Restaurant Hafenblick in Timmendorfer Strand

Six of us came here for dinner today. We made a last-minute reservation by phone. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our comfortable table with a view of the harbor. Drinks arrived promptly. The food was quickly ordered and served. The food was consistently delicious, from the appetizer (mushroom bruschetta) to the main courses! We all had different fish dishes. Truly amazing! The value for money is excellent here. The service was courteous, attentive, and very friendly! Thank you so much for the lovely evening!

Today, after the burial at sea, we held our funeral service at the Hafenblick restaurant. From the advance reservation to the food and service, everything was fantastic. The food is highly recommended, and the value for money is excellent. Special thanks go to Patti from the service department, who looked after us and served us so well.

We decided on this restaurant spontaneously, and since we're currently here out of season, getting a table was no problem at all. We were impressed by the menu, which is also available online and up-to-date, which seems to be unusual here. Based on the service's recommendation, we opted for the platter for two with great hake (among other things) and a very crisp salad. It was beautifully presented, incredibly tasty, and the quality and price were reasonable. Many thanks also for the excellent service, which was always there, but completely unobtrusive. It's also great that, as a change from the typical beer, they serve a tasty beer from a small brewery called "Sudden Death" in Lübeck. We'd love to come back!

Even though we didn't have a reservation, the Keller staff quickly assigned us a table inside. There were four of us, and I can say right away that the food was excellent. The service was excellent (very prompt and attentive), the price was right (high-quality ingredients, no frozen food), and the taste was impeccable. We were very satisfied and would go back.

The food was delicious! We had three different fish dishes, and all of them were truly delicious. The service was extremely friendly, and special requests were accommodated. The view of the harbor was beautiful, and the ambiance was pleasant. You can sit inside or outside, but it's best to reserve a table well in advance. I would eat there again anytime.

Generally, the food is delicious at reasonable prices, and the service is very fast, although our waiter seemed rather unmotivated and barely spoke. The location is top-notch!

This is our second visit this year, and what can I say... both times the food was incredibly delicious, the staff were very attentive and friendly, and the view over Niendorf Harbor was breathtaking! I once again had the daily fish pan, which was absolutely delicious, and my wife had a delicious fish soup, as well as noodles with shrimp and lobster cream. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be back at the Hafenblick restaurant.

I had the fish platter with three different fish fillets, and my wife had the cod. It was absolutely delicious, and everything went together wonderfully. Located directly on the harbor, this restaurant offers a great view of the hustle and bustle on a beautiful summer evening. On the screened terrace, everyone will find a spot – if you reserve (recommended) – whether sunny or more shady. The service is attentive, very friendly, and competent – a clear 5 stars. The food (fish plaice, Niendorf fish platter) was consistently excellent. All in all, a clear recommendation for a lively restaurant visit at Niendorf Harbor.

We were at the Hafenblick restaurant last week. The online reservation was easy, and the confirmation came quickly. The three of us sat outside. We ate a fish platter for two. Upon request, the shrimp were replaced with a fish fillet. 😃 The Smash Burger was also customized to our daughter's wishes. We were served by a very nice, uncomplicated, and courteous young lady – adorable☺️. About the food: the fish platter was incredibly delicious 😋....the remoulade was melt-in-your-mouth...it tasted similar to my grandma's ☺️, and the mustard dressing was delicious too. Homemade – you can tell. The burger was also delicious, and our daughter loved it. For dessert, we had the chocolate soufflé/liquid center with ice cream. Also delicious. Of course, it's not cheap, but you get a great taste experience... I'd be happy to come back...😋😃😋

We have different Fish Dishes, everything was delicious especially the home made Remoulade from them. I just find the Remoulade serving a little too small or I just enjoy my dishes richly with sauce. But all in all, everything was so as I have imagined with Salad and Fried Potatoes. I was satisfied and full.

