Witwe Bolte Hähnchengrillbar in Pirna

Discovered on the edge of the Christmas market during Advent 24. I was able to go in for a taster price and had a cappuccino. The seating was comfortable and cozy. I could definitely consider staying here for a longer period of time...🤔👍

A stopover took us to Pirna. After a stroll through the city, we started to feel hungry, so we took a look around. The "Witwe Bolte" restaurant is a popular choice, so after a quick look at the menu, we decided to stop in; more precisely, we sat outside. The service staff was quick, very friendly, took our orders, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. Everything was wonderful in terms of taste, price, and portion size. The well-maintained furnishings and building made our stay all the more pleasant. If we were to visit Pirna again, we would know where to stop right away.

We had Max and Moritz, the chicken platter. Absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed the meal. It's very nice here and I highly recommend it ❤️

This was the fourth restaurant during our stay in Pirna, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this one too! They serve good beer 🍺 and delicious food at reasonable prices! We opted for the pan for two people, and I have to say it was plentiful and delicious! To finish off, we had a delicious apricot to aid digestion, which I can also wholeheartedly recommend, even though that's not always the case for me! I'm very sensitive to good fruit brandy! But this one is more than worth the money!

After being very disappointed at the pizzeria next door the second time, we went to Witwe Bolte. Our first impression: the ambiance is simple but cozy. The service is very friendly and attentive. We ordered, among other things, homemade lemonade, which was excellent. For dinner, we had a schnitzel for two people and a chicken breast for one. It looked beautifully presented, and our requests were easily accommodated. This was the best meal we had in Pirna. The schnitzel and chicken were so tender and delicious, it's indescribable. The value for money is excellent. The restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. Next time we're in Pirna and the surrounding area, we'll definitely be back!!! Addendum: We ate there again nine months later. The food was still delicious, and the staff was friendly, too.

First of all: Great motto that makes you want to go to the restaurant. The Widow Bolte theme is also consistently and lovingly implemented inside, great, we really liked it. The food is excellent, we felt very comfortable with Röstel, brawn and schnitzel and would be happy to come back. Ps: Of course there are also broilers and various variations to match the theme, e.g. garlic chicken, which smelled wonderful to us from the neighboring table.

Wir wollten heute nicht kochen. Sind 16 Uhr in das Restaurant. Sind sehr nett bedient worden. Das Essen war super. Mein Mann, ein echter Steakkenner hat an dem hoch geschnittenen Rumpsteak medium nichts auszusetzen gehabt. Mein überbackenes Hähnchensteak war auch sehr lecker. Echt zu empfehlen!

We ate at Witwe Bolte for the first time. The food was delicious. The menu wasn't too overcrowded. There's a small menu for children. There's something for every meat eater. Reservations are recommended.

The food was very good, freshly prepared, and served quickly! The service was very attentive, perhaps a bit too much; you feel pressured to order something when you're sitting in front of an empty glass, or rather, you're slowly having to pay. The kitchen was being cleaned, so payment was made. The emergency change couldn't be charged to a card. A brief reminder to come back to the counter and leave a few euros was given. I decided against it and placed the emergency change on the table. As we left the restaurant, half an hour before closing time, we realized we were the last customers, and were met with a somewhat frosty "Yeah, it's closing time anyway." This gave the impression that the waitress was annoyed that there was no emergency change...

We went to the Christmas party at Witwe Bolte. Very nice atmosphere, the food wasn't great, too salty, and at the end the waitress told us not to laugh and to be quiet because the boss was getting upset🤷🏼‍♀️I'd think twice about going there again!!

After a short tour through the old town of Pirna, we felt invited directly to the market by the small restaurant with the interesting names and the cozy atmosphere. The service is very nice and we didn't have to wait long for our order. The food was really tasty, well seasoned, rich and freshly prepared. We really liked it and can definitely recommend the small restaurant.

Very nice restaurant in Pirna city center. Cozy and with delicious chicken straight from the broiler grill. The service was very nice and the food was beautifully presented and tasted very good The only drawback is that if you would like to order the Max & Moritz platter, please specify this when making your reservation, as a table for two is unfortunately too small for this and we therefore decided not to do so. We were very excited! My husband widow Bolte plate, the fried potatoes are a dream! I chicken on a bed of lettuce. We'll definitely go there more often on our vacation

A very good restaurant. Very nice staff, who also list the options for the children. The food was plentiful and well prepared. The whole family was happy. Good price. In the summer of 2024 we paid around €85 for the whole family including drinks. The location is also pleasant.

