handful of fried potatoes with the dish. According to my palate, the cordon bleu is frozen goods. When I cut the meat, water came out. The inside was still a bit cold and consisted of a cheese spread instead of a filling. The cheese spread was a bit crumbly, as if it had been thawed. In my opinion, the carrot slices and beans were also frozen goods. The same thing happens again with sour meat. According to the palate it was frozen sour meat with about 6 cubes of meat. The jelly tasted watery. The salad consisting of a few leaves with hardly any dressing was pleasant compared to the pickled meat and met the standard. The tartar sauce tasted sour and watery and was only served upon customer request. Conclusion: In terms of quality and taste, in our opinion, the price is totally overpriced! Price-performance ratio is underground. The only thing that was okay was the presentation. If you're generally looking for good food, especially German cuisine, you've come to the wrong place.

We ate in the restaurant there without spending the night in the actual hotel. We had the "panfish" and the "cordon bleu". We enjoyed both dishes very much and the portions were good. Delicious “home cooking”. All the service staff were very nice and polite. We would like to come again.

We have visited this restaurant several times over the past few years and have always been very satisfied. Nice and cozy atmosphere, very friendly service staff and the food is simply delicious. In our opinion, the price level will still be absolutely appropriate in 2023. We will definitely come here again in the future when our wanderlust takes us to Timmerdorfer Strand. Ein älteres Haus mit vielen Treppen. Wer nicht gut zu Fuß ist, hat hier Probleme, denn es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, In unserem Zimmer war die Aussicht allerdings gar nicht schön. Frühstücksbuffet war recht gut. Es gibt für Hotelgäste einen Parkplatz für 10 Euro am Tag. Die Innenstadt erreicht man nach ca 500 Metern.

Die Fischsuppe war inhaltlich gut gefüllt leider wässrig und leicht versalzen. Mein Hauptgang Matjes war eine Zumutung. Ein Minifilet in zwei Streifen geschnitten, von braun grüner Farbe und warm. Das Dressing (Hausfrauen Art) war ne billige Majonaise mit Gurkenwasser. Der Panfisch meiner Begleitung war gut , mehr leider auch nicht. Hervorheben möchte ich den sehr guten Service und die Weinkarte. Danke für den doppelten Grappa als Entschuldigung.

Lange nicht so viel Geld für zu wenig Essen ausgegeben ! Für 20 € gab es zwei kleine frittierte Röstitaler und einen Klecks Sahnesosse mit wenigen Pilzen und höchstens einem aufgeschnittenen Schweinefilet-Medaillon in ganz schmal aufgeschnittenen Stückchen als Geschnetzeltes. Keinen Salat dazu, noch nicht einmal eine Salatdekoration ! Völlig überteuert und einfach zu wenig. Ich habe ne Tomatensuppe nachbestellt, die sehr lecker war und mit 6 Scheiben Baguette dazu an den Tisch gebracht wurde, da hatte wohl jemand in der Küche ein schlechtes Gewissen... Ich kenne das Gorch Fock schon sehr lange, mag die neue funktionalere Einrichtung durchaus, aber an manche Gerichte muss die Küche noch mal dran !! Sonst komme ich nicht wieder...

Ich war irgendwie schokiert. Habe Pan Fisch bestellt. Nach 3 Minuten hatte ich mein Essen. In der Mikrowelle warm gemacht. Ich war so perplex das ich gar nichts sagen konnte. Fisch war okay, Bratkartoffeln hart und die Soße einfach nur drüber geklatscht. 20€ war es nicht wert. War vor 2 Jahren ein paar mal dort und es war immer lecker. Bin total enttäuscht, auch der Service ist nur Zack Zack. Ich werde dort definitiv nicht mehr essen gehen

Gute bürgerliche Küche, Service in Ordnung, jedoch manchmal längere Wartezeit da viel Betrieb. Reservierung unbedingt erforderlich.

Wir wollten zu unserem Hochzeitstag einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen und haben die Fischplatte für 2 Personen bestellt. Der Fisch war totgebraten und trocken, die Bratkartoffeln trieften vor Fett. Die Bedienung war wirklich bemüht aber einfach zu Wenige für die Menge an Tischen und wir mussten immer sehr lange warten.

Wir waren zum Frühstück im Gorch Fock, da dieses auch für Laufkundschaft und nicht nur für Hausgäste angeboten wird. Der Preis ist mit 18,95€/Person stattlich. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist zwar reichlich und mit einer guten Auswahl, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Für einen ausgiebigen Brunch ist der Preis ok, nicht aber für ein normales Frühstück. Eine Frechheit ist aber, dass die Tassen nicht sauber sind, teilweise sogar stark verschmutzt, und die Tische und Sitzplätze auch nicht ordentlich gereinigt werden, sehr unappetitlich, nicht empfehlenswert.

Service sehr schlecht und komplett überfordert. Unpersönlich und unprofessionell. Essen mäßig. Fischplatte fettig und überteuert. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Entgegen früheren Besuchen sind wir dieses Mal total enttäuscht worden. Obwohl ausreichend Platz vorhanden war, wurden wir ziemlich eng an einem Zweiertisch zwischen anderen Gästen platziert. Unsere warmen Hauptgerichte kamen schon nach wenigen Minuten ... keine Hausfrau hätte in dieser Zeit Fisch und Bratkartoffeln braten können. FRISCH ZUBEREITET waren die Gerichte daher eher nicht. Leider waren sie auch nicht geschmackvoll und mit viel zu wenig Sauce angerichtet. Mangels Bedienungspersonals in der Nähe konnten wir nicht einmal Sauce nachordern. Wahrscheinlich hat es einen Besitzer- oder Eigentümerwechsel gegeben ... war ja früher mal richtig gut.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir haben Scholle Finkenwerder Art bzw. Büsumer Art mit Bratkartoffeln gegessen! Die Schollen waren sehr lecker und die Bratkartoffeln knusprig und sehr gut zubereitet! Wir können das Lokal weiterempfehlen!

Sehr gutes Restaurants mit hervorragender Bedienung! Sehr leckere Klassiker wie Matjes etc. Auch der Wintergarten sah toll aus, dort darf geraucht werden.

1½ Stunde auf Steakteller und Geschnetzeltes gewartet mit ausreden das Küche soviel zutun hat. Gäste die uns kamen und auch gebratenes bestellt hatten waren schon wieder gegangen. Wir sind öfter in Timmendorf,aber das muss ich mir nicht wieder geben. Nach mehrmaligem Fragen wurde die Bedienung auch noch putzig. Für uns nie wieder und es gibt im Umkreis zum Glück noch mehr Restaurants .

Wir haben im Wintergarten gesessen - sehr angenehm. Der Fisch und die Beilagen waren sehr gut und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam.