If you want to dine on delicious fish at relatively reasonable prices, this restaurant is a great choice—we haven't eaten such good fish in a long time. The ambiance is okay, and the service was excellent and very friendly! It's worth a visit.

During our vacation on the Baltic Sea, we visited this lovely restaurant twice. Both the lunch menu and the regular menu were very appealing. We had the panfish with potatoes, salad, and mustard sauce, as well as the fried fish with delicious dips, remoulade, and salad. The food was always of high quality and delicious. The remoulade and salad dressing were clearly fresh and homemade. Very good quality fish, beautifully prepared. Service was friendly, traditionally North German, without overly fussy. The location is beautiful, centrally located in the town by the harbor. We'll definitely be back on our next vacation!

Hi. Four of us ate there today, July 10, 2025. We made a reservation in advance. It's worth mentioning that you can also make reservations outside. The appointment was confirmed or reminded by text message on the day of the reservation. The reception was friendly and relaxed. The assigned table was perfect; we had enough space, even for our dog, who had been registered by phone. The menus arrived promptly, and our drink orders were brought quickly. The menu is fortunately not too extensive, but should cover every taste. We had fried fish, cod, hake fillet, and the original Wiener Schnitzel, which unfortunately isn't always available. Everything we had tasted excellent. For dessert, we ordered vanilla ice cream, crème brûlée, and a small chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. That was also great. I can't comment on the restrooms as I didn't use them. The service was very friendly and incredibly attentive! The price/quality ratio is appropriate for the place and location and completely reasonable. We're locals and visited the Hafenblick for the first time, but certainly not the last. Our conclusion: absolutely recommended.

We eat here at least once a year (for my father's birthday), and it's ALWAYS great. The food (we usually have fish) is always really good. Everything arrives at the table very promptly. The service is really attentive and friendly, often checking on things – without being annoying; it's very pleasant! They cater to all guests, whether they're children or older adults. You can tell they're well-trained, yet the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Even though I live about two hours away, I would count it among my favorite restaurants!

A beautiful restaurant in a prime location with fantastic service and staff. They were truly accommodating and friendly. When I asked if my 2-year-old son would like the food, I received a resounding "Yes!" The Hafenblick restaurant truly comes highly recommended. I'd go back anytime!

Wir hatten einen 3 mal Pannfisch Seelachsfilet und einmal Niendorfer Fischpfanne bestellt. Das Seelachsfilet war tiefgefroren, trocken hatte keinen Geschmack und war nicht gewürzt. Die Niendorfer Fischpfanne war auch nicht besser. Jeder Fisch schmeckte gleich , viele Gräten und auch nicht gewürzt. Der Pannfisch kostete 24,50 incl. Bratkartoffeln. Das war auch das einzige was schmeckte. Die Senfsoße die es zum Fisch gab war zu dick und schmeckte auch nicht. Die Fischpfanne war mit 27,50 auch überteuert. Die Getränkepreise zu hoch. Wir sind aufgrund der guten Bewertungen in das Restaurant gegangen und wurden enttäuscht.

Hier haben wir den besten Kutterscholle der Welt gegessen,eine schöne Atmosphäre, Ausblick und eine sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung.Hier werden wir immer wieder zurück kehren.

The food here is truly delicious. From the heath potatoes to the asparagus to the fish dishes, we highly recommend everything. The service staff was also extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, especially when it came to questions about the different types of fish. Highly recommended.

