Gutes Essen, tolles Personal, immer wieder gern 👍

Ein charmantes, traditionsreiches Restaurant. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause, das Essen ist hervorragend (die weiße Spargelsuppe ist köstlich) und die Atmosphäre ist warm und entspannt. Ein Garten befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Einzige Beschwerde betrifft die Portionen, die sind reihum zu groß geraten und es tut einem in der Seele weh, wenn man den Teller nicht schafft und der beachtliche Rest im Müll landet. Lecker ist es auf jeden Fall und auch die heute vorhandenen Mitarbeiter waren mit guter Laune aktiv. Was mich persönlich etwas gestört hat - aber das ist persönliches Empfinden - waren im Biergarten die Kunststoffblumen auf den Tischen.

Authentische bayerische Küche. Fast so, als wäre man nicht in der Stadt, sondern auf dem Land. Spargel auf einer Platte. Köstlich.

War zum Abendessen, sehr lecker und große Portionen. Bedienung waren alle super freundlich. Gerne wieder. Im Sommer sitzt man sicherlich auch im Biergarten sehr gut.

Ein echter Geheimtipp abseits der Touristenpfade, versteckt in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel im Osten Münchens – genau die Art von Ort, die man ohne Tipp nie entdecken würde. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre und das warme, gelbe Licht machen ihn zum perfekten Ort für einen entspannten Abend, insbesondere für ein gemeinsames Abendessen mit Kollegen.

5 Sterne – Mehr als begeistert! Zum Abschluss unserer Kurzreise nach München waren wir am Karfreitag, 03.04.2026, auf Empfehlung des Vermieters unserer Ferienwohnung im Wirtshaus zur Marienburg – und diese Empfehlung war ein absoluter Volltreffer. Wir waren zu viert dort essen und haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Essen war mehr als spitze. Schon das Apfelgriebnschmalz zur Vorspeise war hervorragend. Als Hauptgerichte hatten wir das panierte Schnitzel von der Hühnerbrust, das Bergbauernschnitzel im Pfandl sowie zweimal den Schwäbischen Zwiebelrostbraten – alles geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau, hervorragend zubereitet und absolut überzeugend. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal: sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und mit voller Überzeugung hinter dem eigenen Konzept. Das hat man bei jeder Empfehlung und jeder Erklärung gemerkt. Ich war selbst lange in der Gastronomie tätig und habe bisher noch nie irgendwo eine Rezension hinterlassen – hier mache ich ganz bewusst eine Ausnahme. Man sieht: Es braucht keine riesige Speisekarte mit allem Möglichen. Ein klares Konzept, Regionalität, selbst hergestellte Speisen und Mitarbeitende, die genau wissen, woher die Produkte kommen und was sie servieren. Genau das macht den Unterschied – und geschmacklich hat hier alles überzeugt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist mehr als gerecht. Für gutes Essen sollte man gerne bezahlen – und hier war es keinesfalls überteuert, ganz im Gegenteil. Obwohl wir eigentlich schon satt waren, haben wir uns noch den Nachtisch gegönnt: Schokoladenkuchen und weiße Tiramisu. Das war die Krönung des Abends und hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Besser kann eine Kurzreise kaum enden. Klare Weiterempfehlung – und wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir definitiv zurück! Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend!

Sehr freundlicher Service! Das Essen war hervorragend! Die Außenplätze sind schön in der Sonne gelegen und innen ist es auch gemütlich. Wenn es jetzt noch Augustiner statt Paulaner gäbe, wäre es perfekt. Aber zum Glück gibt es eine gute Auswahl an Spritz.

Gemütliches Wirtshaus mit gutem Essen. Leider wurden bei den vegetarischen Gerichten die Schupfnudeln von der Standardkarte genommen. Neu wurden Kartoffelpflanzerl aufgenommen. Leider nicht mein Geschmack.

