Sehr freundlich, und alles lecker.

Einfach am 30.05.26 spontan angekommen und ohne Buchung ein Zimmer bekommen. Separaten Eingang gehabt. Sehr netter Empfang. Besonders ein Kellner war sehr nett im Gegensatz zu den anderen beiden, wo abends gesagt wurde nur noch 15 Minuten dann ist Feierabend in der Küche. Der besagte nette Kellner sagte ich kann mir etwas mehr Zeit lassen. Danke dafür. Ich konnte mich nicht mehr bedanken er hatte dann bald Feierabend. Das Essen war super. 150 m zum Strand alles richtig gemacht. Ich bedanke mich für die Gastfreundschaft. Immer wieder gern checke ich dort ein wenn ich mal wieder eine Auszeit brauche.

Das alte Haus versprüht seine Charme, es ist alt und zum Teil auch abgewohnt und trotzdem sehr schön

Ein etwas älteres, aber gut gelegenes Hotel direkt am Meer mit einem guten Restaurant. Kein Aufzug. Kostenlose Parkplätze im Freien direkt neben dem Hotel.

Wir waren mit Familie im Gorch Fock und haben Abends vom Grill gegessen. Fleisch-und Fischlatten sehr reichlich und schmackhaft. Service bemüht und nett…bis auf das Abräumen. Wir hatten mit 8 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern 22 Gläser -18 leer-auf dem Tisch zu stehen. Mit den nicht abgeräumten leeren Tellern gibt es also viel Platz auf den Tischen…sonst wirklich top

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier. Gute Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl und freundlicher Service.

Vor 3 Jahren : Angenehme Atmosphäre und freundliche aufmerksame Mitarbeiter die sehr höflich und zuvorkommend sind, meinen Kleinen Hund jedesmal verpflegen und streicheln. Die Küche hervorragend und sehr guter Tee. Empfehlenswert. Update zur Bewertung (1,5 Jahre später): Von Herzlichkeit zu absoluter Empathielosigkeit. Diskriminierung. „Leider muss ich meine ursprüngliche 5-Sterne-Bewertung revidieren. Nach 1,5 Jahren hat sich alles geändert. Ich kam nach einer schweren Chemotherapie, sichtlich geschwächt und im Rollstuhl, mit meinen Eltern zu Ihnen. Abgemagert. Wir wollten den letzten Tag vor meinem nächsten, 8-monatigen Krankenhausaufenthalt gemeinsam ausklingen lassen. Da es hieß, es wäre unsere letzte gemeinsam Zeit, da mir die Ärzte keine Überlebenschancen gaben. Obwohl wir bereits eine Kürbis -Curry-Ingwer-Suppe bestellt hatten, wurden wir kurz darauf aufgefordert, das Restaurant zu verlassen – und das auf eine unglaublich unfreundliche Art und Weise. In einer Situation, in der man ohnehin körperlich und seelisch am Limit ist, so behandelt zu werden, empfinde ich als diskriminierend und zutiefst menschlich enttäuschend. Vom ehemals aufmerksamen Service ist leider nichts mehr übrig geblieben. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nach dieser Erfahrung nie wieder betreten.“ Trotzdem alles Gute. Ich habe eigentlich dieses Hotel sehr geschätzt auch das Restaurant. Schade drum. Das äußerliche ist grundsätzlich nicht der Charakter eines jeden Menschen,- sondern seine Würde. Und die sollte unantastbar sein. Nur weil man nach Quasi einer Chemotherapie im Rollstuhl kraftlos sitzt und ohne Haare und abgemagert ist, Bedeutet es nicht, dass man Eltern die ihre Tochter Pflegen Menschen verachtent behandeln sollte. Übrigens ich hab's überlebt und die Haare wachsen wieder nach. Aber die Erinnerung bleibt. Schade drum. Dachte wir wären gute alte Nachbarn und man achtet sich. Enttäuschend.

Da mein Mann in der Nähe eine Schulung hatte, habe ich mich mit meiner Tochter für fünf Tage hier eingemietet. Checkin ist eigentlich ab 14.00, aber unser Zimmer war gehen 11.00 schon fertig. Kaum das Hotel betreten, wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und bekamen unser Zimmerschlüssel und die Kurkarte. Zimmer waren sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück ist ausgesprochen vielfältig und abwechslungsreich. Man hatte die Wahl, frischen Filterkaffee oder von der Maschine Cappuccino, Latte Macciato und Cafe Crema, sowie Espresso. Das Restaurant bot genügend Sitzgelegenheiten und war recht groß. Die Dame von der Rezeption war super lieb, freundlich und aufmerksam. (Fr. Neutzner) Die Lage ist top. Zwei Gehminuten zum Strand. Direkt gegenüber ist eine Bushaltestelle in Richtung Schabeutz, in die andere Richtung nach Travemünde geht's dann um die Birkenallee in die Poststraße. Alles in Allem: Kuscheliges kleines und gepflegtes Hotel in bester Lage. Haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten ein paar wundervolle Tage.