I would like to share my experience at the Hafenblick restaurant, which we chose for a final gathering after my mother's burial at sea. The restaurant is within easy walking distance of the harbor, which was particularly convenient for the older mourners. We were able to discuss our wishes by phone in advance and adjust them even at short notice. Upon our arrival, it was even possible to change the seating arrangements, as some mourners preferred to sit outside, a flexibility we greatly appreciated. The day itself was beautiful: We had a loving burial at sea in glorious sunshine, and afterward, we were able to enjoy some lovely conversations at Hafenblick. The entire team, the pre-planning, the execution, and the flexibility of the restaurant were simply exemplary. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again and hope to see you again sometime – this time under different circumstances. Thank you for everything! 😊

We were at Hafenblick today. Totally nice and good service. The food was really tasty, but the one potato and the micro-small schnitzel with the asparagus weren't filling. There should be enough filling side dishes such as potatoes (offer to add more if necessary) if you go out to eat for €28. 4 out of 5 people were enthusiastic about the service, the food was delicious, but the portion was too small, person 5 usually eats a senior's plate and was full and happy. So, great food, great ambience, but a bit little, we all thought and needed a fish sandwich afterwards🤣🙈 To be fair, I'm still writing that we didn't ask if we could get another potato... Two pieces of potato was really not enough for adults when we're talking about heather potatoes and not heather potatoes. Maybe we would have gotten a second helping, but we didn't ask. But as I said, everything was delicious and the service was really good

We had lunch - nice place, nice view, tasty and good food at a very good price. And then the attentive and very friendly service - what more could you want? We'd be happy to come back on our next vacation.

Unfortunately, the burger tastes similar to that of a fast food chain. There was also the wrong sauce on the burger! Schnitzel and fries come without any sauces. Crème brûlèe is one of two desserts on the menu and could not be served upon request.

Just back from Niendorf. Had dinner there twice - whether fish or schnitzel, everything was extremely tasty and delicious. The schnitzels in particular were crispy and yet juicy. The fried potatoes are also really recommended. Plus an excellent staff and a beautiful view… Enjoy it!

Anfangs netter Service. Reklamation des Fischgerichtes zweimal ignoriert, wollte man offensichtlich nicht hören. Hering gebraten leider sehr schlecht im Geschmack. Frisch geht anders, tiefgefroren? Habe den ganzen Abend nach dem Hering aufstoßen müssen. Als Hamburgerin, die gerne viel Fisch ist, war das ein unterirdisches Erlebnis. Habe Verständnis, wenn mal was schief geht, aber so fühlte ich mich abgezockt. Schade, die Lage des Lokals ist sensationell.

Visit from September 22, 2024, invoice #37321, table #103. Excellent cuisine, extremely delicious food! Recommended 1000 times. For my wife and me (we both like to cook and know something about the subject!), this restaurant was a revelation and a lonely island in the largely run-down gastronomic landscape. - Quality of the products - very good (fresh fish, homemade(!) breading, fresh potatoes - i.e. no pre-cooked products from storage packs, no frozen meals, etc.), - Processing of the products - very well and professionally (strict adherence to tried and tested recipes for fish dishes, resulting in absolutely delicious, tastefully and visually appealing fish dishes), - portion size - larger than average (even for an adult), - Service - friendly, kind, not intrusive, - Prices - moderate in my opinion (approx. 20 to 28 EUR net for a fish dish of this quality (!) with a side dish, possibly also with salad), - Location - very good, directly opposite the port of Niendorf on the Baltic Sea.

We were there twice with our little (lively :D) son and were served very nicely. The porridge for our little one was of course warmed up and there was a cup of frothed milk to drink. There is a changing table in the ladies room. And the third time my husband ran to the car because we had forgotten something, he got a schnapps on the house. XD Thank you for the great service and delicious food.

I treated myself to homemade fried fish here. The food was very nicely prepared and tasted very good. Unfortunately the view wasn't that good because the weather wasn't good. When the weather is sunny you can definitely eat on the first floor and look out over the harbor.

We had fried fish with potato dippers and a side salad. Plus homemade tartar sauce. The potato dippers were really good and the fried fish was also nice and tender. The homemade tartar sauce also tasted very good and there was no comparison to the store-bought one. Even the side salad (with mustard sauce, I think) was good and tasted fresh.

Very very good food. We only ate fish but the meaty reviews in the area are consistently bad.
