Review for "Troll's Inn" – a magical place of a very special kind If you're in the mood for a unique experience, then head to the Troll's Inn! As soon as you enter, you're hit by the pungent scent of cold smoke, warm beer, and a deep-seated contempt for life – wonderfully authentic! The staff? Consistently unfriendly, but in such a consistent way that it almost passes for conceptual art. After a few half-baked sips of my lukewarm hop tea (supposedly beer), I ended up in Diagon Alley via the backyard – thanks to a tip from a previous review. A totally inconspicuous passageway, right between the rickety toilet window and the trash can with the three cats on it. There, I had the shopping trip of a lifetime! I am now the proud owner of a real magic broom (model: "Flying Carrot 2000") and an owl that constantly looks at me askance, as if it had analyzed my drinking habits. My bag of sickles and galleons is now empty – but hey, style has its price. I even treated myself to a decent butterbeer there to forget the stale hop tea. A huge thank you for the tip about Diagon Alley! Finally, I don't have to trudge to London's Leaky Cauldron every time. I hate Floo Powder, and Disapparating makes me feel as sick as after three mugs of Trolli Beer. Conclusion: For magical encounters, questionable drinks, and a pub atmosphere that would make even a Dementor say, "No, this place is too negative for me" – absolutely recommended! I'd gladly go again.

Ah, the good old corner pub. No overpriced craft beer, no oat milk latte macchiato, and no vegan bowl in sight – just warm bottled beer, a stubborn slot machine, and the quaint smell of stale history and cold cigarette smoke that stubbornly refuses to leave 1997. The decor? A trip back in time to the era of "rustic oak meets yellowed football posters." The music is provided by the landlady, who has decided that Böhse Onkelz and Andrea Berg are a harmonious pair – and anyone who thinks otherwise should drink outside. The machine reliably devours small change like a hungry midnight snack, but at least it makes you feel like you're getting closer to total bankruptcy or a free drink with every round. The regulars are an integral part of the fixture – you get the feeling they've been bolted to the stools. New faces are eyed skeptically, but after the third beer, they're addressed informally and included in discussions about "how things used to be better." Conclusion: If you're looking for atmosphere, you won't find a hint of it here, but instead a pub with character – in the best and worst senses. Cult, edgy, comatosely charming. Best of all: The owners themselves still don't seem to know whether they're a "tavern" with historical aspirations or simply a "tavern" with spelling inaccuracies. Sometimes it's written one way or another above the door, sometimes on the wall – consistently inconsistent, just like the opening hours or the definition of "fresh" or "contemporary." And hey, warm beer has its advantages: You drink slower, think longer, and realize more quickly that you should rethink your life when you stop by here.

The Pirnaer Pub Trollischenke is no ordinary pub, but a secret transition between the world of Muggles and the world of witches and wizards. On one side of the pub is the busy main street, where the inconspicuous pub, invisible to Muggles, is completely hidden between a large bridge and a public toilet. On the other side of the Trollischenke is its backyard and from there a portal can be magically opened to a shopping street for witches and wizards, Diagon Alley. This access was once created by the generous and open-hearted landlady Ronny Müller. The Trollischenke doesn't seem like a well-known and important place, but rather dark and shabby. Nowadays the small, dingy-looking pub is run by an older landlady.

“The little pub on our street” fits like a glove!!! Beer prices compared to other places in the area are unbeatable!!!

Everything was great, just wonderful. Of course, only if you ignore the fact that warm bottled beer is served. The star is there because bottled beer is served. The place feels so dirty that draft beer isn't an option. A positive thing is all the “no smoking” signs. The negative thing is that customers are allowed to smoke right at the counter. One thing is certain, we won't be coming back!

If you have a taste for the absurd, you should stop by here. You are greeted, or rather not greeted, by a lady with the stature and mood of an East German ice skating coach. The greeting “Good evening” seems to be unknown here. Beer only from the bottle, which is slammed sullenly onto the counter (even after a generous tip). When I took out my e-book, the lady became active, came to me and said: "I don't want that." "You're not allowed to read here?" "I don't want that, you can drink beer and sit here but I don't want that." Truly a surreal experience. Gastronomy like in the GDR - matching the local GDR museum. Really something for nostalgics.

As a child I went there for ice cream with my parents, back in the 80's. Today you mainly get beer by the bottle or, if the waitress is having a good day, maybe in a half-day glass. So I would rather keep my childhood memories than the way it is there today. Yes, despite wanting to go there these days, the beer is cheap...😕

After being very disappointed at the pizzeria next door the second time, we went to Witwe Bolte. Our first impression: the ambiance is simple but cozy. The service is very friendly and attentive. We ordered, among other things, homemade lemonade, which was excellent. For dinner, we had a schnitzel for two people and a chicken breast for one. It looked beautifully presented, and our requests were easily accommodated. This was the best meal we had in Pirna. The schnitzel and chicken were so tender and delicious, it's indescribable. The value for money is excellent. The restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. Next time we're in Pirna and the surrounding area, we'll definitely be back!!! Addendum: We ate there again nine months later. The food was still delicious, and the staff was friendly, too.

The dishes are small, but just right for me! I think this isn't for those who are really hungry, I think! The prices are moderate, though!

Top-notch from the room to the food to the service, especially in the morning, the highly motivated ladies were super friendly. We stayed here for 3 nights with a classic car group and enjoyed excellent service every day! Highly recommended, the rooms are an experience =) Greetings from Switzerland