Das Hotel war sauber und ordentlich. Mein Zimmer war einfach, aber funktional eingerichtet. Das Bett war bequem, und ich konnte gut schlafen. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist mir die Sauberkeit im Bad sowie der tägliche Reinigungsservice. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Check-in verlief schnell und unkompliziert. Bei Fragen wurde mir stets höflich weitergeholfen. Die Lage des Hotels war ebenfalls praktisch, da der Strand mit einem 2 Minütigen Weg zu Fuß gut zu erreichen war! Insgesamt bietet das Hotel ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wer keinen Luxus erwartet, sondern eine saubere und angenehme Unterkunft sucht, ist hier genau richtig

For the first time, we treated ourselves to a Christmas holiday. My wife and I spontaneously chose the Hotel Gorch Fock in Timmendorfer Strand. Thanks to the heart and soul of the hotel, Ms. Tina Neutzner, our holiday was once again a wonderful experience. Ms. Neutzner was always available to listen to our needs and requests during our stay. Despite the busy reception area, there was always time for a friendly chat. The festively decorated hotel exuded a cozy atmosphere and gave us a lovely Christmas feeling. The fantastic breakfast, which Ms. Christine Schulz and her team painstakingly prepare every day, left nothing to be desired. Despite the hustle and bustle and the many guests, Ms. Schulz always took the time for a quick chat at our tables. All of this has convinced us to book our holiday at this hotel again next year.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is incredibly empathetic. Anyone planning a sea burial in Niendorf and the surrounding area absolutely must stay at this hotel. Everyone is incredibly kind and considerate. You feel welcome and well cared for. The location is central, and all the rooms are lovely and clean. The food is also excellent and offers good value for money. I will definitely be back and would gladly return, this time for a holiday.

Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a funeral, but we still enjoyed it very much. The location was perfect for us, as we boarded the boat at the Seeschlösschen Bridge, which is just a few minutes away. The rooms were a good size with a nice sitting area. The staff was very friendly. In the evenings, we ate in the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was very attentive. Breakfast was excellent and left nothing to be desired. It's also possible to have breakfast there even if you're not staying at the hotel. There's a bus stop very close by. With the visitor's card, you can use the bus for €1 per ride.

A lovely hotel in a great location – just across the street and you're on the beach, or a short walk along the street leads to the promenade with cafes, shops, Sea Life, and more. Everything is easily accessible on foot. The food in the restaurant is very good, as is the service. Breakfast is very generous; there's truly something for everyone, and we received a friendly welcome. Parking is available on-site, as usual, for a fee.

The hotel's location is very good. Right in the center and close to the beach. The service is very attentive. The rooms are a bit dated, especially the bathrooms and the hallways/staircases. The breakfast is very good for the category.

Quiet location, good clean hotel with friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the room is a disgrace. The door has no soundproofing, hangs crooked, and closes poorly, so you can hear every word and every footstep from the hallway. Since the room was right next to the entrance and exit, you could also hear the glass door slamming. So, it was just plain loud until after midnight and from 7 a.m. onward! The receptionist told them it was just an old building... no words!

We weren't staying there, but we tried the restaurant. The ambiance was very appealing, so we stopped in. The cutlery was literally thrown onto our table, so we had to arrange it neatly next to us. The food didn't come out of the kitchen completely hot, and the portions weren't good value for money. The taste wasn't bad at all. We were approached by people at the next table, guests at the hotel as well, who shared similar impressions and also felt that the staff lacked the necessary friendliness. We won't be visiting this restaurant again. Our vacation was in September 2025. Our average age was 55.

Good and plentiful breakfast, price-performance for breakfast OK.

We celebrated a wedding there on Saturday, September 20th. Everything went perfectly. The food, the staff, the restaurant, and the hotel management were all very friendly and did everything to make the celebration unforgettable. Even the weather was on our side. In short, it was incredibly beautiful. I would 100% recommend the Hotel & Restaurant Gorch Fock. Whether it's a wedding reception or a birthday party, the restaurant management knows how to organize it.

As always, I stop by as I do on vacation... unfortunately, the menu has been significantly reduced... Service is okay, but nothing more... Wine and water aren't poured... a sealed wine bottle is placed on the table... otherwise friendly. The food is still very good, but also expensive.