Leider nicht mehr das Lokal, was es einmal vor Jahren war. Wir wohnen seid 15 Jahren in Denning und sind regelmäßig zum "Wirtshaus zur Marienburg"(Liebevoll das Marienburger genannt) gegangen. Die Preise steigen, verstehe ich auch. Aber Preise erhöhen und das Essen reduzieren und alles ohne Salat oder Kraut dazu und teilweise angebrannt, das geht leider nicht. Es waren auch nur wenige Leute im Lokal was mich schon verwirrt hatte. Gemütlich ist es noch immer und die Bedienung sehr gut & freundlich. Vielleicht versuchen wir es wieder im Sommer, da kann der ruhige Biergarten punkten.

Als wir noch in Daglfing gewohnt haben, waren wir Stammgast in der Marienburg. Seit ungefähr 12 Jahren wohnen wir nicht mehr in München, weshalb unser heutiger Besuch schon fast etwas Nostalgisches hatte. Das Restaurant hat von seinem urigen und dennoch modernen Charme nichts verloren. Das flackernde Feuer im offenen Kamin trägt zur Wohlfühlatmosphäre bei. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sehr gut gegessen. Wenn man wirklich etwas kritisieren wollte, dann wäre es vielleicht die aus meiner Erinnerung heraus kleinere Speisekarte als früher. Jedoch kann ich ganz klar sagen, dass die angebotenen Speisen sehr vielfältig sind. Ein zweiter kleiner Kritikpunkt könnte die Bequemlichkeit der Stühle und Bänke sein. Aber auch das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau und ganz klar, die Einrichtung passt einfach zum Konzept

Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß und das Essen schmeckt hervorragend. Auch der Cappuccino war sehr lecker. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hier sehr angemessen. Komme gerne wieder!

Wir haben im September dort eine kleine Hochzeitsfeier gehabt, die supergut organisiert wurde. Sehr freundlicher Besitzer beim Vorgespräch, fairer Preis und supersuperfreundliches Servicepersonal. Das Essen war sensationell und wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. 100 Punkte!

Es war unglaublich lecker! Ich bin so froh, dass ich meine letzte Nacht in Europa hier verbringen konnte! Die Suppe war kräftig und köstlich, die dicke Konsistenz in Kombination mit der sanften Süße der Kastanien machte sie einfach himmlisch. Auch das Schweinesteak mit geschmolzenem Käse und Schinken war sehr lecker! Die typische Süße von Schweinefleisch, ganz ohne unangenehmen Geruch und eine exquisite Textur! Die leicht angebrannten Kartoffelstücke waren ebenfalls ein Genuss! Ein Geschmack, der süchtig macht. Die junge Dame im Service war auch sehr nett und freundlich. Ich hatte beim Betreten des Restaurants etwas Bedenken wegen des starken Zigarettengeruchs, aber drinnen war davon nichts mehr zu spüren, was mich sehr erleichterte. Die Inneneinrichtung ist auch wunderschön!

„Das Wirtshaus Marienburg ist einfach ein fantastisches Restaurant! Schon beim Betreten merkt man sofort die gemütliche Atmosphäre und das freundliche Personal, das einen herzlich empfängt. Das Essen ist super lecker – frisch, gut gewürzt und perfekt zubereitet. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Gerichte von der Tageskarte, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail serviert werden. Auch die Getränkeauswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles in allem ein wundervolles Wirtshaus. Wir kommen oft und kommen jedes mal aufs neue gerne wieder. Ich kann das Wirtshaus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Ein wunderschöner Ort, etwas außerhalb des Zentrums, aber die Fahrt lohnt sich. Nicht überlaufen von Touristen, bietet er hervorragendes Essen und großzügige Portionen zu fairen Preisen. Das Personal ist außerdem super freundlich und zuvorkommend! Bei unserem nächsten München-Besuch kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ein kleines, sehr gemütliches Wirtshaus mit ganz viel Charme! Schon beim Eintreten wird man vom knisternden Kamin im Gastraum empfangen – einfach heimelig und ein echter Wohlfühlort. Die Speisekarte bietet eine zünftige Auswahl, die keine Wünsche offenlässt, und das Essen war durchweg köstlich. Traditionell, liebevoll zubereitet und wirklich lecker! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die unglaublich freundliche Servicekraft – aufmerksam, herzlich und einfach rundum sympathisch. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Parkplätze gibt es direkt an der Straße vorm Haus, also auch die Anreise ist entspannt. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Genießen – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wirtshaus zur Marienburg is a real hidden gem! The service is incredibly warm and attentive; you immediately feel at ease. In summer, the large garden is simply beautiful. Perfect for relaxing hours with good food and a laid-back atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The food was generally good, except for the venison goulash, which was unfortunately a bit tough. However, the service on November 7th, 2025, around 7 pm, was rather unfriendly, which made us feel unwelcome. We weren't offered dessert, coffee, or a schnapps, and at 9 pm, the bill was presented to us without us even asking. It's a shame, because as long-time regulars, we've always been satisfied – but this time, with seven people, we were disappointed.

