"Altjessen 57" Hotel Pension - Café Restaurant - Campingplatz in Pirna

A small campsite. Very friendly operators. Great breakfast. The owner of the house is also the chef. Delicious food at a reasonable price. There's also a pool.

Our stay at the Altjessen 57 campsite was a wonderful experience. Those seeking Saxon hospitality will find it here in its purest form. ​We were greeted by the owner, who welcomed us with a warmth that immediately made us feel at home. As a skilled cook, he personally looked after our well-being in the evening, and we enjoyed a truly delicious meal. ​The landlady's commitment to leisure activities deserves special mention. She provided us with very useful information and great insider tips on hiking opportunities in the area. Thanks to her recommendations, we were able to discover some of the most beautiful routes. ​For us, it was the perfect blend of nature, relaxation, and an atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. We will definitely be back!

It was very relaxing, and the owners are very friendly. The breakfast was quite good. Public transportation is very easy to reach.

Nice campsite and well located on the Malerweg trail. We stayed one night in the caravan and didn't lack for anything. There's a toilet and a shower right next door (the campervan bathroom can be used, but the on-site restrooms offer more space). The breakfast was wonderful with everything you could imagine, and the owners were friendly and helpful.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The landlady was consistently unfriendly and, at times, outright rude. The atmosphere felt tense and unwelcoming throughout. While the room itself was adequate, the unprofessional and cold behavior of the host overshadowed everything else. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing or pleasant stay. Hospitality should be about making guests feel at home—sadly, that was far from the case here. Even though we had a very long hike ahead of us we could not have breakfast before 8am - unfortunately no fruits for breakfast either.

Altjessen 57 is the smallest campsite in Saxony😃 the couple who run it are super nice and run their small guesthouse and campsite with a lot of love! The restaurant, the rooms and everything around the house is lovingly furnished and designed. We had two wonderful days in Saxon Switzerland and Isa told us a lot about the area and recommended a few destinations! We would love to come back and wish Hans and Isa continued success with their lovely little campsite! 😀🫶🏻

Everything was beautifully designed and clean, and the owners were very friendly. The only downside was the musty smell and mildew stains around the bed! This room desperately needs to be renovated! Then I'll definitely come back.

Our room/apartment is very clean, the hosts are very nice. The woman really knows everything about this area and the man is a very good cook. This combination makes the vacation even more beautiful. We feel very comfortable here. Keep it up. 👍

Very hospitable and helpful hosts who invited us for a beer and a lot of information about the Malerweg. Nice room with private bath. The breakfast was also really good.

We stayed here for the first and last night of our hike along the Malerweg and felt very comfortable. Everything was very clean and lovingly furnished. The owner was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was varied and fresh. We would love to come back! 😊

Super nice host, was only there one night, there was nothing to complain about

The smallest campsite in Saxony! For us it had to be, toilet and shower not of the highest standard, breakfast (not included in the price) good, price for parking space, electricity and people above average (exaggerated) high!

This is the perfect place for a break. The room is cutely furnished with attention to detail, there is a refrigerator, a large wardrobe, the mattresses are comfortable and you can sit comfortably under the canopy. Cars and motorcycles are parked in the yard, which is locked at night. There is a lot of information material for excursions in the area, and there is a great swimming lake 4 km away, the Blue Wonder in Dresden 20 minutes by car. However, it is the host Hans who makes the big difference. Warm, communicative, passionate and humorous - every conversation is very entertaining and even brings me into the guest room to watch football together. Hans cooks himself - everything is fresh, regional and incredibly tasty. Some of the dishes on the small menu change daily, as does the breakfast selection. You don't even find that in the luxury hotel industry! The passion that lies in this guesthouse is evident everywhere.

Very nice and warm hosts. The rooms were great and clean and the food was delicious. There was a large selection for breakfast, something for everyone. We also received good information about the Malerweg free of charge as well as a private shuttle service because public transport wasn't running - thank you very much again for that. From our point of view, absolutely recommended accommodation.

On the Saturday before the 1st of Advent, we two friends were able to capture the great Christmas spirit in the Christmas Garden Pillnitz (only 6 km from the guesthouse). We were able to maintain this wonderful feeling with an overnight stay in the cozy guesthouse “Altjessen 57”. It was like coming home: very friendly hosts, great room with bathroom, breakfast in the Christmas-decorated guest room. And - whoever made it happen - snow (outside, of course). We went home very satisfied and in a positive mood.

I would like to give many more stars! The hosts are so warm and with so much passion that you can only feel welcome here. We had a parking space and used the shared bathroom. This included everything you need. The accommodation is very centrally located and is a great starting point for beautiful trips and hikes in Saxon Switzerland. The hostess took extra time to... Suggesting great hikes for us, which were really fantastic! The breakfast, which is included in the price, is exceptional! The food was also really delicious (pizza and schnitzel). The hosts do everything themselves from A to Z and you can feel it. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place where you feel at home away from your own home! We will definitely come back!

Wonderful holiday stay - from the reservation request to the farewell, everything was serious and professional! Accommodation, breakfast, pool, coffee and ice cream sundaes, high quality dinner - delicious pizza. The host family is simply great :). Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back. If you want to eat here, you should make a reservation in advance - it's always busy!

We were able to spend really nice days in a great little guesthouse. We felt completely comfortable. The host couple is very friendly and funny, we were able to have great and fun conversations in a family atmosphere. We received many tips for excursions in Saxon Switzerland. The cuisine is excellent and loving, thank you for the great Soljanka 😉. This place is on our travel list and we will visit again.