The start to the day was always pleasant and well looked after. Housekeeping Very courteous staff. I was even helped with transporting my luggage without asking. The room was clean, well-maintained, and tidy. No refrigerator. Location Very good. Just a few minutes' walk to the beach and town. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel – ideal for excursions without a car. In-house restaurant Something unusual: the wood-fired grill is in use from time to time, with a corresponding smoky smell, which might bother sensitive guests. The staff is very efficient, but reservations for individuals are not accepted. There are good alternatives nearby, where solo travelers are also welcome (reservations are required). Conclusion An all-around pleasant stay. The hotel is well-run, friendly, and clean. It's especially suitable for solo travelers. I would be happy to return. Many thanks to the hotel team.

This was our first time at this hotel. We received a very warm welcome right away, and the staff was extremely accommodating and made every effort to accommodate all our requests. The room was clean, with minimal noise even in the evenings and at night. Also worth mentioning is that the breakfast buffet was always fresh, delicious, and offered a wide selection. The additional dog-friendliness was a huge advantage for us, as we travel with at least one dog and therefore try out different hotels. We will definitely return to this one.

On a grill plate for two people, there should be two of each type of meat. The quantity could also be more. Plus a tiny side dish of vegetables... The price of €60 is absolutely unacceptable.

No elevator!!!!!! For older people or those who can't lift heavy objects, getting their suitcases up is a real challenge... No balcony, but the staff is very friendly.

Restaurant Review Beef fillet cooked to perfection, medium. There was far too little salad as a side dish for the steak. It's a good thing I asked in advance if I could have some bread with it. The answer was a bit specific: "Yes, I can bring it for you. It's okay." It's okay? That was a bit irritating. Unfortunately, the breading on the Wiener Schnitzel was completely saturated with fat.

The price/performance ratio has dropped significantly. The food, with one exception, was of a good standard. But if you want to be full, this isn't the place for you at the moment. Service, as always, is top-notch and very understanding. We're giving it another chance, as we've been going there at least once on our vacation for years. We hope it improves again.

The lady who actually does the service was not there for our check-in and so a lot of things were forgotten

The restaurant has one advantage that shouldn't be underestimated. It's located diagonally across the street from the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen—about 150 meters away. So I only had to cross the street to enjoy a fine meal in a pleasant atmosphere. The quality of the fish dishes was excellent, and the service staff was extremely friendly, prompt, and courteous. Although I find the prices a bit high, it gets five out of five stars.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as external guests (without an overnight stay). For €19, non-residents are also welcome to have breakfast there. No reservation was required. The buffet was open until 10:30 a.m. Coffee, tea, juice, water, rolls, croissants, cakes, butter, jam, sausage, ham, cheese, salmon, muesli, eggs, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, etc. Everything was self-service on the ground floor. In front of it is a beautiful, bright conservatory, and all just 100 meters from the beach. Between Timmendorfer Strand and Niendorf. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is good. The service staff was very friendly. Parking, however, was a bit problematic. The restrooms were clean but a bit dated. We often visit Timmendorf and will definitely return. These are my personal experiences at the time of our visit. No one is meant to be discredited.

We only visited the restaurant here. Very nice ambiance and friendly service. So much for the positives. The food was a complete disaster. The salmon was extremely dry and overcooked, the green asparagus was woody in places, and the potatoes were still raw inside. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it at all.

Very, very nice staff. Room: Unfortunately, there was no shampoo in the shower. On the day of arrival, there were two small bottles on the shelf. That was it. The water in the shower drained very poorly. Upon checking, we noticed that the strainer and drain were full of hair. This strainer hadn't been cleaned in months. It should be cleaned at least once a week. One window wouldn't close. There was no refrigerator for drinks. The bed had plastic-covered backrests, which were very worn. Breakfast was good. The hotel's location is very good.

Unfortunately, it's not quite as first-class as last year. Last year I gave this place 5 stars because the food and service were simply perfect. That was definitely in line with the perhaps slightly above-average prices. This year both service and taste dropped. The service wasn't unfriendly, but rather slightly bored. In particular, I was handed two hot plates without warning, which I had accepted to make serving easier for the service. The food was still good, but no longer particularly great. You can see this, for example, if you compare the two pictures of the Wiener Schnitzel. Crispy but light breading from last year, slightly burnt breading this year. Overall, the taste was still good, but the price-performance ratio has deteriorated somewhat. We'll see what it's like next year.

The food and service was really top in the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and ambience. It's a little more expensive in terms of price, but I definitely recommend it.

The hotel is very conveniently located, right near the sea, and you can get to the city quickly on foot. The nights in the hotel were very quiet and in the morning a rich breakfast awaits the guest. Thanks to Ms. Schulz's constant kindness, every breakfast is a nice experience and the day couldn't start better. When you leave the hotel, there is still time to have a nice chat with Ms. Neutzner at the reception and get a tip or two. After a “strenuous” day of vacation, you can then treat yourself to a real treat in the hotel’s own restaurant as the crowning finale. The food and the warm friendliness of the staff in the restaurant were unique to us and will remain in our fond memories. We are already looking forward to our next vacation in this hotel.