You sit directly on the historic market square on a beautiful old house facade. Super friendly and motivated staff. Good and generously sized meals. Like with nuts. High quality standards. Reasonable pricing. We recommend.

We stopped here for coffee. The waiter was very nice. He brought the coffee quite quickly. We had a nice time drinking a warm drink, sitting on comfortable benches. The toilet is clean, you can pay by card.

Very nice and suitable ambience and friendly staff. The portions were large and the food was very good. A small point of criticism: the restaurant closes at 9 p.m., we were aware of that beforehand and wanted to leave the restaurant at that time... but the lights had already been turned off in all the rooms beforehand, so we didn't feel more than welcome. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend the restaurant.

very tasty food (!!!), but the waitress was totally unfriendly. she literally spoiled the experience. it is not clear to me what exactly caused her discomfort (the fact that we are foreigners or the fact that there was a child with us). two more tables were occupied next to us, she had a different attitude towards them

Full 5 stars for ambience, service, price and most importantly... the taste. It was just SUPER DELICIOUS. I invited the family to eat with me in this restaurant for my 50th. Everyone was super happy. Personally, I liked the manageable map. There weren't 1000 dishes on it where you would spend hours finding a dish. Simple, down-to-earth, affordable and tasty dishes. I can only recommend “Witwe Bolte”.

The food tastes good and the portions are really generous. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. 2 drinks and 2 main courses for €40.90 is really ok. Shortly before 8 p.m. I wanted to order dessert, but unfortunately that wasn't possible because the waitress a few tables away was busy chatting and then the kitchen closed at some point. I also went in to pay shortly after 9:30 because the waitress's need for a conversation still hadn't been satisfied.

We just wanted to have a drink, but we were given the message to drink up quickly because we would make more money with guests who wanted to eat, and promptly other guests were deliberately seated at the table, even though there were still enough free seats

The food was fine and the service was friendly and speedy. However, there is a plague of flies in the beer garden. Unfortunately, we were not informed of this by the waitress before we ordered. When our order came we were then warned that a lot of flies will come and we should quickly put the bones of the chicken aside. We did that, but still the flies were extremely annoying and made the food there inedible. Additionally you can only pay cash or with Girocard. Mastercard or Visa are not accepted.

Eine Mittagsoase direkt vor dem Rathaus, nur 3 Minuten vom Radweg entfernt. Umzingelt von 3 anderen Lokalen, die "Witwe Bolte" war für uns die richtige Wahl. Draußen und drin eine gemütliche Gastlichkeit mit sächsischem Charme beim Service. Wir kommen wieder!

Das Lokal ist sehr gut besucht, aber die Gerichte sind leider nur Durchschnitt - hier hatten wir das Gefühl, das es in erster Linie Küche für Touris ist... man weiss ja, die kommen nicht wieder ;-)

Ganz im Ambiente zum Thema Witwe Bolte. Meine Empfehlung ist der Broiler mit der Barbecue Sauce.

Zur Vorspeise hatten wir eine sehr leckere Spargelsuppe. Die Hauptspeisen waren in Ordnung, allerdings auch nicht mehr. Die Pommes zum Hähnchen waren überwürzt und schmeckten nach altem Fett. Das Hähnchen war zwar saftig und geschmacklich okay, allerdings von außen etwas zu kurz gegrillt und somit war die Haut nicht knusprig sondern eher wie Kaugummi. Das Schnitzel war okay, die Bratkartoffeln gut. Die Bedienungen waren super freundlich und wirklich sehr aufmerksam. Die Preise sind okay. Die Lage im Stadtzentrum ist gut und der Außenbereich am Marktplatz schön.

Mjam. Das war ein Schmaus. Wir hatten die Platte für 2 Personen und haben trotz großem Hunger nicht alles geschafft. Für eine GrillBAR war das Essen fantastisch. Service super! Preis absolut in Ordnung! Dankeschön. Wir fanden es Klasse!

Gut gelegenes Restaurant direkt am Markt in Pirna. Unweit des Tom Pauls Theater und eignet sich daher gut zur vorheriger Einkehr. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hat ordentlich zu tun, daher vielleicht nicht ausreichend am einzelnen Gast. Das Essen war lecker und eine ausreichende Portion. Sah so gut aus, dass ich fast vergaß rechtzeitig zu fotografieren. Getränke waren ordentlich gekühlt und die Getränkeauswahl umfassend und ausreichend. Sowohl das Zwickl als auch das Kellerbier ist super. Die Broiler sahen gut aus, aber müssen bis zum nächsten Mal warten. Wir kommen wieder

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, zu 100 Prozent frisch gemacht. Sehr ansprechend Karte, konnte mich gar ne entscheiden. Preis Leistung ist normal. Hähnchen auch zum mitnehmen, mit knoblauch oder barbecue einfach lecker.