Excellent service, very friendly and accommodating...everything fresh and of very good quality...very cozy and lovingly furnished...I can highly recommend it.

We went there for dinner on a Thursday after a conference, with two fewer people than announced. The table was immediately and graciously rearranged. The service was absolutely personable and attentive. The food was outstanding. Roast pork, Sauerbraten, and mushroom ragout – everyone loved it. The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was also incredibly delicious. High praise goes to the kitchen team. The inn is comfortably furnished in a traditional style, with everyday objects from our great-grandparents' time in the decorations; we felt very comfortable. All in all, a very authentic overall impression, a cozy atmosphere, and great food. The Spaten beer was also very popular.

The onion roast is world class and the waitress friendly and very quick

I started with a delicious salad with a great dressing... finished with a juicy schnitzel in the style of Cordon Bleu with mountain cheese. The place is a bit out of the way, but the food is excellent. I was very satisfied.

A balanced menu with something for everyone: Bavarian, Munich-style, vegetarian, and sweet. A large selection of drinks, including Spritz and Hugo. Always worth a visit. When the weather's nice, you can also sit outside.

I ate fried chicken here a few weeks ago. From the very first bite, I noticed that it was unfortunately raw inside. This caused me enormous stress and pain as a pregnant woman, as I have to do blood cultures every few weeks until the birth, and I may have contracted Listeria there. I find it unacceptable that they don't follow kitchen safety guidelines and don't control the temperature when cooking chicken. When we told them about the problem, they also said it had happened before and that "it wasn't a problem, it just meant the chicken was fresh"(?). What a response.

We were at Marienburg for lunch. They cook their own food here. We especially appreciated the sauces. Delicious, you'd want to sit down and eat! The roast pork is legendary, and the Gorgonzola pasta is also fantastic. The service was impressively fast. Even if you're short on time, you can still enjoy good, high-quality food here. We'll be back!

The food is consistently high quality, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly, whether outside under the trees or inside. The atmosphere is especially pleasant in winter when the wood fire crackles in the large fireplace.

Our favorite restaurant with really excellent food - a very good mix on the menu between classic pub dishes and more upscale dishes. The beer garden is beautiful and in winter the open fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere. Simply recommended!

We visited the Wirtshaus zur Marienburg on a Saturday afternoon and sat in the beer garden. The service was very friendly, but the food selection was a bit limited. The soup could have been warmer, and the bread with the cracklings could have been a bit better quality. So, there's room for improvement... I'd rather go to the Lindengarten in Trudering: same owners, but with better food 😉

Super friendly, great and attentive service. Drinks arrived first, lightning fast, and we practically didn't have to wait for the truly delicious food either. We were there at 5:30 p.m., and it wasn't busy yet, but you can see and feel that things are running smoothly and they've got it under control, even when it's packed... Highly recommended! It's definitely nice to sit outside in the beer garden in the summer too :-)

The food is ordinary, German. Nothing special. But their tables outside under the chestnut trees on the sunny side are a separate kind of pleasure. Drinking a beer in the cozy garden in silence is worth a stop here.

A quaint, very authentic, small inn with a guest garden in the middle of the residential area. We were there in January 2025 and really enjoyed the ambience with the fireplace and the many winter decorations. The food was wonderful, we had cheese spaetzle and roast pork. At the end there was apple fritters, all highly recommended. The service was also very friendly and open-minded. We'll definitely be back.