Very tasty food Had asparagus and fish. Everything perfect

We stayed here for the weekend and it was really nice. Very friendly staff both at the reception and in the restaurant. A great location for the promenade and the center. The breakfast was great, a nice buffet with everything your heart could desire. What we didn't like so much were the rooms. Although they were quite clean, they were already showing their age. Unfortunately, the wooden stairs that lead through the hotel creaked very loudly, which meant that other guests wandered around at night (our room was also right next to the stairs). And from a hygienic and allergy perspective, I personally find the full carpet lining of the entire hotel a bit inappropriate. But otherwise it is absolutely recommended. Tip: Announce in advance if you need a parking space. There are parking spaces in the surrounding area, but they also involve small running routes.

Price-performance was not at all. We were just in the restaurant. Highly priced and unfortunately not particularly good. Very salty and we also doubt whether the sauces are homemade. The ambience is nice in itself, but the music takes a lot of getting used to. Service ok. We will not be welcomed here again as guests.

A very special, small, cute hotel. Located almost directly on the promenade, yet quiet and close to many restaurants. The service was very good, the breakfast was also very good and had a lot of (also healthy) selection! Room nice and quiet on the third floor.

If you would like a parking space at the hotel, you should book it at the same time, if available, for 12 euros per day. There are not enough parking spaces at the hotel for all guests. There is a huge parking lot about 10 minutes walk for 6 euros a day. Address: Wiesenweg in Timmendorf. However, you should unload your luggage at the hotel. There is a lockable room for bicycles.

Went there to eat on New Year's Eve, unfortunately it wasn't so good in the second slide at 8 p.m. Roast beef was only lukewarm, after the second attempt the meat was warmer but the potatoes were not cooked. Expected something better for the price.

I have been a guest many times and it is very nice to see how the modernization is taking place. The food, especially the breakfast, is lovingly prepared. The rooms are functionally furnished and yet very comfortable. Everything is within easy walking distance. My fellow travelers also like to come back.

20240822 During my week-long business stay in Timmendorfer Strand, we also visited the "Gorch Fock" restaurant. Since we were a larger group, we had reserved well in advance, which was possible without any problems. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Our drinks were served quickly and the wait for the food was also pleasantly short. The dishes were attractively prepared and of excellent quality - convincing in terms of both taste and presentation. As for the prices, they are certainly debatable, but in my opinion the price-performance ratio was reasonable. I can fully recommend the restaurant and would visit it again at any time.

I was in the restaurant as a non-hotel guest and was amazed at how good the food tasted. In addition, you didn't have to wait long for food/drinks, it all went really quickly. I can only recommend it!

Das Essen war wirklich nichts besonderes, und unser Kellner kam eher genervt rüber. Meine "Finkenwerder" Scholle war total mager. Das arme Tier hätte noch viel länger in's Meer gehört um sich was anzuessen, statt so abgemagert auf einem Teller zu landen... Dazu gab es dreieinhalb Bratkartoffeln, die auch weder qualitativ noch quantitativ der Rede wert waren weder (kamen mir auch nichtmal wirklich gebraten vor). Dafür wurden in meinen Augen viel zu viel Speckwürfel drüber gekippt, vielleicht wollen sie damit die magere Scholle kaschieren ;-) Als Vorspeise hatte ich den gebratenen Ziegenkäse, der war ok, aber außer dem Käse selber waren auch nur winzige Cherry Tomaten Stücke und ein paar Salatblättchen dabei. Hat uns daher leider nicht wirklich gefallen, und ohne die Vorspeise wäre ich nur durch das 28 EUR "Schöllchen" auch nicht satt geworden. PS: Einrichtung ist natürlich auch immer sehr subjektiv, uns kam sie allerdings zu nüchtern und eher ungemütlich rüber.

Always delicious food, recommended. Have eaten there several times. Cheesecake at the end 👍 last time we just wanted to have a drink🍺🍷 and enjoy a Ceescake. There was But the service was unfriendly and made us feel like we weren't welcome 😕 🤔☹️

Very nice hotel near the beach and the town center is 500 meters away. Great breakfast buffet. Great room. We liked it very much.

We go on vacation to Niendorf Baltic Sea every year...👍and we also go to the restaurant in the Gorch Fock Hotel every year...The service is excellent and we are thrilled with the food. Everything is just right here...We have also stayed at the hotel several times. We love it 🤗

We just enjoyed the great brunch and the excellent dinner.