Sehr nette Bedienung, leckeres Zwickelbier und die Hähnchen waren außen schön kross und innen schön saftig.

Das Hähnchen war kross und lecker. Genauso auch die Pommes. Die Königsberger Klopse waren auch top. Die Bedienung war freundlich & hilfsbereit. Man kann draußen und drinnen sitzen. Draußen hat man einen schönen Blick.

Wir waren mit dem Fahrrad am Elbradweg unterwegs und haben in Prina am Marktplatz einen Stopp eingelegt. Da ist uns das Witwe Bolte mit den schönen Sitzbänken ins Auge gestochen. Wir haben uns "nur" ein Kaltgetränk und einen Latte Macchiato in der Sonne am Markplatz genossen. Freundliche Bedienung und schöne Location lädt zum verweilen ein.

Dass wir gerade noch die letzten beiden Plätze ohne Vorbestellung am gestrigen Samstagabend zum spontanen Abendessen bekommen haben, hat einen guten Grund - die "Witwe Bolte Hähnchengrillbar" bietet hervorragende und eine große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränke. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Eine Vorbestellung ist zu empfehlen, wenn die Außenplätze witterungsbedingt nicht genutzt werden können. Die Funktion der Eingangstür muss aber überprüft werden.

Das Essen war lecker, was man bei den Preisen jedoch auch erwarten kann. Die Mittagskarte war auch erfreulicherweise kurz gehalten. Wofür es allerdings einen Abzug gibt ist, dass man nicht mit Kreditkarte zahlen kann. Die Begründung der Bedienung war dann auch „Klar wäre es Service für den Kunden, aber so lange wir dafür bezahlen müssen, gibt es das nicht.“ - Das empfinden wir als ziemlich Rückständig und wenn man nicht am Service für Kunden interessiert ist, dann sind wir auch nicht mehr an diesem Restaurant interessiert. Gibt ja zum Glück noch andere Leckereien in Pirna, mit Kreditkartenzahlung.

Das essen ist lecker, deftig und typisch deutsch. Man sitzt Mitten im Zentrum am schönen, historischen Marktplatz. In der Mittagshitze findet man Schatten unter Sonnenschirmen.

Nach wochenlanger Schließung wegen "CORONA" hatte gestern das Restaurant wieder geöffnet. Zur Zeit nur der Außenbereich aber,dass hat mir gar nichts ausgemacht! Sonnenschein ein frisch gezapftes Pils natürlich habe ich auch noch hier gegessen. Ich hoffe es geht bald weiter bergauf den das Gastättengewerbe hat kanns toll unter diesen verordneten Maßnahmen gelitten.

Das erste mal hier und nicht zum letzten Mal. Super Qualität sehr nettes Personal. Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen.

Endlich ist es mir gelungen auch mal in die Gaststätte "Witwe Bolte" einzukehren. Wir sind meist mit unserem Hund unterwegs,der ist hier leider nicht gestattet wegen der Hygiene (offene Küche). Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dem Service und auch dem Essen. Also muss ich wiedermal mit Freunden oder allein reinschauen und meinen Hund bei Freunden unterbringen.

I came here for lunch with my wife’s uncle who has lived in Pirna all of his life. He absolutely loves the town and says he’s eaten in every restaurant. So when he picked this one I knew it would be good. It was authentic and we both had a great meal. I had the Sachen Rostbrätl and he had Sūlze. Both were great, especially when washed down with local Radebergers.

Die Karotten-Ingwer Suppe war ausgezeichnet! Perfekt für einen kalten Regentag. Das Bier schmeckt auch. Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich.

Hier ist nicht nur das Essen erwähnenswert sondern auch die freundliche Bedienung. Trotz 30 Grad im Schatten und einem vollen Biergarten war die Kellnerin freundlich, lustig und mega auf Zack! Vielen Dank dafür. Das Essen war lecker und auch preislich vollkommen in Ordnung! Gerne wieder!

The restaurant is just on the main square of Pirna. There are cozy tables on the square(outside the restaurant). Dishes are good enough. We tried salad with mozzarella,mix of meat fried on the pan and fish with rice. Everything was super! The portions are rather large,but it is ok for one person. There is no wi-fi in restaurant,but it is not a big problem.
